this series had the potential to be an engaging series with an interesting storyline. However, it falls short of expectations in several way. One of the most glaring issues with the drama is the portrayal of the female lead. Her acting comes across as terrible and annoying, which is unfortunate, as any drama's success heavily relies on its cast's performance. The character she plays is overly cutesy, and her two pigtails seem completely out of place. The actress's inability to bring depth and authenticity to her role makes it hard to connect with the character and invest in her journey. Another thing is the lack of a well-constructed storyline. The plot lacks direction and cohesion, leaving me feeling lost and disconnected from the narrative. The story fails to provide a clear sense of purpose or direction, making it challenging to become emotionally invested in the characters' fates. By episode 7, it became evident that there was no redeeming quality in the story or characters, which ultimately led me to drop the series.

A Diamond Yours to Discover

I created an account specifically to write this review because I can't believe this show only has a rating of 7.8, while there are other Cdramas with more popular actors but terrible acting with scores over 8 ? I personally think this drama's score should have been 8.7

This drama is so cute that I immediately watched it again after I finished. I also finished watching the BTS clips and social media interviews given by the couple (do you know that they are neighbours in Beijing?!)

The story is a fluffy romcom at its core but includes a lot of twists found in 40 eps Cdramas, thankfully this show is not draggy at all. For me it really starts to get good after ep 7. You will fall in love with the ML. His acting is natural and emotional. I came for Song Yiren (who does not disappoint) but I left with a love for the ML.

The ending is BE, but they make it a HE in the special episode (27). In one of their interviews the ML and FL actually said they prefer the BE although I have to respectfully disagree with them. I hope to seem them in another drama in the future!

The best of Wang You Shuo

I have to admit that I’ve watched this series over and over since it’s been out. Even with new Xu Kai series. I rather rewatch this. Rong Yu was played very well. He did a great job. I literally still cry at the same scenes each time I watch it. It makes me wish there was a real man out there like this character. Prior to this I was watching Journey to Destiny which was also really really good. But I have to say. This role of Rong Yu just won my heart. The integrity, the confidence, the person he is just is so addicting. I really hope there’s a season 2. I would love to see what happens next. I think it should include more of Rong Yu thoughts. His voice and everything was done really well. Because of this I searched for other shows he was on. And apparently I’ve seen some. But never truly noticed him until this role. Prior to this it was Xu Kai’s role in Ancient Love Poetry that I was addicted to. But Wang You Shuo did great!!!!

Attori bravi, storia triste

Dovrei dare differenti voti perchè per la prima volta mi trovo perplessa , a fronte del fatto che per intensità e bravura recitativa gli attori meritano un 10 pieno, soprattutto il protagonista maschile che interpreta il doppio ruolo magistralmente, e credetemi per me che ho avuto a che fare con gente nella sua situazione posso dire che è incredibilmente credibile, come gestura, mimica, linguaggio. Qualcosa che davvero mi ha turbato.
Come colonna sonora personalmente non ha brillato, non darei nemmeno la sufficienza.
Come combattimenti ed effetti scenografici e do un 7 , perché non ce ne sono moltissimi ma quelli che si vedono sono discreti, molto scenografici quelli delle ultime puntate.
Come scenografia, dialoghi e scelte narrative io mi trovo costretta a dare la sufficienza (6) perché pur iniziando in modo spensierato e leggero, anticonvenzionale, mi è piaciuta molto la scelta di caratterizzare in modo eroico e intraprendente la parte femminile proponendo di contro una controparte maschile intensa, profonda ma fragile (genialata), la serie , forse a causa della sua brevità (27 episodi contro i 40 minimo che hanno queste serie e gli episodi durano anche un 5 minuti in meno) ,dopo i primi 7 episodi, diventa un ecatombe tragica e senza un episodio di tregua o serenità, forse attimi. E' un continuo susseguirsi di tragedie e colpi bassi.
I dialoghi tra i due innamorati mancano di onestà reciproca, o di totale schiettezza per tutta la durata del drama per quel che riguarda il protagonista maschile, la protagonista femminile per disperazione si aprirà ma non cambierà nulla. Lui è totalmente perso per lei ma anche l'uomo più irragionevolmente testardo che io abbia mai visto, e questa ostinazione determinerà il finale che vedrete... .

La brevità della serie ci ha risparmiato molti dialoghi inutili e storie accessorie, riempitivi che spesso penalizzano appesantendo la visione.
Nonostante ci sia intensità , ottima recitazione, un amore pieno di tenerezze reciproche che in nessuno dei 50 drama finora visti (dimenticatevi della passione), ho ritrovato, personalmente ho trovato troppo pesante la visione e l'andazzo prosegue senza tregua. Il finale non è negativo né positivo, dura pochi secondi e per come finisce, per le conseguenze fatali e la condizioni in cui si trova la protagonista ti lascia insoddisfatto e con un grande senso di vuoto e pesantezza.
Peccato che attori così bravi abbiano preso parte a questa deprimente serie, senza gioie; solo pesante e struggente, seconda solo alla "Scelta di Sophie" (film terribile per chi lo conosca che viene da me menzionato per farvi capire a cosa andate incontro, il grado di drammaticità e tragedia continua), tanto che alla fine la sigla di ogni episodio ti evoca profonda angoscia perché capisci che ci sarà una nuova prova, un nuovo problema,un nuovo pericolo, forse fatale, una nuova separazione, senza fine. Così tante le tragedie che il finale non lo gusti a pieno, anzi ti sembra un contentino triste, messo lì per volere di qualcuno ma a cui nessuno crede fino in fondo, persino il regista!!! POCO CONVINCENTE!

Vi prego scrivete recensioni solo se finite la visione completa della serie, ho letto molte recensioni di chi ha visto solo i primi due capitoli, ebbene la serie dal 7 diventa completamente un altro genere, quindi non scrivete impressioni, perché fino a quando non si vede tutto si parla di impressioni non di una recensione fondata e completa!!!
