A Love Triangle Between Two People
FALL IN LOVE was a short and cute romantic Cdrama with an interesting premise and likeable characters. Joey Chua playing Jing Zhi Xia, as Aizhe Hotel Director, was especially cute and memorable and in my opinion easily outshines her romantic love interest, the cold CEO of Fu Group, Fu Ze Yi, played by Kaizhong Xiao, who at times felt a bit (intentionally) bland, especially when in character of Fu Ze Yi, as opposed to Fu Zu Lin "Lin", his sweet musical alter ego. Of course, this was purposeful and I understand the reasoning behind it given the story. However, he eventually grew on me by the end and he did a good job of portraying dual character personalities, I must say.The underlying story itself, however, was interesting. A love triangle between two people, is not something commonly thought of, but is what makes this series intriguing. While covering some underlining darker themes, (i.e. Trauma, repressed guilt, mental health etc.) the story is fairly light, comical and too often veers into predictable trope territory, which made the show less enjoyable for me. The darker elements were only rarely touched upon, not until the ending segment, while the cheesier trope scenes consist of much overused dramatic moments such as the male lead catching the female mid fall, right before she hits the ground or accidentally falling into a kiss, which to me felt outdated and corny. This series could have easily done without those overwrought scenes. The story concept, however, was brilliant and compelling, even if the handling of it wasn't always done perfectly, though the series definitely got better and more exciting as it progresses. So I recommend patience.
Otherwise, this was a fun little show. Something light hearted to watch between more stressful serious shows. Worth a chance, but nothing overly groundbreaking. The buildup and ending was very satisfying and there definitely were some scenes that were really clever and well imagined.

A lighthearted romantic story.
Considering the main premise in this script (dissosiative order), it could have been heavy to consume.I would rather say it is not very serious, but more of a light-hearted take on it.
There are some funny scenes, and some sweet moments, but it isn't a very memorable series.
A few holes in the story, or just poor translation (English) - especially in the second last episode (I watched this on Viki).

Mindless Fluff.
‘Suspension of disbelief’ is a strong factor required to watch this drama – and once you've done it, this is quite enjoyable despite it having an absurd story.A hotel heiress, Jin Zhi Xia, travels abroad and stumbles upon a soothing musician, Lin, whom she immediately falls for. She tells him about enjoying life as if there was no tomorrow and this is exactly what she does – throw herself into apparently a week/month old relationship which comes to and ugly end. The man in question disappears before she can find out her answers.
After an year of fruitless search, she finds him again as a completely new Fu Ze Yi, who has no memories about their encounter. What's more? He was a ruthless opponent who was attempting to buy her hotel, Aizhe, to expand his company.
The Characters:
Together with her cousin, Jin Bu Fan, and her uncle, the trio were some of the most hilarious characters I've seen in such an idol drama. Not only where they the least brightest individuals in the room, they were also comedic and innocent at the most unexpected times. [Someone commended on YT that the drama should be retitled as ‘three idiots run a hotel’, and the more I watched, the more I began to see why one would think so. Both the uncle and Zhi Xia kept making mistake after mistake, possibly because they underestimated who they were dealing with.]
EP12's hospital scene will always be memorable to me due to the sheer hilarity of the situation coupled with the neat acting. Joey Chua was really good.
Though not exactly the best, I have to give credits to the actor who played Fu Ze Yi and Lin - his eyes somehow appeared soft as Lin, and sharper as Fu Ze Yi .
Bonus points to this drama for making me look up Dissociative Identity Disorder – I've heard about it since long, but it turns out that some of the depictions, though over the top, where definitely in line with it. [Conversations with alternate identity, temporary amnesia, etc.]
All in all, a small cookie that can be eaten as a snack. Not deep, just pure entertainment.

Low rating due to acting
The story is good and some parts of the acting in the scenes better yet if the director pushed them more in there acting this could be much more appreciated. Like the others who saw this I know now why it was given a low rating and others gave it a high rating. It was worth watching but when you are so used to dramas that are extremely great you would really give this a low rating due to the acting. Still if you want to try watching it the story is good enough for the time you spent. The wardrobe as well is a bit reused probably due to low cost production. The part where its sometimes it has to be funny becomes a bit overwhelming it doesn't fit the right way it’s supposed to be.Was this review helpful to you?
A difficult relationship status
I just finished this Chinese drama and I thought it was a nice Chinese drama, but I didn't find the last 2 episodes that interesting. but I do recommend checking it out. so if you have time and you're up for a difficult relationship status, I definitely recommend this Chinese drama. Each episode lasts about 40 minutes, which isn't too bad. I was able to finish this Chinese drama in 3 days. I also feel sad for Lin, but I don't know why. I wouldn't watch this drama for a second time. That's why I give this Chinese drama a 6.5 out of 10Was this review helpful to you?

SML syndrome hits hard for Lin
It's a good rom-com if you want to kill time.SML (Lin) & the FL is the main attraction for me. He's charming & sweet. FL is adorable and I liked her acting during all the times she rejected ML.
About the story, it's nothing special but definitely not draggy. I mostly skipped scenes for second couple. There are plenty of steamy kisses and 2 bed scenes between the main couple. Personally, I felt a heartbreak for Lin throughout the drama.
Good thing is, FL is not a Cinderella but a materialistic rich girl. There's a scene where ML jumps into swimming pool to collect money. She and father shouts be careful. But her dialogue is followed by "Collect all the money"
I felt justice when ML suffered. Why? I hate his evil personality. In the beginning when he demolished the orphanage & cut all the trees, I felt disgusted by a C-drama ML for the first time. He's character is just overly bossy and it annoyed me. He fell to the point of collaborating with female antagonist to stimulate/test if FL loves him or Lin. The stimulation went up to selecting wedding dress, exchanging rings.
But I must admit, Xiao Kai Zhong's acting as two distinct personas is really impressive.
The ost have eng lyrics/subs in drama so it like a cherry on top.

Just feels icky to watch
I became a fan of Kevin Xiao's after watching Falling Into Your Smile and was really excited when I saw that he was leading a modern romance drama. I love modern romances no matter how cringey or corny they are, but this one was just intolerable. The story, writing, and production are all pretty low budget. I think they could've made it work if they invested more money and time into the script. The female lead is nonstop taken advantage of and it makes me feel so icky. Also, she was completely at the mercy of the male lead and none of her decisions were beneficial for herself. The characters are essentially caricatures of tropes with no depth. I guess I could see how this could be a guilty pleasure for some but to be frank, there's a lot of better dramas out there. The acting was just okay, I really think the actors deserved a better production than this. Was this review helpful to you?
