After watching so many dramas, this is my first time writing a review.

If you are want a drama with a good story,Don't watch this. it ain't worth it. It started well, but mid way, it went downhill and never went up. The writer was drunk while writing episode 25-36. Most of the things that happened didn't make any sense. The end was the most stupid thing that i ever watched. You ain't going to see any good fights if you like to watch xanxia dramas for fights.

They built up so much high expectation while talking about the Phoenix (FL) in the drama, but She ain't going to do anything. She just care about her love. She got pregnant. Her egg was something surreal but nothing happened until the last minute where we saw the child being born. Moreover i think she forgot she had a child. Like honestly, she just left her child somewhere in the devil realm and forgot about it.

AND The ML who is the Red Sun God is the most useless character in the show. He did not do a single thing to protect the FL. He was constantly forgetting (memory loss) about the FL. And he lost most fights even if he was supposedly overpowered.

But If you like the actors, you can watch it. They are good actors. The script just did them dirty.

It started off great... but

I really didn't like the ending, actually, there were many things I hated about this drama... It started off great, I had big expectations for Wei Zhi's character to evolve once she learned the truth but she didn't at all.
There are so many annoying bad cuts and fast-forwarding years later, it looks like the writer couldn't wait to finish it and rushed the story.
Even the love story wasn't really developed, didn't see much chemistry. The main characters' personalities were annoying for the most part. Their acting skills were okay but not the best, I didn't feel much emotion and was pretty detached from the story.
Scenes that could have been impactful were messed up in my opinion. For example, the scene of the Phoenix's reveal was surprisingly underwhelming. The revenge against the 'bad guys' was disappointing too, it happens really fast and no one really gets punished for their actions.
The arc story of the past was useless or maybe misplaced, it might have been better if they had put it at the beginning.

The CGI was amazing though ^^ too bad they didn't put as much thought into the actual story :/
Maybe my expectations were too high after watching 'TTEOTM' and 'The Starry Love' ...

PS: I find the title pretty funny when in the story the Phoenix has literally 0% resilience, the whole time she sacrifices herself for ML any chance she gets :/ As soon as she gets a little power she finds a new way to lose them and people have to save her ... again ?

This drama is a shit show

Guys this a ju junyi drama when comes to acting know a day after her last couple of works lets jus keep our expectations in the grave. That's where mine were but to my absolute amazement i was still disappointed. I give them a round of applause for making this and actually releasing this.

This drama felt like it has three parts
The school arc
The devil realm - demon realm
The last couple of episodes

So know the school arc wasnt so bad the acting was okay sometimes but not unwatchable and the character followed the usual troupes. Weak FL, strong ML, the usual bitch, the jealous bitch and everybody else. This arc was thier to establish some of the early relationships and plot but it was so forgetable. Some cool stuff happens but anything that gets me hooked. It was truly boring. The girl name Wei l something her character was quite likable at first oh dear god why. Her character development was just awful and she was jus a crazy ass bitch. She had plot point that might have made me like her but the road she went on just made you want see her impailed by spears. The demon lord could have prevented so many of his problems if wasnt jus so quick to attach. Like been alive for a long time, he could have fully scheme some shit up to get a better result but these characters overall arent so smart. The only thing in liked about him through his entire existance was his relationship with the kitchen god. I did understand his hatered but i wish he was smarter with the things he wanted to do.

The devil realm and demon realm arcs of the story is just nonsense like they dont really do much here other from meet new character and ML and FL have sex. They develop their relationship more as a couple but that really all goes to shit when heavenly daddy comes into the picture. I already did not like the male lead and heavenly father but this jus made it worse. Also, during this time the stuff going on in the human realm wasnt even interesting. It was more of an annoyance and most of the characters left in the human realm were forgetable, added nothing other from more bullshit and really did nothing to make me care if they lived or died. Even though this sentiment was felt for most of then characters in this show the human realm was just boring. We do get the flashback of their past lives but thing is they showed us soo much information before that the basic plot of it all was known. The past lives arc added nothing new it jus gave us a better understanding for the demon lord hatered toward the male lead which was pretty understandable. The entire arc i was jus skipping through episodes because the ending already made me know their was nothing to look foward to and it did not matter.

After this point i thought maybe the female lead would see an improvement but yet again i should have learn to have no expectations. Also the fact she got pregnant with ML baby i hated this so much it really was not needed. All know at ep 34 with two more episodes left it still wasnt needed. Then we had the heavenly emporer coming into hid hating ass ways. For being the heavenly emporer he an awful character. This things he does through this show makes you wonder if he understands what love and family is. The things he does to his own son are jus ridiculous and he was never made to be likeable. Honestly at this part of the story the only characters i do like are yan lou, heavenly empress and kitchen god. They thenonly ones everybody else could die and i would not care honestly.

The male lead did have his moments but he was overall just dissapointing. So was the female lead. She is jus useless like she cant do nothing. When she loses her original appearance in the later episodes that actor was way better than ju junyi. Watching her portray the character was much better.

I don't this drama should be watched unless u watching it for the actors. There is absolutely nothing good about this drama. I'm going to finish it just to see the ending but he read this do not waste your time. This drama is show be the definition of garbage

I jus finished it. They made worse omg, how was this made, who wrote this, read this and thought this show should be birth into this world. This show is a waste of money, time and jus, I'm honestly shocked how could a show be soo bad. Who ever wrote this script never write again. Whoever read this show dont watch it. This show needs a drop on site tag.

I waited all this time to get out of the past for this?

Three out of the last six episodes have a body swap and I’m supposed to know care about some unknown actress that hasn’t been on screen in 30 episode know play the mfl and it will continue into episode 31 and 32. I want to see the main actress play the character I’ve watched for 29 episodes not this garbage. I am so mad and the mml is a freaking idiot easily manipulated by his daddy and I suspect a peacock for years to forget his true love multiple times, after he is kills her. And to finally see him with “her” only for her to be a fake wearing the phoenix’s face. First I had to sit through to many horrible episodes of this is how I first betrayed you in our first life, to move on to body swap to wrap up the story. And how in the world is this low level peacock so powerful she keeps getting the upper hand on the mfl? It’s too much of the bad girl getting away with to much for to long when she’s not all powerful all intelligent or pretty.

Good story, good chemestry even some part is stupid

Story
Beginning EP 1- 19 are good, there are lots of bad people that made the story go on
In the middle EP 20-29 are good, the story line of another life of them.
EP 30-32 is still annoy because of new Female lead (Fake Weijue) she acts not that good ( eye contact and movement are not good ) this period is should be more fun but it's not
EP32-34 are good, good moment, Clear all questions and lively
EP35-36 (END) It's made sense and story same as many C-drama wuxia so the end is not that bad if compair with others
However, It should have special EP for healing people or more sweet moments.

Who concern about ending, I could say it is good not bad.

Charecters
Good chemistry between ML and FL, overall of charecters are good.
Personally, I like Female Lead, JingYi perform better than the part espeically sad scene. ML is charisma, cute and handsome, he perfomred also good.
Bad charecters here are also good, I hate them !!

Music
Music is good especially love scene

Production
Production is good ! Custome, CG and everything are good !

Finally, I used to drop it because of some spoiled ! but i trust my self to continue it and yes It is valuable to watch it ! If you are wuxia'fan Don't miss it !!

Plot had potential but Bad Storytelling and Editing wasted it.

This plot is not somewhat new in Xianxia genre but could have been more interesting if emphasis given on flow of storytelling. It feels weird and jumps from one scene to another which makes no sense sometimes.
Some scenes don't make sense why they are included in the particular situation.

To be honest, acting was not worst but yeah not exceptionally good either. It was watchable to me so I feel it was in just okay category. The expressions of leads wasn't on the point sometimes, let alone micro-expressions.

I couldn't feel chemistry between leads when they were in Heavenly realm or in the Demon/Devil realm. It was almost bland without any spark.

A little spark I feel, when they were in human realm and Female lead was a General. This is the most interesting and well done arc of the whole drama. I think makers should have extended this part of the story.

I like SiMa Wang Yue and Chen Yan more than Wei Zhi and Yan Yue. Nan Mu was also good. Wei Ling Yue had potential to do something good but she end up being a toxic person.

Some characters are just annoying and waste of screen time like Yi Er. They didn't do anything in progression of the plot.

Ending was rushed and bad. I don't have problem with sad endings but this one was exceptionally bad. Many characters died without any solid reason and efforts, like they were just for dying. I'm not even impressed with main villian as he could have done something more interesting but what he did was all predictable.

Costumes were good but hair accessories of Female lead were too much even when she don't have money and comes from a poor family, though I like it in some scenes.

So, in the conclusion, I won't recommend it to anyone.

This is my favorite drama so far.

I've completed 82 dramas and dropped 68 others. I've decided that this is going to be my first time writing a review because Beauty of Resilience was so excellent.

Story: The plot was carefully planned out and there were many tiny details that strengthened the overall story. I loved how there were mysteries that were uncovered only later on so I could think about it myself and really feel like I was a part of the story. I experienced a rollercoaster of emotions watching this drama including sadness, anger, relief, satisfaction, confusion, and happiness. There were many funny moments, especially in their past life. There were also many deaths, both bad and good. I know many people said the ending wasn't the best. It does indeed have a confusing and sad ending. I'll explain it here. This is just for people who completed the drama unless you want spoilers. In the end, Wei Zhi gave Yan Yue the Hua Rong to save him so she, the Pheonix, now has to die. Yan Yue cannot live without her so he takes the Hua Rong out of his body. Thus, in reality, the two has already died and from now on, their child will protect the three worlds. Yan Yue created another reality and sent the Hua Rong back in time to their past life to correct their mistakes. However, in this reality, their fate cannot be changed. So basically it's a sad ending for Wei Zhi and Yan Yue. However, I wouldn't really call it a bad ending. Sometimes, sad endings help their stories leave a deeper trace in me, just like this one did. I don't think I'll forget the emotions I felt for a long time. Also, I found the explanation for the ending on YouTube. I'm not 100% sure it's what the producer meant but it makes sense.

Acting/Cast: I knew both of the leads before watching this drama and decided to watch it because of that. I think both of them look amazing and have great acting skills. Others may disagree but this is just what I think. Ju Jing Yi's makeup always looks so perfect and amazing. Fiction Guo can look both cute and cold depending on his role in the story. Both of the leads had me loving and hating them when they were heros and villians in the drama. I really liked the rest of the cast and their acting as well. Overall, the cast was very nice and I appreciate their hardwork in acting.

Music: The OST touched my heart. Literally everytime I listen to one of the songs, I remember all their stories and all the emotions I felt. I especially liked the one sung by the leads. It was like they were singing about their own experiences. I could listen to it over and over again. Same goes for the other ones.

Rewatch Value: I don't usually rewatch dramas like these. I've only done it for two so far. However, I think I'll do it for this one as well. It would be easier to understand now that I know the answers to all the mysteries before time. I also plan on hunting for some hidden details because I've already found some and I think there are more.

Overall: It was the best drama I've ever watched. You may think that the best drama deserves a 10 and I would've done that but nothing is perfect. Yes, I'm a little strict. The highest rating I've given a drama before this was a 9.0. I really recommend this drama! Oh and if you like it, I recommend Good and Evil. The male lead is Fiction Guo. The female lead doesn't look as good as Ju Jing Yi in my perspective but you might think otherwise. It also has a sad ending so try it only if you want to. That's it!

A romantic, cozy watch

POSITIVE:
The best vibe I can describe for this drama is a romantic, cozy watch. It's perfect if you've had a long day and want to watch something to relax in the evening. It's not too emotional or too comedic, more like a mild, steady tone. The story is mainly about the love between the male leads and it has Romeo and Juliette vibes. CGI/Visuals are done well. The drama has five major plot points: ep 1-10 is academy life (magic school vibes), ep 11-17 devil realm life (married couple vibes), ep 18-25 past life (purely a historical vibe with no magic), ep 26-29 mortal/heaven realm life (mix of things) and ep 30-36 demon life (demon + heaven realms). I really liked that each plot point introduced different settings/places and storyline so there was always something new to see.

NEGATIVE:
The problem with this drama is that it didn't have "the spark". Many things happen in the drama and it has good plot twists but for some reason it all felt a bit bland. I can't truly describe it but it felt like many plot points were thrown in the drama to make it more interesting but they somehow ended up being disjointed and forced without a massive emotional impact. In conclusion the drama didn't feel it had this "wow, I'm addicted" factor.

CHARACTERS:
FL reminded me of Cinderella. A shy maid with a kind-heart that's bullied by two spoiled/mean girls. I found her likeable from beginning to end. ML is the typical reserved and shy heavenly prince. At first ML looked quite unremarkable and in the later episodes the actor truly shined when playing other characters. Especially during the past life arc (ep 18-25) I almost felt like another actor was playing him because he was that good. SML also had a strong storyline.

MUSIC:
I need to give a special attention to the OST because if you don't watch the drama, at least you have to listen to the beautiful OST which has become one of my top favourites.

ENDING:
I'd say episode 29 wrapped up really nicely and I almost feel it would have been a perfect ending if it was the last episode. But the true ending of the drama in the final episode is quite a twisty one and a little difficult to understand at first. It's not a bad ending at all though. In fact the best way I can describe it is that it has multiple endings which is not something I've seen in another drama.

Ok so hear me out

So I know I'm kind of in the minority here, seeing as this has an overall 7/10 and most reviews I've seen have been negative, but I loved this drama. Do I think it's the best, most spectacular drama out there? No. Do I still love and recommend it? Absolutely. This drama for me was right up my alley so I had a feeling going in that I would love it and I was right. The story is interesting, the charecters are likeable, and the leads have good chemistry,
As for our male lead, oh boy do I have a complicated relationship with him. Cause I both love and hate him, it's very emotionally draining. Cause I like him when he's being himself, kind and protective, but when he's in his god mode, I hate him. In real life, I would never ever take that man back like Wei Zhi did. Restraining order immediately. But since she does take him back, I wish he'd had to work a bit harder for her forgiveness. Not nearly enough apologising for his actions, he did it once and got forgiven. Like Wei Zhi, make him work a little for it.
Wei Zhi, I literally love so much. She's been through the ringer these past two lives. She needs a good hug. I wish we could see them living their human life, just for a little bit. I also want to know what will happen when they die? Will Chen Yan become Yan Yue again? Will Wangyue become immortal? Or will they both die as humans and then reincarnate? I need answers.
Anyway, if you are interested by the premise what so ever please give this a watch. I really enjoyed it and I hope you will too

General review....

Out of the 36 episodes, only 10 to 12 episodes were worth seeing. The last episode left a void, and to make a finale he made a flashback to the past in reverse time.
Also a scene of the emperor that try to kill a woman, which woman is, what was her future, and how she is connected to the ML, there is no comments!!!!
Their child, the egg that is, hatched and was a palm tree, after that nothing!!!!
Most hateful characters: the emperor, the peacock and the royal advisor.
Most love characters: the couple of the devil realm, the cook god, the god or rain and his minion, the empress.
Good music, the actors were good, in general it is worth seeing if you have nothing else to do.
