Full of fluff ♡
I really love this series so much! I recommend to watch this if you want to take a break from a drama with heavy plot and lots of problems. Full of fluff and comedy ♡Actually I wanted that Yue girl to just vanished from exsitence because she's annoying asf. She need to check her eyes or something, like girl, your "childhood friend" already have a wife. Go and grab another man, sis :( I can't really say she deserve better though.
On the last episode, I really am glad she didn't decided to make a move and stab his wife to death. Like, hold up, that would make him more mad at you girly. Your obsession is just worse. I honestly like an "obsessive" type of character but but butㅡ I dislike it when their S/O already have another S/O and they decided to wreck their relationship. If you know what I meanㅡ I hope you know what I mean because it is kinda hard to describe it (actually I'm the one who don't really know the fitting words to described it but oh well)

Short & Sweet
The write-up said 12 episodes so I expected it to be short - not exactly this short, only 4 episodes, but I thoroughly enjoyed it., and the episodes were longer than the usual 40+ minutes. Simple story, well-played, not drawn out. Cute characters, and some good laughs just because the actors were so cute.When you are over-binged and burnt out of the long, long dramas, This is a good refresher. I was entertained. Loved the FL's 'handmaid'. If you're looking for a one-nighter, this is it!

miniserie simpaticissima e senza troppi fronzoli
sono solo 12 episodi da 20 minuti ciascuno, proprio quello che serve per sviluppare una storia dalla trama lineare, senza giri di parole. forse lascerà alcune cose inspiegate, magari il finale sarà un po' improvviso, qualcuno potrebbe addirittura dire che non ha capo né coda. la famiglia antagonista che in teoria dovrebbe avere un sacco di cattive aspirazioni in realtà si vede solo nella figura della figlia che vorrebbe a tutti i costi sposare il protagonista, il tutto risulta un pochino sospeso nello spazio e nel tempoparrebbe una recensione negativa ma in realtà non è affatto così, perché il punto di forza di questo mini drama è l'evoluzione del rapporto della coppia principale e, in seconda istanza di quella secondaria costituita dal fratello del protagonista e dalla moglie. è chiaro che si tratta di un lavoro a bassissimo budget, ciò nonostante sia le ambientazioni che i costumi si difendono senza troppa difficoltà.
il protagonista maschile ha lavorato molto poco nell'ambito della recitazione questo era il suo primo drama all'apparenza e direi che se l'è cavata più che bene.
anche per la protagonista femminile si trattava del primo ruolo in un drama e anche su di lei, tutto considerato, non si può dire nulla di male successivamente però lei ha continuato a lavorare nel mondo dei drama pur senza eccellere.
in definitiva si tratta di uno show che si guarda volentieri per passare un paio d'ore simpaticamente a patto di non pretendere nulla di eccezionale anche dal punto di vista dell'approfondimento dei personaggi. è una commedia romantica e nulla di più

Simple, sweet, and satisfying!
This drama is literally 4 hours long and as the length suggests, goes at an exceptional pace. There's a very limited set and some important scenes are left off screen so the viewers are left to surmise what happened via dialogue. Despite the low effort energy, the storyline was super sweet and if you're looking for a quick fix romance, this one's for you!PROS
❀ Comedy overload | I swear... this show is funny and no one can argue that. From the second-in-command bandit dressing up as the FL's personal maid to the ML romantically catching the FL after she fell from the roof (and dropping her/injuring his arms in the process), this drama delivers on comedic value. The ML and FL's servants were HILARIOUS (especially the FL's... they really utilized the most out of that actor HAHA) and the added visual/audio effects kept the tone super light and fluffy.
❀ Cute romance | The pairing is mischievous, rough and tough female bandit who likes to cook x scholarly and gentle general's son. They make for a cute pair! The actors had great chemistry and I love their little moments in bed (where they're hugging each other). Also, FINALLY a drama with kissing scenes where the couple closes their eyes while making out. LMAO it always comes off as unnatural when couples keep their eyes open while kissing (as well as uncomfortable). The leads are quick to fall in love with each other and become supportive partners. Yay!
❀ Fun antics with the second couple | The second couple is the general's first son and his wife; both characters are fun/likable and go through minor growth along with our main leads. Seriously, the wife's confrontation with her husband was so satisfying to see and the husband's subsequent romantic deeds was great.
CONS
✕ Falling into tropes | Y'all I can't with the evil second female lead who can't take no for an answer trope... Anyway, this kinda woman shows up in this drama too to mar the story with bad acting (along with her maid, yikes) and dialogue. Not that it's a huge annoyance since you KNOW she won't get her way, but... lmao. Can't believe they added her.
✕ YT subtitles aren't the best | I'm grateful for the subs but they were a lil yikes... you could definitely see syntax/grammar errors and wrong pronouns.
✕ Misunderstanding level: 1/10 | Small ones happen but for like 10 minutes. I kid you not, at the breakneck pace this show goes, misunderstandings are NOT something to worry about.
OVERALL
Simple, sweet and satisfying love story between two leads with great chemistry. I'm a huge fan of the FL (the actress is so pretty!) and her straightforward attitude. Someone on YT commented that she's a mix of the FLs from General's Lady, Chef Hua, and Fake Princess, and I agree.
(Note: My rewatch value is set to 5.0 always as a default as I'm not the type to rewatch dramas EVER. Thus, I do not take it into account when calculating overall score.)

WHEN NO EXPECTATION
When you don't have any expectation from this drama, you'll get what wish for, no complication - no side story lines - no other supporting actors - no other setting venues - no other choice of outfits. Its pretty simple, take a nap and miss nothing of it, the story was circling about Lu Wan'Er and Huang Fu Yan...little bit of dynamic sister/brother in law Zhao Yuan Jun/Huang Fu Mu. There wasn't a bang of chemistry between the actors...it's pretty basic Chinese love story... means the ending is happy with no heartbreak or sadden last minute life decision....it's all good if that's considered as a 'spoiler'. I think this is low budged project, with limited location, no other supporting actor - a few casts, little to nothing change of clothing I can see this is 'a first time production' for this team. Do I want to rewatch it? I don't think so, this is one of them that you've enough watch it once, too bad I can't give 0 score.Would I recommend it? When you have plenty time in your hand like me, go for it! Otherwise, keep flipping the remote find something else better and when we think there are many other more that better out there, this drama doesn't stand a chance to stay put.
