Mak Nye invites Geum Ok home and cooks up a big meal for her. Sam Saeng is upset with Mak Nye as she cleans up afterwards. Bong Chul wants to move back to his hometown and Sam Saeng asks Mr. Sa for money for the ginseng. Having been wondering what to do about Mak Nye, Mr. Sa tells Sam Saeng that he'll pay her. Bong Mu Ryong wants to hurry and marry Geum Ok off and Geum Ok tells herself that she'll steal Dong Wu away from Sam Saeng as revenge.
