Just A Really Good Series
I liked this show a lot. I am sure I will rewatch someday.This show may not be everyone's cup of tea.. you might view the one boyfriend as weak and spoiled, however, after watching a few episodes, he began to grow on me. After several episodes about his life and again towards the end of the series, we find out why he behaves the way he does, which made me love him, feel sorry for him, and understand him. A good actor.
The other male lead is a very good actor as well. He is the exact opposite of his boyfriend, which makes them seem like an unlikely couple, but even in real life couples often seem mismatched.
The story is long and that's good because it takes a while to put all the pieces together. The Basketball Scenes are also well done.
What I really could not get into were the scenes that were supposed to be steamy - they were overplayed and fake. Some of the just kissing scenes were better.

Stand alone in the Mame Universe
Whatever you think… Like or dislike about Tharntype… I feel like the way this was produced made it a standalone in the BL universe or more importantly in the Mame universe. I think it gave the viewer a chance to get to know Fiat apart from that slightly detestable character that we got to know in Tharntype “part two”.I think what can be appreciated here was the fact that Fiat and Leo were friends for a very long time before they became boyfriends. It was well-established that they had a long-standing relationship and Fiat really depended on Leo, which you had a glimpse of in Tharntype but you could see why depended on him so much after the very abusive relationship with his mother. It also explained his slightly promiscuous lifestyle. I think it was his way of seeking love, because his mom basically taught him that nobody could love him except for her. And when she left he didn’t think there was anybody that would be able to love him. Warped for sure.
I definitely noticed an improvement in the acting this time around. The chemistry was definitely there between the actors playing Fiat and Leo. Especially in the love scenes and the kissing. Was there room for improvement? Yes, for sure. But definitely more chemistry than most BL‘s that I see. I didn’t feel that with the second couple, Leon and Pob. I felt they were a waste of time, frankly.
Overall the true treasures in this whole drama were Leo’s mom and the girl friends. His mom, and even his dad, were so accepting of the relationship. The mom was awesome! She really loved Fiat like a son, even more than her actual sons. LOL …and the girl friends of Leo and Fiat (I can’t recall their names now!) were super supportive and didn’t run to stupid stereotypes.
For the haters of Mame out there… I really don’t know what to say… I feel like she has a certain audience within this genre and if you don’t like her style of writing and this style of BL, then don’t read it and don’t watch it. It’s not going to be your type of thing and it’s not going to interest you. So stop criticizing it or stop watching it. Is not going to make you happy and you are just going to find things to nitpick about it. Yes there are going to be controversial things about it. There are going to be politically incorrect things about it. There are going to be things that are going to be raw and things that are going to trigger you. Not everything is going to be safe and rainbows and roses all the time. There will even be toxic crap. But that is life and that is part of the reading and TV watching experience. The key is if there is a message or something learned from it at the end. And I think that usually there is with her writing. It’s not always perfectly done, true. But some of that is probably lost in translation. Literally.

honestly wasnt as bad as what people said
im gnna start this review by saying , i didnt watch tharntype at all so i went into this as fresh as i could ever be HAHAH!! THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION WHICH COULD VERY MUCH DIFFER FROM YOUR OWN SO PLEASE DONT COME AT ME ;-; !!
GOOD POINTS:
- the actors
i've watched a fair amount of bls (esp thai) i felt that the casting for this show was done pretty well ! i really liked the chemistry between ja and first and also between smart and james ! the side characters all played a relatively good job too !
since i've not seen any of these actors prior to this series , and from their mdl profiles they are mostly all newbies ,, i think that they portrayed their roles well ! sure its not perfect and there are some scenes where i think it could have been done abit better but nonetheless not too bad !
- the side couple
smart and james really mmm i loved their chemistry and their side story but i think that the writer could have HANDLED THE DAMN ENDING BETTER FFS DJDNDN ,,,, both are new actors and as i've mentioned i was able to feel their emotions well and i thoroughly cried along with them :(
- their parents ! (excluding fiat's real mom )
okay lemme just say i love leo's parents sndndn especially leo's mom 10/10 love her heheh i'll say its one of the least toxic families and it was cute how their mother was shipping them hehe
oKay so honestly i couldn't really think of any significant bad points for this rn ( its like 3am rn so i'm kinda dead ) but honestly all i can say is that take this show or any bls especially with a grain of salt. don't take it so seriously,,, i mean sure there were parts where i just wanted to murder someone ( cough fiat's real mom ) but other than that i think as long as you don't think too much about what you're watching it should be a fairly enjoyable series !
LASTLY , i'm gonna end this saying , if you're still on the fence on whether you shld watch dsn i say just go for it ! i really don't understand why it's receiving so much hate >< its a pretty okay series for me , not exceptionally good but not TERRIBLY bad either ! coming from someone who hasn't / cannot for the life of me stand tharntype ( i never got past ep 1 :/ ) i can safely say you can watch this if you've never watched tt and i actually liked this more than tt ! i'll suggest watching the bridging eps though ! it'll help you understand some of the stuff they're talking abt !
would i recommend ppl to watch this - YES OFC JUST GO FOR IT BESTIE ! its definitely not as bad as what ppl are commenting for sure -

couldn't even make it past the 10 minute mark
This franchise is horrible. Like out of the year I've been watching dramas/bls, I've never seen such a failure of a series franchise than TharnType/Don't Say No.First, lets begin with how this series was supposed to elaborate further on Fiat/Leo, but it starts off with them becoming a couple. That doesn't even mesh with the literal summary of the show, which was the reason why I started watching it in the first place. Second.... all I have to say is that love island ass music and cringeworthy drive up scene at the beginning of the episode.
This series causes me so much embarrassment but at least if it was done well I would be able to tolerate it. The writers need to be fired.
Rating the acting 1 star because I feel bad for the cast.

Maganda yung story nya may twist and di lang puro mukbangan yung makikita mo sa series na ito syempre may lesson din tayong matututunan dito kumbaga mahalin mo yung taong totoong nagmamahal sayo lalo kung pamilya mo kasi pag di mo yun nagawa sa buong buhay mo tandaan mo habang buhay mo itong pagsisihan.Tandaan mo may nagmamahal sayo pero di mo makita o maramdaman kasi ayaw mong maramdaman at ayaw mo ring magmahal pero habang nabubuhay ka kailangan mong buksan ang puso mo sa taong nagmamahal sayo ng totoo.
Kaya LIKE ko itong series na ito, di lang puro mukbangan syempre may aral din tayong matutunan lalo na pag family ang pinaguusapan.

Grosse décéption
Bon, je vais être claire dès le début, je n'ai pas aimé ce BL. J'étais anxieuse à la commencer, je n'avais pas aimé le personnage joué par First dans Tharntype, mais je me suis lancée. La seule chose de positive que je garde : l'alchimie extra entre Ja et First, ils sont adorables ensemble, mais c'est tout.L'histoire est ennuyeuse, j'ai même passé des passages par ennui. Le second couple, pas intéressant du tout, limite j'ai oublié leur histoire.
J'ai eu du mal à le finir, tellement l'histoire n'était pas intéressant, je pensais même à l'abandonner, j'ai simplement voulu le finir pour le couple principal

Reseña sencilla
Esta serie la vd que cumple con todo lit hasta me hizo llorar, 10/10, la trama a mi parecer es muy buena, la pareja principal ufff todo de ellos es muy top, el papel de la mama de Leo y Leon me encanto, gracias a los coments supe que hay episodio especial que sucede 3 años después del final que nos da la serie, que si bien no agrega mucho nos explica por asi decirlo que fue de los personajes y en general yo lo vi pq queria saber que onda con la pareja secundaria (Leon y Pob) que al final de la serie pues no quedan juntos por que el tiempo no es el indicado para ellos y la vd tengo que decirles que el especial si es muy bonito, nomas nos muestran que aun Leon y Pob coinciden en los mismos lugares pero nunca llegan a hablar pero que en teoría si se van a encontrar (esto ultimo como que te lo dice el especial mas no pasa en este) en conclusión no le puedo pedir mas a esta serie quede satisfecho en casi todos los aspectos y si me refiero Leon y Pob:)Was this review helpful to you?

Cadê meu Leon&Pob? Mame, vc prometeu!!!
Eu amo os BL' s da Mame! E esse, por ser derivado de "TharnType 2", que é uma das minhas séries favoritas já ganhou meu coração antes de começar.Antes de falar do roteiro, gostaria de falar algo sobre os dois protagonistas. O ator First é realmente um grande ator! Ele simplesmente conseguiu fazer o público esquecer todo o ódio que ele causou no fandom em TharnType e se tornou um personagem totalmente amado, e mais, fez com que uma sociedade conservadora aceitasse seu passado e sua mudança de personalidade. Esse feito sempre será lembrado por mim. O outro prota, Ja Pachara, já ganhou meu coração pela versatilidade. Eu o conheci em UWMA em um papel bem diferente, e do nada ele é um grande e sexy gostoso. Amo quando os ativos são cadelinhas dos passivos.
Sobre o roteiro: poderia ser melhor se algumas coisas fizessem mais sentido, ou tivesse explicações melhores. Eu compreendi o motivo pelo qual Leo e Fiat nunca se declararam, mesmo se amando. Ambos tinham medo de perderem um ao outro. Não entendi a postura do pai de Fiat... tem todo o drama da mãe, porém não era motivo pra ele expulsar o filho. Uma mãe como a do Léo e Leon é o sonho de todo blzeiro, que mãe incrível, aliás, que país incríveis. Os amigos então, nada menos que perfeitos. Achei meio sem noção inserirem a sirigaita no final sem nenhum contexto, pra mim era bem óbvio que era apenas um drama pra que a série não terminasse sem um problema sendo resolvido, mas não teve nem contexto para a inserção dessa garota chata. E, me desculpa Mame, mas não posso perdoar o final de Pob e Leon... assisti o EP especial imaginando que eles se reencontraram, mas não vejo lógica em criar um casal, esse casal ganhar uma fanbase, e simplesmente fazer uma separação sem lógica, já que no EP especial Pob volta, então pq não ficaram juntos???? Imaginei de imediato que era a deixa para uma próxima temporada, mas pelo tempo que faz (2021), já estou perdendo a esperança. Na maior parte do tempo o casal é muito fofo, os conflitos é que são meio sem noção na minha opinião. A série tem muitos clichês, a universidade não é o foco principal, e sim o esporte, que também é clichê, mas fica mais interessante.
Os aspectos técnicos são muito dignos. Desde atuação, ost, fotografia, cenografia, filmografia, até mesmo os plow twists meio que previsíveis, tudo é bom apesar dos pesares. Recomendo essa série, inclusive é uma das minhas preferidas. Sigo na espera de uma segunda temporada para Leon e Pob. Uma das séries que faço questão de panfletar.

Deux couples bien accordés
Sincèrement meilleur que ce à quoi je m'attendais. Après TharnType 2, je trouvais Fiat antipathique et Leo bien trop mou. Mais ça vaut le coup de donner une chance aux personnages à présent qu'ils ont un peu plus de substance.Fiat est en réalité tout à fait aimable et dévouée à Leo, il est juste brisé et a besoin d'un protecteur, d'un sauveur, ce que représente Leo ; celui-ci est un peu moins passif que dans le prologue mais j'aimerais le voir plus tranchant. Les deux acteurs forment un beau couple, leur visuel s'accordant parfaitement. Je ne m'attendais néanmoins pas à ce que leur histoire soit aussi "angsty" et les antagonistes aussi pesants.
Une chose m'a gênée par contre : Fiat passe son temps à s'excuser pour ses histoires passées, ce qu'il n'a à mon sens pas à faire. La série, l'autrice, les scénaristes ont besoin de justifier les actions du personnage, ce que je trouve non nécessaire, il ne trompe pas Leo, qu'il ait eu des relations en étant amoureux de Leo ne justifie pas le jugement déplaisant, réactionnaire, humiliant qui transparait. Un "top" n'aurait pas eu à se justifier.
Le couple secondaire est adorable, doux, drôle, harmonieux et sa présence apporte une tranquillité et une tendresse bienvenue aux moments les plus lourds. Les deux personnages sont au premier abord discordants, physiquement et psychologiquement, mais ils se complètent si bien qu'on ne peut les imaginer l'un sans l'autre. J'espère, j'espère tellement mais sans trop y croire, que Me Mind Y donnera une suite à leur histoire, je ne peux accepter qu'on en reste là.

Siento que mi puntuación sería más alta si no se ignorasen tres puntos enormes y se tomasen como zanjados solo porque Fiat y Leo saben la verdad al respecto:1.- King violó a Fiat, no hay forma de ignorar esto, pero ganan un partido y ya, todo solucionado.
2.- King drogó a Fiat, pero lo de arriba sigue aplicando, le ganan y ya ¿No existe la policía? Se supone que son ricos, tienen los medios para denunciarle por dios. Y Leo estando celoso de que Fiat 'abrazase' a King cuando OBVIAMENTE NI PODÍA MANTENER LOS OJOS ABIERTOS, LEO QUÉ TE PASABA y encima dice que no puede mirarle a la cara por eso cuando él besó dos veces a la otra loca.
3.- El peor (a mi parecer) es que Fiat simplemente perdone a su madre, vamos a ver bebé ? que tenga una enfermedad no es excusa ¿Qué es esto? La realidad es que abusó de él siendo niño y quería seguir haciéndolo de adulto ¿Y Leo aquí no pone problema para que se acerque?
De resto el drama me gustó bastante, debo admitir que también estaba embobada con lo precioso que me parece First/Fiat, pero hay momentos muy dulces y Fiat crece como personaje respecto a TharType 2, te explican por qué hizo las cosas que hizo y de dónde viene su dependencia de Leo. La escena de su cumpleaños y como todos le hacen darse cuenta de que hay gente que lo quiere y aprecia es adorable, lloré viendo eso.
La verdad es que la historia de Leon y el norecuerdosunombre me aburrió así que lo pasé.
