I confess that I tried to watch this drama several times and didn't get past the first episode, but I saw so many positive comments that I insisted on watching it.

The first episode really isn't very good, it doesn't hold you back, but this drama is a box of surprises, it improves with each episode and improves a lot, the closer it gets to the end the better it gets, so much so that you think "wow, what a good drama How have I not watched this before?"

Regarding the actors, you fall in love with each one of them, the main ones are wonderful and the secondary ones too.

The story is very well put together, even the flashbacks to the past fit perfectly with the time and the story of the drama, and at no point do you lose interest in the story or it becomes tiring.

Final:
And the ending folks?, what a wonderful ending, that ending that makes you sigh, this drama was beautiful and I'm still completely in love with it!

One of the best Kdrama that you shouldn't miss

Among some of those boring dramas there isn't any boring parts at all, the story flows and I kept attaching to the story cause it's getting interesting in each episode, But you'll find Episode 2 & 3 somewhat boring parts then when the Episode 4 start with a mystery about their past life that the both of them didn't aware but keep having dreams about them, that's the point where the Drama getting start more and more interesting. Starting from Episode 4 you won't be able to drop it until you finished it.
At the end from time to time you'll get your curiosity on a high level cause they made the story to be like that.

Romance,
it's Slow burn romance but it's flowing through the whole drama with comedy , fantasy and their past life ( past life romance - only 1 & half episodes from all 16 episodes) and the tragic fate they had to face together, and so on

About The Ending of the Drama,
it's a superb happy ending drama...

"""After an eternity, I'm with you now.
After crossing life and death, I have come next to you
It's not just a co incidence that we met like this.
To cherish each other more, the almighty might have given us another chance.
My grateful dear who joined me on to the stage called today
Are you ready... to love as much as you can and Be happy with all we've got?

THEN,
FROM NOW ON SHOWTIME!!! """""

HOPE YOU ALL WATCH THIS DRAMA........

Die Die Must Watch once in your lifetime

At first, the story is about a magician and his magic tricks. As the story unfolds, at the end we realised the REAL MAGIC is the message of LOVE CONQUERS ALL.

it is the magic LOVE miracle that binds the hearts of CCW and Seul Hae from past life to this life, the love so strong that they will sacrifice their life for each other without hesitation.
It is the magic LOVE potion that links CCW with the ghosts where even as a nasty mean boss he loves his ghost employees so much that he provides for their needs, right up till the end.
It is the magic LOVE cord that brought the three ghosts to return as deities (disguised as elderlies) to save their boss at his weakest moment.

"you weren't reborn to atone for your sins, but to love with all your might; that's what I prayed for"

"My grateful dear who joined me on stage called today. Are you ready to love as much as you can and be happy with all we've got? Then from now on, Showtime!"

Beautiful in awe. May we all experience this magic.

Superb acting from the casts, especially Park haejin and Jin kijoo

Fresh kdrama

Looking from the title, it's like a kshow, so lots might just let it pass your page without considering it. However, this drama is more than what you think it is. It got mixed of genres with sprinkled romance, comedy, crime, life stories, and catchy songs along the way. In the second half, they also included historical scenes that contain all the elements of kdrama in 1 show. I think that's what the writer intended to do. A marvelous show. The writer cleverly integrated some engineering and historical facts with the name selections and was attentive to the costume design of the historical era. Even with all the 'craziness' we laugh all the way. I love the ghosts. All are so cute, the general also. Both ML and FL have the biggest chemistry, and their interaction is so cute. I'm tired of kdrama for years now and in a drama slump. Glad I found this.

An entertaining mess

I had fun watching this, mostly because of the likable cast. The script was a total mess though. It mixed so many different elements together in a sloppy way, and it made no sense whatsoever. But I was rooting for the main characters. This is the first drama I've finished with Jin Ki Joo in a lead role, and I was impressed by her charisma. Park Hae Jin was decent too, but I wish he hadn't been made to act in such ridiculously exaggerated ways. That last episode will make you cross-eyed though. The screenwriter must have been either completely drunk on millet shell makkoli or was desperate to finish the script by the deadline. But if you just go with the flow and not think too hard about it, it'll be more enjoyable.

Magical Story with a Poetic Ending - Prime Showtime!

SHORT REVIEW

♥ Plot:
The show uses the background of past and present lives mixing in, as a haughty magician and honest policewomen join forces with ghosts to fight evils of society. With each episode you get to discover the main leads past lives, the ghosts' lives and how they overcome their regrets, deepest wishes and have a happy ending.

♥ Recommended:
Definitely worth a one-time watch if you like comedy, mystery, mythology, historical elements - all tied in a magical story and great acting!

LONG VERSION

♥ Notable Characters:
• Haughty magician ML who disregards his roots of being a shaman and employs ghosts as his apprentices for magic shows (also disregarding labor laws :P ). Over the course of the story, with help from people around him, especially the FL - he realizes his destiny, how he cannot live alone and must protect the ones he cares for.

• The FL is vivacious and honest policewoman, who is on her own revenge path, but meets the ML and his ghost apprentices - ultimately realizing how she is a part of the past life, falling in love with ML, avenging her father and continuing to help people around her. She is the moral compass which keeps this Magic Factory going in the right path.

• The Helping Ghosts & Spirits: Initially provide a comedic relief and bring the ML and FL closer, but overtime, we see their own stories, their own desires and the unfair hand they were dealt. But in spite of that they did not resent their fate, but chose to rise above it and truly attained Nirvana.

Special mention of Ah Reum - she herself was shown to be specially abled in her life, and so thought to help people around her as she got help when she was alive. Alas, her death was unfortunate, yet she does not resent any of it - instead chooses to help people as ghost and as her last wish!

♥ Random Notes:
• I always wanted to see PHJ in action, always knowing he is a good actor but dropped the idea after seeing him in Cheese in The Trap (blame the story execution). Finally glad that I watched this drama and saw his acting skills.
• Love Jin Ki Joo - beautiful and what an amazing actress. Other recommendation: The Secret Life of My Secretary, Midnight
• I saw Jung Joon Ho, first and last in True Beauty as father of the ML, and that was nothing in comparison the great actor he is.

it's a must watch!

Honestly, it's one of the funniest kdramas I have ever watched and I've watched a lot of them, trust me hahaha actors are just amazing and it's not boring or annoying at all. Really really recommend ❤️🥰 also I love the ost of this kdrama and of course, Park Haejoon and Ko Kyupil are my absolute favorites here (❁´◡`❁) You'll get surprised by every episode because there's always something unexpected going on. I have watched only 8 episodes and I'm totally in love, I was amazed by this kdrama from the first episode actually haha

Simply MAGICAL!

Super creative plot, I've not seen anything quite like this.

I LOVE every part of this drama. It got me hooked right on episode 1!

It's really funny, entertaining and meaningful at same time.

I love how creative the plot is, definitely a gem within the fantasy genre in K-drama. I love how it's not scary too.

I love fantasy but sometimes couldn't stomach the horror portion. I am glad this show is filled with plenty of fantasy yet not scary.

Oh, needless to say, the ML nailed it totally!

A great script !

An excellent screenplay, which renews the traditional frame of Korean Drama. A single series but three times, quite original gags, astonishing turnarounds most often, a real surprise and a treat! Congratulations to Ha Yoon Ah, the screenwriter! As the comments say, a few nods to well-known dramas, notably Goblin, but while renewing expectations and situations. It's nice to be surprised by this scenario! Special mention to the cast, the actors are great, especially the two main actors. Their emotions know how to touch us and cross us. I would have put 12 stars, this show joins Kim Eun Sook's excellent dramas in my list! That's an understatement. It is a pity that with only 3 to 4% of the audience (source Wikipedia) when it was first released on television, this show did not garner more attention from the public. If you like well-crafted Drama scenarios, don't miss it!

started out strong but fell apart in last few episodes

Story started out really well apart from some FL character execution, but after like 3 episodes that was no longer the issue. We had very interesting and intriguing story with each episode that were highly binge able but then in the last 6 episodes it all kinda went downhill.

We had 2 episodes with draged out back stories in completly different setting followed up by not engaging and dragged out plot. Also many stuff happen just because they have to happen and suddenly most people just became dumb and ignore stuff so villain can do its thing for the plot to happen, even tho before they were sharp af and solved cases.

It was just disappointed execution towards the end if you cared for the main plot. Leads chemistry is great and side characters carry the show so that kinda saved it all.

Love Park Hae Jin and the Magic Factory - but the drama fails to excite me.

Completed - 6/23/2022 - 8.25 rounding up to 8.5

This is the third Korean fantasy-romance drama that I watched this month after "Tomorrow" and "A Korean Odyssey". And this drama reminded me of them both, yet it falls short in holding my attention and excitement in comparison to "A Korean Odyssey". There have been many dramas about shamanism + historical pasts, but what sets this drama apart is our star magician, Cha Cha Woong. His larger-than-life personality and showmanship, in addition to his little helpers, are the stars of the show. I don't find any major flaws in this drama, yet upon completion, it doesn't give me the gut feeling of rating this higher than 8.25 (B).

It's great to see Park Hae Jin again after his other not-so-great drama "Forest" (though he was super handsome in it). He was absolutely fantastic as Cha Cha Woong. It's hard to be over-the-top, egoistic and arrogant without being unlikeable and annoying. It's no surprise that we will see how CCW evolves into a better human being by the end of the drama. The transformation is natural, though predictable. Park Hae Jin is able to convey quite a wide range of emotions throughout the drama.

The Magic Factory's employees are so fun to watch. I like their love-hate relationship with CCW and their individual stories. I just wish their stories are more developed throughout the 16 episodes, and not confined to the last few. The scenes of Kpop fan General Choi are so funny. I wonder how long Jung Joon Ho practices Aris' dance moves. The behind-the-scene magic shows are the highlights for me and it's unfortunate after wow-ing us in the first couple episodes, we don't see more of them later.

It took me a couple episodes to start liking our female lead, and I don't think it's Jin Ki Joo's acting. I totally did not recognize her as the female lead in "Come and Hug Me". We do see her character mellows out after a strong and in-your-face introduction. I do like a kickass policewoman who can throw you over her shoulders. Her acting is pretty good, but just not at the level of Park Hae Jin.

I enjoyed the chemistry between the leads when they are partners than when they officially get together. The progression from misunderstanding --> unwilling partners --> friends --> falling in love, is natural and done well. Unfortunately, they got together quite late and the episodes of the sweet couple are cringey. There's just not enough time left by then as the drama needs to quickly turn its focus back to the main plot of dealing with the evil spirit.

The historical aspects of the drama was mainly concentrated on one or two episodes with quick dream sequences and flashbacks here and there. I would have liked to see better storytelling of the past to be intertwined with the present-day storyline.

Overall, I can see why many people love this drama. It just fails to move me or excite/surprise me, unfortunately.

Started with Angst but finished pretty well

I picked up this drama because my sister said it was good and it had high ratings. I haven’t seen a drama with Park Hae Jin since Cheese in the Trap (still a fan) and I forgot how much I loved him.

I will admit the first 4ish episodes were hard for me to get through. You really had to go through the hardships and angst between the main leads. I know this an enemy to friends to lovers relationship but wow, they really put you through a lot between them.

What I liked most about the drama is cute banter and hilarious comedy. Some physical comedy can come off as awkward or forced but I laughed pretty hard at a lot of moments in this one. I also liked that they kept that tone throughout the series. I’m not a fan when dramas kind of drop the comedy mid-way through.

This is a first drama for me with a magical element with cop duo and I probably wouldn’t have picked it up if it wasn’t for the recommendation. To my surprise it all worked out. The chemistry between the leads was fairly good. I thought the FL cried a bit too much for my taste, but her tears were really good!

I liked the soundtrack and overall the story flowed for me. I liked the side stories and the back stories, if anything the drama really knows how to develop its characters.

Overall, not a bad drama to pass the time.
