The First Responders Episode 1 Reactions
I am a huge Firefighter show junkie!!!! I've been there from the start of Chicago Fire and whole heartedly jumped into the 911 shows from Fox. (Station 19 is garbage, but I tried it too.) Even Fire Country. So when I realized that Korea had The First Responders and it has a FIRE ENGINE on the poster I was all in.
With this first episode I was left very disappointed. Because this is a cop show. *sighs* The paramedics and firefighters were there. There and used super stupidly. *eyeroll* So basically I'll have to just shut my brain off. The problem is I didn't want another cop show. I wanted Firefighters and paramedics Korean style!!!!
They at least tried to make the kidnapping interesting, but I was so bored. I like police shows. So I expect a bit more from the cases and mysteries. Overall the acting is crap, the story is basic and ironically very tropey. I am so disappointed. I'll keep going cause there's already a season 2 slated. So maybe things get better.

Solid 8.5 for me. Just a few bits which made me drop my rate for First Ep.
1. Lighter just sitting on top of the toilet? Really? (Ok, im gonna assume theres scented candles in there)
2. No smoke from the room from under the door
3. After explosion, i was expecting Mr Baek and Pil to bust through the door but no sign of them at all...well i guess we needed to see ML taking the culprit down himself with his signature bite
Besides those pointers...i quite enjoyed it, neat how ML's mind works i look forward to rhe next episodes.

I paid full attention while watching this. The scene with the wireless headphones tho, I'll take note of that OMG SO SMART OF THE DIRECTOR!! I love the chemistry among the joint forces crew. I didn't notice bout the illogical thing until I read reviews on Twitter: about the culprit did not notice bout the smoke, but I honestly don't mind since the pace of the story, and the way it unfolds everything was good! Maybe -1 because I CANT BELIEVE the victim's mum could have asked ''gwenchana??'' when her daughter almost died and that's her dialogue??? i- hahahha but all is fine

So exciting and full start! I'm already in love with Mad Jindo and how fast the story goes. Investigations per episode kind of my favorite! Let's see what's gonna happen next!
