not a bad way to spend a lazy wknd.
I gave my review this title because the show isn't horrible or anything but it could really be cut down to 8 episodes instead of 12. The actors are beautiful did a good job, and Aarons' body is a work of art. But it does have a lot of filler toward the end. I recommend this series if you into BL but are tired of them always being set in college. It's also the first time Aaron has acted since his accident and I wanted to support him. I liked the fact that there are no stupid misunderstandings keeping the couples apart and all of the female characters, even the more annoying ones, are pretty supportive of all the relationships. Check it out if you are having a lazy wknd and feel free to look on reddit for the episodes that can be skipped. Was this review helpful to you?
Absolute comfort show
To start, I love this show, it's become such a comfort watch for me, so what I say in this review, I say with love.Don't go into this expecting a "good" show. The acting, other than the main couple, is pretty bad. The story makes no sense and it's really just a bunch of tropes with light-hearted music playing in the background. HOWEVER, the main couple are very cute together (sickeningly so) and the show is just sweet and funny nothing particularly bad ever happens which just make this show so easy to watch. I can just turn my brain off for 20 mins and enjoy the rose-tinted world that is Be Loved in House.
Make sure to go in with the right expectations, this is not a show to be taken seriously, just enjoyed.

Strong beginning and lukewarm end
It has a strong beginning. Solid chemistry between the leads with good rapport. Good soundtrack, great acting. Simple but unique character backgrounds.I was really enjoying watching them build trust between each other.
Shi Lei’s coming out scene is actually one of the better one’s I’ve seen in BL. The acting was fantastic and emotionally impactful. Major props to the actor for pulling that scene off.
Sigh, I really enjoyed the first half of this and everything kind of went to shit when the ex returned. I don’t mind drama but I hate when the drama is all around miscommunication and indecisiveness. Stop wasting your time and mine.
And the ex’s motivations don’t make any sense. Like, you wanted to help him move on. Then give him closure like a normal person. Say you’re sorry you hurt him and that you hope he’s happy with his new partner. That’s literally the mature thing to do rather than playing weird games. What’s wrong with you dude? Sociopath behavior.
The ending also feels somewhat abrupt after all that angst, which felt unsatisfying.
Anyway, I’m honestly not sure if I can recommend this since it left me in kind of a bad mood lol.

This Show Had Me Say "I Do"...But Not Until The End
So, this show was a rollercoaster. Another haters to lovers type of storyline. But it never really got toxic or volatile which is good. At first, with Aaron's character Jin I was getting serial killer vibes with those gloves lol. But obviously that's not the case because its revealed about his allergy. Which did make for some cute scenes, but I question if that storyline was even needed? Because we still had the accident plot, which hits really close to Aaron's actual horrible thing he went through. Poor baby. Past that though, let's address the elephant in the room. You could never actually ban relationships from a work space lol thats a lawsuit. I know its a show, but there's some surrealism with that. It also never really had any repercussions so whatever!Hank as Shi Lei was very sweet and adorable. At first I didn't know how to take his character, but he progressively grew on me. Though Jin was still a much more interesting character. I realized after a few eps that I had gotten really into this! Mostly because of Aaron but still! Him and Hank's chemistry did show itself quite well with what we had to work with. However, this is where some problems arose. This show is wayyyyyy too slow. Our poor main couple didn't honestly get the time they deserved overall, whereas our side couple was lit. They were so good! If we hadn't of had them this would've been a complete bust. I like watching their wholesome and sometimes...not so wholesome interactions lol.
Another thing was why are we introducing an "antagonist" so late? Like really!? The ex arch could've came in eps before and had the plan with Shi Lei carry out. That could've added for more development. Although, that last episode was SNATCHED holy crap hello R rating lmao! I legit thought I was hallucinating for sure. They were definitely holding out on us until the very end. That's the chemistry I wanted to see and was clearly there! So sweet and butterflies for sure. Really solid ending and we get side couple engagement cuteness!
Finally, random things. The scene of Shi Lei talking to his mom about caring for Jin was precious. As well as, hello cameo I've been waiting for from our king Wayne! Cannot wait for season 2 of MODC!!! I would say watch this for mostly the side couple and then the last couple eps. There's so much filler that isn't needed. Also the soundtrack has gotten stuck in my head :P

good start but a bit anticlimactic
tbh i really really enjoyed the first few episodes but it got really repetitive and slow by the middle of it and the end was well yes happy ending and all but seriously it was so anti climactic that i was only half paying attention, especially the last few episodes. idk it felt like they realized halfway that it wouldn't be fun to just smooth it over so they added a problem that honestly had no damn reason to be in it at all. i get you were scarred from a previous relationship but the extra character did not need that much screen time. if you felt the need to have that problem there you should have made it a bigger problem. felt like a waste of time those last episodes.i cant really give it a bad review because i sincerely liked the actors even though the roles were weird and the story had a good base to it and it wasn't the typical bl storyline but and that's a big but, the rewatch value is solely based on the first few episodes that i actually looked forward to watching every week. the last 4 episodes or so i low key forgot to watch cause they just bored me.
one thin i have to say before i end this horrible review written in the middle of the night is that i really liked the soundtrack they chose to this, at times it was a bit odd when you actually listen to the lyrics but the vibe was there and the songs were quite pleasing.
if you are starting this series now i hope you enjoy it but don't get your expectations up to high cause i feel like that might have been my downfall.

Beautiful
I absolutely loved this show. From the enemies-to-lovers trope to the softness that they show once they're starting to fall in love, everything was perfect. (Yes, I also hated when the ex showed up, but I do think it was necessary for Jin YuZhen to get past his fear). It's definitely shorter than I wanted it to be (for comparison, the show this one is based on, Just You, has 21 episodes) and because of that some things were rushed a bit, but honestly that's the only complaint I have. This is a show that I will definitely rewatch over and over again. So beautiful. Was this review helpful to you?

all I can say is that... they saved the best for last ;)
It's a BL filled with several symbolic and sweet moments that's for sure.I would like to see their past more developed than it was, and the single rule overtook most past of the plot here.
There were some slow burn moments, and on some episodes given their misunderstandings and personal stubbornness it was a little bit frustrating, however, whenever they provided us with a cute moments or skinship it was enough to make us melt.
Yu Zhen and Shi Lei were the end game, although they struggled to be on the same page they really did delivered their all.
Meanwhile, Zhao Gang and Si Qi were faster to create a connection and realizing their own feelings, well Si Qi knew them all along, still he needed to tame his crush and make him realize that he had more reasons to settle down than to be a bachelor.
FINALLY a drama where the ML's ex isn't toxic as we thought he would be.
They had us fooled there for a minute or better yet a few scenes in episodes, but it was a quick PT that's for sure.
Yet it was all it took for Yu Zhen to acknowledge his true feelings all along, placing the past behind and chasing his future.
Both Aaron and Hank really showed the chemistry of their characters with each and every single episode, but the last one was definitely a fan favorite. The way they often stared at each other sometimes, and their little acts of affection towards each other, it truly embodied the theme of this story being related to the Little Prince. Cherishing and loving one another starts with little steps, they both learned through their journey what and who in fact was important, and how much they cared.
As a fan of the symbolic values of the Little Prince I was happy and surprised to see it integrated in the moral of this story, both with their inspiring characters but also in terms of the jewelry making and this one being called the B612. It was a nice touch.
JN Yu and Wei Po also revealed an amazing chemistry with their roles as the second lead ship.
This is definitely a series that makes you root for both, and enjoy both the main and second leads all in all.
It's a short and light episode series, although quite heartwarming.
The OST is cute as well as the thoughtful name of the whole series.
Because they were both loved in the house. Sharing one roof brought them closer.
And the part from the I Do which is the main theme song, worked out well in the end.
Definitely a must watch if you want to give this one a go. You won't regret it if you do.

You're Gonna Either Love It or Hate It
It's a slow burn romance that'll either have you enter a love-hate relationship with.STORY:
While in college Yu Zhen had is first and only lover suddenly leave him. Now, 7 years later he is still hurt and traumatized by the incident. Yu Zhen eventually takes over Jingcherng Metalwork and Desgin after it nearly goes bankrupt. He doesn't make much changes, only implementing one rule prohibiting any employees from being in relationships or being married. This rule doesn't sit well with all the employees including Shin Lei. Shin Lei and Yu Zhen constantly butt heads over this rule at the studio and also butt heads over new rules Yu Zhen had put in the employee share house. Fed up with Yu Zhen's domineering attitude Shin Lei and the other employees come up with the idea for Shin Lei to snoop around Yu Zhen to figure out his weakness.
This story will drive you insane! It is a slow burn romance, so there is a lot of will they, won't they in the series. Not only that, but Yu Zhen is a totally different person at home and in the studio that you'll wonder if he's really the same person. There were times I hated Yu Zhen, especially in the beginning since he came off as so arrogant, but like Shin Lei, we slowly get to learn that Yu Zhen isn't an ass like he makes himself out to be. However the pacing is insanely slow. Fortunately I watched it all in one go, but if I had to wait week by week to watch this, I would be burnt out and probably have dropped the series. It's literally a slow burn.
The ending was also strange, it wasn't terrible, but it was awkward. They set up an interesting plot by bringing in Yu Zhen's Ex, but his Ex brings nothing to the story. He literally makes the ending awkward. His Ex is only there for the last 3 episodes or so, but the last 3 episodes were the weakest. Instead of trying to set him up as some competition for Shin Lei, then make him start hitting on Shin Lei to make competition for Yu Zhen, only for them to say "Surprise! It was all a prank to see if you loved Shin Lei!" They should have either literally kept him as trying to win Yu Zhen's heart back or just not included him completely. I'm pretty sure most of us would have been satisfied with Shin Lei confessing his feelings for Yu Zhen, then watching Yu Zhen figuring out if he wanted to date Shin Lei or not. Yes it would have been less episodes, but we wouldn't mind. Bringing in the Ex made it messy and confusing. Other than that it was good.
Yu Zhen & Shin Lei
They were a nice couple and had really good chemistry together. It wasn't mind-blowing chemistry like Gao Shi De and Zhou Shu Yi from We Best Love, but Yu Zhen and Shin Lei had something. Their scenes looked very realistic. You could see them slowly learning to understand and care for each other. As each episode passed there was less fighting and more compassion. By the time we get towards the end of the series we're practically begging for them to get together. I really liked how Shin Lei was able to break down all the wall that Yu Zhen built without overstepping his boundaries. There was a lot of mutual respect between them. I hope they will last for eternity.
Yu Zhen & Shin Lei & Shin Lei's Mom
Shin Lei's mom is such a treasure. I wish all parents were like her. Not only did she accept Shin Lei coming out of the closet, she took care of Yu Zhen as her own son. She also has a fantastic relationship with Shin Lei, where they have their disagreements, but they can sweep it under the rug and laugh about it after. He can talk to her about anything and not feel judged for it. I think all mom's should be like Shin Lei's mom. Bonus points since she's also hilarious on top of being caring.
Yu Zhen & His Ex
I already wrote a lot about his Ex, but I want to add a little more. I hate how they tried to make his Ex a good guy although they set him up as a bad guy in the beginning. They should have just stuck with him being the antagonist. I also was really uncomfortable with all the scenes showing him being all touchy-feely with Yu Zhen and Shin Lei. I guess I can give a pass to the Shin Lei scenes since it makes Yu Zhen uncomfortable, but I hated when they showed flashbacks from the past or those dreams with Shin Lei and Yu Zhen making out with his Ex. I understand that Yu Zhen has a past with this guy, but I really don't need to see it. It just made me uncomfortable. I swear Yu Zhen had more kiss and make out scenes with his Ex than with Shin Lei when the series is supposed to be about Yu Zhen and Shin Lei, not his Ex.
Zhao Gang & Si Qi
They were a breath of fresh air since it was good to see them get together so quickly while Yu Zhen and Shin Lei took ages to get together. That being said, I did feel like their storyline was a bit out of place. Being a foil to Yu Zhen and Shin Lei is fine, there is no complaints, bur I did find that Gang having commitment issues was out of character since he was supposed to be the big brother that you can talk to that knows all the answers. It was strange to see that he was giving advice on relationships, but wasn't able to execute them. One top of that not only did it get solved way too quickly, the answer to commitment issues was for Si Qi to propose and Gang to accept the proposal signifying he's over his commitment issues. I just don't believe that, nor do I see it being the answer. They were also dating for less than a year, maybe even less than six months at that point, so their ending was strange too. Cute couple otherwise.
Xiao Qian & Wang Jing
They were a strange pair. I couldn't tell if they were dating before Wang Jing proposed or what their exact relationship was even throughout the series. Even their ending is strange since we don't know if they got married or if they didn't. There was no conclusion to their storyline. Other than that I found them to be funny. They weren't overbearing or annoying, they were just funny. I like this couple. Yes, they are an odd couple, but they work for the story.
OVERALL:
This is a nice story to watch. Yes it's a slow burn, but it was good. The last 3 episodes were messy compared to the others, but it was good to watch. I highly recommend it if you like slow burn romances.

Be Loved in House: I Do... want the plot to progress faster
(minor spoilers)Content Warnings: none that I can think of...
Episode 12 bumped up my score to 7.5/10 overall. If you want super slow pacing and breathtaking visuals, then this is the show for you. Otherwise watch the 1st two episodes, imagine in your mind every single romance/bl trope multiple times (accidental falls, getting out of the shower, healing time, etc) then skip to ep 11 to watch most of those happen in flashbacks and then episode 12 for the ending.
What I Liked
- amazing visuals
- acting
- the cat
- production
- the cameo
- the love triangle (I think the only 1 I've ever liked)
- the coworker/friend stopping the other coworker/friend from taking a picture of an intimate moment without the participants' knowledge
- the 12th episode
- the intro song*
Room For Improvement
The pace is sooooooooo slow. I watched it on 1.5-2x speed and it still felt slow. There is so little progression with either couple. I can like a slow burn done well, but this was not it. There is also little sense of time. Is this taking place over days, weeks, months? Why does the 2nd couple go soooo slow and then rocket ahead???
The plot - I'm used to plot holes and non logical things but this drives me nuts. So basically the new boss (Jin Yu Zhen) puts up a rule that no employees can be in a romantic relationship with anyone (even outside the office, is that even legal??) A m/f are about to get engaged so they want him to get rid of the rule. Logical response by the other employee/manager (Shi Lei) should be to get the boss to fall in love with him and then he has to remove the rule, right? Nope, I honestly can't even say what their plan was. Get more intel on the boss???
Boss - is attracted to Shi Lei. Logical thing, don't put up that rule and instead try to win him over. Actual response - move in with him, make some moves, then reverse your moves over and over again. Basically a ton of mixed signals. Also disappear off to places with no follow up explanations. Things are kind of explained in the last episode, but it still didn't do it for me.
Poor characterization of the boss - he started out super cold, then he went to really awkward/nervous, then he went to a pursuer, whaaaatt, I got whiplash.
Music - there is legit one and only song that plays over and over again. It's a nice song but it's like "This Is The Song That Never Ends..." song.

Cute~
BASICALLY: 9.5/10Cute little story about enemies to lovers in the workplace~ By some fate, the two male leads end up living together (of course), and, through that, they see different sides to each other. It does have a few cliche themes, and several plotholes, but there's nothing toxic about the plot, and the actors are good at what they do (all of them), and ALL OF THE SIDE CHARACTERS AND COUPLES ARE SO CUTE OMG. So, yeah. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a bit of a slow burn (it's only 12 episodes, so it's not a SNAIL BURN, but it's not immediate either, which I can vibe with) adult romance, free of engineer students or high schooler lol
STORY: 9.5/10
As stated above, I think the overall story is cute and endearing. Both leads have something about them just make you love them, even when the boss is being overbearing and acting like a heartbroken tyrant at the beginning~ His rules are both ridiculous and practical, which is honestly what makes them infuriating (like, I can't argue with your logic, but WHERE'S YOUR HEART, ASSHOLE). The character development for both, though? 10/10. I deducted a bit because there's a point in the plot that I'm not fond of. It's nothing toxic, but it's just not my personal thing, so it didn't get the full 10 this time around~
ACTING: 10/10
There's a familiar face if you follow the HIStory BLs that Taiwan does~ The actor who plays Hiro (HIStory 1: My Hero's Aaron Lai) is in this, and I love him~ Aesthetically, he's gorgeous, but acting-wise, he's even better~ I love the way his eyes soften as he's falling, and the way he just melts and ugh. He's so good. Another star from the HIStory shows (HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count's Wayne Song) cameos in the last episode briefly, and that interaction ALSO made my day~ (Side Note: Go check out the HIStory shows! They're so good~ They're not related AT ALL, so each one can be enjoyed separately if one storyline interests you more than the others~ Moving on~)
MUSIC: 9/10
The music is good~ Nothing mind-blowing or out there, but the OST was nice nonetheless~ I thought the sound effects were good and nicely places, with the important moments enhanced by song choices, but I didn't save any songs this time around~
REWATCH: 10/10
Cute, 12-episode BL with adorable main leads and cute side couples? I'll rewatch this one until I HATE IT lol On a more serious note, it's definitely one I'll rewatch while cold this winter or in quarantine~
OVERALL: 9.5/10
It's nicely done~ There's not any real toxicity, the characters both have their rights and wrongs that they commit (never anything too horrid; just normal, I'm-still-growing-as-a-person-because-I'm-human-and-I-suck-sometimes problems that everyone has no matter how good they try to be), and the development for both of them is nice and realistic while still managing to make me scream in excitement and get yelled at 2am lol

2021 is the year of BL
No. China did have many with kiss scenes.. (and many more scenes ?) just need to dig. I got hooked more often and enjoyed emotional roller coaster with China BL. They have good plots, profound intensity, hillarious and sweetness. But do be warned some may made you swollen eyes & dying with sorrow.. the remedy is to read the novel or search for alternative happy endings Taiwan is really making some good production BL dramas with different stories.....I am lovin it! Keep em comin I say!in Special Video Release.. (novels usually have good endings). Was this review helpful to you?
