Both are historical dramas that have a powerful queen pushing her son(s) to the throne, scheming by people in the people, and an heir to the throne who grew up outside the palace unaware of his identity as a child.

Both have mothers who go to great lengths to ensure that their kids receive the best education possible. They do this by working with the best tutors and adhering to a productive study routine. One of the actors in both dramas is Chani.

In both we have Crown Princes fighting for their position, court politics and intrigue. Our Blooming Youth seems a bit darker and mystery driven, then Under the Queen´s Umbrella . Still if you want a Palace Drama with well written characters, a fast pace and an exciting story, then Under the Queen´s Umbrella IS IT.
