Worth both the hype and the headache and is pleasently confusing
I loveeeed the first 6 episodes, their pace, their twists the feeling of not knowing, the messing with my mind... they were truly pleasantly confusing then it just got very, very strange to get really good 8 episodes later and continued to be great with everything I like in this type of drama, exept for enogh romance but they never claimed to have any so I am not allowed to complain, just stating what was missing that is all. This is a really cool, exhausting to watch drama, that I truly believe is worth both the hype and the headache But is one of those dramas you should take breaks from to both appreciate and cleans your mind from all the twists, mind games and horrifying scenes.
Some thoughts I had while watching where:
It feels like they are seriously trying to mess with my brain
I am pleasantly confused and I like it!
I'm watching episode 18 and the most illogical thing in this whole messed up twisted drama is how the h*** Moo Chi has not been fired I honestly can almost buy the insane twists but the job security for a cop in South Korea amazes me... but then again some cops in the US (and their countries) kill people and keep their jobs so maybe it's not as remarkable as I think it is...
So all in all this is a ride, a twisted, illogical mind messing ride with allot of guessing (mostly wrong), conspiracies and fun to

this drama. blew. my. mind.
I started watching this drama with expectations. I saw many people suffering headaches throughout the episodes, and it turns out I experienced the headaches too!đMouse is not your usual crime/thriller/action drama. It gives you goosebumps, confusion, and like I said: headaches!!
If you are intrigued to watch this drama, please know that this drama is dark, confusing, scary, cruel, and triggering. And if you are not a fan of a crime drama but just wanted to have a little twist to your genre, this might not be the perfect drama as it is a very heavy drama.
I am a big fan of a true crime movies and drama, and to put it simply: read my headline. This blew my mind. Every story, every step the characters make, every word, every thought, it has meaning at the end and whatever you expected: it will exceed it. Some characters might not seem important to you or some might be very important to you, but it won't turn out that way, and I for one experienced that myself.
While watching this drama, my only problem was the length of each episode, which is around 63-100 minutes and that some scenes were not necessary. But it doesn't change my view towards this drama, as it has perfect plot twist, and perfect acting shown by Lee Seung Gi and Lee Hee Jun.
This drama gives the perfect amount of emotions: sad, happy, awed, exciting, anger, and confusion. I'd easily give this drama a 9.5, mostly for the plot and the acting. One of the best crime/thriller k-drama for sure.

BEST THRILLER KDRAMA
Ending the âPredictableâ AllegationsLike most I went into the show thinking that Ba Reum was the physcopath as the poster of the show made it obvious. Right from the start I was suspicious of him. That slowly changed throughout the show, making me think i was wrong and the real physcopath was yo han but was still suspicious cause of the poster so i knew there was a plot twist coming. My views COMPLETELY changed right after the surgery happen, i was certain yo han was the physcopath and thatâs what made ba reum change.
OVERVIEW
I love the plot twists after every episode, the thriller aspect and how EVERY detail and backstory anre all connected. 10/10 Show, Well done and Pasted nicely. I kinda felt bad for bareum by the end how he got all his emotions back but i especially felt bad for yo han and his wrongful death :(

A very unique kdrama
I would like to start off the review by saying that this is one of the most unique mystery/thriller kdramas I've ever watched. The entire concept was very unique. This drama is definitely not for everyone because the plot is very complex and they purposefully leave you confused until the last few episodes; However, it's very fun to try to breakdown the plot with theories as a viewer and it's extremely satisfying when you start getting answers to your questions. I feel like the people who dropped this drama did so because they probably got confused by the complex storyline but they failed to realize that that's the whole point of the plot being so complex. This drama is a must watch because the plot is sooooo unpredictable and every episode ends with a bang, which I LOVEDDD. I have to say that this drama had one of the most satisfying endings I've ever seen in a kdrama because every character got the end that they deserved and the entire drama was an emotional ride. The message shown through this drama is so strong and well done. The acting was amazing as well. Was this review helpful to you?

Eerily Brilliant - A top drama of 2021
The opening starts with an intensity that Iâd argue most dramas donât have. Many dramas lead you in with a slow and sluggish start or start off fast and decline, however this is one of a kind. It had me gripping my seat every week as the story unfolded.Whatâs the most intriguing about this drama is the concept that psychopaths can be determined before they are born. This plays an important factor within the show, as the first episode gives you a detailed history of psychopathy, expectations, and experiences of the characters in the drama.
What I love about this is that it keeps you guessing at every turn, analyzing each characters perspectives as well as their actions. So detail oriented that you canât miss anything otherwise you miss a clue. What makes this show so eerie is the facial expressions, and the impending suspense that you get from them.
I have only completed four episodes out of twenty, however I have rewatched every one of them at least three times tying to find Easter eggs or come up with an explanation as to why the camera does a close up on someoneâs eyes in a specific scene. Itâs all linked together throughout the show, you wonât get enough of it. But I would highly recommend that one should watch it after more episodes release because it will drive you crazy!!
I believe this drama is so ahead of itâs time in a way, the complexity of each character is well developed and you can see why theyâre the way that they are because of the descriptive personal history.

i really enjoy it!!
honestly, from the start I had the feeling that bareum is a psychopath but in the middle of the drama i kinda doubt it because there were a lot of scenes that showed yohan is thr psychopath. the acting of all the cast especially lee heejoon and lee seunggi was very good, they managed to convey the emotions of their characters very well. the plot execution until the end was quite neat and clear, even though at the end there was no story about what happened to mrs. choi but it's enough, no need for season 2 in my opinion. Was this review helpful to you?

DRAINED AF ?
How to even begin...I mainly watched this drama without any sort of expectations or background about the story. Never read the synopsis and never seen the teasers, only for the single fact that Lee Seunggi is one of the casts. However, on my first episode, right of the bat, the captions in front had said âCounseling has been provided for the child actorsâ and damn that scared me. For my entire kdrama journey (I watch all kinds of genre too), it was my first time to see such a note and I was beyond intrigued. So I watched the first episode and I was scared the whole time. It was a first time experience of being scared not because of ghost characters but because of killers (I never get scared cuz itâs a character) but the way the killer has been portrayed on the first ep was damn scary for me for some reasons.
I watch All the Butlers (Seunggiâs variety show) and it has been said there in passing that he is the culprit so I had an inkling. But what surprised me was he wasnât acting like a culprit at all and my brain was torn between two possibilities and a hope that âoh maybe heâs not the culpritâ. Tbh I thought about this until the 18th episode, like is there going to be a big reveal that itâs all been staged and they messed with his head to make him remember things he never actually did. I guess the biggest struggle for me here was not figuring out whoâs the culprit because from the very beginning Seunggi was a very plausible candidate, the struggle was the âhopeâ that âit canât be this easy, heâs not the culprit is he? No how? Heâs build too much rapport with the other charactersâ but as episodes went by, that hope dwindled little by little. Call me crazy but I think thatâs what the writers are actually going for.
Next, this series showed how sick society is. Ba Reumâs psychopathic behavior was brought upon by society and irresponsible adults not through birth no matter how the story wants us to believe with all the DNA and stuff. Which comes to my next argument, imo itâs not Yohan that influenced his emotions but because he lost the violent memories and only remembered the good ones (which was highly influenced by the people around him only telling him the good things). Think about it, if he had been fed bu good things since childhood, he wouldnât have thought that the whole world was against him. If only his mother was the like Choi PD. The influence of the society plus the push of OZ in that direction happens in real life you know; some into violence and some into taking their own lives. How sad is that. What I hate about the society in this drama is that they all were playing âgodâ, which was shown at the end when they voted pro to aborting babies with psychopath genes. And they donât consider themselves serial killers that way? Thatâs like mass serial killing isnât it? Messed up.
Iâd be biased and talk about Lee Seunggiâs acting only in this review: HE BLEW MY MIND AWAY. I like him a lot really and I know how kind he is but his villainous self in this drama scared the shit out of me. He was that good; like how can you adore and loathe and pity him all at the same time? His character in itself was a roller coaster ride and he pulled it off so well. I donât think anyone can do better. They did well casting him for this role and kudos to him for taking this role. Hatâs off.
Despite this being an exquisite LSG performance, I give the rewatch value a very low score. Only for the reason that itâs mentally and emotionally excruciating to watch. It came to a point where I had to pause the video a couple or times just to watch something brighter and lighter in the feeling before continuing. Still, I do recommend giving this a shot, just be sure that you are mentally prepared.
Now...lemme just go back to 2019 and watch Little Forest Lee Seunggi cuz I needa wash my eyes from dark Seunggi hahahahaha...watch it guys MOST ADORABLE VARIETY SHOW â„ïž

They got me....over and over....
Man....the first time they really got me in this show was in like episode 4. It's really hard to get me, usually I am like 500 miles in front of any plot twist. But, they are suuuuper mean in this drama and intentionally mislead you at the end of almost every episode, so you spend like 80% of your time watching the drama like WTF IS EVEN HAPPENING OMFG I AM SO LOST. There are a lot of moving players in this drama, so it's difficult at first to keep track of everything. Those mean suckers use it to their advantage and at the end of Episode 4 they make you think Ba Reum has the little boy hostage. OMFG...I was SO PISSED. I was like...nooo why you take this sweetheart and turn him into the bad guy in episode MF 4?!!? I should have known then that I was in for a bumpy ride. They bring it all together as the drama progresses....but everything gets a lot more sci-fi than I had expected. Its still taking me some effort to get past the major gimmick of this drama. I won't spoiler it for you, but I was like....this some serious sci-fi BS right here. Except... nothing else in the drama is sci-fi at all. So like...it doesn't mesh well in my brain to only have that one weird "technological advancement" that the entire drama is centered around when it's so far outside the realm of possibility in the modern world setting. I think fantasy/sci-fi dramas work best when they have multiple outside-of-reality plot points.
I will say this....maybe skip this drama if you are soft hearted about pets being brutally murdered. Like ok, they put a disclaimer that it's not real and the pets are fine...but you can only watch so many puppies and kittens and birds and mice be slaughtered and still be ok, even knowing they're CG. I had to cover my eyes a few times so only the subtitles showed because I just didn't want another dead puppy in my brain. It's weird right? Like you could show me piles of dead bodies on TV and I'll be like...oh so it's a murder show. But show me one dead puppy and I'm like... YOU GD MF BASTARDS HOW TF YOU KILL A CUTE LITTLE PUPPY WTF. Aside from the general human gore, the only other disturbing thing I saw in this drama is that Lee Hee-Jun (older detective lead) has one nostril like SIGNIFICANTLY larger than the other. ....there were a lot of up-nose shots of the poor dude.
Overall, if you can tolerate the gore, this was an exceptionally well done crime thriller drama. The acting was across the board well done (except that one weird scene from the past with english speaking actors who were all so bad it made me physically cringe...the valley girl they had in the wheelchair who was supposed to have CP delivered some of the worst acting I have seen in my entire life...that whole segment should just be axed it was so hard to watch). The writers and directors did a super great job stitching together such a compelling twist filled narrative that managed to keep multiple plot threads all woven together without any significant plot holes or tangles. Definitely one of the better detective crime thriller K-dramas I've watched. Masterfully coordinated.
I'll probably rewatch this at some point, in a year or two after I've forgotten most of the finer plot points so that I can relive some of the anxiety induced WTF IS GOING ON HERE moments.

Half-good / Half-bad
I don't know how to feel about this one. It's both good and bad...It's bad because it's totally predictable yet the writers try sooooo hard to confuse you the episode just because a big hard to follow mess.
But at the same time it's good because the main character is interesting, the actor is cool, the production and investigations are good.

Tenha muita sanidade pra ver do inĂcio atĂ© o fim
This story is a vendetta against psychopaths or killers?
I was excited about the show as a fan of this genre and I did enjoy the first couple of episodes but then it got frustrating. it had too many plots running parallelly. some of it was quite unnecessary and was just put to just keep the story dragging and to keep the audience at the edge of their seats. it felt like the writer hated psychopaths and was hell-bent on portraying them as monsters or evil things. Like every psychopath is born with a heavy desire to kill. This story is a vendetta against psychopaths or killers? I know the story is inspired by a true case but what was the writer trying to focus on? the heinousness of the crimes committed by psychopaths and their psychology or the suffering of the victims and their families? Well, for me it failed to do both. This show contributed nothing to this genre. It was purposefully made complicated with so many backstories and plots within plots to make this story have some meaning. The first half of the show felt like it was bait for the audience and the other half failed to deliver what we were promised. Was this review helpful to you?
