Nothing I have ever watched or probably ever will watch could call me single more than this series
If you're looking for your next cute romance kdrama, this is the oneEvery episode definitely brought me a lot of laughs and there were only a couple tears along the way :')
The one way I reckon this drama rly stood out was character likability - I'm usually pretty harsh and extremely picky when it comes to characters I like, but this was probably the only time I've come to rly like all of the main cast, even side characters too, (Except for the 2nd lead ofc, don't hate me pls, I just always hate the 2nd lead character, I can't avoid it)
But overall its definitely one I'd recommend, a great casual light hearted watch :))

Started up bad but ended up good.
For someone who watched the original version, I can't help myself but to compare. But in this review, I'm going to limit the comparison and mainly focus in this Korean version.First of all, as a fan of Kim Yohan since PDX101, I'm so happy that finally he made his acting debut. But tbh, his acting is kinda stiff and confusing. I understand that it is his first acting but the viewers need more than that. Poor acting really affects the whole show.
Same with So Juyeon. I love her so much in Dr. Romantic but his role here is cringe and look like she's forcing to be cute and clumsy which didn't really work.
Yep Hoe Hyun's acting on the other hand, is commendable. He's cute and sexy at the same time. Wu Busong and Woo Dae Sung, you both match and did your role perfectly.
Then we have Jung Jin Hwan. Unlike the C-version, I don't find him cute, adorable, and funny. I'm not really happy but still he did well too.
The good thing about this remake is how they change the episode of Kang Ha Young not falsely admitting that she is the one who gives the medicine to her depressed classmate. In the Chinese version, I was really annoyed by that scene.
The first part of the story (during their highschool days) is pretty boring and plain. The only reason I keep watching is to finish what I started. Thankfully, the moment they enter University, the story is getting good and I'm glad to see that progress.
The music really fits the concept, I like it more than the remake of the drama itself.
Overall, I give this a rating of 7.5 over 10. If only they manage to be consistent from the very start, maybe I can give them a higher rating points than this. I'm sorry Yohan but I'm just trying to be objective and hopefully on your next drama project, I can see your improvement. A Love So Beautiful Korean Remake is cute and sweet but not really memorable.

A huge serotonin boost
This was so cute. This made me smile (and cringe) the most of all the dramas I watched. Please check out my bio for the standards of a 10/10 drama. And a disclaimer: just because it's a web drama and an idol actor, my mind already had prejudice against it.
This was such a happy feel-good drama. I literally had no negative and crying points in this drama. The story was problem-free, simple, and was carried mostly by comedy. There was little to no unnecessary drama. One thing I love is that all the characters had a happy ending, which not many web dramas or dramas can deliver. I know this was originally a Chinese drama, but I can say for sure that I enjoyed this one a lot more (no offense~).
The cast was amazing. I can say for a fact that the female lead carried this drama, though the other characters contributed their fair share. The cast was perfect for their role, but I still can't rave enough how perfect JuYeon was for the role. I actually came to support Yohan ex-X1 and WeI member, but I can say for sure I stayed for both the leads.
Lastly, this is the best thing about short dramas: the music. The OST sung by SinB was such a bop that I even added it to my daily playlist.
Overall, I would definitely RECCOMEND this especially for times when you are feeling down.

Cringy
This drama is so cringyThis is the first drama where I just can't finish it omg it's awful
This drama is a spin off of the Chinese drama from 2017 (which I have not watched) so maybe my opinion doesn't count since I've not watched it but for the korean spin off I'm sorry its awful
The female lead is annoying and cringe I just wanted to slap her, she comes across as a stalker and its not cute
The male lead is so moody and dry
I really liked the 2nd male lead he really tried everything for the lead but she was so stupid and bruh I can't HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE YOU'RE IN A LOVE TRIANGLE!!!!!!
The 2nd female lead had a big crush on one of the teachers and I think he liked her too she was underaged bruh don't romanticize pedophilia

I really don't wanna be mean, but at some times I thought that the female actress who plays Shin Sol-i is too old for her character or that the other cast members look too young. To me, it's obvious that she's not the same age as the rest of the cast (since they're supposed to be from the same year) and that bothered me little. But, I do know that she's literally perfect for the role and her smile is really contagious, which is one important aspect of Shin Sol-i. She just appears older.....
The acting was okay.... I mean it's obvious that they're acting/it didn't really feel natural, but I get that vibe from all cheesy dramas. The music on the other hand, BOMB. Sooo cute. It added so much to the drama and I couldn't help but smile when I heard the music coming in.
I won't be able to make a comment on if the Chinese version is better, since I didn't watch it. Although Shen Yue (who plays "Shin Sol-i" in the Chinese version) is really a sweet person, so check out the original drama too.

Not the best of K Drama
Cute , mildly enjoyable , light hearted , easy to watch if you have nothing better to watch , but far too long .The teenage years dragged on to the point that SoJu Yeon ( good in Lovestruck in the city ) became quite boring although kind hearted and well meaning . As to Kim Yo Han he never really grew up , he looked the same at 30 as he was at 15 . They did not managed to age him or make him look more mature . And then the story jumps and the adult years went at a pace without any real character development . The reason why she broke up with him was badly managed and I lost patience with the whole lot of them but continued watching to see how they would end it . Only after 23 episodes most of the issues were tied up . so not the best of dramas but some good acting from the cast and the dance at the wedding was probably the best scene of the series !!

The cuteness overload saved the show
This show has a great story of staying by someones side and by being nice to them trying too make someone fall for you. Not a typical depiction, but a really refreshing and pure approach to it.Unfortunately this show lacked also quite a bit. The show obviously tried to mush to much story within to little time which made a lot of the minor story-lines look unfinished and rushed. They tried to fix this by not putting to much depth in the dialogues, which made them cringe and superficial.
Ok then how did you give this show still a 9 out of 10?
Well the main couple with an huge emphasis on the Lead Actress was unconditionally and ingeniously CUTE! I lost count how many times I almost perished from cuteness-overload.
The lead actress So Ju Yeon was just perfect for the role. She really carried the whole show for me. And also Kim Yo Han, whose character at first lacked any emotion but gradually joined So Ju Yeon in being overly cute!
Giving a show a 9 mostly because It was way too cute, might seem silly. But I stand fully behind this and hope to see more of So Ju Yeon's cuteness in the future.

First of all, I'd like to make it clear that I enjoyed watching this k-drama, but that doesn't mean that I enjoyed everything about it, obviously. Even though I think this drama was good, It does not show us anything new, mostly because it's surrounded by all these clichés.Secondly, I gotta say that as someone who has seen the Chinese/original version of this drama, I did prefer that version instead of the Korean version for several reasons, but still, this drama was really good, and it was still adorable.
One of the reasons (and probably the main reason) that makes me prefer the original version is that the Korean version removed a lot of details from the story which is also something noticeable just by seeing the duration of each episode (about 25 mins). In addition to this, I noticed that there's a difference in the "personality" of the male lead of each version. In the original version, the male lead is actually really cold and you can tell that, but in the Korean version, Heon didn't come across as a cold person, but more of a sweetheart and nice person who was kina of an introvert or something like that.
In spite of this, this is still worth watching especially if you're into the cute, lovely, sweet types of dramas.
When you watch this drama tell me what you think, I'd love to know other people's opinions about this drama. And, also, if you also watched the original version, please tell me which one is your fave!

Short, simple and to the point
I did not hate this drama, I didn’t exactly like it either, it was fine for what it was, and while not surpassing the original it still has its merits. As a fan of the original I have no gripes with it, well I do have some criticisms that also apply to the original but ill reserve those for my review of the original. So first lets go into the things I liked; the length, I like how its short and to the point, it doesn’t drags on and it’s easy to watch, I liked the main leads, I really enjoyed the two side characters they added, they’re really fun to watch and have a lot of fun scenes, the songs where very nice, I really liked them.
Now for the things I didn’t like, it was too short, while this is a good thing so the drama doesn’t feel dragged out like in the original, it made it feel rushed in a lot of things, many things didn’t have as much of an in impact, it also lost a lot of the charm and awkwardness of high school that the original had, the side characters weren’t as good, mainly the two best friends, they had so much charm and personality in the original but they just don’t have it in this remake, the struggles of being at the verge of entering adulthood and having to go through high school and dealing with teachers and parents that is perfectly encapsulated in the original just isn’t here.
Over all I actually quite enjoyed it despite all its short comings, it really could’ve benefited from a longer run time, but I actually like how short it is it, maybe they could’ve made it 30 min eps instead of 20 min eps, if you haven’t watched the original I can’t say you’ll enjoy it because I don’t know how it stands on its own, and if you’re a fan of the original you might not like this adaptation because all the changes made to it, but I liked it and recommend it if you want to watch something short, simple and to the point.

Didn't think I would like this so much !
When I saw that A love so beautiful was gonna be adaptated in korean I was really happy as I liked the chinese version and its story. When I saw the teaser though...I was not that excited, I felt like it was a basic web drama like we have a lot !Since netflix decided it to put it on its platform and the episodes were just 20min, I decided to give it a go, just to have a real opinion, and I am glad I did.
I will try my best to not review it by comparing it to the chinese one, because it would be unfair in my opinion as I really enjoyed both of them for different reasons. Obviously there are some things that need to be said, and when watching, you cannot help but compare.
The main point is that the 2 dramas are quite different IMO, expect for the story and its character of course, but the whole mood is really really different. I felt that this version was a lot more fluffy, cute and funny. The chinese one was more serious and "mature". Also, the male lead was much more likeable in this one, less stoic and showing much more interest for the girl, which bothered me in the chinese one.
I think the actors did a great job portraying their character. I don't know Kim Yohan (yes I am what we call an old Kpop fan and don't really follow all those new groups) but he was quite good in his role and I didn't feel cringey with his acting. As for Ju Yeon, I knew her from Dr Romantic 2 where I really liked her. I wasn't really convinced at first as she doesn't really look like a High schooler but as the story follow them until adulthood, it didn't borther me more than that. Them together were really cute and I felt their chemistry.
I enjoyed watching the rest of the friends and got attached to every single one of them, I really felt like they were a bunch of friend enjoying their youth. Ji hwan made me laugh so much and every girl should have a boyfirend as caring as him !
The story followed the original one so I knew what was coming next. They cut some parts as this drama is shorter but they still manage to give us the main stories. It did feel rushed sometimes and for someone who doesn't know anything about the story, some reactions may seem weird but I liked that they went straight to the point with no useless scenes. The episodes went really fast and managed to keep me engaged until the end. I will not talk about what their didn't do well as it will give spoiler but let's just say the chinese version took more time to explain more deeply the characters choices and mindset.
I really liked the OST, it was cute. My only downside is the last episde, I wish they would give dae sung some air time to end his story well, as he was a big part of this drama.
Overall a really cute drama. Definitly not something that I will remember for years but I spent a really good time watching it and had a smile on my face every episodes. I would recommend it for people who just want a cute story, with no superfluous stories and attaching characters.

Predictable, Silly, But Cute Series!
If you're looking for something fun and light, you really can't go wrong with "A Love So Beautiful." Frankly, there have been better shows involving a girl who falls in love with a boy where the girl (for some reason) isn't very bright compared to the object of her affection. "Good Morning Call" and "Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo" are better series. This is a story that has been done a number of times, although the twist toward the end finally gives it some brand of uniqueness despite knowing how it's going to end. Not all shows that are predictable are necessarily bad.
Shin Sol-Yi is a young, passionate girl, who's quite naive and also very immature for her age. Unfortunately, this doesn't really change as she gets older. She starts out as a 17-year-old girl, acting like she's 10. She ends as a twenty-something woman acting like a 12-year-old. She whines and pouts, and too often this becomes a little annoying.
I've lived and worked in China, Korea, and Taiwan. And I've told people: take the girl's age and subtract ten years to get her true maturity. It rarely fails.
Cha-Heon is the object of Sol-Yi's affection. He's the top student, but he's a bit cold and aloof when it comes to Sol-Yil and her more than obvious interest in him.
The performances are pretty good. Yo-Han Kim (Cha-Heon) is a bit wooden in his role. So Ju-Yeon (Shin Sol-Yi) has the cutest dimples in the world and a million-dollar smile to boot. I only wished that she'd been able to bring more depth and dimension to her character as well as giving her character a bit more maturityj to make her more appealing and less annoying.
The kissing scenes in this show are some of the worst I've ever seen. Wooden, tight-lipped with absolutely no feeling or authenticity at all. It was quite obvious that the actors and actresses did NOT like doing them.
Still, this is a fun series to watch. It's nothing too special, but it's a solid feel-good story that will likely put a smile on your face.
