An example of how bad it can be.
Save your time and don't bother watching this somewhat disappointing series. You will never get back the time lost that you spent watching this. I was hoping for some good reason to keep watching. The preview episode from the beginning seemed really promising and I was eager to see it go into full production. Something weird happened after the first episode. Covid zombies invaded and sucked the life out this series. This makes some of the other bad series look better. Something has to be in last place and here it is.Was this review helpful to you?

Yes, it's bad. But I have seen worse
I sat down and binge watch this in the space of three days, which is rather quick due tobthe comments that I heard about this series. And yes, I agree that yes it sucked and the plotline is very limited as this series could have easily finish with half of the episodes. But, honestly, the first half actually had a plot (a very weak one) that I was able to watch it so quickly. Episodes 6 to 9 was pointless and from episodes 10 to 12 - was just them having s*x with no storyline whatsoever (it also really did not add anything to the storyline). I also did not go in with high hopes as this is the same people who made 'I Am Your King 2', which is the first and only seires I ever rated 1.5 as it focused more on the actors making out than having a plot (hmmm...sounds familiar).Story-3/10
As I said, the first part had a weak a*s storyline. But it was present. While the latrer was just pointless. As such I give a 3 (4.5 for the first half. 2 for the second. Round it off to a 3.)
Acting/ Cast -4/10
Now, the thing is whilecthe majority of them cannot act to save thier skin, all of the minor actors did a better job than the MC. Thier acting sucked. I mean, thier crying scene in the final episode is still playing in my head as how bad they were. So, just because of the secondary characters, I'm going to give them a 4.
Music-6.5/10
The music, personally for me, was the only good thing for this whole series. It was just beautiful. It's unfortunate that it got saddledcwith this atrocious series.
Rewatch Valu -1/10
While the first part was okay, I'm not going to come back to this series. I don't have the time and patience to sit down and watch this again. I'm giving it a 1.
Overall-3.5/10
Overall I give this series a 3.5. And may I add that the only good thing about this is that Praew started off as a total b@#ch. She left Nine and focused on herself. And because of that, shevis the star player for me in this serles.

Unfortunately it's a waste of time
I thought it would be a really great drama, but I was so wrong. It's boring ans disappointing a lot. The same topics are repeated all the time, there is a lack of plot and I don't really know what is happening because a lot is happening and nothing at the same time. I really like these actors and they play great, but the drama itself looks like it was made as if there was no idea for it and someone just wanted to make it no matter what without further thinking. It is sad to see such a waste of potential that it could have. I don't even know what more can I say more about this drama...Was this review helpful to you?

A Humble Disagreement With Some Reviews
First I want to say that I respect the opinions of all reviewers here but, as an adult mature individual, I feel that I need to bring my point of view and respectfully disagree with some of the reviews. The acting and storyline may have not been perfection, but it was not bad at all.For Me, this story is about watching the episodes to get the full story - Sort of like "Don't judge a book by its cover," in this case a couple of episodes. The point I'm making is that by watching one or two episodes we cannot come to a final decision on how the story really develops. Furthermore, if we don't keep an open mind and read between the lines, as the story develops, we don't get to be able to tie up those connections. The problem with any series is that we don't get to know the whole story until the end.
For me, the first thing is that this series took us out of the comfort zone of the "...still in high school or college..." typical storylines. Yes, the basis of Nine and Dao's storyline begins in college, but we don't get to know that until later in the series when we come to realize that the main storyline is about dealing with feelings of loss, betrayal, and of course love.
First, let's remember that neither Daonuea nor Nine knows who they really are, until the very end. This is one thing I really wished been figured out before the end, because it would have given so many options for additional development of the story.
Daonuea is dealing with the frustration of a failed three-year (more or less) relationship because of his ex-boyfriend cheating and how will he be able to return back to work in the company that they both founded and invested in.
Nine is also dealing with still being "in the closet" and fighting the feelings that he was already experiencing before he even met Daonuea. The sudden loss of his mother probably pushes him back into the closet and into a relationship that he really did not know how to handle and probably felt trapped into continuing because of Praew threatening suicide if he was to leave her. BTW, if I understood correctly, Praew was cheating on Nine and left him too; this is where the opportunity to go away and meet Daonuea comes from.
As the story goes, basically fate brings Daonuea and Nine together when they meet at the resort (camping place, or whatever you want to call it) and fall in love, as in a "meant to be" situation.
From there, everything unravels into the, sometimes funny and out-of-whack story about Nine and Daonuea's relationship and why they lost contact after coming back from the resort. We learn that Nine goes back into a relationship with Praew, and this is why he stops contacting Dao, even though he still has feelings for Dao and is following him around in secret. That's why Nine goes to the company.
Now we get to meet Tee; Dao's ex-boyfriend who is trying to get back together with Dao while he only wants to stay friends and continue working in the company. As it turns out, Tee happens to be one of Nine's best friends in college, probably his best friend, and the one that gets him into the "school buddy" assignment. Later we learn that Daonuea is Nine's secret "school buddy" from college.
Tee knew that Nine had developed feelings for the school buddy, but upon meeting the school buddy, let's say he unintentionally falls for Daonuea, as Nine was called away because of his mother and cannot meet and deliver a present to the school buddy himself. If memory serves, when Nine comes back to the gym--after his mother passed and he'd been away for some time--he asks Tee about the buddy, and he just responds by saying that he met the buddy, gave him the present, and nothing else. Leaving Nine to understand that "the buddy" was not interested.
Furthermore, upon the three of them meeting at the office he does notice the interactions between Nine and Dao, and clearly freaks out because of the school buddy; to the point that he asks Boat to keep an eye on them. Even after Dao makes his decision on staying with Nine, Tee still chooses not to come clean and tell the truth, until the very end when Nine finds the present (pendant/chain) at Dao's apartment and confronts him.
Of course, we get the happy ending we all wanted, and while I do agree that there were opportunities to really dive further into the story, I must humbly disagree with some reviews that are ranking it below 5 stars. I must confess that I watched it in its entirety after it had already aired, but this allowed me to understand the storyline.
Wish you all the best, and keep watching our beloved BL dramas!

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
Worst BL i've ever watched. A total waste of time. The first episode was okayish and story seemed interesting so i got hooked. Both leads are good looking and have chemistry. But as the story moved it kept getting worse and worse.
Both main characters are cheaters and both second main characters are stupid af. Side characters add nothing to the story. Like not even single likeable character in the drama. You won't want to root for a single character. So basically nothing makes sense.
*and just watch clips if you're watching for hot scenes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)*

So Disappointing
I was very excited after watching the "special" episode that introduced the series. I liked the lead pairs chemistry. I specially like Chahub as he is incredibly hot looking! But sadly it went downhill from there, the story has not progressed at all since episode 1 even though we are more then half way thru the whole series. The episodes all seem to drag on with no progress in the storyline. Nine & Daonuea's constant push & pull gets annoying over time. The secondary character are all too boring to mention. The whole series is let down by shoddy storytelling & bad direction. Potential was there but wasted. I doubt with just 4 episodes remaining they can save the series. Quite possibly biggest disappointment of the year!

Disappointed
I was sooooooooooo excited for this show. Episode 0 was so good. I am so very disappointed with the direction the show and story has went. The acting is soooo weird. I just dont understand the silliness in parts where there should be none. Best is so cute and Chahub so handsome. They deserved better writers and directors and everything. The character, Praew is way too much and i get there are girlfriends like that but daaaaaamn. I am definitely going to finish it but i really dont expect much. Was this review helpful to you?

This could have been so good! 8/10 for two Eps. 4/10 for the rest.
Overall this series was pretty disappointing and silly in all but two episodes. The prequel special episode was wonderful, as was the special episode after the finale (ep 13.). Everything else was mostly me just watching on double speed looking for anything interesting or at least not really stupid. There was pretty little of that.Pros:
-The prequel special ep is overall just great. 8/10.
-Ep 13 (the post finale special) is also really good where you get to see Tee and Ice get together. I loved their dynamic, they both committed to their NC and kissing scenes. Their kiss scenes were so good! Ice was much cuter and his sweetness was charming. It was cute seeing Tee's jealously for him and them finally admitting their affection for each other.
-The actor for Tee is so hot. Sooo hot. I know Nine is meant to be the ultimate eye candy here and sure his body is chiselled af. And usually I find the actor for Daonuea really beautiful and charming in all his other roles. (Not in this one sadly because his character is so whiny and intolerable). BUT the actor for Tee has the lustful, wanting looks down pat and convinces you he wants to kiss his partner. That's what I want to see. His one ep with Ice was more passionate and believable than the entire series of scenes with the main couple. I really hope to see him in better roles. The last 20 seconds of the special ep are just chef's kiss with the way Tee looks at Ice.
-The actors did the best they could with the terrible script. They really did. Every actor I'm familiar with I've liked in their other works. I feel like I could almost see the pain on the actor for Nine's face in the earlier episodes when Daeonuea's char is asking him why he's doing this stupid shit and Nine's actor is like well fk there's really no good reason- how do I emote for this? I swear I could see that ticking over in his mind through his expression in some scenes.
-The main female actors are incredibly hot af. Candy and Praew were just beautiful in every scene and I liked seeing their different outfits- even if Praew's character is intolerable.
-The production value was actually pretty good. Pretty lighting and high quality footage and audio.
-A lot of the music (if you completely exclude the bombastic NC scene music) was actually pretty good. A couple of the softer songs with a lot of English in them actually got stuck in my head after watching. Really pretty!
Cons:
Look there's so many cons for this show that I feel like are covered pretty much in everyone else's reviews. So I'm not going to list them all here.
Mainly I'll just say the script was awful, as was the pacing. I watched the uncut, super long episodes on IQIYI and honestly they should have just released cut versions with the important scenes only and everyone would have been better off.
Overall I'm leaving this show on a positive note, but it is literally only because it ended on that special episode which I can actually see myself re-watching.

Some of the Most Unlikeable Lead Characters in BL
This was one of the worst series I've ever watched. Large budget, great cast, all wasted on characters who were largely unlikable. Daonuea dumps his boyfriend Tee for cheating on him, meets Nine of vacation and becomes hopelessly in love with him. Nine makes Tee look a saint. Nine ghosted Daonuea to go back to his girlfriend, and when he see's Daonuea's photo on a webpage, he goes to work at that company and totally disrupts Daonuea's life. Nine forces kisses on Daonuea but refuses to leave his girlfriend due to her mental health, allegedly. Nine manipulates and lies to Daonuea many times, but Daonuea cannot let go of his feelings. They tried to make it seem like Daonuea and Nine were destined if not for that diabolical Tee stepping in to steal Daonuea back in college. Daonuea and Tee ended up liking each other and Nine didn't actively pursue Daonuea, so what's the problem. Boat and Candy were 2-faced co-conspirators have the time. Except for Ice, not one character was innocent of screwing people over, or so I thought.I fast forwarded through much of the final episode because I just did not care about the characters. My disappointment in this series continued to the end, when Ice wrote Tee the Dr. John letter. They missed an opportunity for Tee and Ice to talk about it and come to a mutual understanding, yet we end the series just as it began, this time, It's Tee and Ice instead of Daonuea and Nine. The only character who was actually not a total waste was Nine's ex-girlfriend Praew. Even though they tried to make her a problem, she did not know about Daonuea and Nine's male booty calls (yes, Nine had male side action while dating Praew) when she and Nine resumed their relationship. Yes, she had mental health problems, but that isn't a character issue. In fact, she left the relationship gracefully when Nine told her he loved Daonuea.
I recommend this show only to people who like a complete hot mess, unlikeable lead characters, and hypocrites who dump one guy over a cheating incident and then lets another guy burn him multiple times, but always forgives him. I stuck with it to support Best, and I hope he gets a better series in the future.

Potential unrealized. If you have not started it I'd suggest you find another program.
This program had potential that was unrealized. if you have not started it I'd suggest you find another program.I liked episode 0 but episodes 1 through 10 were a bit of a grind to get through. The jokes were forced and not that funny. There was drama but it was too much of a clique. The plot had many holes that needed plugged. The script was disjointed and it felt like the script lacked a clear direction. The music was not consistent in the feel of it. This needed more editing before it came to screen and a clearer direction.
I kept watching hoping that it would get better and I wanted to see how it ended. This looked like an expensive show to make. They should have taken out the yacht scene and spent that money for a better script. I really liked episode 12 that's what saved me from giving this tv show a 4. Even though felt like the ending was a bit rushed. I m glad it had a happy ending.
I won't rewatch it.

This series had so much potential...
Special episode 0 was amazing and gave us viewers excitement and hope for the BL genre, like a breath of fresh air instead of the stereotypical college campus cliche storyline. This serise had so much potential to be a great hit, unfortunately it's been the biggest letdown. They should have hired better writers and editors. Episodes 1 through9 has been a joke and a waste of time. With only 3 episodes left, I highly doubt it will get any better. If you haven't seen the series yet and want to, take my advice...don't do it, don't bother to start because you will also be disappointed. It's sad because I really like the leading actors and wanted so much for them and this series to be successful. Was this review helpful to you?
