interesting and unique storyline
I actually enjoyed this one thoroughly, the plot twists and the storyline was quite interesting but I did think the ending was quite unsatisfactory. Some parts were quite cringe but overall good fun . I don’t think I would rewatch this anytime soon— but maybe a bit later in the future. i found some of the characters way too annoying sometimes but im also glad the main character got casted bc I missed her a lot from Its Okay to Not Be Okay!! so happy to see her again in this one. the love story was okay. Was this review helpful to you?
Cute!
Just finished camping and I love it.I love the behind-the-scenes of how they portray the reality of social media. How fans need to realize that they are humans too and there’s a limit to everything.
But, I love romance. I wish there were more romantic moments between the two main leads but overalls I just love the story. The revenge was outstanding. I'm in love when mains know how to give real consequences to those pitches BAHAHAHA. I love their acting tho. Omg those GIRLS were hot and amazing portraying their characters. Well deserved. Ngl some scenes of Ari looks like HYURI. Aweeee I miss Hyuri so much. But anyways, j would definitely recommend watching this if your looking for a quick kdrama show.
The ending made me move to King the LAND. Ifyyk??

i was suprised
at first i did not want to start this drama because i am not interested in social media or influencers however i gave this drama a chance and i was suprised!we follow the story of Ari who wants to earn easy money with social media but there is more to it...
even the beginning of the first ep is !!! cause we are watching the present and past time of the storyline.
i won't say any spoilers besides that this drama shows well how hate in the internet and jelousy works and how insane people aact to become famous.
one point i missed a bit is that there could have been a bit of more romance but this is clearly not a drama about romance but give me 10 more minutes with this couple! :D
i also disliked the quick ending with one of the bad people, like show me the history of this person!
overall i binge watched this drama and give it a 9/10 :)
ps: do not ever post harmful stuff on the internet, this drama is a reminder.

DISCALIMER: THERE'S A LOT OF TRIGGERS INTO THIS KDRAMA
I really liked the story and got really excited with the plot twists, this drama really got me watching 12 episodes in 2-3 days, I just needed to see what would happen. Despite all the good things about this series, we need to talk about the triggers it contains, Netflix's parental rating is 16 years, but I really think this should be an ?I loved to see some special appearances like Jung Yoo-jin (W, Romance is a bonus book, snowdrop) and Seol In-ah (Business Proposal, Mr. Queen, Oasis).
An actress that I really enjoyed seeing as a main character was Lee Chung-ah, this was the third kdrama that I watched with her and she's always stunning!

Started off interesting and devolved with a confusing message ???
This story started off interesting. I was crediting it with being the first kdrama in a while to get me out of my slump. The MC Seo Ari is not the most compelling MC I've seen because the show seemed intent to flip flop between her being meek and her being strong when it felt like it. I truly think the actress did the best she could, but it was often frustrating watching Seo Ari just bite her tongue and freeze when bad things were happening. Like the entire plot at the nightclub.
The Gabin Society, minus Min Hye and Si-hyeon, felt interchangeable. The only thing that separated them were their secrets, to be honest.
I called who was doing the livestream early, but it only confused the message, to be honest. I think it may have been better if bbbfamous had been someone that was close to Seo Ari. The show established that it hurt her the most to have her best friend be one of her detractors. Turning the mastermind behind her rise and fall into a jealous, minimum wage worker, living in a messy apartment with roaches kind of removed any sort of message, IMO. Sure, the only reason the Gabin Society and Seo Ari were able to prosper was through regular people supporting them. However, part of the reason people rooted for Seo Ari in the first place was because these women couldn't be torn down by a regular person. It had to be someone with a following.
Even if the end result was that a regular person was behind bbbfamous, it would've made more sense for it to be a group of regular people getting revenge on the Gabin Society. Seo Ari could've joined them or the show could've made her into someone who'd actually done something wrong because in the end, the message is clouded by the biggest fall from grace being Seo Ari's. She is ruined, Park from the warehouse is ruined, her mother was in jail for tax evasion. The show focuses more on Seo Ari's struggles and doesn't focus on the Gabin Society's fall nearly as much. So, what was the message?
The regular people can make or break you? (Where the regular person was an obsessed psycho who went after someone who also used to be a regular person and still had morals. You know, and not the rich people that were cruel to others.)
Fame can make or break the people around you? (Where she ended up forgiving her backstabbing friend and they helped fool the public together?)
Whatever the message, this show took a swan dive into melodrama in the last 2 episodes and some of the acting choices were cringey. Starting a romance where the FMC accuses the love interest of sexual harassment is a weird choice and I also never warmed to that guy. It felt like the screenwriters were told to insert as much cursing into the story as they possibly could and that sometimes made the dialogue really cringey.
So, would I recommend this show? Yes, if you want to turn your brain off. No, if you're looking for something to make you think.

compelling storyline
The acting, particularly by Gyu Young, stands out as she delivers a remarkable performance beyond what I initially expected. Her portrayal adds depth to Seo A-ri's character, making her journey to fame more relatable and engaging. The series also excels in cinematography, providing a visually stunning experience. Each scene is beautifully captured, creating a visually appealing and captivating atmosphere. I would expect anything more from Flower Of Evil's director.
While the overall storyline is intriguing, at some times I felt that the focus is too much focus on the antagonists. This may have affected the character development of the male lead.
One aspect that made me feel mixed emotions is the reconciliation between the A-ri and her friend, who had previously created a hate page about her. If I have to be honest, it's still hard to believe and accept.
Nevertheless, Celebrity managed to leave a long-lasting impression on me due to its compelling storyline, outstanding acting, and aesthetically pleasing cinematography.

Jun Kyung had maybe two facial expressions throughout this whole show, but the absolute chokehold he had on me is actually crazy. Other than his character making literally everyone love him, I thought this drama was fast paced and I was sucked in pretty quickly. There wasn't anything very substantial about it, but it was fun and easy to watch and I can't ask for much more than that.
Last little note, that scene during the fashion show when Jun Kyung is just staring at Ari? Yeah. Made me go insane.

Social media is just as shallow
Story: A rich-turned-broke lady had a taste of her previous life but with a twist. She missed the comfortable life that money had brought her but life nowadays is just not the same, because of the existence of advanced technology aka social media. I do like her character though, self-aware, strong willed and confident.Acting: Honestly, the acting is not the best but the flow of the story is binge-able and you just can’t help but play ‘next’. One of the things I loved is the subtle and slow burn romance of A-ri and Jeon Kyung(although I don’t remember him smiling that much)they have this sizzling chemistry on the first half of the series.
Music: Nothing memorable but catchy enough to move along with the music and the sound effects during the scenes with the main couple is appropriate and can give an exciting feeling to root for them.
Rewatch Value: I guess it’s not something that I would personally rewatch but I can totally recommend for people who wants to binge watch.
Overall: 8.5/10. Since I didn’t expect much on this series, I was quite surprised that I finished it in 2 days(of course I had to work and sleep). So, 2 days is quite fast for me. If I didn’t have work, I could finish this in one day, that’s how interesting it was. It’s not too deep but not too shallow as well. It just shows how the life of social media can turn you into an attention-seeking or social climber person. Of course, not everyone is like that, but even so, you would still question yourself, are you one of those people who will comment on random fights online like it would actually benefit you? Are you one of those who get easily convinced of the products endorsed by your idols? Are you one of those who want try or eat those popular food that’s been circulating around the web? It’s a thought-provoking series, however, it’s up to you to realize, if you are easily influenced by these type of advertisements or issues you see online. Just like social media, the series is just as shallow, but not in a bad way, it just represents how shallow the ‘life’ is online. Lastly, I think ‘influencer’ would be a better title.

A badass FL and the perfect balance of thriller & romance
I went into this one kind of nervous — I thought it would be pretty soapy and I'm not a huge fan of dramas about catfights between rich people.BUT. Wow. I was so impressed right off the bat with the FL's personality. She's strong, straightforward, and stubborn, and most importantly is proud of who she is and stands up for it. It was so refreshing, and the drama did an amazing job of making her still seem human and flawed, susceptible to temptations. I couldn't have asked for a better protagonist or a better actress; Park Gyu-young absolutely KILLED it.
I also found that this was just the perfect balance between thriller/mystery and romance. Their scenes fit seamlessly into the plot and of course they're the scenes I'll always go back to rewatch.
Plot-wise, this was just so bingeable. There are annoying side characters but they never overwhelm the plot (or our main lead), and they're actually given each given a bit of backstory as well, which also never seemed out-of-place.
I do think there was a trade-off to be made with the 12 (instead of 16) episode format. On one hand I really loved the fast pacing, but I also wish we had a little more time to handle the final conflict/mystery. There are some more confrontations and reunions I wish we got, some more conversations I wish we saw. But it's small potatoes in the grand scheme of just how much I actually enjoyed watching this show.
Overall, I'm still really impressed with how they wrapped up the ending. It's immensely satisfying but I wouldn't be opposed to a season 2 considering the suspicious final cameo we got...;)

Strong start, good story line, honest reflection
This will be a short one - I loved it!Very clever writing - I can almost see the writers looking at the pompous, artificial life of e-celebrities, wondering where is the value of it, where is the humanity, what’s left of sincerity.
It was refreshing to see the struggles of the main character, the journey of ups and downs. Very brave choice to portrait haters as “commoners” & people who are close to you highlighting the trust and value erosion.
The acting was so good too.
I loved it.

Akin to Reality
What a good hit of reality. It accurately depicted the nature of competition in any field but specifically the Influencers one.PGY was totally fitted to the role, so much so that the line between reality and fiction blurred. Besides her almost all of the cast contributed equal in making the series true to its intention.
One could see that absence of any one of the character would have sunken the ship.
There were No plotholes to be found.
Despite those there were certain scenes with not much plot development, mostly scenes of Mr. Han with Ms.Yoon. The reason might be because we were being introduced to their past and while their story wasnt pivotal to the series it's existence did make the series whole.
All signs of a well produced, great screenplay Drama.
