Even Jasper's smile can't save this one.....

When you start a drama with zero expectations and even then end up disappointed then it has to be some out of the world mess ....I won’t be exaggerating…. it wasn’t actually supposed to be that bad, but it is.... There are serious issues with the storyline as a whole ….that drag it down to the point that no matter who’s a part of the cast it just doesn’t make a difference ...or maybe it does ...I count is a failure in selection of script by actors !!

The story line in itself is the main problem with the show ...okay I am not talking about cliches and all ...I know they are a part of every other drama ...so I won’t bother complaining about that

But the whole storyline (I am hoping you’ve read the synopsis and I can safely skip the brief about story) ...like it began well ...I was okay with the fact that ML hid his identity because of course you can’t just go and say I am that ass you were talking to...for like 6 years, after messing her thesis defense …(but man they just dragged it for like infinite time ...if there was something like a patience test then this would be the show they’d ask the applicants to watch as the test.)

And as if this wasn’t enough they even went like ...okay you got to control her life too ...from what job she does to what she’d eat ...freaking everything ..cuz Mr. Penpal knows her better than herself ...great !! Oh well let me not blame all of this on ML’s character when clearly FL is to be blamed equally ...if life decisions are that easily influenced then... I am sorry I have no words.

The first half (more like initial eps and not exactly 12 eps) was still a bit on the fun side and maybe actually likable but the second half ....

(For a show that tries to romanticize lying …I really don’t want to comment on how mediocre acting was ...or how bad things actually went ...but then you see I have to vent somewhere ....so I decided to write a review ...and actually talk about all this)

Moving to other things ...like second leads ...they are no better ….does the writer seriously think that controlling is love. No female character in this show has even the basic amount of self respect….like forget everything else they are just doing whatever their love says or for the sake of some imaginary "bs" that they, in their head, assume... is love …

A rant with a few scattered " SPOILERS" begins now (you’ll be fine if you know the general drama trend of c-romances …cuz there’s not a lot in the show... to actually spoil) ...but still read at your own risk !!

One that assistant in the lab ...a cheerful bubbly girl pretending to be a stone just because of her one sided crush ...oh wait to justify this ...of course he likes her back ...the question is does he even know that she’s a cheerful bubbly girl by nature ...oh heck
And the main point is…. Does she think she can pretend to be a stone for the rest of the time even if he does like her back for being a stone ...what about yourself ...aren’t you more important ?

Another one FL’s friend ...I guess she’s the best in the slot for viewers (more like best of the worst) ...of course even that won’t be tolerated ...they have to mess every character in every possible way ..so yes they did it …

Being honest by the end of the show where everything dragged like anything I couldn’t really care about any experiment or any cliche trope (childhood connection and all) ...only one emotion throughout...anger ...sometimes I wonder why I do this to myself ..but maybe I enjoyed being angry..... enough, to actually finish this …

The only consistency in FL’s character is liking her online boyfriend other than that I really can’t find anything ...at first she wanted to earn money ...all well till there ...suddenly she wants to become a better scientist ...okay still fine ….now she won’t even try to do that properly ...like what the heck ….she’s really unlikable ...the way she is written is as if someone forced the writer to doll up a spineless character to make it look like a really good one ...well according to me it’s a failed attempt at that …(ML will be considered as an example of successful doll-up….but that too unfortunately or fortunately is still doll-up)

I know I already said she has no self respect ...but even I was shocked to see how easily she forgave him....
....hell, they even forgot that some sort of chemistry was supposed to be there ....trust me the moment they officially became a couple I was like ...finally ….but no ...from that point on they had absolutely no chemistry ...or at least I with my own 2 eyes (both working well) couldn’t see it.

Also who came up with that “Forever is for ever” ....that’s the level of creativity that I am gonna mark as my limit of expectation from drama land ...I don’t think anything can surpass this.

This show also marks the limit of fiction for me ...well she doesn’t even know his name and they’re dating ...well trust me even this can’t be surpassed !!

And before I end this review of course I need to mention the highlight of the show ….ouyang’s makeup ...trust me nothing stands out in the show more than his makeup ...okay I get he’s an idol and all, but seriously ...ain’t this too much.

…. I won’t call this a waste of time …(just for the sake of cast) ...cuz I guess it’s okay to lie that much, ain’t it …?

Have a good time if you watch this ...you have my wholehearted best wishes, you’ll need it !!

And anyone who liked the show ...pls take no offence I am just expressing myself ...maybe in a bit harsh manner ..but can’t really help ...I just want to vent my anger ...and I believe this is a good place !

Sexist, unbelievable, and cringeworthy

I was excited when I saw the poster because I like both Jasper Liu and Zhou Yu Tong... so I went and read the online novel. My expectations plummeted -- the story is gaslighting at its worst, in that the only people who are ever "right" are the ML and the professor. Every female character is below anyone's esteem.

But I thought (fool that I was): Some dramas improve when they act. So I'll try it.

It was even worse than I expected. They managed to throw out all of the (mildly) positive things in the original story, and replace them with even more stupid sexist behavior. They make the FL even more dumb and passive, remove anything that might have ever been self-respect, and then even add temper tantrums. UGH.

I really should have dropped this one. But in my optimistic moments, I kept hoping...

It reminded me a bit of "You've got mail" -- a deeply problematic relationship where he stalks and manipulates her, but she forgives him in the end.

I'd love to know why Jasper and YuTong selected this script. What in the world were they thinking???

This is a disaster, a total disaster! The messy plotline, unnecessary-super annoying characters, un-un-unnecessary situations, weren't enough to destroy it? as writer decided to make the most unlikable leads with such a bland story and 0 chemistry.

It's not just sooo cliche and tropey but also hella boring. There's nothing as plot or story, things characters are just thrown to you without any context, and everything is scattered. With hella unnecessary arcs and setbacks. It starts with chemistry eventually goes into biology.. then becomes medical, with a typical, stereotyped way to show how scientific research word.

How can I forget some there are quite a bit of very non-nonsensical scenes.. the 'gun' scene in the first episode, I wasn't sure if I should be laughing or crying at writers for taking viewers stupid.

I just checked genres apparently it's rom-com, wait.. comedy? is it there? I don't remember laughing even once :')

Now you may think when romance starts you'll at least have a bit of chemistry.. that you totally deserve from leads but it's opposite, there wasn't any, to begin with, but then it goes negative... the most cringy-est and uncomfortable scene, when you want to skip romantic scenes in rom-com.. is it any less than disaster?

So you've been in contact for 6 years apparently in 'love' and you don't know that person's any information even name? does it make any sense lol...

Our FL Bai Ling Ling what to say about her, she has no work ethic. She doesn't know what she wants... so if your goal is getting the job to make money, then you would hard work for that, right? at least won't screw up your thesis that your graduation depends on it. She's just so unbearable as her mood swings, or should I say personality swings. Girl, don't you value yourself a little bit? I mean who just forgive someone who was literally deceiving you all the time as if nothing happened, oof.

I don't think Zhou Yu Tong is any fit for this role lol... I just can't see her as a university student, specifically in this type of role.. she just doesn't fit. Plus her character is pretty bland almost no range in acting, so a waste of everything.

Oh gosh, Yang Lan Hang, I need to know what writers think when they create such 'High-IQ-but-No-EQ' characters, I mean intelligent people should at least have common sense, or be smart enough to figure out things.. even if they are socially awkward. I bet I've never encountered a confused character than him lol.. bruh what do you want? so you also want to have an online relationship with her but you also want her to like real you? and yet you get jealous of yourself.

The casting choice is wrong totally, Yu Tong and Jasper don't look a couple or compatible but they don't have on-screen chemistry too.

Almost all support roles are poorly written and pretty much useless. They don't even clear twin-thing for quite a while... which may lead you to have assumptions of DID (dissociative identity disorder). Side couples are pretty much uninteresting as their characters.

The first few episodes have choppy editing as if they didn't bother to put in any effort. Flashbacks, scene transitions are all over the place. Styling is just
so weird, I don't know what era suits Jasper is wearing but they look old.

In conclusion, I'll say. Don't watch it!
Whoa I'm writing the conclusion, when my whole review is screaming not to watch it xD

How A Scientist Developed His Relationship With Online Girlfriend

Fall In Love With Scientists ~
A drama based on adaptation from novel "Dang Ai Qing Yu Shang Ke Xue Jia" (当爱情遇上科学家) by Ye Luo Wu Xin (叶落无心).

▪️Main Points
~ Two people get to know in online chatting app and became closed then fall in love to each other.
~ A scientists who fall in love with his online friend, Bai Ling Ling, trying to get closer and makes her feel happy even though she doesn’t know actually he was her real online friend.

▪️Short Synopsis
Yang Lan Hang was a scientist and became a professor at his young age. He leads a research group to make an experiment regarding the seeds and cells. He was handsome tall man who fall in love with his online friend, Bai Ling Ling. They keep in touch in online chatting for 6 years without meeting in real life even at once. Bai Ling Ling was about to graduate from university. Unfortunately, during her thesis presentation, Yang Lan Hang found a mistake in her thesis and causes her failure to graduate. She thought he was the reason she’s failed so she dislikes him and want to revenge. In online chatting, both of them have a great communication and happy relationship. But in real life, they’re keep arguing and became unhappy. Yang Lan Hang knew she was his online friend but she doesn’t know that. Yang Lan Hang was afraid to tell her the truth about him and just want to be her friend in online chatting.

▪️Opinions
~ For me, it’s was a bit unrealistic to fully trust someone in online chatting without meeting him in real life. It even harder to fell in love in virtual world unless we’re already knew beforehand.
~ To keep in touch in online chatting and depending on unreal boyfriend was really hard for Bai Ling Ling. But she doesn’t care about it and relying on her feeling too much.
~ Yang Lan Hang had many chances to tell the truth about his identity as ‘forever was for ever’ to Bai Ling Ling but he keeps it from her and acts like nothing happened between them.
~ Guan Xiaoyu was a cheerful and sweet girl who can make others fall for her. She was closed with Pan Pan and want him to be her best friend but she needs to keep herself away from him if she’s not like him. Otherwise something bad might happen to her.
~ The twin brothers have so different characters. One was a playboy and another one was an introvert man. I think Guan Xiaoyu should be able to distinguish which one was the real Ouyang Yifan since she’s been with him for several times.
~ I think the second couple was more interesting than the first couple in this drama. Even Ouyang Yifan was a bit crazy and naughty but he was kind hearted. He spent his money to buy all the Guan Xiaoyu's handbag without she knew it. He also liked her and changed his playboy character for her.
~ ML and FL after in relationship were more sweet with their fluffy love. They did not hide their relationship and always show their sweetness to others.
~ The development for the third couple was bit late and short. They confessed their love and be together in the last episode. I think their relationship was a bit blank and not really progressive.

▪️Characters Intro
~ I have seen many dramas acts by Jasper Liu. I love his taiwanese drama, Before We Got Married. He was a sweet and handsome actor. He acts as Yang Lan Hang, a scientist who responsible for a research project. He has an online friend and fall in love with her. He was a bit silly when it comes to love relationships but he was a very straight and respectful in his research development.
~ Zhou Yutong acts as Bai Ling Ling who cares about her grandmother. She studying and works at the same time in order to make some money. She was a bit silly and slow in relationships. She did not knew that her online friend was actually her senior, Yang Lan Hang. I hate the ways she’s dressed like boy. She likes to wear a hoodie, sweet shirt and jeans. She also was undetermined which she keeps changing her mind either to further study or to work first. I think she should think hard first before choosing to any ways that’s she want.

The production was doing a good job since it’s showing on how the scientists worked for their research in the lab. Several drama doesn’t show what kind of research or jobs that scientists need to do. They’ll skipped that important parts and only showed the storyline of their dramas. I respected the production works in this drama. It’s really good to see what happened during the research conducted and what’s important things that scientists need to know when conducting the experiment.

▪️Overall
I think the drama was a bit interesting in the middle episode to the last episode. Both ML and FL have great chemistry and also entertaining to see. Even their online relationship more interesting than the real world’s relationship but I think it’s still good.
The show lasted with the scene of epidemic happened in their country. They as the researchers want to develop the research on protection for their life in order to help the country overcome the pandemics. I think maybe because of they were the researchers, so the production want to make the last scene by relating to the latest case.

I am more interest with how Ouyang Yifan proposed the marriage to Guan Xiaoyu. He followed on what she preferred. She want him to propose in front of many audiences. So he came out with the video call with many people to witness his propose to her. She was touched by his ideas and she so happy.

I liked the drama was short but ending with the happy ending for all the couples. It was kind of sweet and great for the audiences to watch this drama.

Push through to Episode 12 and you will see a different light

First off i have some different opinion with many viewers. I see lots of negative reviews which i can totally understand why.
For me i like the casting of the main leads and i like the FL bestie for i think their acting is above average to good(story and character aside). I always like Zhou Yu Tong's acting she does not disappoint me at all. She has always been a super good actress just that most of the drama she is in has lousy script.

I have to be honest that i almost drop the drama at around episode 5. That is because the FL has super lousy character and she is annoying as hell. She always blame others instead of looking at her own problem. The best part about this show is her character development, where she slowly realises her own short coming and incapabilities and lack of passion. Her lack of passion for her work as a scientist and always have the thought of giving up getting her PHD is understandable as her priority has always been making more money to support herself and her grandma. Think about it, most have us will behave the same way if our immediate priority is to make money to survive.

Her development into a better version of herself is almost entirely thanks to our ML whom is always directing her and helping her. YES she was annoying and really unlikable initially but to me its understandable how the ML is in love in her from the start. After all he has always known her and have always been talking to her as an "online friend" i believe as annoying as she is during the chatting period as an "online friend" the ML has see something in her. Unlike the recent drama "Cute Programmer", where i could not understand how the FL fall in love with the ML at all and is a total disaster level drama which i ultimately drop. As a comparison this drama is way better. (To viewers that was able complete The Cute Programmer i salute you.)

ML is also over dramatised with super low EQ, where i must say he is a really stupid genius which is also annoying. THIS plus super annoying FL is the reason why i almost drop the show. The first half of the drama for me is filled with mixed feelings, mostly angst and irritation over the main leads.

However towards episode 12 i start to like the show more and more. It start to feels like a "feel-good" ROMCOM and all the angst disappear. FL develop slowly and steadily becoming more and more likeable. She slowly has passion for her work and did her best for her exams with everything she has got. Finally make up with the ML and does not have as much stupid misunderstanding as compared to the first half. One complain for the second half is that the ML took too much time to confess that he is "forever and ever" which leads to FL angst which is also understandable. But she has always liked him(the online friend) and also fell in love with the real life version so how can she not forgive him? Maybe its not even really about forgiving, she never said she forgave him. She just love him and want to be with him even though he hid her identity from her for so long making her feel like a clown. After all the ML did nothing to hurt her but instead has been helping her throughout. And it is also understandable why he hid his identity so "I" ended up forgiving the ML LOL.

Enjoyment value for first half: 5/10
Second half: 8.5/10
The second half did well in redeeming the first half.

BTW sorry for roasting the cute programmer here HA. HA

Kudos-

A Virtual Romance

It is a pity that a few things went wrong with this Chinese drama when you have 2 people who have proven acting skills being chosen as the leads. I see it as a waste of their talent and effort. But first of all, you must be open to the concept of online dating if you are thinking of watching this. The female character has known someone online for more than 6 years. She has been chatting with him but does not know his name and how he looks like. But she still falls for him and has no interest in any other guys.

Okay, if you are comfortable with that kind of romance, then you will be less likely to feel that the whole story is farfetched. After all, she doesn’t know the identity of her online boyfriend for a large part of the drama. She just knows that she loves him and considers him as her boyfriend as the drama progresses although she hasn’t even seen a picture of him before. Hence, it is hard to really relate to this story as it is too detached from reality.

Poor Plot Structure
Personally, I think this storyline has potential to be a hit but the screenwriter has failed to structure it properly to present a more emotional and believable romance. I don’t think it is necessary to elevate their online friendship into a romance because it is just not realistic when they have never met. If they have preserved the online buddy concept like in Moonlight, this might be more watchable.

Even if a virtual relationship is integral to the plot, it fails to hook viewers into rooting for the couple. This is because little time is spent to make viewers feel that the online relationship is worth pursuing. There is just no justification for that obsession that he is the one when she doesn’t even know his name. They are normally just chatting with each other like buddies that the romance, if any, just seems fuzzy.

As a result, when the relationship moves to the real world, you can’t feel that emotional depth. What begins online with little romantic vibes just can’t suddenly transform into a great real romance. This is especially so when the plot also fails to make the 2 characters be more loving towards each other before the girl finds out the guy’s identity. I guess they can’t because she already has an online boyfriend and this is where the kink is in terms of the plot execution.

Serious Lack Of Chemistry
This is probably the main reason why Fall In Love With A Scientist can’t really take off. The leads lack chemistry as a couple. The romance looks bland and uninspiring. Perhaps the poor plot execution contributed to it but the leads themselves fail to give us a convincing performance as lovers. There is simply no spark between them. It is such a far cry from Zhou Yu Tong’s partnership with Simon Gong in Begin Again and Jasper Liu also had better chemistry with Shen Yue in Use For My Talent.

I don’t really know where the fault lies because the leads’ acting isn’t exactly bad either. Zhou Yu Tong and Jasper Liu did bring out the essence of the character that they are playing. She gives Ling Ling a very ordinary personality with lackadaisical attitude while he displays the required awkwardness in Yang Lan Hang’s character. But once you put them together, they just don’t seem to match. It could well be the case that the way the characters are written just makes them an oddly paired couple.

Unalluring Characters
I see Ling Ling and Yang Lan Hang as opposites of each other. Ling Ling is expressive and direct. Yang Lan Hang is an introvert and not very sociable. She sees her job at the lab as a means to earn money while he is dead serious about his research work. It should be the case of opposites attract but somehow, the outcome just falls flat.

I don’t see Ling Ling as annoying but neither is she very likable. There is nothing to make her really stand out unlike the gutsy Xia Qian in My Bargain Queen or the principled Su Xiao in The Ideal City. Instead, Ling Ling is silly and immature at times. As for Yang Lan Hang, he is merely a brainy guy to me and there is nothing cute about his character unlike Zhou Sheng Chen in Forever And Ever. In short, both the main characters are just not alluring enough to draw viewers into their love story.

My Verdict – Little Reason To Watch
Unless you have watched all the recent romance dramas and there is nothing else on the table, there is really little reason to choose this title. I know rom-coms don’t normally have great plots but what usually makes them watchable is some level of chemistry between the leads. A mind-blowing chemistry can make a very average romance drama into something special. Think of My Little Happiness and You Are My Glory. But Fall In Love With A Scientist just don’t have the required romantic vibes to pull it out of mediocrity given the average plot.

It is also a relatively clean romance drama which is akin to Our Secret. There are kisses but nothing spectacular for you to drool over. So, the overall romantic feel for the drama is kind of muted from the plot to the skinship. I’m not saying steamy kisses are a necessity but you certainly can’t have missing sparks in a couple’s interactions for a romance drama.

The last few scenes for the ending may also feel weird for some. It is certainly different from the typical ending of a rom-com. But on the plus side, this drama does go into more detail on the protagonists’ work so that you can understand what they are researching on.

For this Fall In Love With A Scientist review, I can only rate it 6/10. Watch it only if you are a big fan of the leads and you think having an online boyfriend whom you have never met is sane. Otherwise, just pick another title to spend your time on.

Finished this drama for 3 days, my fast pace for 24 episodes drama is 2 days.
I'd say the story is not a strong attractive one, but ok, a light hearted.

We know this drama has happy ending, but i was curious about the process, it's ok.
Well, my educational background might play big role for me to stick with this drama until the end. I'm a chemisty bachelor, my self. Psst.. i thought they might explore nuclear chemistry, instead of biochemistry :p
.
I'm new to Jasper Liu's acting project, i deliberately avoid him for his sweet boy face, i prefer bad boy look ;)
The synopsis about online frient got my interest and i have no other drama to watch, so i watched this with no expectation.

My Likes
- I felt this drama contains few fresh jokes, like the scene where Yan Langhan carried Lingling with her eyes closed or when Ouyang, Lingling and Xiaoxiaou discussing about SP group blackcard.
- It's rare to see competitors complimenting each other on drama, as yan langhan did to minghao
- Appreciate all casts effort adapting with laboratory environment, such how to mix solution on your reaction tube
- Positive relationship with grand/parents
- I like that bai lingling is a tomboy for the whole episodes, no major change on her fashion style, as if the male lead accepted her for who she really is
- I like that Bai Lingling and Yan Langhan didn't suddenly jumped out of each other on their first night being under the same roof. In fact this is the my reason for no longer watching korean and to avoid holywood drama. My Asian blood loves innocent approach :)
- On my eyes, all characters built their characters so well, especially Jasper Liu as Yang Lanhang. While Ouyang Character neeed a little improvement, i felt this actor forced himself to deliver Bright Ouyang, while his preference is the Silent Ouyang (obviously, one sided judgement), i think Bright Ouyang can be delivered with his naughty eyes

my Confusion
- they don't explain further about the first scene, where yan lan hang was about to get shot by a betrayer
- yan langhan didn't have operation scar on his chest
- why yan langhan can have a light run with lingling, when he can't play 1-on-1 basketball with minghao?
- some cut-scene caused me a confusion, like "didn't think the previous episode stopped there"
- all of a sudden, the first project the fought for almost 22 episodes ended with no celebration of a distinctive scene which stated "the 1st project ended well, we just need their patent" and there was no update about this project at the end of the episodes
- i think they don't need to add story about covid effect, kinda unnecessary. they can end it with main couple planning their marriage or having their engagement

I might not rewatch this drama, so i put 6 rewatch value.

All in all, this drama is ok

ps : have mercy on my grammar mistake ;)

Rife with gaslighting

This started out okay but then the director and scriptwriter made some choices that not even Jasper's smile and Zhou Yu Tong's acting can save.

I found the ML's mood swings, especially when it comes to the FL's "work ethic", bewildering. I find it difficult to reconcile myself to the power differential between them. Furthermore, the ML seems to be withholding important information about his identity, and is making decisions for her (i.e. either through good intentions or through a lack of understanding) which end up making her life harder than it needs to be. If you are going to assert professional control over someone -- senior v junior -- then keep it to that. Stop making it personal and/or using personal information to manipulate the other party forcing them to come around to your way of thinking because you think it best.

How can the FL trust someone who takes away so many of her choices when it comes to self-determination. That is not love. This is an exercise in control. Furthermore, the FL started out well. Sure, she was a little frivolous, a little serious, has her pride -- who among us doesn't. And doesn't always make the best or smartest choices -- again, who among us does? But the systematic chipping away of her agency, making her look unprofessional - when she started out fine, and generally someone who is constantly on the back-foot -- apologising for herself? None of this is cool.

I don't watch dramas to get angry at chauvinistic nonsense. I see enough of that in real life. And if I wanted to watch people playing life or death games trapped by limited choices and circumstances I would watch Squid's Game. Not a drama that describes itself as a rom-com.

Light Drama

In my opinion, this is a light drama, easy to understand, funny, and adorable. Zhou Yutong always gives good acting, I like her since the drama Begin Again. when Ling ling and Lang han scene, they are very funny and fresh. you can watch this drama in your free time because it can be enjoyed without thinking too much. Actually, I'm always waiting for scene Yinfan and Yifan together with their girlfriend in one room, I think that will be funny LOL.For the minus, I think little disappointed with the ending, it feels like something is missing, I don't know what but feels like not complete,

Great actors, not-so-great story execution

Don't have high expectations for this drama, but its a decent filler drama that is very light. To be honest, the storyline was just not the best...at first I thought it was fine as a low-drama slow-romance story but the little plot towards the end just did not match the pace of the storyline. The only reason I have given this drama a passing rating was because of the actors and production (cinematography was decent with a good color balance and it seemed like they tried to avoid dubbing, which I appreciated).
One thing that I have not yet read in other reviews or comments:

While I appreciate a realistic slowness of romance and research (this 24-ep drama spans a few years with no "time skips"), it's just a bit disappointing to see how unrealistic they portray research. After seeing how realistic science can be portrayed in the likes of You Are My Glory, its quite disappointing to see this in 2021. Average labs look like the lab they call "gross and old" (in fact, that was a very clean and organized lab...other than the rat she saw). It is *never* okay to eat in a lab (maybe you can sneak in a snack into an engineering lab) but they always eat and bring food in? impossible with their "strictness"...leaving your waterbottle outside a lab could be standard procedure in a real lab. Also the questions they ask while they seem well on their way through development seemed really basic (especially towards the beginning). These are just some issues with the science part...and they could've consulted an undergraduate to know these things. I know its the dramaworld and there are many unrealistic situations, but I feel like these are basic things (I don't even want to talk about how they're conducting experiments) and I'm no where close to an expert.

Also some have commented on how unrealistic the online boyfriend thing was...but we have shows like MTV catfish so I don't think this storyline is out of the realm of possibility. Also, they don't start dating until later. They started off as internet friends who eventually developed feelings for each other.

TLDR: If this was a 5-min clip web drama or 40-ep long drama, I would've instantly dropped. But because its only 24 eps, its another excuse to see Jasper Liu and Zhou Yu Tong act. Also, its not a very dramatic or sweetness-overload drama so don't expect that.

Ke Ai

Hi guys. This drama has some flaws and not perfect but still I liked it. It's cute. I've watched Yu tong in other dramas as strong and smart, but this time there is naivety and for me I think she is good at both. It's my first time watching Jasper.

Things I liked:
I love the innocent and cute male lead, he is naturally cute.
I love the development of the Female lead, especially when the teacher and the actress told her to leave Yang Lan Hang but she stand firm and didn't listen to them. I love that attitude.
I love there cute interactions, it made me giggle and giggle haha.
I like the player Ouyang, maybe because I always liked thos second lead with this personality beside the main.
I liked that there is no potential third party. There are a lot of wooers but they don't have potential to the leads at all.

Things I don't like:
I don't like the whole existence of the other Ouyang. I liked the idea of the Ouyang twins but the character is too much.
I was quite angered with the Forever is for ever thing where they dragged it so much. Although, It's was cleared for me when they made the whole confession (I cried at that part)
I expected and anticipated a good proposal from the lead but they only showed us pre-proposal. I thought that it will happen after the 2nd couple but it didn't.

I don't see myself re watching this but I enjoyed, laughed and cried for it.
Still, I highly recommend this for others to watch. It is light hearted and enjoyable. CUTE
