It's a 100/10 for the friendship between Geon Woo & Woo Jin, the excellent definition of their muscles, and the red shorts. Although overall this is a very violent kdrama, the two of them brought so much warmth and humor. I loved how Geon Woo remained true to himself. I was not expecting his character to be so precious!

I watched this in two days, driven by the fast pacing and intensity. Choi Tae Ho, Hyeon Joo, Yang Jung, Doo Young, and Da Min were all so lovable. The entire cast was amazing, and Park Sung Woong plays a very formidable villain which made it a high stakes story. Although I fast-forwarded through the violence sometimes I did feel like the fights were choreographed and executed really well. The reason why my rating is lower is for two reasons:
1) It's sometimes baffling when the good guys underestimate the threat they're up against. Some of them should've known better!
2) The plot of the last two episodes was underwhelming (but bless those red shorts & training scenes). Choi Si Won's character especially felt like a missed opportunity; he really fell flat.

But overall, so glad I watched this because I'm an even bigger fan of Woo Do Hwan and Lee Sang Yi now.

I'm not one for action dramas, but this was a really good watch. There were a few things missing or a few things that happened that I felt shouldn't have and that's why I gave this a 9.5. It's super good, but not perfect.

One thing I really enjoyed were the actors. Both ML's are so good in their characters and I really started to enjoy every scene with their little family they were making. I also loved the FL and I was really disappointed when she left the series towards the end. That was one of the things I felt shouldn't have happened. It didn't really make any sense to me plot wise and although it wasn't awful without her, I just felt it didn't fit with her character and she definitely would've stuck around to avenge her grandfather as well. She spent most of her life learning this trade with him and then dips right after?

The other thing that I thought was missing is I wish we could've gotten more of the ML's real boxing matches. Just a handful would've added a lot to the story I feel instead of them just doing it the one time when they meet. I don't think it could've been used for plot any, but it would've been nice to see more of it since they rely so heavy on them being boxers.

Overall, the story was incredible and I couldn't wait to get to the end and see how they would wrap things up. The last 2-3 episodes were a little slow with getting to the climax, but it was worth it.

Good start but poor execution

At the beginning it was interesting and unique, but got meaningless towards the end. Just fights, too many, over and over and with the same outcome. The story buildup was screwed over when they suddenly decided to wipe off more than half of the characters and toss away the main female role for no reason. The male leads are hot and their acting is good, but unfortunately their characters are too naiive to the point it gets annoying. Overall in the second half the plot is very boring and monotonous, they just fight all the time and repeat the same mistakes. For some reason, at the end the main villain's actor is replaced with a double, and the ending is quite plain and weak.

I the 4 stars are for the amazing male leads and the good filming.

A very promising start that couldn't hold on until the end.

I'll try to make this my simplest review ever.

This is actually a good show; it's very easy to binge watch and the show itself is very enjoyable. These types of shows can easily reignite your interest in dramas if you haven't felt like watching any.

Things I liked:
- I liked the cast
- Comedic scenes were actually very funny
- Bromance in this drama is topnotch
- The fighting scenes were really good for the most part

Things I didn't like:
- The acting of some people kind of looked awkward. I'm pretty sure there were a few mistakes that were overlooked
- Majority of the series was fine, but towards the end, things started to go south plot-wise
- Maybe because this drama is based on a webtoon, but it kind of felt more like an anime towards the end of the series
- Again, towards the end of the drama, I felt like the writers lost their touch and became ambiguous

If I were incharge of finishing this drama, I would've gone a different route and made things a bit more interesting.

Overall, this is still a good watch and I would still recommend.

ITS PERFECT.... The action is top notch. The story is immaculate and impeccable other than the fact that they shud have shown a final scene of the girl in Italy or something. Other than that this is my new #1 show. It is a hook. If u don't watch it your missing out. Some sad moments that i was hoping would never have to come ... but then if they didnt this drama would be like the manty other cringy dramas where eveyone gets up like an immortal being after getting shot or stabbed.
Overall this is definitly worth evryones time.
Looking forward for a S2 if they make it. ?
Happy binging!

The bromance is the best part!

I just LOVED the bromance! Especially since it's between two of my favorite actors; I found myself giggling and kicking my feet whenever they had moments together. The relationship between the characters was so heartwarming. The humor was top-notch. The fighting scenes were amazing. They didn't shoe-horn romance in the middle of the story just for the sake it, which I'm really thankful for—we don't need romance in every story. Overall, it was so gripping, action-packed, and suspenful that I finished it all in one sitting! Everything about it was so perfect for me. If I had one complaint it would be to slow down the ending a little bit; it felt a little rushed, but otherwise it's an extraordinary drama.

Pretty good.

I've wanted to watch this drama forever and finally got around to it. I've grown to really like Lee Sang Yi as an actor now that I've seen quite a few things with him.

All of the acting in this drama was really good! The plot was also very interesting. I actually don't have anything bad to say about this drama; I really liked it overall. That's it-- it's a good drama, worth watching, I'd say.

Great!!

Bloodhounds was just full of action and showed a cute bromance between to hot oppars. The story was really intriguing and overall interesting. It was a clean show and showed both characters lives. Maybe not as much as Woo-jins backstory but still was a really good show. They are both dumb in their own way but their characters compliment each other greatly. The actors who played each role fit perfectly. The villains were portrayed absolutely amazingly and the heroes as well. I recommend this show 100% to people who love action and comedy.

It was so good! ((YALL HATING FOR NO REASON) (its kinda valid but idc))

I liked the plot and characters. Sometimes the story felt a bit out of place.. I really wonder what happened with their boxing stuff yk, it felt like they kinda forgot about their passion and in the end they didnt show what happened.. Anyway i would say this has one of the best duos in any series. Also i like there was no romance because sometimes it just feels out of place (in a genre like this).

Kinda odd the girl just left and never came back, probably because of the incident but still, it felt like the archery girl just replaced her (as she should)

WATCH IT THO

Entertaining Action Drama with Great Bromance

This was a well-rounded mini-series that used its eight episodes to create a well-paced action plot that was very entertaining to watch. Mini-series tend to be my favourite K-dramas because they, the good ones, excel in pacing; creating a story where we as an audience have a clear end goal that we want the main characters to achieve.

The first episode itself is gripping and had me hooked the whole time, within one episode the main characters, and great friendship, are introduced. From the get-go, I was rooting for Woo-Jin and Geon-Woo because they had personalities that complemented each others strengths well. A clear motive is even set for the main characters by the end of episode one with the main villain and company as the antagonists of the story.

When watching this show I was reminded of John Wick, and yes I am a sucker for those movies, and the fight scenes within those movies. The shifting angels and intense shift of close-up to full-length shots make the scenes very immersive and feel realistic. The boxing by both Woo-Jin and Geon-Woo felt very smooth and I was never taken out of the action scenes. Each punch and fight is strategic and effective, the two characters do not engage in unnecessary fights. The element of a logical and calculated fight made the scenes feel intense but also exciting. Throughout the drama the fights, as the main leads get stronger, also intensify and create a sense of power towards reaching the end goal of the drama.

If you're looking for a drama that has great action scenes, while also maintaining a lovely friendship that grows stronger, then this drama is perfect for you!

Amazing story and acting.

I wrote this review in response to Jeana's. Keep in mind, everyone has their own opinion, I just disagree with hers and want to share what I thought of bloodhounds so people can have 2 different point of views.

I personally really loved how bloodhounds was written. To me, it didn't give off the vibe of two wet-behind-the-ears millennials somehow defeating an all powerful mafia boss. It was so much more than that. The story included a lot of death, learning the hard way, and training for that moment. The writing showed the very real hardships of Covid-19 and what some people deal with as a result.

Bloodhounds was written beautifully and the writers, producers, and actors did an AMAZING job at making the watcher FEEL what the character was feeling. They were good at making you frustrated and upset on a character's behalf. Sometimes it made you think "Wow... This character doesn't deserve that. That's so messed up", and the writers did an amazing job at that.

Not to mention the producers did fabulous at the bloody scenes and injuries and whatnot. The fighting scenes were also amazing and sometimes made you cringe away because of how realistic it seemed. I have the utmost respect for Gunwoo and Woojin's actors because their acting was amazing and they're perfect for those roles. Not to mention the actors for Myeongil and Minbeom are amazing too. They did a great job at acting evil and messed up and scared and defeated.

Props to everyone that participated in the filming and sets and everything.

In no way shape or form do I personally believe the writing is "really fucking bad". Nor do I think there was "mindlessly idiotic decisions for the sake of conflict" or meaningless deaths. All of the deaths happened as a last resort on Myeongil's part, and they all happened as a result of something the main characters did.

I won't spoil this too much, but I don't think it's mindlessly idiotic if Gunwoo and Woojin tried taking down Smile Capital and the other guys because they ruin peoples lives. Take a look at Mr. Choi.

People are allowed to have their own opinions, but I am responding with my OWN opinion on not only what she said but everything she addressed and my opinion on the drama itself.

I also figured I'd put my review out there but ACTUALLY elaborate on my points. :)

Watch this for motivation to work out!

Good story line without crappy romance. I learnt quite a bit about how to use kitchenware as weapons.

I like that each character was given time and opportunity to develop, and those that did wrong took responsibility for their youthful misdeeds. The female characters were pretty, gritty, competent and useful. The male leads must have worked very hard to get their bodies in shape for the action scenes! I punched along the boxing scenes and enjoyed a great work out while watching the series! I’ll certain watch this series again, and very likely, again! ?
