If the heart eyes emoji was a show, it would be this one.
This was one of the sweetest, purest and fluffiest BLs I've ever seen. The story was easy going, light and so cute. If you want to watch one the most quotable series full of heart eyes, rainbows and a little angst, this is the show for you.The acting was great and the entire casts are lovable and likeable.
Loved the opening theme.
Will definitely be re-watching this one.
Overall this was the best thing that came out of the shit storm that was 2020. You will always have the biggest smile watching this series.

Entertaining Show About Healthy Relationship
While most contemporary romantic dramas romatize stalking, possessiveness, jealousy and even sexual assaults, 30sai made Dotei dato Mahotsukai ni Narerurashii stands out. My friends and I made a pact to make one of us starting a new relationship watch this show. The series follows the development of the relationship between Kurosawa, who seems perfect and confident and Adachi, who is awkward and has low self-esteem. The story is convincing, fun and a light-watch. The characters and their relationship with one another evolve over time that adds unpredictability to the storyline.
The actors are convincing that they take you to this comical world for the whole of 25 minutes. The body language and facial expression bring value to the storytelling as dialogues are minimal.
The show is really good and entertaining that on occasions as I waited for the new episode, I rewatched the show from the very beginning. My friends and I made a pact to make one of us starting a new relationship watch this show.

i'm personally waiting this kind of drama from Japan all the time.
The story, the execute, the value, etc so decent. For me i'm tired of oversexualizing in every romance drama and only point out the intimate scene and fanservice with no meaning at all. After this i get my hope for see this kind of romance BL drama in the future.I want to point out some of its good side. It maybe contain my self opinion, so maybe you have different opinion with me.
So what's make this drama so special?
1. The characters portray so well. Thanks to Director and Script Writer who make each Character more precious in drama. It's not like I say the manga version is bad, but i can tell that the Characters in drama are better. Adachi is an introvert character. The introvert trait here is not showed as hikikomori, or have anxiety disorder, but as a normal Introvert who still can work and speak to other people properly, although he's not good with large group of people (ep3). He have low self esteem but still he live based on his ideal. Being Salaryman is an usual job in Japan society, to manage to get this job, i think Adachi is not really fool. However, he often compare himself to someone else that make him have low self esteem. On other side, Kurosawa is an extrovert who looks perfect in other's eyes, not just because He's handsome, He also clever and easy going. To be top sales in the company, often surrounded by female co-worker, is normal things if others envy him. He also being gentleman around Adachi. However, nobody's perfect, bring those image everywhere is tiring to person like Kurosawa, because once he makes mistake, other people would bad-mouthing him. We also know somebody like him in real-life, right?. It makes Kurosawa hide problem for himself. However, He one day told Adachi about his heart problem (ep7) and surprisingly got unexpected respond. Adachi told that seeing his weakness is kinda refreshing. For the first time, He heard that 'it's okay being not okay' despite forcely being perfect all the times. Beside, Kurosawa is the character of seme who have really good self-control eventhough sometimes he have pervert mind (in manga He even more pervert, a closet pervert). We also got Fujisaki-san which also very different with manga version. In manga, Fujisaki is just merely hardcore fujoshi with wild imagination who ship Kurosawa x Adachi so hard and often have dirty mind of them. But in drama, Fujisaki is a friendly, cute and seems to be family-oriented woman whose the truth, She doesn't have any interest into romance. However, She wants Adachi happy with Kurosawa since She notice Kurosawa's feeling to Adachi. Tsuge is closest friend to Adachi. Tsuge is a bookworm novelist who likes cute creature such as cat (and minato LMAO). Tsuge gradually love Minato, the delivery man who recently often sent a package to him, after he got same power with Adachi. TBH, for the first time i feel second couple not as strong as main couple, but they're also got interesting story later.
2. The Actors and their acting. I like how they play their role and portray each character and bring this character live. We can see Akaso eiji and Machida keita have a good chemistry. Eventhough they didn't do intimate skinship, i can feel their feeling through their eyes. Even forehead kiss scene at episode 3 seems more romantic than kiss on lips. Akaso's awkward acting also seems natural and all his gesture create the super cute Adachi. Machida as Kurosawa is also gentle and handsome. His sight when see Adachi, I can see the pure love of Kurosawa to Adachi through his eyes. Surprisingly, Kurosawa who seems cool outside is cute and sometimes hilarious inside his mind (whether his imaginations or sudden poetry lol). Also their gesture and their inner voice match perfectly.
3. The story is not just about love between two guys. Maybe this drama cannot fullfills somebody's fetish who want bunch of skinship and intimate scene in every single episode on BL drama. If you are those kind of people, better not watch it or you'll miss every good point of its story. Ofcourse its main story is about homosexual difficulties, how Kurosawa have to hide his feeling toward Adachi and how Adachi should respond to Kurosawa's feeling because they both man, when it seems better as collage than as a lover. More that that, this drama also show a pure love with consent. Kurosawa always considers Adachi's feeling. He doesn't want Adachi to feel forced into relationship or being uncomfortable around him. It also tells about dream and goal, when Adachi feels nothing he want to reach in life but gradually change to find his goal (spoiler for next episode). It also tells about how someone's feeling can have impact to other's perspective. Because of Kurosawa's love, Adachi can grow up and move forward. Because of knowing that everyone have their own problem, Adachi can be more confident to help others. Also Tsuge who try to come out of his comfort-zone and reach Minato's heart. The never give-up Minato, the hardworking Rokkaku, and aromantic Fujisaki-san who likes her career. Every Character have their own story which are amazing. I rarely see BL drama that have those kind of value, very decent.
4. The comedy. Priceless expression and anime-like joke. If you don't similar with these kind of comedy, i don't know whether you can enjoy it or not, but i laugh very hard at some scene. Also the backsound of Kurosawa imagination always tickled me š. The mole scene, Tsuge and Adachi's hilarious headbanging, memeable face of Tsuge, Kurosawa's jealousy, etc. 5. Easter egg in each episode However i learn it after several rewatched. It tells that Kurosawa often pay attention to Adachi since episode 1, when Adachi enter the office then slipped his feet, Kurosawa suddenly stand up. It also means that Kurosawa research about Adachi ever since He had crush (7 years? š³) That's why he's very confident when said "I know everythings about Adachi". Kurosawa already knows that adachi like sweet tamagoyaki, He already put his finger to take sugar (ep2) but he still asks Adachi to not look suspicious. In Kurosawa's imagination, Adachi wear white tshirt, that tshirt Adachi wear inside his shirt. He also imagine Adachi sleep at his personal bed š³. Since Adachi caught by elevator door, Kurosawa hold the elevator door for Adachi (Ep 3-4). Adachi very love onigiri, there's onigiri's display on his desktop (ep6). I hope i'll find more next time š

A must watch. Just pure love and happiness
*I have written this review with no spoilers*I will definitely recommend everyone who loves non toxic rom-coms to watch it. I was totally mesmerized by this show. No unnecessary toxic scenes or characters.
It is so well written and the actors were able to portray all the emotions the characters were feeling very effortlessly. You are sure to fall in love with the characters from the first episode. The way the characters develop through the series and the way their insecurities are shown is beautiful. Kurosawa and Adachi will surely melt your heart. I consider Tsuge and Minato as main characters as well cause I just can't with these 2, even with their limited screentime they stole my heart ā„ā„ā„...Not kidding my heart belongs to this show...ā„ā„ā„XDXD
The side characters are very well written and have a small storylines of their own which gives you a glimpse into their life. (Rokkaku is so cute)
The music in the series is really good. I loved both the songs and looked them up on YouTube and now listen to them every now and then.
Will I rewatch this show, I'm gonna go do that immediately after writing this review and whenever I'm feeling down......for sure.....
I'm sad that it ended, but extremely happy to have watched it...I'll miss the characters.
Hope the review helped. Thanks for reading.
Lots of love. Byeeeeee

Whatever decision you make, you must like the self who made that decision!
This series started with me smiling and it's the first bl themed series I've watched that kept that smile and giggle till the end! There was no drama just to add drama, it was just a story about two different individuals who fall hopelessly and beautifully in love. And as a person who has never experienced such, mostly that awkwardness and cuteness oh! I can now say with one heart that I have lived and I have felt that mysterious and beautiful thing called LOVE.
The giddiness that comes with venturing the dating waters, the shyness towards the other party, the happiness.. I swear when Kurosawa "proposed" to Adachi, I too gasped and was happy and surprised as though it was meeeee who Kurosawa proposed to.
And the friends!!!!!!! They were supportive, caring and cheering of each other and their achievements. Such moments just made me tear up , mostly at what they did to support Adachi and Kurosawa with the fire wax. I hope they get all that they deserve and moreeeeee.
ooooooooooh *smiling, giglinggggg* before I FORGETTTT!!! That least scene, that elevator scene, that just kept my eyes glued to the screen and my head inching CLOSER and CLOSER to the screen *screammmmmmm* kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ...
Just watch it y'all

I love this show a lot lol
This is one of the few BL series that show nothing but a healthy relationship from both the mains and the side relationship. Tsuge was a bit dramatic but in a good way(?) His character is literally how some people react when they like someone and do not know what to do-- same with Adachi. I loved how the love in the show felt real (if that makes sense). Nobody was forcing anybody to do anything, they fell in love on their own. Kurosawa had wild thoughts-- keyword thoughts but never forced Adachi to do anything he was not comfortable doing. Also this show made my teeth rot because how sweet it was.Was this review helpful to you?

SPELLBINDING āØ
FIRST OF ALL THERE ARE NO KISSES IN THIS SERIES ā¼ļøBut this has to be one of the greatest stories ever told. I maybe exaggerating however they only showed how powerful love is. It is honest, forgiving, just and especially it is accepting. This is something everyone must see and feel.
They have not tackled any social issue within the community but they made sure that you will feel that in loving the same sex is just as normal as being in a heterosexual relationship. They made it look natural and beautiful.
I never seen a beautiful in a long time. They're not toxic but they are just people who make mistakes and they made sure that they've learned from those things.
Don't doubt just watch it. It's definitely worth it.

They NEVER Really Kiss!
You sit there in anticipation. Then, it starts. Kurosawa slides his hand behind Adachiās neck to get a firm but gentle hold. He is in charge. Everyone knows what is about to happen, especially Adachi. He moves his lips closer and closer until he is just about to touch Adachiās magnetic pout, then BAM! It is either someone interrupting, a telephone going off, or the elevator closing, but there is NO contact! It is the most unusually disappointing expectation. Of course, as the old saying goes, āIf you have expectations, you will be disappointed.āMaybe it is Japanese, often so formal and polite. I thought it was only in China, but even in China, they kiss! Oh well, enough of my disappointment. I hope there is a season two, and they actually SMACK! No tongues, just smack right on the lips.
Other than that, this is undoubtedly the BEST BL series, so far. A close second might be Sam and Yu in We Best Love, and a host of what now might be called vintage: Tay and New, Max and Tul, and Zach and Fandy, et al. Kurosawa and Adachiās chemistry is so vibrant you almost believe they are real. Even the compilations and follow-ups on youtube make you believe they are or soon will be together for life.
If you havenāt seen it, you must! There is no fault. Oh, sure, anyone can find fault, in fact one guy on this review page wrote that the ending was at fault. It went too fast or something, and the secondary characters were not to his liking or some such rot. And, another complained Kurosawaās co-workers talked behind his back saying there wasnāt much to him other than his looks, yet he is continually praised for his excellent ability at his job. This is not unusual. Good looking peopleās accomplishments are often overlooked by others out of jealousy. Many prefer to think of good looking people as objects not abilities. And, there was still another who said it left a bad taste in her mouth. Wow, PEOPLE!
There really is no fault! I have watched it three times already, and I fall in love with both of them each time. I couldnāt possibly chose which one I love more. They currently reign supreme: Kurosawa and Adachi!

An explosion of freaking cuteness
OMG I freaking LOVED this drama. It was sooooo cute. Like, for real, it was super awesome.
I laughed so much watching this! There were a lot of unexpected scenes (specially when Adachi read Kurosawa's mind).
Adachi had so many interesting responses due to his newfound magic that I totally related with them. I got myself thinking:
- What if I, suddenly, had this power and found out that a colleague had a crush on me, what would I do?
Kurosawa's mind was such a delight, I mean they could have gone through the "manly" route, however, he has the stereotype mind of a "girl in love", that plans the couples future before they are even a couple. And that is unexpectedly funny, and catches you out of guard every single time.
I watched all the episodes in one sitting (the episodes are roughly 20 minutes long) and it was really enjoyable.
This is a gem, ladies and gentlemen.

Best Concept Ever
A quick review on Cherry Magic, and just to say that I loved this series with all my heart. It was one of the first series I've seen that wasn't involving students or a university. I'm usually bored with the office-type settings, but this was the best thing yet. Adachi and Yuichi played a wonderful couple, with the subtle humor and silliness of mind-reading abilities, they created one of the best Japanese BLs ever.Let's Dive In.
Let's start with the concept of the show. One word: brilliant. At first, I was worried that I was going to get bored with this series, mainly due to the fact that I went in without reading the synopsis or anything. As soon as we get into the juicy parts of the plot, I'm invested. A thirty-year-old gets the ability to read people's minds when he touches them, and it's all due to him being a virgin? Please, I love it. There was just so much to play around with when it came to this concept, and the show does an amazing job at executing their options. I really liked being able to be in Yuichi's head and see what he was thinking. Most of the time is was super cute, and other times it made for a good laugh at Adachi's reactions. I also liked how he used it to help with the people around him with their health and their situations. We can also kind of see how him having these abilities are affecting him. This show did a good job at diving into all of the different aspects that would come to being able to read people minds. A beautiful job well done.
I loved Adachi and Yuichi. They had this perfect shyness towards one another, and I loved them with all of my heart. I liked that we didn't have to see a bunch of skinship to fall in love with their relationship. That's when you know that you have a genuine couple and great acting to make these characters who they are.
I wasn't a fan of Adachi's friend at all. While I was intrigued with his story starting off, I was completely done with it closer to the end. Masato had this very calming, very dull personality until he meet this delivery boy and slowly realizes he's catching feelings. What took me away from this character was how he overdramatically expressed his affection, or just his emotions in general. I felt like I was watching a entirely different series when we switched to him. I didn't like how Adachi and his story were pretty ordinary and natrual when it came to expressing emotions while Masato was over the top when emphasizing how he was feeling. I didn't care much for him, nor did I care much for Minato (even though he was adorable). They were nice, but they drew me out of the main story.
Overall, this was a very detailed, very well put together series. My favorite part was just the concept. We don't see many fantasy BL series, so this one was exciting. I hope we're able to see more series with this fantastical type of setting. A definte recommendation.

Kurosawa didn't need magic to read Adachi's mind
I was a bit unsure if I am even willing to bother with this series. Mostly because I often find the idea of virginity giving you some sort of magic (or making you pure) very off putting. Itās my opinion and probably the main reason I have put off watching it for so long. Thankfully, some edits made me intrigued and got me to give it a go.Kurosawa & Adachi: Adachi might be one of the most relatable characters for introverts I have ever seen. He lacks confidence and tends to put himself down, he doesnāt stand up for himself and does everything to make others like him. He often worries about how others perceive him. Kurosawa is the it guy at the office. He seems confident, outgoing, friendly, and competent. But he also has a more vulnerable side that we get to see later one. I really liked that they added dimension to his character. I really liked their dynamics; Kurosawa was never too pushy when it came to pursuing Adachi and gave him space. He was also very good at reading Adachi and his reaction, and then adapting his behavior. And he wasnāt even the one with magic!
Tsuge & Minato: they were the side couple with a similar premise as the main one. Tsuge was also in possession of magic while Minato was unaware of that. Tsuge is both an introvert and a drama king, he sure knows how to exaggerate. Minato is adorable, very friendly, and quite outgoing. I wasnāt really enjoying this couple and I think it has a lot to do with me disliking Tsuge as a character. I donāt know what it is about him, but I found him annoying.
I genuinely liked all of the side characters. Rokkaku and Fujisaki were an absolute joy whenever they appeared on screen. Even Urabe, Adachiās senior at work, was not nearly as bad as I thought at first. He really redeemed himself as the series progressed.
I like how they showed that having the magic is not always a good thing nor itās something that you should rely on too much. It gave us a different perspective from what I expected. They also avoided a lot of cliches ā from evil exes to pursuing a reluctant person.
The comedy aspect was nicely incorporated into the series. The visuals and locations were amazing too. I also really liked the intro and outro sequences.
The series might not be one of my favorites, but it was an enjoyable watch. This is a very subjective thing, so just because it was not something I absolutely loved, doesnāt mean it is not something others enjoyed a lot more.

Please give it a watch!: A very sweet drama that will make you smile
A refreshingly sweet and endearing office drama that goes slightly beyond romance. It tackles issues about self-esteem, opening up and being overall kind to yourself and others. I love it to bits and the entire cast and crew have given it so much thoughtfulness into making this series. Yes there's humour, but so much heart!I wish there are more beautiful and sweet stories like this. In fact, I'd love it if they could expand it for another season. It has been the highlight of my end of year.
