Both have rich boy- poor girl relationships. Lots of misunderstandings too. The only different thing is that in HYD the story gets more time in school. The violence in HYD is more like bullying.
both story deals with a con-artist from prison that got a parole and a man who tried to propose to his gf. Their accidental meeting led them to a small town where feelings were developed. My Lucky Star is a drama while the other is a movie. both are cute in a sense of romance, and hilarious with a mix of drama. highly recommend
