This drama is GREAT
This drama is adopted from a game let me repeat again a game . So if ya'll hate the acting then it means you're hating the actual character of the story, all the character are doing a very good job.So first of all everyone who's hating on my girl ESTHER , let me tell you its the character that needs to have a cute voice, as she's a weapon she lacks EQ so it's basically only normal if she's carefree . Her character is cute and fluffy as a given but that doesn't mean it's annoying AT ALL! she might me confused about normal human feelings but she's not dumb her IQ is great and the character is very righteous and straightforward as well. And on the last part of the drama her improvement both emotionally and mentally gets wayyy better.
My guy XU KAI is also doing a GREAT job. He's like Qi's emotional guide and it might seem only he is protecting her but the protection actually goes both ways . They both are protecting each other . Their sacrifices for each other will make you go feral.
I sobbed , cried and got emotional so many times in the last half of the drama . EACH AND EVERY CHARACTER DID SOO WELL.
My guy SHIFANG might seem like a softy but he's so great .
ZHAOYAN, XIAN QING , MING XIU all of them values each other SO MUCH. they all played great roles in the group.
Even my guy LUO MAIMIG had me sobbing , I couldn't hate him after all.
In the later half of the drama it got so many emotions , so much angst , so much love , so many HEARTBREAKS.
This drama over all is very good. It's worth the watch.

Very interesting plot and characters
The whole plot is very interesting, from funny and innocent to very exciting and somehow tragic and sad one. From not knowing too much to revealing in later episodes. One has to pay attention to catch all details, never boring.The characters are very real, not only good or bad, there is no real villain. Doing evel doesn’t mean being evel. Each one has his/her own reasons for what they are doing, you are often surprised at the end. You hate them until you find their motivation and you completely change your opinion about them. I love this, it is so more like in real life, makes you think before judging someone too quickly. I love these colourfull charactes.
The acting of all actors/actresses is great! They made me feel their emotions, believe they are real. I was so drawn into the story thanks to them, I smiled a lot at the beginning and cried a lot in later episodes. Loved every bit of the story, every minute, there were no boring moments for me.
The chemistry was excellent, XuKai and Esther lived their characters, they were so real! And the rest of the cast as well.
Although it might seem sometimes that someone’s role is not important, it shows later that everybody has his/her purpose and contributes significantly to the plot. Some may think the story is boring at the beginning (I never felt like that, but there are people who don’t like characters introduction and funny innocent moments and wish for fights and similar excitement), but wait for later episodes, there is a lot happening there.
I very recommend to watch this drama, I enjoyed everything in it a lot!
PS: Don’t be discouraged by haters, especially by the ones talking about FL’s voice. Yes, her voice is “child like”, but it is exactly how it is supposed to be (the same as in original game from which the drama is adapted), her character is a teenage girl with wiped out memories (as well as all behavioral patterns) 3 years ago - so at the beginning, she is like 3 years old kid. But she (and her voice) matures throughout the story as she gains life experiences - which is btw. also very interesting to watch - this journey to maturity.

I'm writing this review as early because someone is flocking this review with unnecessary hate even they don't even watch it. The hater also called it a Historical drama when it is a costume drama. They want a character development over 1 episode. How absurd you can be.The Sword and Fairy have fully restored the Gameplay Plot and this is a good thing because the Game have a solid plot.
Even the smallest characters have life, interest ambition. The Group Chemistry is on point. The Main Leads Chemistry is overflowing.
The Narrative of the Story is clear and easy to understand as it unfolds. The drama is entertaining, you will have a lot of laughs and I'm sure a lot of the emotions to as the plot progress.
The Scene of the Main Leads are remarkable. How they intertwined with other characters is natural and not forced.
Wow even the Producer of the Game Series Have acknowledge the drama, the genuine portrayal of the main leads and the cast
The Fighting scene on Episode 8 is remarkable for me. It is very well choreographed.
The interwoven interest of all the characters that paints the story of the leads more colorful.
Wow! The Fighting scene on Episode 12 is epic too. Zhengwu Sect and Team JinZhao show an intense battle because the sect hate demons while the team protect Xian Qing. I'm amazed and with all the cast especially Esther Yu for giving an amazing Show as Yue Qi in the battle.

All characters in this drama are unique
I really like the story line of this drama. The visuals and ost of this drama is very good. The main lead played by Xukai and Esther yu they have done a great job. They have a pure and best chemistry and it’s like match made in heaven. The drama storyline is also good. Other characters of this drama also done a good job. luo zhao yan played by wan peng, Xian qing played by fu xin bo,ming xu played by bai bing ke and ju shi fang played by zhao zhan. All have done outstanding job.I fell in love with this drama and Xukai and Xinxin have great and pure chemistry.
You are going to love this drama and the storyline is also good and so I am not going to disclose anything. Please watch the drama

My first drama that based on games so I will review it purely based on the story only.

Yue Jinzhao (Played By Xu Kai) is a clever guy with a mysterious origin. He is brave, caring and with a will to protect the mankind.
Yue Qi (Played by Esther Yu) is a mythical beast from Yu Clan but raised in Heng-Tao sect by Bian Luohuan. She has a childlike attitude and thoughts, but she is not foolish. She is strong, powerful who values friendship and relationship.
I think this is my first drama that based on games so I will review it purely based on the story only. Honestly, I am very reluctant to finish this drama. Maybe because it is not my kind of drama. I can honestly feel why some viewers dropped this drama because it was childish for them and sometimes, I also feel the same. I am a big fan of Esther that is why I tried to understand and finish this drama. Some of the viewers find Esther's voice and character to be irritating maybe because she is playing a 13 to 16 years old character. I am used to Esther’s baby voice so its fine for me.
The story line is okay. I can feel the undying love of Jinzhao for Qi and Qi’s love for Jinzhao. Love the friendship of the 6 of them. They are always supporting each other even its not related to them but because of their love for their friendship they are always willing to go anywhere together and fight. Luo Li Ming stands out for me because even he is bad, he did everything for Luo Zhao Yan – to keep her alive. His love and affection for her is not just because they are both from LUO clan. He really loves her and care for her because she is someone who is willing to die with him and protect him every time. I even like story of Bian Luo Huan and Qi. It is short and sweet but deep. I thinks I like the later episodes more because the storyline is becoming serious. One thing is I don’t understand the ending. I thought Qi is dead because she used her life bring back Jinzhao but why is she even there? How did it happen?
Overall, I will rate it as 8/10 because Xu Kai did a great job portraying both Jinzhao and Luohan who have opposite characters. Esther is always adorable. Great second leads too! Xu Kai and Esther Yu has great chemistry. I wish I can see them again both in different drama/story maybe a bit matured romantic comedy drama because the I just love the chemistry of Luohan and Qi!

A good start with flawed end
Well if you want to give it a try you can as it's okay to watch for one time... Cast was amazing some characters were deep but all important one died and unnecessary one's left alive.Cast was superb.... Except one (Ming Xiu) but I hope she can do better she have skills. All pairs were good.... Music was fine as well.
Till episode 30 drama is good I really felt last 6 episodes were dragged unnecessarily.
Overall a good drama but was expecting little different and more.
But.... But.... Our Xu Kai was the best as usual ?

Not gonna lie the ending made me cry. I really liked this and the way it ended wasn't sudden they didn't come back to life out of nowhere there was a genuine explanation for it. I was really sad tho everyone not remembering them omg, going through a journey with people and finding friendship just for it to be gone like that. I want a little special episode for the end of the story of Yue Qi and Yue Jinzhao.
This is my first time watching a Chinese historical drama. Honestly, I rarely watch historical dramas because most of what I find are stories about royal politics, crown princes, and the struggle for the throne. I decided to watch this drama because I wanted to see Xu Kai's acting.In terms of the story, it is quite interesting, I like it, there are quite a lot of mysteries that make me curious.
The OST song, I really like it especially the opening song. Qi ji or Miracle by JS
The acting of the actors and actresses is very good. I even find it difficult to imagine how Xu Kai acts as 2 people whose personalities are quite opposite. Even often in one episode there is a conflict of emotions between the 2 roles. When Jinzhao is happy, Bian Luohan is sad or angry. If the scene was shot on the same day, Xu Kai is really great at managing emotions to play the 2 roles.
At the end of the story, I was confused about how Yue Qi could come back to life even though he exchanged his life for Jinzhao. I realized it when I replayed the video where Yin Xuwei exchanged his life. Yin Xuwei exchanged his life not only for Jinzhao's life but also for Yue Qi's life. The Longtan said that Yin Xuwei's short life span and with all the memories of life he had were enough to exchange the lives of 2 people but they would be short-lived. Finally Xuwei made a deal with the longtan what to do if later someone else exchanged their life for Jinzhao.
Here it can be ascertained that Xuwei had predicted Yue Qi's arrival to exchange Jinzhao. So it can be said that Yue Qi and Jinzhao can come back to life because of the exchange of Yin Xuwei and Yue Qi themselves.
But I'm a little dissatisfied with the ending of Qi and Jinzhao meeting. Here we don't know whether Qi is still Kun or not. And how they will realize that they are destined for each other. Maybe if there is a special episode to tell it, it will be very satisfying for the audience.
It's quite touching that 6 friends are in one frame at the ending. Although Ju Sifang is just a name told by the storytellers.

I loved it against all odds
Seriously, this is one of the most complex plots I've seen in cdramas, but surprisingly it didn't turn me off - the mystery was unraveling slowly but steadily, and while sometimes (most of the times) I had no idea what was happening and why most of the characters did what they did, it was still a captivating watch.I have to mention the stellar cast first - if not for the actors, the drama wouldn't have been so captivating. XuKai gave his very best performance playing not one, but two characters. He and Esther have a lovely chemistry that is sweet and innocent, like teenage love, which I found beyond cute and amazing to watch. Wan Peng was great playing Luo Zhaoyan, her brother was equally great, and deliciously evil and bad (although very caring, and yes, that's a thing). Luo Zhaoyan and Xian Qing (the demon-wolf) had amazing chemistry and a kind of more mature romance unfolding, which I'd love to see more of, but after all, the series is more about fighting and solving the mysteries than anything else. All the supporting characters and their stories were also great to watch.
Maybe the plot is more coherent for people who actually played the game, but for me, as a viewer, it was a bit too much of unfamiliar lore that was laid out in bits and pieces and we just had to roll with it, taking things as they were. In the end, everything kind of made sense (at least, all the mysteries were explained). Still, some characters had very questionable ethics, doing lesser evil for the sake of the greater good, which has never turned out good, like ever. I'm sure there could be less messy ways to do things and save all the realms. Still, it all made sense, I just wish there were fewer character deaths, they were really heartbreaking to watch.
But I do recommend this drama to everyone who is thinking about whether to watch it or not - there are too many good scenes and plotlines in it. If you don't mind being in the dark for most of the series, wondering what on earth is going on there and why the main lead has a twin, then you're all good. The OST is lovely, all the music is great, the acting is superb, and the couples are super cute. There are quite a lot of funny moments at the beginning of the drama, but then things get dramatic pretty fast. I cried a few times, so be prepared for that, too.

Good characters failed by a story that only picks up in the last arc.
I watched sword and fairy 4 before this and was actually more interested in the SF6 because of the cast. Both of them lacked when it came to the story. Despite looking forward to watching this one, it was hard to get past episodes. Had to use fast forward far too much for the liking. The story lacked depth and just couldn't ensnare me.They had decent characters but the story was all kinds of messed up. The supposedly good sect was okay sacrificing a thousand to save the rest of the world's population because one member of their sect came back from the future and told them so. So many important characters lacked the backstory that could have fleshed them out. I finally got into the drama around the final 10 episodes and most of them were sad.
I am few of those who believe that Bian Luo Huan wasn't really wiped out of existence, his sacrifice was not in vain. Part of him will always live on in Yue Jin Zhao. Sacrifices should be rewarded and not forgotten.

kemistrinya dapet banget Xukai sama xinxin ini, melebihi ekspektasi aku pas liat preview waktu masih syuting. ceritanya oke dimana Xukai meranin dua karakter aja udah bikin penasaran. Karakter bian sama Jinzhao tuh beda banget, mereka berdua nih yang bikin penasaran banget kelanjutannya.. begitu juga Yue Qi yang di episode 15-16 udh ketahuan asal usulnya tapi tetep aja blm kebuka banget.alurnya nggak ketebak di aku yang emang lebih fokus nonton Xukai sama xinxin ? penasaran banget kelanjutannya gimana, kalian harus nonton bareng aku sih mumpung masih on going ❤️
satu lagi OST nya bagus bagus, paling suka A lifetime by Shan Yichun

Shuxin voice as it happens every time i mean what are u expecting from a 3 year old character to speak like? her voice is just like the gameplay she potrayed it sooo well that i cant thing of others foing it?
And i really like the group dramas where they go together to find the mystry fight together die for other is such a diamond plot for me ?
The story itself feels soo great i mean every character is give full development story love interest u can see it?
I am just going to say antis dont be soo hateful if u guys have soo much time than go to hell??
