The ending scene of Asuka.....

So this is my theory...
In end there is a special scene where the headlines and picture of the murder of the red person changes intlo asuka's.

So from my point of view i think that asuka is actually murdered when she was 8 and in the whole movie asuka's character is just hallucination .

In the scene where they are in the library and Takahiro say something about him going to amusement park with asuka's family but she cuts off in the middle and in the ending scene they showed that she was murdered in an amusement park.

Next when they went to beach Asuka says that when they were younger they had a school trip like some swimming trip or something and she did not attend due to her cold but on next day they all saw her as invisible and forgotten I guess that's when she was murdered because of that they did not actually saw her and even she didn't know that she actually died.

I think they saw her at night because she only appeared to everyone at night for body search because she is the next person for body search. And Takahiro is the closest person to Asuka that's why only he saw her even at morning.

* THIS IS ONLY WHAT I OPINION AFTER WATCHING IT *

Probably the cutest gory horror movie ever

I loved this! What a nice treat for those of us (me) who didn't have anyone to celebrate valentine's day with lol.

Now, I am someone who doesn't usually watch horror movies. I am a scaredy-cat on most levels. But I enjoyed this movie, even if I had to cover my eyes for some bits. It was pretty gory and had something à la jumpscares, but it was all bearable! It had a simple premise of a time loop where the six main leads had to find body parts scattered around the school; I thought it was brilliant. As a very lovey-dovey type of person, my favorite part of the movie was the developing friendship between the six. Watching a horror movie is much easier when 1/4 of the time is spent with your heart fluttering from both platonic and romantic bonds!

Watching this movie, I realized how big an impact sound has. My heart would start pounding (both in fear and happiness) depending on the music and different noises. Overall, an enjoyable watch. I was very close to skipping, but I'm very glad I didn't. Stay tuned for the post-credit scene!

CREEPY & ENTERTAINING

How a bunch of classmates work together to find the scattered pieces of corpse in the school.

This movie shows how they help and cooperate with each other and the change of the bond among them during this process, Asuka our main female lead, like asusual she didn't get any friends, but during this time she got the best days of her highschool, she along her classmates tries to find the eight scattered pieces of Haruka's corpse in the school -- THE RED PERSON .If they failed to find the Haruka's body, the day will keep repeating.... & they will continue to die until they find it.

I ACTUALLY FELT FIRST HALF WAS MORE CREEPY AND I LOVE IT, thanks 2 this RED Person

Yes it was worth watching & I don't feel like it's a waste of time becoz it's just a movie of 1hr45min

Finally I really love the chemistry between the Main leads

One of those horror movie which characters do stupid things

The ending omg!
At least 1 death could have been avoided if the main girl just run and put the head back when the guy gave her. Then she has a second chance to again quickly put the head again, but noo. She rather cry and do all of this slo mo and the guy ended up being eaten by the monster, all his pain could have been avoided.
The monster is so strong yet can be beaten by the main girl while the boys were struggling to get a hold of it. Like what ?
I'm so mad I wasted my time watching this.

Why was it so wholesome?

And why did I enjoy it so much! Give me a gory slice of life with amazing friendship and sweet romance. How does this combination make sense? No idea, but it was fun.

This movie is not scary, this movie is entertaining, heartwarming and silly. Yes, the deaths are gruesome, but the stakes are non-existent. This is probably the most chill horror I have ever seen - no worries, no true tension, just pure enjoyment.

The plot could be separated into distinguishable sections depending on the characters; knowledge of what is happening around them and the growing friendship. With that, it never felt boring, and surprisingly not repetitive at all. We’ve got a cute slice of life during the day, and nightmare in the night - how did it click so well? No idea, but I loved that format.

Production value was fine. I’m glad we only saw the Red Person in the dark and shadows, because giving us a good view of it would ruin the fun - the design was just too silly, looking like something from Five Nights at Freddy's.

Overall, initial confusion about the tone of the movie turned into a tiny excitement and overall a pleasant experience, which is a rare thing to say about a horror movie.

Ps. Don’t even watch the after credits scene - it’s dumb. They thought they got the viewers with a twist, but it makes literally no sense.

Horror with a Message

This movie had a very good story concept with an underline meaning. The script was great because it had a great mix of horror, comedy, and drama. However, it had some weak elements but there only minor. I also loved the underline theme about the horror of loneliness. It had an excellent cast which did a great job with their characters. The cinematography and special effects were amazing.

Random Note:

Warning, there are some gory scenes but there not that bad. Keep in mind that I grew-up watching horror films of the 80’s and 90’s, so my tolerance level of gore is pretty high.

Plot Twist: Jesus was in the show and He saves the day

Before I explain what the title means, I must say that it is not a spoiler nor it is a religious ploy and I am definitely not taking His name in vain. I apologize in advance if it is rude to you but I am not taking it down cause it fits too perfectly (you will understand once you see it).
Or maybe i will change it to "Happy Death Day meets The Grudge"

I will start by saying AVOID if:
- you hate cutesy gore
- you can't sleep at night without a teddy
- you are lowkey scared of anything
If you have these three problems and you see it, recovery is kinda tough. The rest problems are no biggies.

This movie unlike other "time loop" movies is kinda different. We see the characters enjoying being stuck in the time loop and taking their time to get out of it. They don't stress nor do they enjoy the time loop until the end and then freak out. Each and every character is nice and doesn't backstab one another or fight in times of adversity. They don't separate and stick together. They don't hesitate to give up their lives for the betterment of others also. This is some advanced thinking i have never seen in movies.
But like every movie, there are flaws. And that flaw is the FL.
Pretty much every character is important but clear distinction is given to Asuka so she is FL. But this FL is a scaredy cat for 90% of the movie. 5% of the time, she grows a backbone due to the ML (Takahiro), and the rest 5% was because it was the end of the movie. The virgin FL, who suddenly becomes powerful after everyone dies, saves the day!!
She was timid and nervous but come on, after dying at least 50 times and even getting friends who like you, you should have become at least confident. But NO, she was like this till the end of the movie,
The reason the movie was saved is due to the ML. Dude literally did 95% of the things in the movie. He distracted the demon and did most of the things too. Even in the end, while the FL stared and cried, my guy was slashing the monster.
The stupid FL could have saved him when he was dying if she used the time she cried for his non-existent death for something like running and putting the goddamn body part in the coffin.
After he died, she became so strong that she fought the monster with the strength that wasn't showcased till now and won (by the power of Jesus). Then took her sweet time doing everything. The ending of the movie would have been cut by 10 mins if she ran. Sorry for the vent, it was necessary to do so I can detoxify this bs.

The cast was new to me other than Hashimoto Kanna, Yamamoto Maika, and Kamio Fuju. I have seen them before but my memory sucks remember where. They all acted pretty well and due to no significant supporting roles, the other cast had no presence.
The music was too good. The Japanese never fail to give an adrenaline rush song in between a gore movie.
There is also a post-credit scene that will confuse you but honestly, there were hints in between the movies to be able to predict this. It was a predictable movie.
Hope you like it!

The ending was not it and not scary

This was not scary at all but really entertaining, i liked the story about them being stuck in a time loop and they must find the scattered remains of an victim so they an escape the curse and finally see another day.
The ending was really just not it, it did not made any sense and this series is not worth to rewatch.
It was really confusing for me the first time i started watching and really hard to understand but along the way as I looked i started to understood what it was about.
Overall the movie is worth watching if u like these kind of gore movies this would be the one you're looking for!

not scary but entertaining

as a horror movie it's really not a big deal because it's not scary at all and for those who like jumpscares there isn't that either, but i liked the story and found it interesting

i think they could have invested more time of the movie in their search for the body parts, and the script was a little weak in some points but nothing that i thought it was so bad. reading the comments in other app i found out that this movie was inspired by a manga, so probably a series/drama or a longer movie would have been better to develop the whole story of the manga and to develop it better, but for someone who doesn't know the original story i didn't think it was bad. and plus, i really liked the characters

i saw that some people didn't liked this movie, but i did. the post credit scene did its job well, i hope there's a sequel

The movie subverts your expectations

This movie masterfully transcends multiple genres, offering a fresh and unique take on horror, gore, and mystery. What begins as a chilling tale evolves into a compelling exploration of friendship and camaraderie, subverting expectations along the way.

The story revolves around six high school students from diverse backgrounds, unwittingly thrust into a sinister game. Their macabre objective? To reassemble the dismembered body of an 8-year-old girl, all while relentlessly pursued by a malevolent entity cloaked in red. Each time the day ends with the demise of the six students, they find themselves trapped in an eerie time loop, compelled to relive the nightmarish game until all the body parts are discovered.

What sets this apart is its remarkable transformation from a supernatural horror survival into a thrilling treasure hunt infused with moments of camaraderie and levity. As the morning dawns, the students unite, planning their next moves and offering mutual aid in their quest for survival. Amidst the fear and pain, the power of friendship shines through, making the mid-point of the film a heartwarming testament to the human spirit. However, the movie intelligently raises the stakes, shifting gears as the game intensifies, demanding a more serious approach from its characters.

The majority of the movie unfolds within the school setting, skillfully utilizing its surroundings to enhance the suspense and atmosphere. Creative death sequences provide both shock and awe, only to be met with renewed determination and cheer-worthy resilience as the characters face the game's challenges head-on.

In conclusion, this movie is a must-watch for its daring departure from traditional horror tropes and its exceptional ensemble cast. The film leaves a lasting impression, leaving viewers intrigued by the thoughtfully crafted end-credit scene and the hints artfully scattered throughout the story. Prepare to be enthralled as you embark on this gripping journey that defies genre boundaries and reveals the true power of human connection.

I don't think this is for horror fans good thing I'm not one

On the whole I really enjoyed this film but that might be because I don’t like horror.

Like this film is technically a horror but after the first night you realise that the characters are never really in danger (also the second form of the “monster” is really goofy) which made the horror aspect of the film kind of fall flat for me which I do not mind at all since I was able to focus on aspects of the film that I actually enjoy. For me I enjoyed this film because it was just a group of likeable characters going though a Groundhog Day situation with a twist.

I do however have two complaints about the film one being WHY DIDN’T ASUKA RUN WHEN SHE WAS TOLD TO RUN!! I mean I get that it was so she could have her big character development moment but still, it was frustrating. My second complaint is that some of the characters were really underdeveloped for example Rie, she had so much potential to be an interesting character due to her crush on Takahiro but she really didn’t do anything for the story, so much so that I didn’t even notice she was gone for the final battle.

But other than those things I did really enjoy this film. I would just say don’t go in expecting a good horror cause you’re not going to get it. This film is more of a high school coming of age type drama with horror elements but I think it does that pretty well.
