Who is Chairman Kang Sung-Geun’s son? SEASON 2 maybe...
I LOVED IT .... IT WAS WHAT I EXPECTED,but it is my first time after Vagabond that i still have a lot of questions.
Several truth were kept quiet, the most important one will hairman Kang Sung-Geun’s son return since we know the false culprit died being still a prisoner..... the final was precipitated, but I loved not having to wait too much to know what will it be at the end,. The actors and actresses amazed me with their acting, specially Kwak Dong Yeon (Jerry) after VINCENZO, MONSTRUOUS, he is rising and i am routing for him. No need to mentions the premium lead actors
Lee Jong Suk *** Im Yoon Ah*** DAEBAK ALWAYS!
Another one keep suprising me Yang Kyung Won (Gong Ji Hoon ) a role that's suit you woaahh !
I've been watching you since CLOY, VCZO, OOD.... AGAIN Im impressed!
Found a new gem to observe seen him in HAPPINESS Yoo Tae Joo KEEP climbing!
I give it a 100/100

Its not worth wasting your time😔

Great on the 1st half, meh on the 2nd half...
BIG MOUTH refers to Park Chang Ho, as he is known to talk big but can not follow it up. He’s also a lawyer with a very low winning rate. One day, he was framed as a notorious swindler "Big Mouse" and sent to prison. Since the real “Big Mouse” is still a mystery, his wife Mi Ho is now struggling to prove her husband's innocence…First, the premise is gripping as we quickly presented with the big question "Who is Big Mouse?“ It kept me wondering on who is Big Mouth and his motives. I enjoy seeing Chang Ho’s gruesome experience in prison and his dynamic with his wife, Mi Ho. I love the suspense and how they address a realistic political issue.
Then the reveal happened and it was so underwhelming... It feels that the drama lost its’ steam. We were introduced to so many plot points but it continues solely on hero vs villain plot, while sacrificing some characters at no cost. There’s a time jump towards the ending, and all that happened afterwards made me upset. The sequence of events were rushed and the huge blow I was expecting feel a bit off. Had they build up the finale properly, I’m sure it would’ve been more impactful.
This is my first Lee Jong Suk dramas and his psycho acting was entertaining. Apart from him, the acting of Kim Joo Heon was enjoyable, especially his fake crying and facial expressions. Overall, Big Mouth shows amazing performance and story until the reveal happened, so take my thoughts with a grain of salt and feel free to watch it!

Literally so good
I literally loved it so much. Like this is first thing I've seen of Yoona and Lee Jongsuk and it made me love them. Like I really liked this, I was a little upset with the ending bc of a certain death but I really liked it. It really interested me with finding out who big mouse is, I had many guesses that were all wrong (lmao) but that was even better because it was unpredictable. If your seeing this you really should watch the show it's so interesting, I was really sad when it was over. Changho and Mi Ho's relationship was so cute. And I loved the way Changho really made people believe it was him.Was this review helpful to you?

Strong overall script, rushed ending & the worst possible ML acting ever.
- Brilliant story and equally awesome storytelling (until last couple of episodes, where I think the creators were confused on how much to carry onto season 2, where the son that old antagonist would probably the main antagonist for s02). They also kept the main plot reveal mysterious enough to not get boring well throughout the first half of the season.
- Rushed ending almost ruined the whole series, almost seemed to be as if last 2 episodes were written and directed by someone else. Almost everything (in last 2 episodes) was predictable and cliche'd. Maybe they wanted 18 or 20 episodes to hash out everything.
- The worst and I mean the worst acting I have seen so far in kdramas by the main lead (Lee jong suk). I mean is he so popular in korea that he received such an awesome role despite his expressionless, stone-faced, always-looking-like-a-lost-one-in-the-room so-called acting skills? His dialogue delivery was so tame and lame that it looked like a little kid throwing mumbling tantrums in an intense scene (actually in all scenes). He definitely has a talent to bring down the intense or heavy scene the director must be trying to present. It must be so embarrassing and at the same time infuriating for the other cast members to be giving their all and yet the main lead is doing his worst possible in return. I have not seen many korean shows, but, of all the ones i have watched their are so many male leads who can easily pull off the necessary vibe needed in this role. It's like a rich kid showing up and reading lines after reading just a single time and everyone one probably cheering him as the best actor. I almost dropped this show after the pilot episode because of this main lead. if he's getting such brilliant roles, out qualifying other actors, then in my opinion he must have tons of connections/cash, or maybe casting team must be taking a break after casting pretty good rest of the cast and hence got high on god knows what and cast this guy as the main lead, or maybe the magic do exists in this world and this guy has it and casts it on the production team to get the role. Because, I honestly do not understand how else can someone who acts like this can land such a role.
This Lee jong suk broke me from korean shows with his worst acting skills (is it right to even call it a skill if you are so bad at it?), i am definitely going to take a break from kdramas.
Overall, this show is a must watch. Good thriller. I would have rated this one an overall 9, but, Lee jong suk's acting is a given negative 2 (if not 4). I feel for Kim Joo Heon & Yang Kyung Won, for they gave such good performances.

Disappointing comeback for Lee Jong Suk
Pretty disappointing considering that I like Lee Jong Suk and the director, but it was really like a Vincenzo wannabe, and I didn't like Vincenzo either. So many kdramas right now about vigilante heroes...Some specific things that I didn't like: 1) The sudden shift in personality when Chang Ho went to jail. They tried to pass it off as him acting, but he did it flawlessly. A normal person couldn't believably act as a mob boss, convincing real gangsters. 2) The wife got leukemia so quickly after just one exposure to the radiation. That didn't seem believable to me, but maybe I'm not very knowledgable about cancer. 3) The final episode was all over the place. I really wished I could double speed, but I was on Hulu. 4) How is Chang Ho going to be a good Big Mouse and still make money to support the organization? At least Bruce Wayne started out already rich.
Two things I did like: 1) Yang Kyung Won. Wow, he's a good actor! 2) Chang Ho finally getting revenge by buying the building where Choi Do Ha swims and filling up the pool with radioactive water. Honestly, I feel like the entire drama was written for that one scene.

Full of grandiose schemes that fell flat.
I was one of the people who got excited prior to the airing of BM but when I finally watched this, it was truly a disappointing experience to me. I did not enjoyed 80% of the drama. Because I don't want my precious data used to download full eps go to waste so instead of quitting early I had to force myself to finish this one like I did with Snowdrop, Jirisan.Going further, my review is full of spoilers so read at your own risk.
I don't feel the plot at all . They tried to do everything heroically but the execution just felt flat and cheap to me. That Big Mouse organization was only powerful in name but not in reality. Thanks to big mouths who overhyping this organization from the start, they made me expected more when I really should not. When the real BM was revealed , I was so disappointed . He had no charisma & no authoritative vibe as a person who supposed to be a leader of such organization.
Miho's death was cruel ,pointless and unnecessary. Can't they atleast wait until CDH got his punishment to kill off her character mercilessly like that? They claimed many got cancer as a side effect of that radiated waste water , most of them took some time before they died on their deathbed like that Tak guy but not with Miho. One day she just dropped and not too long & gone just like that. If they tried to show a lot of time has passed in prior to her death I don't buy it. She deserved better .
We never really see what they really do in that secret lab. What was that NF9 anyway? What was the end product and its use ? And that darn paper that started everything. I was rather surprised that other than Prof Seo no one else in Gucheon even bother to check water sample while this shit been happening for 30 years that made many lost their lives . Where were the victim's family members? I want to see few of them at least tried to oppose that 85 years old grandpa. Sure sure that grandpa was so powerful...
I don't get husband and wife vibe from the main leads. Their relationship was more like two close friends who were supportive of each other.
The ending also was kinda out of place and so sudden. You would think 16 episodes with 1 hour of each episode would have less chance of having a rush ending but you're dead wrong . They just need 10 minutes, just 10 minutes to explain the most important part of the story. Meh. If they want to pull the same vincenzo ending to the bad guy, why bother tried so hard to be the good guy from the start .They should do it earlier so that not many episodes wasted just to get the bad guy behind the jail and BM would end at 12 episodes which would be doing us a lot of favor and save our time maybe I would rate this even higher than a 6. I don't really mind realistic ending because in rl that ending would happen but I don't like the way they did it here.
In conclusion , BM for me was the most disappointing drama of this year. I don't recommend it unless you're a big fan of Lee Jong Suk or Yoona or Kwak Dong Yeon.

Who is Big Mouse?
Big Mouth is a crime/thriller/noir drama about Park Chang Ho, an average lawyer, who suddenly gets framed for being the infamous swindler Big Mouse (BM) – whose identity is unclear. As all evidence is pointing towards him, he is sent to prison, facing all the criminals BM betrayed. The Bad Part:
I hated the first episode. It's your typical introduction episode, introducing the characters and building up the story. I dislike such episodes since I find them incredibly boring. I prefer starting with a bang. So, I skipped a lot in this episode and was about to drop it, but something in the cliffhanger grabbed my attention, and I decided to at least give it a second chance – and watch ep 2 too, not expecting much.
The Fun Part:
The second episode changed everything. I got hooked immediately. The Main Lead, now in prison, decided to get himself killed as he saw no way out of his unfortunate situation. But instead of getting killed, his provoking attitude gained the respect of other inmates, lol. You can't believe how much and how hard I laughed in those few episodes. It was so much fun and I got hella excited. The story also started to get interesting.
The Interesting Part:
Soon everything calmed down and the drama got very intriguing. In order to survive among these criminals, ML started to pretend to be Big Mouse for real, climbing to the top. His whole character changed. While he was an average nice guy and loving husband before, he now had to be strong willed, violent, smart and badass – making a 180 degree turn. And I absolutely loved it. So, after all, this boring and average lawyer had a whole lot of courage inside him. Because that is what it takes to change your attitude from good to bad in front of everyone, and stand eye to eye with the prisoners.
There was a lot of stuff going on throughout the drama. To clear his name, ML also (with the help of his wife outside) tried to find out who the real Big Mouse is. While searching for the truth he came across lots of things, like fight for power, conspiracies, secret labs, crimes, two-faced people, and a whole damn network, etc etc. One clue was Seo's paper that lots of people were after. So what is written in there? Why was he framed, and by whom? Who is real and who is fake? What is even going on? WHO IS BIG MOUSE?
The guessing game about the real Big Mouse was so much fun. But the reveal was not as spectacular as I hoped. Mainly because lots of suspects got cleared one after another, not leaving THAT much options. But the road to the reveal was very entertaining. All the theories me and other watchers came up with… that was definitely worth the watch haha.
My Likes:
So, you probably noticed by now that I really loved the story and the guessing game. And I also loved how prison shaped ML to be a whole different (but sexy lol) person. I especially liked the background music, a lot. I also started to grow on most of the characters. Park Chang Ho, Ji Hoon, Warden Park and Jerry were my absolute favourite characters here! And the whole gang, ya know. While I first thought Lee Jong Suk would not be the best choice for this role, he surprised me with his acting big time.
The final resolve was a little bit easy and maybe a bit fast, but it was also kinda understandable. The actual ending was awesome tho!
My Dislikes:
I first disliked MLs wife, Miho, for being a pretty cliché character straight out of a romcom. I liked her role and character in general, but I just didn’t really love her personality – I found her rather bland and boring. Maybe it was the acting, or idk. I might have preferred a different actress. BUT after like… half of the drama, I started warming up to her. Though, sadly, I never felt their chemistry at all. Even though I never skipped her scenes, as they were important for the story, I was honestly a bit glad she didn't have too much screentime. That’s just my personal opinion tho.
___
All in all, the drama turned out to be very intriguing and kept my attention the whole time (leaving out ep 1 lol). It did not drag at all. One of my favorite dramas of 2022 for sure!

Not exactly what i signed for...
It seems lately i mostly disagree with the Public Opinion as i see and rate Dramas under a different prism! After all this is the beauty of diversity.
Popular or unpopular ,this is my opinion.Big Mouth is not the Super-Duper Hit everyone says it is.Not to me.Don't get me wrong. Is a good Drama. But nothing more than this.It has not the big wow factor i expected.I will be honest, i struggled a lot to push the next episode button especially in the first period of the Drama..I wasn't excited to see what will happen .I couldn't connect with the characters.I was bored with those flashbacks.I wouldn't care less about the couple's past and love story.I didn't care about their sweet and emotional moments.Fortunately those scenes weren't long enough so that is basically the reason i didn't drop or put it on hold,at least for a while.
In early episodes everything was just Meh!The most plain scenario, characters who just not fit to the shoes the writers put them in.I was extremely disappointed.
The main lead wrongly or not, accused and/or trapped and he ended in prison to be in a very short time the Big Boss around there. He suddenly became a Criminal Mastermind when in episode 1 he was introduced to us as not a very smart person. He took the Bar exams twice til he passed and " He is also an infamous lawyer with a very low rate of success " as synopsis says. And he wasn't a notorious murderer or a Big Mafia boss to earn the fear and respect of the other prisoners.
He was a conman,he was, hypothetically or not, scamming people, stole their money etc. With such a cute face and young at age i had hard time to believe he was ferocious and scary. How on earth evil criminals bought it and were shitting their pants at his sight? And seriously who would ever think that an "old dog" an "experienced" prisoner/cellmate could be a shield to him and take a stab instead? When he barely knew him? Even if he promised to grant him a favor still risking his life was too much to take.
Do i also have to ask another obvious question? On what ground he was walking around throwing promises and favors he could never fulfill? Because by that time we clearly saw he didn't have the background for all these.Neither the money nor the connections, etc etc. Iam sorry but all those stupid details really bothered me. Don't mention the excellent fight skills he just got out of the blue and he was kicking asses like a Pro.When he himself even said he never threw a punch in his entire life.I get the "survival instinct" but i mean come on!That was far fetched.Seriously i was surprised noone mentioned the obvious here.It was only me who was annoyed by all those unrealistic details?
I read many compared this with Insider!!No,no and NO!Please don't.No need to get into this fight!Lol!.To me Big Mouth is a distant relative of Insider.
Big Mouth is a bad imitation.Little something from Defendant (the warden Officer and the prison guard, cellmates bond)
Doctor Prisoner(with the accidents and the fake sick leaves)
Insider (with the Vips and their special ward)
The chain of events most of the time just not make any sense. And even if few things are explained in the next episode(s),still nothing seems plausible.
Writers give me something to chew on.I can't swallow nonsense so easily.Don't give me Dyspepsia.
What irritates me the most is the fact that the story is build on so many lousy details, you just can't ignore it!
I lost my interest about who the real Big Mouse was,too soon.Normally i would have spent hours during the whole show to solve the puzzle. Here i didn't even bother.I was watching episodes using the minimun brain cells.Too bad and too sad because the premises and the hype was high enough to draw my attention but....
The main idea inside writers' head was really good. But they lost their way somehow. In their try to create suspense they only create chaos. We have a saying in Greece the best English adoption is "storm in a teacup" That is the alternative title i could give to Big Mouth.
Half of the Drama was full of fillers. So many unnecessary scenes. As already mentioned, the flashbacks. Also many fighting scenes inside prison.Didn't really add to the plot.Seriously it could be 8 episodes and have a more solid and substantial story.
The bad guys is a bunch of idiots.Stupid characters, iam sorry i couldn't take them too seriously as they acted like spoiled kids.Bragging, laughing and feel superior, like Gods. They have power and money but no brains to use. I love evil characters. Here everyone is just laughable.Only mayor was a decent char among them. Every hero should have his opponent, an equally smart Villain.Well..here the hero obviously is not super smart so he gets the Villains he deserves after all..
The reason the Lawyer was chosen and dragged into this chaos, wasn't sufficient enough to me,to justify all the mess.
I know some tables have turned at the end and our protagonist became smarter, more capable and more efficient . And i would applaud all of these if was a smooth and believable ride.I could accept it easier if this persona was gradually built-up from the beginning instead acquiring all these traits out of the blue.
Of course the Drama has pros too.I never said is trash.
The Acting was really good and Lee Jong Suk although i have never watched any of his work, was excellent.I will definitely check out his other projects as i find him too talented.
Also to be fair, some of the latter episodes were good enough to make me watch it with more intense. But even so i had already made my mind and nothing could really save it.
As i said many times i don't mind any ending.Happy.. sad..open..Expected or not.I really don't mind,i can take all.But what i don't like is over and melo dramatic endings just for the sake of a "Big Exodus" which are totaly lame and unnecessary.Im not that kind of viewer to be too emotional over those endings.
I gave 6,based on the overall feeling this series left me.During all those 16 eps i never, not even once, had a moment of excitement.I felt the thrill and the suspense was poorly cooked and left an unpleasant taste in my mouth.
In other words this is how i felt about it....
Door bell rings.I open the door and there is a huge gift box with a fancy red ribbon.I take it inside.I see the box(is the 8,8 rating)I feel so excited! My heart beats fast.
I open the box and...there is another box inside.I got surprised but then i thought "ok the sender wants to create suspense..."
I open the second box and guess what?Another box!Ok this time iam disappointed and frustrated.
"I get this far i can't quit now" I open the box...Hmmm! "Where is my present??Is this a sick joke or what?"Iam already swearing hard..
I open another box.Inside there is a...lollypop.An orange flavored..The flavor i hate the most!
The End!

A good drama with an excellent start but a disappointment in the last episodes.
Big Mouth is a good drama but I got to say that the last episodes were a disappointment for me. I feel like they made BM so relevant and important to the story but when we found out who BM really was, it wasn’t that exciting anymore. 12 episodes to reveal him just to kill him in the next episode? What? I know Changho was already prentending to be BM but the whole climax was to find out who was the real BM. And when we finally found out, they just killed him. They should’ve made Changho be the real BM since the beginning then. Jerry was a character that it could have been more useful to the story too. They saved him for what? lol I thought he would have a more meaningful part in the drama. They created all this suspense about him for nothing. And it’s funny if we think about that because the writer decided to save him but kill Miho, who was doing much more relevant things in the drama.Miho’s leukemia and death was so unecessary. I really don’t care if a character dies in the end but her death seemed so forced and with 0 purpose to the main lead story. She died for Changho become BM? But he could have become BM without her dying…she really didn’t need to die. Also I loved her character in the beginning but it seems like the writer really wanted to kill her because she became a dumb character out of nowhere. But I have to point out that the effort of the actors really pays off. Jongsuk is phenomenal in this drama, he was the best thing for me here. Really natural and good actor. Handsomeee as well. The other actors were good too. The whole mystery about who BM is it’s really thrilling and make us addicted to each episode. It was fun to make theories. The writer was smart with this Big Mouth/Big Mouse idea. The pronunciation is similar so it was a smart move. I absolutely loved the OST too, fits the drama and the scenes really well.
I think in general it’s a fun drama to watch. But it could have been better if the writer didn’t lose himself in the middle. If you liked Defendant or Flower of Evil I think you have chances to like Big Mouth as well, although Defendant and FOE are much more superior dramas.

Was this really big?
I watched this finally since it received raves and awards for the leads and the drama from the MBC network....so it must have been a bad year for MBC if this was the mega winner. It does feature a different angle as to how the ML gets entangled in a power struggle but otherwise it is a standard overly dramatic Korean gangster/power abuse melodrama featuring lots of gang fighting and over the top cruelty against the powerless.. but the revenge against the abusers is not very effective or clever. If you like the leads, he is as goodlooking as ever even when beaten up and when he weeps, and she is admirable but it was more pleasant to see her in King the Land.
Personally I thought that the ML as well as FL in The Forbidden Marriage that was in the 2022 line up with this show showed a far greater range of emotions and character depth in a well executed story in less than the standard 16 episodes in which this drama was drawn out to fill the space.
