First Impressions: Bye Bye Birdie

The first episode was really slow for me, but the second picked up and I liked it a lot. It's really interesting to see how these two athletes abandoned their sport and are now coming back together. It's pretty cute. I also appreciate how they seem to be developing feelings for each other at the same time. She comes across as so sad, when she really wants to be ha[[y. When someone pokes her she geta all guarded and mean, but he seems to be able to make her soft and it's so cute. I'm really curious to know what happened between her and her old friend. My guess is that They had a match against each other and it was messed up because of the "bribing"? IDK. It's obvious she didn't actually bribe anyone and they will reconcile by the end though. I still feel like they are being so cruel to her, no matter what happened in the past. It's really sad... but in a good way for the story. I'm also really interested int he rest of the ensemble cast, but there are too many for me too remember and keep track of at this point haha. I will say that the cute couple and coach are already MVPs. Deductions for cliche trope about the guy living in the shadow of his sister and just how slow it is. But overall, I'm excited to see where this goes.
