Couldn't stand it
I started watching it because of the rating, reviews and I had liked Moonlight, so I figured I can watch another show with Esther Yu in it. I couldn't stand it. What's up with the whole baby talk all the time. It was unbearable and annoying. Esther made everyone else's acting look better just by being there in the frame and that's how bad it was. I dropped it and decided reality show drama is much better than this.Was this review helpful to you?

Simple cute fluffy romanceYou can never get enough of such.
Solid acting
A difference from the usual bossy overbearing harrassing male lead with power dynamics to the female.
Breathe of fresh air for a charming guy though aloof that actually is portrayed like a gentleman
And a smart female lead playing dumb so as to get revenge on the guy who once rejected her.
More of a binging show so i advice to wait till its done, unfortunately for me.
But i will be seated as it updates

Love this drama
I am enjoying this drama so far especially because of the ML and FL acting and chemistry. I like the storyline and how they both bring the screen to real life… I love FL adorable presents…. I can easy follow the character and story buildup compared to other dramas… looking forward to more of this adorable couples story as they fall in love… I am also enjoying the funny ? momentsThe FL and ML are a perfect couple. The ML will warm up and fall head over heals with the FL. He is just inexperienced and only know science until the FL opens his heart.
Also, like the 2nd couple as well so far…

Lead Girl kinda....
one thing i want to say the lead star voice is so annoying and her role kinda irritated.... but i think the series is good... have to finish it but im sorry but whenever the lead girl talks irritated me.... why does all girl in Chinese voice like that... irritating!!!!i hope they improve the way talk and their tone of voice kinda crazy!!!!
i hope it wont regret watching this!!!!

I love Zhang Binbin but this drama is not for me. The FL makes me cringe...
I came to love Zhang Binbin through Song of the Moon which this was the drama I just finished watching and I love his acting in that drama (Song of the Moon), so I thought I might give this drama "A romance of the little forest" a go because Zhang Binbin is in this one too.To be honest, I really tried to give this drama a chance. I stopped and get back into it and stopped again and got back into it, but it just didn't have that same magnetic pull that I felt when I watched Song of the Moon.
I mean I am into romance genres and an online friend recommended this drama to me saying it is similar to You are my Glory, while I do see the similarities but I cannot stand the Female Lead in this drama...
The Female lead Yu Mei Ren (played by Esther) is too much an off-putting for me.... She is so superficial and exaggerates that made me facepalm when she's on the screen... Like I really just want her to be herself and let him see the real her. The real and honest her...
The way how she acts "cute" in front of him is not cute to me but instead, that just makes it off putting...
Honestly, while a pairing chemistry is subjective from people to people on how they feel about the pairing, but for me, from the episodes I've seen I don't see the chemistry between them. It just felt awkward to me and I didn't like that she lied to her parents and said that Zhuang Yu(played by Zhang Binbin) is her boyfriend when they are not... and their parents is too annoying too with how they tried to pry into someone privacy even when it was just a guess that the mother thought Zhaung Yu is their daughter "boyfriend" when he is not yet....
Anyways I don't think I will continue it..I want to write a review about my honest opinions. Such a shame because I thought I might like this one also.... I keep putting it on hold so I know this drama isn't the one for me... Oh well..... Time to watch some other dramas that is worth my time.
Once again I love Zhang Binbin but Esther role in her character is really off putting for me so can't stick to it... It is to the point that made me cringe at her character (omg)

Watched 2 episodes and dropping it
It is way too boring. I really like the actress in Love Between Devil and Fairy so it's not her. There is just no chemistry between them or else it's due to the plot and writing. Was looking for a good modern drama and unfortunately this turned out to be a disappointment.The name of the series is great. Very enchanting name and they definitely had the talent. But somehow just no chemistry anywhere.
Could not go beyond episode 2 before I just gave up.
Argh... why does reviews have to 500 words or more. Just ridiculous. Anyways, I guess I could talk more about the characters. I did not feel attraction to any of the characters. The main female lead, she played the same type of character as other shows she's been in. Nothing terribly bad or anything. Just pacing and plot was very weak and same with dialogues.

Typical Cliche scenario
I tend to give dramas a chance (One episode) then decide to watch or drop it ... unfortunately "A Romance of the Little Forest"didn't pass that chance; this story isn't for me
<< through the whole 1st Ep I was checking how many minutes left .. and that's not a good thing!
I gave it another chance for Esther and watched the 2nd episode .. skipped some parts; didn't grab my attention!

In my opinion It's a cheesy story,, the Idea of approaching someone who called U idiot and rejected you is annoying by itself + the cringe cuteness of Yu Meiren's character is annoying .. seriously that can't be the personality of someone with a PhD certificate!
I accepted her cuteness as XLH in CLJ because it really suited the role and didn't feel cringe, it was normal.. in fact I liked her but NOT in this role!
Also the ML has no Charisma around him IDK what she saw in him he looks like a boring geek ( i am talking about the character!) + he is so full of himself ... talking like he could save the world! ugh
if they end up together (which I know they would) it will be the stupidest thing , generally speaking.. she should have respect for herself and just move-on find someone better!
I feel that it'll be the Typical Cliche scenario, she tries to take revenge by fooling him to fall for her; then ends up falling for him herself ... if you are into these kind of plots, give it a chance and judge for yourself!
This plot isn't entertaining for me .. I'm sick of this kind of stupid revenge .. reminded me of a trashy thai drama I regret watching .. however I'm sure this will be better than that one but not for me ..

A Romance of the Little Forest salah satu drama China terbaru yang dibintangi Esther Yu atau Yu Shu Yin dan Zhang Bin Bin atau Vin Zhang. Drama bergenre romantis komedi ini tayang sejak 15 September lalu.
Seperti judulnya, drama tersebut mengusung kisah dan karakter yang berbeda dari drama modern pada umumnya. Yu Mei Ren (Esther Yu) merupakan lulusan Jurusan Ornitologi, ilmu cabang Zoologi yang khusus memperlajari burung. Sedangkan Zhuang Yu (Zhang Bin Bin) lulus dan menjadi profesor di bidang Botani.
Keduanya sempat bertemu saat masih kuliah dan membuat Yu Mei Ren jatuh hati. Sayangnya, kisah cintanya berliku dan tak semudah yang kamu bayangkan.
Kisah romantisnya bikin penasaran, berikut sejumlah alasan yang bisa bikin mau semakin tertarik untuk nonton CDrama A Romance of the Little Forest.
1. Berkisah tentang kegigihan meraih cinta dan cita-cita
Seperti yang dijelaskan sebelumnya, Yu Mei Ren memiliki rasa cinta yang lebih dari sekadar teman terhadap Zhuang Yu. Semasa kuliah, Yu Mei Ren merasa bahwa cintanya bertepuk sebelah tangan. Yap, Zhuang Yu tidak menanggapi perasaannya karena memang fokus terhadap studi yang tengah dijalani.
Sekian waktu berlalu, keduanya sempat berpisah setelah lulus. Namun, dipertemukan kembali saat Yu Mei Ren melakukan syuting iklan produk kecantikan di universitasnya dulu. Di sanalah ia bertemu kembali dengan Zhuang Yu yang sudah menjadi profesor di bidang Botani.
Meski sempat mengelak bahwa tidak lagi jatuh cinta dengan Zhuang Yu, nyatanya Yu Mei Ren justru gigih memperjuangkan cintanya. Ia membantu penelitian Zhuang Yu dan gencar mendekatinya. Sedangkan Yu Mei Ren tetap mempertahankan profesinya sebagai fashion blogger.
Di balik kisah cinta tersebut, Keduanya saling mendukung profesi satu sama lain. Tujuan mereka serupa, membangun negara dan kampung halaman.
2. Chemistry Esther Yu dan Vin Zhang bisa bikin penonton baper
Zhuang Yu dikenal sebagai sosok yang serius dan fokus pada penelitiannya supaya dapat berkontribusi terhadap kemajuan China, terutama di bidang Botani. Berkat keseriusannya, seolah ia mengabaikan percintaan dan deretan perempuan yang tertarik padanya.
Sikapnya yang dingin dan serius bertolak belakang dengan Yu Mei Ren yang ceria. Sosok Yu Mei Ren seolah memberikan warna baru meski kadang cukup menyebalkan bagi Zhuang Yu. Kehadiran Yu Mei Ren gak hanya membantu untuk penelitian, tetapi juga hangatnya cinta.
Karakter yang bertolak belakang justru membuat keduanya semakin dekat. Yu Mei Ren selalu ekspresif dan menunjukkan sisi imut serta manjanya. Sedangkan Zhuang Yu, sebenarnya perhatian dan peduli, tapi tidak terang-terangan.
Vin Zhang dan Esther Yu mampu memerankan karakter dalam drama dengan baik. Sejumlah cuplikan di belakang layar juga menunjukkan kedekatan mereka. Gak heran kalau chemistry-nya dapat banget saat di drama

PORQUE VER ESTE DRAMA
A pesar de ser un drama con bastantes capitulos, vale totalmente la pena.Los actores actuan de forma madura y enfrentan sus problemas. Toca temas muy controversiales y cliches pero de todas maneras es muy entretenido de ver. Hay amor en el aire con este drama, el OST es completamente pegajoso al terminar la serie ya sabía hablar chino solo por la canción. Los papas siempre apoyan en todo así que no hay problemas con terceros. La segunda pareja también es muy linda y actuan de manera madura, ya que en la historia todos tienen entre 26 a 29 años.

Comedia recomendable, la pareja protagonista de lujo
Me ha encantado esta comedia y recomiendo verla, no te vas a arrepentir, aunque con algunas objeciones y consejos.Vin Zhang y Tu Shuxin están para comérselos. Llenos de ternura, energía, química y amor. Él me parece tan carismático que solo verle y ver su sonrisa y expresiones me enamora. Y oír la risa de Ella da un chute de energía. Música pegadiza, paisajes y fotografía de ensueño. Hasta la ropa de ellos es maravillosa.
Ahora empieza la crítica. Demasiados episodios, por lo tanto hay un relleno y alargamiento de la trama innecesario. Hay muchas escenas cortadas y editadas, de tal manera que hay reacciones que no se entienden bien porque faltan minutos, acciones y besos, que te sacan del contexto y aunque esté bien montado se nota que falta algo esencial. Y cómo han rellenado todo ese tiempo "robado" a ML/FL pues regalando minutos y minutos a la segunda pareja, que sinceramente, no interesan en absoluto. Ni química, ni física, ni chicha ni limoná. Como resultado he visto la serie con el mando en la mano avanzando cada vez que salían ellos como pareja. Cuando salen a nivel individual estaban bien, porque daban muy buenos consejos y apoyo a FL.
Como resumen diré que podía haber sido una serie redonda pero los guionistas o quien decide estas cosas la ha dejado con aristas sin sentido.

Drama zum Verlieben
Dieses Drama ist nicht so anerkannt, aber es ist das Drama mit dem besten Drehbuch, dass ich kenne, und mit einer sehr logischen Handlungsfolge. Die Schnittführung, das Schauspiel und die Liebe zum Detail machen es absolut sehenswert. Die Musik, die Drehorte und das Tempo stimmen.Einige Passagen müssen auch wiederholt werden, weil viele Feinheiten und Sinnbilder etwas versteckt sind. Das zweite Paar ist sehr bodenständig und bremst das Tempo. Das ist eventuell ein Punkt Abzug für viele Zuschauer.
