the story is based on YSX (FL) who is a makeup blogger and ZU (ML) who is botany professor . they have already encounter each other in college and high school . there were a misunderstanding between them which had lead them to different path . they are accidentally meet each other and their journey starts to fall for each other.
the leads have very beautiful chemistry which will keep you busy.
there are 2 leads which have their own story to follow. they have little bit more of the screen time as they are 2 leads . i have to skip their parts to watch our main leads scenes.
the overall drama is worth a try because ML and FL will not disappoint in their acting.
this drama is lighthearted and easy to watch .

The direction led the drama slowly and, at the end, a 100m dash. At the beginning of the drama the comic scenes are very forced and therefore it is difficult to laugh. Very few exciting scenes. The editing isn't pristine and the use of flashback scenes is rather tiresome.
The cast is good, but few fit into their characters (too annoying characters), so the scenes are not always convincing.
The soundtrack is good, but it wasn't always used properly to maximize the emotion of the scene.

This had the potential to be one of my favorite drama of all time.
Lets get the complaints out of the way since I’m sure everyone has already said the same thing. THE SECOND LEADS ARE ANNOYING. I love their characters overall of course but not once did i care or look forward to seeing their romance. hell, i was looking forward to seeing Gou Fei on screen than seeing them. That’s how much I hated watching them. The entire thing with him faking needing a wheelchair so he hires her to take care of him so he can be close to her is some messed up power dynamics bs then him revealing that he actually is a leg amputee is just ugh. at that point i DID NOT care. please just get them out of my screen. It’s also the way that they take up HALF of each episodes aside from the last few. WHY ARE THEY TAKING TIME FROM THE MAIN LEADS??? There are literally so many important scenes like the drunk kiss scene that gets cut out to give time to the second leads which. why. why did you do that. the guy is so unremarkable i don’t even remember his character name dhmu.Other than that this would have been a 10/10, the soundtrack was gorgeous, the main leads chemistry was off the charts, Yu Meiran’s backstory was amazing. The way she pursued Zhuang Yu in the beginning and the way he had to pursue her back after leaving her was so interesting to watch, I also loved the way she bonded with his brother and them being honest with each other about everything at the end, I find myself rewatching many scenes of this drama often. Esther Yu was once again perfect for her role and her chemistry with Binbin was also very cute to watch, I would definitely like a season two or watch them act together again. but really please i want a season two i just want to watch Dr.Yu and Professor Zhuang’s antics and academics rivalry forever they make me so happy.

If you are looking for rom-com this will be the nice choice
When I see the reviews of this drama I was very excited to watch and I am not kidding this is the best decision I have make. This drama is literally so funny to watch i couldn't control my laugh this drama have a good comic timing . This is one of the drama that make get hooked after the first episode.The story of this drama is so cute my personal favourite couple is Jin xi and Li taintain and main character also. The romance in this drama very soothing and loveable. Overall a pack of family, romantic and funny drama. If you want to watch a romantic drama in which girl chases a boy then you choose the right drama. At last this drama is one time watch you can watch and enjoy.

Yu Shu Xin(Yu Mei Ren), is an actress I just started watching and may have watched her in other dramas but Love between Fairy and The Devil is where I noticed her talented acting. The only thing about this drama is why I dropped a point off the storyline because the producers or screenwriters had her acting like a child continuously and I know from watching Love between Fairy and the Devil, I believe that is not her. I don't know why they made her look like her character was a spoiled child. I still gave it a 10 because I know that both main leads have great talent. Wow both are beautiful looking! Thanking all the other actors/actresses on the set and the team. I felt like Episode 35 was not the end. I wanted to see more. I am going to rewatch this again, one day.

THIS IS DEFINITELY ONE OF MY FAVS.I’ve watched too many dramas to even count and this one is one that sticks to my brain. The FL is so cute and not stupid and the ML is soo fine and so smart. It’s so adorable without getting boring like other dramas. It’s a light watch but not boring at all. I definitely recommend this + it’s a happy ending

If it wasn’t for the second lead story, this would be a 5/5 stars. They just took up too much space to be honest, and it was very annoying. The main couple were chef’s kiss though! I loved them: they were fun, cute and entertaining to watch and especially in the last episode… sigh… I nearly shed a tear, too cute (yes, despite Esther Yu’s baby voice, you get used to it… why her character had to act like a child sometimes… that’s something else). Anyway, now I lowkey want a botany professor who likes no one but me. FL&ML love story is so adorable so heartfelt and so lovey dovey. My teeth ache becoz it too sweet I simply cannot 'tahan'. I totally can relate and find myself smilling shyly in between their cute scene. Then best romance scene form Zhang Bibin so far. I personaly think, his acting skill is much² better here than Here We Meet Again.However SML &SFLM story was taking so much airing time and make the whole series felt draggy. Im not rooting for them at all and keep on skipping their scene.

A bumpy ride for me
Copied from my Viki account:This series was overall just okay. The acting was excellent in many areas. I thought Esther Yu shined the brightest when she got to play the comedy up for her character. Vin Zhang seemed to be genuinely holding back laughter in some parts. However, the storyline and themes were a bit disorganized. The set up was kind of messy and unclear, which I'm sure is in part because some things seemed to be lost in translation. It hit a bit more of a stride toward the middle, though. It was stronger when it focused more on topical issues of beauty, intelligence, and the unfair standards and assumptions people can make about others—especially women. I felt like the narrative romance between the two main characters would have been stronger if the series focused in more on those issues as they related to Yu Meiran. They should have let Vin Zhang's character be more fallible in this respect to make the overall message stronger. Basically a missed opportunity.
But I think C-Dramas tend to suffer from these binary gender assumptions/roles a lot; there's an effort to challenge it, but so many times the writing falls back on this idea that 'men are smart and strong. women are dumb and weak'. Seriously, if I had a dollar for every time I heard a character say 'women are this way and men are this way'.... And even if you do have a 'smart and strong' female character, they become 'maiden-ized' to give the male lead opportunity to play his role as the chivalrous romantic partner. That's when I think they take an interesting premise and interesting characters and make it boring and lose the plot.

Too Youthful
This show is pretty good, and romantic. It shows everything you want in a normal Chinese drama about older characters. But, because the character are in their late 20s/early 30s, I thought it would be more mature. It was aimed for people around my age, late teens/early 20s, and it was shown in the characters' personalities. But towards the end, there was some character development and the characters became more mature and relatable. I would definitely suggest this show to someone who likes high school and college dramas.The music, however, was very good, I have already downloaded the soundtrack. I always look for a catchy or tear jerky soundtrack, and this was both, 10/10!
I give it a 7.0 as the overall score.
