Both are BL seies set behind the scenes of the BL industry. Very meta, right? They do approach the concept from very different angles though. Howevever, in both our MLs fall in love with someone the industry and fandoms tell them they can't be in a relationship with.

The love triangles in these two dramas feel similar to me.

Ps. This is coming from someone who has only watched "Lovely Writer". I have watched the trailer and a couple edits for "Love With Benefits", so take this suggestion with a grain of salt...

These two are bl series from Thailand with similar dynamics. The main character has no previous experience when it comes to love. When he finally finds love late, he becomes awkward with showing love.

Both shows take place in the entertainment industry and one of the main characters is an actor who is forced to hide his private life before his fans so that it does not destroy his career.
Both series are entertaining and sexy.

Both of these shows provide a commentary on the BL world. One of the first BL shows to criticize itself, in their respective countries.

Both plots are cute and unique. You Never Eat Alone also offers cute scenes and characters. Zee shows a different character that you'll definitely love.

Both have a lead who is a writer, both have steamy scenes (love sea is more intense). Both have cute main leads and a more dominant male lead. Both involve work issues and friendships.

I feel like they kinda give off the same vibe. Both are BLs about Fan Culture, the Entertainment Industry, and Social Media.

Amazing stories with great actors as main couple. Prime Thai BL, well made. Super exciting to watch.

Both are BL cohabitation dramas that feature a actor that desires to get close to his reserved and reluctant housemate.

While Happy Ending Romance (HER) follows the literary world, Lovely Writer focuses more on the entertainment world. They both highlight (to different degrees) the happenings behind the glittery facade of their worlds. They both have jealousy, hypocrisy, friendship and faithfulness. LW is a bit faster paced, lots of flashbacks (they have the time) while HER makes steady progress forward.

both are a romcom about:

- actor life and the thai film industry
- a secret relationship with an actor
- fan culture & social media
- supportive fans vs toxic fans
- also both have a nice queer f/m side couple
