WHO WROTE THIS DRAMA (smh ... sigh)
From the beginning... this drama line... OMG... went from immature silly to ridiculous to *Who In The Hell Wrote this Drama*.You have Amazing Casts... especially with a top hitter actor Xing Zhao Lin.
Yet in my personal opinion the drama couldn't be saved ... even if they pulled in 10 star casts.
This drama gave little to be desired and by the Last five eps .. my question is *WTH.. Who wrote this?* (sarcastically that is)
Well... 1350 of my viewing hours into the garbage. I took a gamble to watch this...
Personal rating ... 2/10 (that's stretching it)
Unfortunately I personally will not recommend it..
HOWEVER, that doesn't mean that it's not your type of drama. You may like it, love it or regret watching it. The decision is yours.

Full of nonsense
I looked forward to watching this drama, however, it ended up being nonsense. If you are looking for a drama that made you 'feel good' by watching it, this might not be suitable for you.
You'll end up getting angry with the character that was built through the storyline.
The ML character that was supposed to be charismatic, handsome, and talented programmer seemed to be very childish and rude. The FL character that was supposed to be a smart female programmer ended up being foolish due to love.
In conclusion, it's okay to watch if you want to, but it's not a good show in my opinion.

Should've read reviews first.
I really should have read some reviews first. The story is infuriating. The ML is a massive P.O.S. and between him and his friend he's the uglier one, if you're gonna simp at least simp for the 8 not the 6.The FL is worse though. I'm 17 episodes in an I was really expecting at some point she would leave him and make him re-evaluate how much of a P.O.S. he's been but with each episode he just keeps pissing me off more and more and she does....NOTHING. I dunno if I'll finish or not. Watch a better show ffs.

I love this kind of story interesting even it's a toxic one but there's no perfect relationship!
Yes a little bit annoying especially the ML that he don't know how to express his feelings toward the FL but if you watch the whole story and focus on it it is a good story at all. From the very day it's start airing I really love it and I can't wait to watch the whole episode There is a scene that irritates you especially Li Man a very scheming ex girlfriend that but I really love their great acting skills especially Bambi Zhu(Xu Zhudan) she's really beautiful and I feel the pain what she suffers I highly recommemd it to everyone that you should watch it. It's worth it from the story itself you can tell that it's almost same story as You are My Destiny but it's different. If your not a fan of Chinese dramas or whatsoever don't watch it we don't need a nonsense opinion towards this drama.By the way I still love it and I always stick to this drama. Was this review helpful to you?
Very Very Very Melodramatic.
Like in the whole drama i think if we collect all the scenes in which the male and female lead were happy it will just account to 4 or 5 episodes thats it.half the time the ML and FL were either in a misunderstanding or fighting (lol that's the same thing i guess?)
The ending was pretty cute though.
i feel like it would have been really better if the drama was not that melodramatic. And i feel like the FL is very very selfless. If not for the ending i feel like i would have hated this drama.
The casting was pretty cool though. they acted really well. Especially wang yi ming. he is so freaking cute. it would have been so nice if had a love life and more scenes. looking forward to more of his dramas.
i really like how supporting the parents are and i feel like this is one of those dramas which actually depicts realistic parents.
though everything was pretty nice i dont like the story line. just too much disappointment from both sides. i wished for more happy scenes and at a point i got fed up f the drama. i just completed because i had to. the only thing that touched my heart is the ending.
if you ask me whether i'll suggest this drama to someone then no i will not

Clichéd brainfart
Nothing new about this story. It seems very very unrealistic just as any other ceo-employee love stories. What ceo is this hot lmao! Hated the FL's outfits, she ain't a kid ,even 12 year olds don't dress like her. Typical plotline and it DID NOT require 30 eps. This story is easily 16 eps worth. Acting isn't great. Also there was a scene where the male employees were peaking at female employee while they were in their swim suits. Surprisingly, they were never punished(as in severe action taken against them) for such a behaviour. The only thing that was slightly interesting is the love story between the second male and female leads, they deserved to have more screen time since it was painful to watch the lead couple barely move their facial muscle.
She is recruited to be a programmer for a team that is barely shown properly programming or brainstorming and just added some "technical" sounding words to justify the title. I cringed whenever these half-assed so-called technical jargon were thrown around. Also ceo has got a LOT of time to mess with her, what ceo even meets employees like everyday?
How come she was never charged for impersonation? Or something along the lines of fooling a huge company by pretending to be someone else? That's weird. The FL got no spine to talk back when it's needed. If she actually did, they are weak comebacks that makes you want to punch someones face. Gurrlll think smart for once!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Immature FL & ML relationship due to inability to communicate ANYTHING!
The description of this drama sounded interesting. In my head it was going to be a mix of bromance mixed with love o20. I will say it was somehow an easy watch despite it being so frustrating. The plot line was exhausting and repetitive, but for some reason I kept watching it. The whole show can be summed up with the FL and the ML both having awful communication and a general immaturity with no ability to think from the others perspective. It was so ingrained in the plot that really I walked away from this show asking myself what the point of it was. Most of the problems between the main couple came from one assuming that one knew something even if they didn’t say it, and somehow expecting there to be trust. A lot of people seemed to think the ML was the worst of the two in this show, and granted he was very childish and made incredibly naive albeit innocent decisions. But considering how the marriage was forced on him, and her never telling him….anything…even when he tried to communicate, I actually found myself understanding his actions better than hers, and by the end her stubbornness was driving me bonkers. ML had character growth while FL’s dwindled. This show was one of the first times I felt no satisfaction in the final couple. On the upside, I did enjoy the side characters, particularly FL’s best friend and her coworkers. I even liked ML’s sisters character, which some might find annoying as she was rather aggressive and….loud, with the pursuit of her love interest. But she was at least earnest enough that I found her commitment and conviction to him endearing.

I don't understand why she still wants to be with the main male character who is a jerk, childish, selfish, has no brain, doesn't want to give in and many more after knowing the fact that he only wants to get married because of his parents' pressure and threats and other mistakes.
As a man, I am already very disgusted with the character and behavior of this man, maybe the female audience will be forgiven and excused because of his handsomeness lol.

Another happy ending story!
Probably annoying for others. The half of the story sounds like the 'You Are My Destiny' ... denials, acceptance then chasing! The female lead (wife) got pregnant too .. got an accident ... but in this drama ... at least there was no miscarriage and I am ok with that .. no stress! The male lead (husband) persevered in winning back the love of his wife ... sounds corny but I love it!
i love happy ending story and i watched to entertained myself....
i love it! and I love Xing Zhaolin and Zhu Xudan

Illogical, tropey, toxic relationship. Say no more.
It is no secret that the rom-com genre is trope heavy but some shows make it work. This show did the opposite and it is hard to enjoy because of its many issues.Let's start at the beginning. It was a slog to get through the first 5 episodes. The whole meet-cute was stretched to breaking point with the FL disguised as a man to get her dream job. They tried to milk the setup for laughs with all the cliché twists like going to the wrong toilet, picking a fight with a caveman, having her period while in the middle of the office, etc, etc. They are so obvious that it is just a cringe fest. Then we have to deal with the biggest plot issue. I'm sure an edict of not hiring any female programmer is straight up discrimination. I don't know about Chinese laws but I'm sure it can't be legal if it is a stated condition of employment. That whole set up just does not hold water but the writer pushed through with it and logic be damned. This led to many plot holes that are just painted over or ignored.
It did get a bit better once she came out as a girl in ep.6 and thank god for that because she was totally unconvincing as a guy. If you want to be generous, she might pass as a tomboy but most of the time she just looks like a girl with a short haircut and speaking of the short haircut, they tried to say that a short hair wig can hide a full head of shoulder length hair. Not likely. Once she is a girl again, a hit parade of tropes were dumped on us such as contract marriage, co-habitation, hiding their relationship from the world, etc.
As I mentioned in other reviews, it is important for us to want to ship the CP in a rom-com but the further the show progressed, the harder I find any motivation to ship them. A lot has to do with the portrayal of the main characters. The ML is a man-child who has low EQ but he is also selfish, rude and manipulative. The main CP's relationship is abusive if not downright toxic. He goes through cycles of being angry/jealous -> taking it out on the FL -> feeling guilty afterwards -> ham-fisted attempt to atone -> a) succeeds and we get a few moments of CP bliss or b) fails (which is often) he gets angry and take it out on the FL again. This is a destructive spiral and it wears mighty thin when it went on and on. BTW, the 2ML is a constant source of his jealousy but the 2ML is so beige that there is little chance of second lead syndrome.
The FL, on the other hand, is a top university graduate but has this crush on the ML for years and she will do anything to be with him and worshipped the ground he walked on. She ended up being his wife/slave/victim. Any crumbs of attention or affection from the ML will have her doing a delusional happy dance but she suffered so much more. This is an odd portrayal in this day and age. She also refused to let him see her face in the beginning of the show until she started dressing as a man. Why? Who knows.
Speaking of manipulative people, the show is full of them. The ML's mom is a classic schemer, the ML's father is a one trick pony which always gets his way with the ML by threatening to cut off his funds. His sister is a woman-child who manipulates everyone. Of course, no tropey rom-com is complete without the scheming ex-GF. We are in for a rough ride once she entered the scene on ep.11. This is why we need the CP to become a team so that they can push back against the antagonists and we can get behind them. What we have instead is ML being childish and annoying, their relationship precarious and unhealthy. I want to say to the FL, "give up, girlfriend."
And gave up, I did. The returns are few and far between. The dodgy paint by numbers script didn't help. It is not terrible but it didn't hook me. In a sea of tropey rom-coms, I needed something more to make me commit my time. I watched 12 episodes for free on WeTV. Maybe when all episodes are free-to-watch I'll speed run through to the end. I have no doubt that they will engineer a happy ending but it would be a looong march to get there.

Stupid, childish and irritating
It’s the type of drama that gives you lots of ANGST!! Lol... that’s why I never bothered watching You are my Destiny, although it had such good ratings. This has the same storyline and concept. ML CEO is the bullying and belittling type, actually likes the FL but don’t know how to admit nor express his feelings. Ex- girlfriend comes along and stirs up trouble etc, the leads separate and then in the end come back together. The actress who plays the ex Li Man is the same actress that plays another bitchy character in Perfect and Casual. Seriously she should do other roles, cos she doesn’t want to be stuck with this kind of stigma roles!
Disappointed with this one. Wouldn’t recommend this.

A drama filled with cliches - but in the worst way possible
I would have just said Cold ML and Bubbly FL, but unfortunately, this drama is not it. This is a story about a cold/unfeeling/strong-headed ML and a pushover/no self-esteem/stalker-y FL. I watch a lot of romcoms and enjoy tropes in moderation with at least a slightly believable/ ethical plotline. BEWARE: This one is not the rom-com to watch if you like a cute/fluffy romance that is a feel-good timepass. The story is absolutely messed up - without spoiling, but if the ML were to do the same things that the FL was doing - It would really raise some eyebrows and questions. Not even going into how the ML is forced into marriage via forced drinking/ emotional blackmail etc. The FL taking advantage of certain relationships gets married to him - mind you, she has had a 'crush' on him for years now. I say 'crush' because it is not one - it is her being a stalker and taking advantage of situations. They use various tropes and each as useless as the last one -
Crossdressing - There is no way that was a believable male get up, with makeup and liner. This was not executed to half ots extent and ends up just frustrating the audiences. How stupid do you think the people watching this are?
Contract Marriage - The ML is forced in quite some unethical ways by his family. The FL family makes sense and tries to her out of it.
Long term 'crush' - At the rate at which she is acting, it's surprising no one has labelled her a stalker/ creep. With zero sense of self, she is ready to do whatever it takes to be with this guy - Who very clearly states he doesn't want to be with her.
Living in - The ML is clearly uncomfortable with her ther and the next scene you see how happy she is that she gets to live with the ML. ML doesn't like the idea of marriage and she continuosly pushes it.
A doormat is too kind a word for the FL who clearly needs therapy and a restraining order.
Currently watching ep 10. I can't stop without completing any series and am watching this at 2x. It's still unbearable. Will keep the review updated.
