Land of the Strangers (2017)

Jeong Cheol was put in jail for murdering instead of his friend Na Seong 15 years ago, and he is temporarily set free as a model prisoner when his mother passes away. When he goes back to home town devastated with nuclear accident, he is enraged by the fact that Na Seong and his father didn’t keep the promise to take care of his family. For his brother and sister, who want to leave the nuclear disaster town he makes a dangerous decision once again. Land of the Strangers depicts the pandemonium of people and their community with dim hope in the near future as a dystopia. While incidents arise one after another, characters on a declining path of life are forced to face tragedies.
