JKH is love his acting his facial expressions his everything he never disappoints. the lead female can be somehow( veryyyyyy) very annoying but not to the extent of affecting the drama, if u like her you can ignore her annoying parts.
the story is wonderful and extremely well written, it has many plot twists that will keep you off your seat, it opens your eyes on many facts as it makes you fall for the so called "bad people" (for whom i always fall anyway lol) , there isn't a single boring moment , there was one" unrealistic" scene but you can simply ignore it, the ending is even more thrilling, i don't know how to describe this piece of art, it is just DAEBAK , worth watching and re-watching a million times.

Overall, if you are still hesitating pleaseeeeeee do not , there is no regret here. and thank me later.

~Doctor's Son~
To be honest, I rated it with 5/10 and thought about dropping it after I've seen first two episodes. The story was confusing and it didn't entertain me as much as I wished for. But because I fell in love with the actor Jung Kyung Ho and his character Doctor's Son, I just couldn't stop. And I'm truly happy, that I didn't. You don't even know, how much I would blame myself, this drama is a total masterpiece!
The friendship between Soo and Doc was so warm and loyal. My broken heart wishes to have a friendship like these two boys. Although firstly I didn't like Jin Sook and I quite suspected her, she turned out to be next great person. And the person, that I didn't even suspect, turned out to be the main villain. The screenwriter deserves an award for this.
The end disappointed me, so I'm unsure about my rating. I'd love to give it 10/10, but my disappointment from the ending can't be erased. Even though I was sure about how it'll end, I just wished for Doctor's Son to finally live happily...
Cruel City learnt me a new quote, found me new husband, filled my playlist with next amazing soundtracks and made my eyes blurred. The word "cruel" isn't there just for a joke. Everything is truly heartless. From story to their lives.

The cast of characters is vast where it is sometimes difficult to keep track of all of them and their ever changing allegiances. This can sometimes make things confusing. I'm curious to how much is remedied by a second run though.
The music and score for Cruel City are remarkable and poignant. The ten track OST is phenomenal. This album flows amazingly well from one track to the next. While Wound, Butterfly and Everyday stand out as beautiful lyrical tracks, the instrumental pieces are surprisingly evocative and striking as individual tracks. My favorites are Memories of the Past, The Man, Undercover and The Night. Undercover reminds me so much of Time from Hans Zimmer's Inception.
Cruel City is an amazing creation where everything: the setting, the cinematography, the vibe, the tone and the score feed into the dark and surprisingly beautiful kill or be killed world. The characters are complex and have truly dynamic story arcs. The story telling is tight and well woven. Though the drama is dark and sometimes jarring, I think the story and cast of characters set it well above the rest. I can certainly understand why it is so highly revered as a beautiful, poetic and tragic story.

Thank God I give it a try. coz it's totally worth it... so try it guys... You will miss a very very good show.. Applause to the writer and director as well as DOCTORS SON!!! I hope you got more projects this 2016...

This show is definitely a must watch. The story is unique and interesting, exacting until the end.Main lead awesome acting.
I rated it nine because of the main actress not good enough acting in my opinion, also there was a little bit too much ...no it would be a spoiler if I say... overall, excellent.

Although the story is not quiet original, this has captivated me and at the same time so intriguing you would not like to stop watching each episodes! Andeach episodes gives you a new turn of events and twists that are all intriguing and intertwined as well! All characters are brilliantly created and screenwriting are genius!
Although to me 20 episodes is quiet long to make up the whole story, and that a midstream lag is unnecessary, however the result is still one of the best drama i have ever watched!

I watched five nominate for foreign language film at 86th academy awards and this is better than all. I know this is not a movie, but if it was movie probably became the first Korean movie to get an Oscar. That’s why some don’t like it, because not everyone like Oscar-class movie. Just for example between Avatar and The Hurt Locker which one people likes more? Probably must choose Avatar not Oscar winner’s The Hurt Locker.
It has everything that a great show need. A Superior story meets great acting and outstanding production design. You can watch it again and think about background scenes over and over. Chair, table, windows and curtain all have special design and color for this show.
This is by far the best Korean show (movie and series) for me even after years.

To those who like drama with the genre of police/detective, this drama is a MUST!!! To those who don't really like those genre (like me), you can give it a try! I am sure you will have the same feeling as me (MIND-BLOWN!!)

hesitated alot before watching it... but no regrets at alllll....
i knew that jung shi hyun will die in the end... but still felt like my heart will stop because of it...
i read some places that no, the last scene of the drama was his back speaking on the phone.. actually i didn't felt it as a continuing scene... so pleassseeeee if there is really a season 2 don't make us wait alot..
good job to all the actors and thanks alot...

The acting is really good, the story isn't boring even a single minute.. It always takes a new turn when you didn't expect it.
The music is driving you into the armosphere of this world.
The relationships between are really interesting, sometimes ambiguous.
I just finished to watch it for the second time, and as the first time, it made me cry a lot.
But, most of the time, stories that make you cry are the most beautiful, and this one really is.
I hope you'll watch it, if you didn't already, and that you'll enjoy !

Thriller genre beginner can go for it? OVERRATED!! for regular watch.
Overly dramatic
Poorly written one.
Characters felt unlogically witty as if writer told them what's gonna happened next in the drama.
Main Villen was quite obvious from the moment I first saw him.
