Includes human experiments in a lab. Both the series give off the same eerie vibes; the fear of what comes next, of the unknown; the struggle against corrupt humans and others.

A supernatural series that focuses on creatures and bizarre happenings surrounding a statue as well as folklore.

Both "Taegukgi" (2004) and "Gyeongseong Creature" (2023) are South Korean productions set against significant historical backdrops. "Taegukgi" is set during the Korean War and follows two brothers drafted into the conflict, highlighting their struggle for survival. Similarly, "Gyeongseong Creature" is set in 1945 during the Japanese occupation of Korea and features characters battling a supernatural creature born out of greed. Both stories are known for their emotional intensity, complex characters, and high-stakes action, capturing the characters' resilience and sacrifices amidst chaos and conflict.

there is a high chance that they are both like the trill drama or series based on thriller with the unknown creature that makes the series very interesting and one of the famous actor also play a role as a lead character in this series

Both series deftly combine the monster and period genres to create a high-stakes story with a nice balance of suspense, political intrigue, and action.

Not supernatural at all, but if you want to know more about Japan colonization over Korea in WWII and the consequences, Pachinko is a amazing historical drama to watch.

Both are action-packed shows set during the Japanese occupation of Korea. Both have an enjoyable romance subplot in the mist of all the fighting and killing.
Both feature badass fighter female leads.

While 'Gyeongsag creature' is more horror themed, 'Song of bandits' has a strong western vibes.
