Honestly I just started this dram with no expectations I haventttt binged any drama like I binged this one !!! Omg Im in love with the whole cast. The couple is just amazing but the 2nd lead actors/actresses did an amazinggg jobbbb. I cant believe that majority of the cast was young but they DELIVERED 💯 & did NOT Disappoint! Just watchhh itttt its just so good. Its not cheesy 🤍 made my heart flutter an unhealthy amount of times. 😭🤍Was this review helpful to you?
Such a great drama and acting
their acting is top tier very natural, and detail love the snooker scenes and skinships .the story lines is very smooth and love how lin yiyang act of language .lin yiyang is not green flags but golden forest in cdrama .FL acting is natural and doesn't need to act cute.i really love the 'bromance' friendship in this drama. the cinematography is so pretty, melodrama is not my genre but this drama makes me stuck ..every episode make me sweating. Was this review helpful to you?
=> A good Rom-Sport series focusing on billiards, with a great CL.
PLOT: ML, was a genius snooker gamer, abruptly retired 10 years ago. He now studies and lives in Finland. It was there that he met FL, a young 9-ball player, for whom he fell in love at first sight. They become closer and she tries to convince him to return to China and resume his career. That's wath they will do despite the obstacles.PROS:
+ A convincing CL, with all the green flags: trust, respect, attention, tolerance, etc. A very good performance from the 2 actors.
+ a simple but credible story, without a love triangle, without a vengeful ex, etc. Real life, what!
+ Lots of excellent, endearing actors.
+Well suited OST
+ This is a drama, supposed filmed mainly abroad, but they are some inconsistencies on the reality in Finland (does everyone speak Chinese or English? Large Chinese community in Helsinki? ...)
CONS:
- Some inconsistencies in the timeline
- We remain hooked on this series by the quality of the CL, but the story is too simple for it to always be exciting. OK, a sports career cannot be rebuilt in a day, but certain narrative arcs could have been shortened.

+ Beaucoup d'excellents acteurs, attachants.
+TB OST

Cinematography, Production and Acting makes this drama the best of 2024
beein watching this drama, and I have been obsessed with the scenes and cinematography. Usually, with cdramas once FL and ML start dating, the storyline becomes less attractive, and I usually drop it. But this drama!! despite the cheesiness and all those lovey dovey stuff, it has me watching scene by scene. And the biggest reason for this is mainly the director’s work (no I’m not dissing the scriptwriter in any way). So, for anyone who thinks is it worth watching? yes it is, but if you can’t stand too much cheesiness, then maybe you won’t like it after ep 12 lolWas this review helpful to you?

Love amidst snowstorm, billiards and naps
I've watched Wu Lei in Nothing but You and since I prefer modern romance, I was excited for this series. 'Amidst a Snowstorm of Love' was very much talked about when it was released in early 2024. I started watching this series in late October 2024 to hype myself for a trip to Chengdu (where Wu Lei grew up). Oh dear, I struggled with this series. I paused this series after episode 11 and restarted when I wanted to watch something while cutting papers for work. What I liked:
1) Bromance - I love the dynamics between Lin Yiyang, Jiang Yang and Meng Xiaodong. I was relief that there was no bitterness between Yiyang and Xiaodong despite their childhood rivalry. Yiyang - Jiang Yang interactions were also delightful to watch.
2) Acting - Standouts are Wu Lei, Chen Jing Ke and Wang Xing Yue! Wang Xing Yue carried himself very well - his character is same aged or slightly younger as Wu Lei's (27 years old at start of series) but in real life, Wang Xing Yue was only 21 years old during filming.
3) Supporting characters - I really like Wu Wei, Jiang Yang, Meng Xiao Dong, Lin Lin, Chen An An and the endearing Meng Xiao Ting.
What I disliked:
1) Yin Guo characterisation - Sadly the female lead is underdeveloped. There was no character growth - she remained childlike & naive even with 2 time jumps. She never struggled because everything was handled by Yiyang or her family.
2) The romance - Sadly it is lackluster to the point that I fast forward all Yiyang-Yin Guo scenes to 1.5x speed. I didn't buy their love because their love being developed. Yiyang was smitten at first sight of Yin Guo, which is quite unnerving because he didn't know her personality but he already falling for her [looks and childlike behaviour, I guess?]. Yiyang even admitted in episode 20-something that he had only shown the best side of him to Yin Guo but not his worst side. I also don't like that Yin Guo was coy when there was nobody around. They had already been intimate and in relationship for 1.5 - 2 years. Plus Yin Guo doesn't seem to contribute much to the relationship. I dislike her comments about Yiyang's stubble (which was hardly visible) and his image. What's with the shaving scene?
3) Writing - I haven't read the book in which this series is based on but I assume the book focused more on their romance from 2 POVs rather than individual growth and eventual romance. I think it'd be great if this series had been about a lost man reviving a career in billiards after relearning the sport from a rookie. Remove the very first peeping through the window shot and all the naps.
4) Editing - I wish there were explanations about billiards, snooker and 9-ball so viewers have better understanding of the sport. The competition shots were alright but they never created any suspense for the viewers.
Favourite scene
When Lin Yiyang, Jiang Yang and Meng Xiao Dong hung out eating skewers

Snow-Covered Romance: A Look at 'Amidst a Snowstorm of Love
Amidst a Snowstorm of Love for me was a slightly above average watch, I definitely feel like if not for the two main leads this would of been definitely rated way lower. Wu Lei and Jin Mai's performance was of course very good, they had great chemistry as a couple, and for the most part they were very mature and I really enjoyed seeing their relationship progress. On another note I really liked the side characters, they were all a positive contribution to the main leads and some of them including Meng Xiao Dong, Jiang Yang and Wu Wei were kind of cutee. The filming locations was absolutely majestic, especially all the snow lol, it gives this drama a bit of a special touch as it's out of the ordinary for a typical romance Chinese drama. Also I enjoyed the sports aspect, even though I don't know the slightest thing about it but incorporating the competition and practice made it really interesting, and I did learn some things about nine ball, and the other types of sports they played. Overall, I wasn't really that engaged with the drama however those that enjoy a sweet candy romance will enjoy Amidst a Snowstorm of Love! Was this review helpful to you?
Comforting drama
Personally I really enjoy a drama that's just about the main couple. This drama is a dream come true for me. A healthy relationship with no miscommunication . No third party is involved in the couples relationship which I really adore. On the other hand every character in this drama even the side actors seem to want the couple together which I personally do not complain as that's what I wanted to see. But if you are someone who would like to see extreme jealousy love triangles or this might just be a little too plain for you. But for me this drama is amazing. Was this review helpful to you?
Swooning, healing, overall a very memorable drama
Snow, Storm and the coldness are somehow give these two people warmth as well as love. The chemistry between the leads is obviously the highlight of this drama. I think the actors are portraying both inexperienced people being in love so well. Not just the leads, but the supporting roles don't feel like a filler, instead they have depths and not just merely so the leads can be together. I love every aspect in this drama. Either it's the romance, the friendship, forgiving and make a peace with the past, ML bond with his master and so many more. This drama is making me swoon on another level. Their love is pure, healing and heartwarming. As the novel reader, I think I like the drama abit more. Sure it " lacks " of physical intimacy ( which is not true at all) but affection can convey in so many other ways than just skinship. I value understanding, companionship, and quality time more than hot kisses. i think their sparkling chemistry enough to make it hot. This drama wrapped almost everything the novel can't. As far as I remember the novel didn't really dive into the friendship between ML and his friends, especially his master. In this drama, we can see more of them, we can understand more. If the novel mostly just focusing about the main leads, the drama has everything init. The sports, the friendship and ofc the romance. Although maybe this is your typical cheesy romance drama, but this is so beautifully and realistically written. It makes you feel like you can relate to them.
I'll remember this drama as long as it lets me. I'll miss them sm when this over. Lin YiYang and His compass, Yin Guo. I hope we can see them again in future projects, movie maybe?

AFTER WATCHING IT..... IT'S REMINDING ME THAT I'M SINGLE IN EVRYWAY
the story of show is about LLY who is former snooker player who retired and start study in foreign country , where he met a nine-ball player YG on a snowstorm night and LLY fall for YG on first sight. their journey starts from that night , with the help for YG's cousin , LLY started pursuing her and they start a dating each other. the story is quiet basic one but the execution of show was fabulous and captivating , we know what will happen next still we wait for that moment to come, all the character of the show are very well written and fun to watch.the cast was one of the best. all of them have done very good job, after watching LW and ZJM acting it feels like they are dating in real life. they was not a single moment when you feel bored of seeing them......
other supporting character have won my heart , MXD , JY and LLY friendship was very realistic , when this three come together in a scene we don't want to see anything else . also all of them are eye pleasing to watch including WW , MXT , CAA .
in each and every scene of our ML and FL we are getting butterfly in the stomach , punching in the air and smiling throughout the show.
(P.S. WE WANTED MORE OF MXD AND LL )

It's love at first sight, then lets grow in love and life!?
When I started this it had just finished airing, usually I would check out the comment section first, but since i had nothing else i wanted to watch I just started this one, TBH after the first few episodes, I really didn't think I would love this, but lo and behold!.. I ended up loving it so much. I started wondering why it was this nice🤣, even at the 20 episode mark, I was nervous to continue because I thought it'll just die down, and get all dramatic etc, but nope.. it kept getting better, it ended up not being a show with a bunch of cliché.I find the first few episodes a little slow, but I guess it's because we didn't know the characters well enough, as yet but as it continued, I started enjoying the snow theme setting, the filming abroad, it was a nice change and the sport they played was interesting. It was nice seeing the life of the ML as well,
At the beginning the ML's eyes said "I want her" and the FL's eyes said "I want you too, but I'm scared and nervous" haha it was a little funny and cute. Once they got together, it was really nice seeing how their romance, relationships and career took off. I felt like I was really watching a story of their life unfold.
The acting of the leads and everyone was well done, it's my first time seeing the FL, she did so well and she's so young in real life, she did a great job with her role, Leo also did great, the other shows I've seen him in had light/slow burn romance, this is the first I'm watching a show of his with romance like this, it was awkward at first, but then it was great seeing him in love. The FL older brother/cousin, WXY, this guy has grown sooo much in his acting, who on earth would believe he's only 21 in real life, he impressed me with his role here, he acted so mature, though him and the FL are the same age in real life, you never saw that in the show, he really did come off as her older brother/cousin and the head of their sports club.
As for our main couple I absolutely loved them, their chemistry, kisses and relationship was soo sweet and felt so real. I loved seeing how they grew in love, usually at some point in a 30 episode modern drama the romance tend to die down, when it starts early or once the leads get together, but instead they just grew so naturally in love, and as they grow in love, it shaped their life and it was beautiful to watch.
I also really enjoyed the relationship between the ML and his two buddy/rivals, they had such a special bond and relationship, not only them, but the ML former club member, they loved and looked up to him so much (but i don't think anyone admired him as much as the FL older brother haha)
If you're looking for something light, with a different setting (overseas and snow/winter), interesting sport, sweet romance, and a great second chance/comeback, I think you'll like it, also if you liked how low angsty LMLMV was then this has a similar vibe. It's such an easy drama to sit back, relax and enjoy, even the sports element of the show was interesting to watch.
The music was the only part that was just okay, but I guess it fit the theme of the show.
This gets my first 10/10 for a full length drama of 2024! 🥰

Perfect, a work of art.
This show was done to perfection. I loved every part of this, big ups to the writer for a job excellently done. They took a niche field like Billiards, and something so beautiful out of it.When I started this series, I thought that their love stories would be slow because of how shy and introverted the main characters were, but it was way better than that. I love that their love grew, that they both went to great lengths to showed that they care for each other. Had tears in my eyes at the end because of how sweet they were, cuteness overload.
One thing I would have for them to show was how and when her perspective on marriage changed.
