Sweet, but quite boring
I like the actors, and the premise was sweet. But, to be honest, I spent most of the time thinking nothing was actually happening with the characters. It was just... boring. Not funny and no real build up to the romance, which I suppose should have been expected considering it's 4 episodes long.I think the lack of build up also made me believe there wasn't much chemistry between the two leads, and there wasn't any conflict in the story. I'd recommend this for the fans of the actors because it's fairly cute and doesn't take much time to finish, but that's pretty much it.

Aesthetically pleasing and comfort one-sided-love trope
This epic slow burn romance is such a comfort zone. I feel like I've been wrapped in a comfy cotton blanket. The rhythm of the story is like walking on tiptoes. The one that doesn't give an alarming vibe but instead calming as the story moves smoothly.
Ep 1 was plain and I didn't really get the chemistry between the leads. It's starting to get interesting at ep. 3, I can feel their strong bond. By the end of ep. 4 I felt connected to the story. It was painful and beautiful. Like I had an unrequited love and the feeling lingered with me.
In the end, we can understand why the man lead did what he did. Because his love is unconditionally.
I like that they make it short. It's perfect this way. It doesn't feel dragged or too long, just enough of proportion.

A slow paced, soothing lovestory
If you haven't yet, go watch it!! I suggest this drama not because of it's crazy production values or beautiful cinematography or anything as such. I suggest you this drama cause it's just a 4 episode-d short, warm and a beautiful portrayal of unrequited love. The story is very basic. TBH, if it's not for PHS's post on his instagram, I wouldn't even have watched this. I am glad I came across this. The cast did a very good job. Very less number of characters but numerous emotions portrayed. The screenplay, cinematography and overall production is very fair too. But I couldn't really embrace the songs/the lyrics written by Eunwoo much. I got the essence but that's it. This story or series isn't something you should watch or so. You can just watch this over a weekend. It's light hearted, no unnecessary scenes, and an overall a pleasant experience. I probably would not rewatch this, but I suggest you to watch this atleast once. Was this review helpful to you?
(Too) short and sweet!
I lament that this show was only four episodes. It's effectively movie-length when you add all the parts together, so don't expect some wildly complex (or even heartwrenching) plot. It was simple and straightforward all the way through.Naturally, one of the primary selling points of this show was watching Park Hyungsik and Han So Hee pleasantly grace our screens. Unfortunately, the chemistry didn't quite sizzle between them — the show was more muted and understated as a whole. Perhaps it was a consequence of the short format? Regardless, somehow I didn't feel too invested in their story.
If you're in the mood for something warm and cozy to brighten up a chilly day, this show might be the one for you. At a mere four episodes, you really don't have anything to lose by giving it a shot.

Disappointing
Didn't care for this one. The first half is slight and low key but pleasant, with charming scenes between the leads and appealing wintry production design to get the viewer in a cozy frame of mind. However, the second half was boring and/or frustrating. The show failed to develop the leads as individuals or their relationship satisfactorily. The extremely half assed gesture at the idea of a love triangle and the seemingly obligatory trip abroad+separation period were both maddening distractions. The shallowness of the story made the leads' inability to acknowledge their feelings toward each sooner feel contrived. We get one short scene with the leads as a couple and that's it, unacceptable! Was this review helpful to you?
Why so many have missed this ?
Everything about this drama was great. Even the length shouldn’t be longer. Best performances from both main actors. People are going to sau “My name” bu Han So hee is incredible in romance dramas and even more in romance/jealousy dramas. She gives such purity to her character, something we rarely seen from her. so why 8.5?Well as the title says “soundtrack” the music should have been better. The soundtrack, the song written process. Everything that deals with music should have been much more better. But as the rest follow we say amen.

Don't judge a book by its reviews
When I first clicked on this kdrama, it was mainly because of Han so hee, I became drawn to her presence ever since I watched "My name". Then I watched "Nevertheless", I did hate its ending but it still made her beautiful facial features more endearing to me. However, as a person who is picky and most times hard to please, I always prefer to read reviews and experiences of others before I get to decide on jumping in and experiencing things for myself, or not. Whether it be a city to visit, a book to read, a restaurant to try.. I always felt the need to seek others' opinion before setting expectations for myself. However, this time I wanted to trust my instinct. Seeing that I recently started feeling a certain desanchantment with the mainstream taste, Kdramas that get a lot of hype such as Vincenzo, Business Proposal, Descendants of the sun and so on, don't really amaze me or fill my needs. They are merely for entertainment..
The cliche plots, and cheesy moments of foolishness and angst really started getting to my nerves years ago, ever since I first dated a guy I liked. Not sure if it was because I got to actually compare real life relationships, with what the dramas has provided us with in terms of romance, but the overly cliche tropes no longer got me. I found myself more drawn to realistic plots, slices of life, revenge, things that depict reality or shed light on important life events that we tend to ignore or take for granted.
After the kdrama "Recipe for farewell", "Something in the rain" and "Yumi cells", I finally understood the genre that represents me. Something calm, sweet, relatable, aesthetically soothing, and that fills me with emotions. I found out that the most famous kdramas, were nothing like this, and even the ones that have such a genre, get bashed for it. And this exactly why I've decided to give this miniserie a chance.
I prepared myself with a shield of very low expectations, trying not to get excited with cute scenes and expecting the worst possible ending. I mean people were rating it 6.5 and 5, so just by curiosity I wondered how bad could it turn out to be? It only has 4 episodes, and I figured that I could bear that much mediocrity.
But guess what ? I ended up LOVING it! It had exactly the elements I specifically enjoy finding in a drama. Two main leads that have artistic and unusual careers, a strong chemistry and great dynamic that is different from the regular "lust and obsession from the first sight" trope, No villains to ruin the charm, no unnecessary tragedies. An actual friendship dynamic that I could relate to, no cheesy lines in embarrassing moments, no toxic jealousy, no exaggerated reactions or expressions to serve a comedic purpose, and even the support characters felt like actual humans with their own motives, mindsets and life.
I especially appreciated how there was no drunk scenes in which the ML and FL touch and the laws of nature suddenly get disrupted (time stops, it starts raining out of the blue, the music plays then a car comes rapidly and pushes them to kiss and that smash lasts for over a century), like give me a break !
Albeit only 4 episodes, the story took its time to get unfolded. As it was kept minimalistic, it had no plotholes.
I was able to enjoy the visuals, the osts, and each line and scene actually helped me relate to both sides, and to understand the fondness and appreciation they have for each other mutually. The restaurant couple added a great touch, and the interactions they all had with different people didn't seem forced, and added to the story. I cried sincerely in the scene where she described how it felt to be abandoned, and her fear of losing him. It felt cathartic.
This is such a beautiful kdrama, HEARTWARMING is how I would describe it.
I definitely recommend it to people like me who are fond of calm things, and appreciate realism in kdramas.

An ode to unrequited love
The unrequited love plot is as old as time. Probably five seconds after the love poem was invented. If misused, it can waste a lot of time and energy while creating unproductive angst. Fortunately, with only 4 eps to play with, the Show only have time to fill out the CP's backstory and their present day trajectory and little else. This is a blessing. While the ML is definitely in love with the FL, the FL is growing more confused about their relationship and has to confront her own feelings towards the ML and decide a course of action that will have a huge impact on their future.
Initially, it can be frustrating to watch because time and time again we hear the age old excuse "I don't want to lose you as a friend. What if we breakup?!" On top of that we get both parties playing the noble idiot card on the pretence that they are doing the right thing by not getting in the way of each others' "happiness" thus compounding their woes.
As I mentioned before, with such a short runtime, we can easily focus on the leads' visuals and their chemistry. There can be no doubt of their close friendship but there is an underlying disturbance. Even when the leads are engaged in playful banter, there is a pensive undertone.
Looking at the story as a whole, it is quite transparent. If you are expecting twists and turns then this is not it. The focus here is on their interactions, reflective scenes and hidden messages. The words that are not spoken. Odes that can't be sung. Pictures that are seen but not see through.
The acting is good from the casts. Other than the leads, there are only a handful of supporting roles. They helped to tell the story and move things along. There is a little bit of skinship but this show is not about that. You will appreciate the swoon worthy moments so much more because you are shipping the CP while wishing and praying that the writer-nim is not going to pull a nasty trick on us.
The OST is wonderful. Moody, pensive and swooning as the mood shifts. Rewatch is there both because it is a nice love story but it is short enough for an easy binge.

simple but engaging
This mini-series is the definition of short and sweet. I loved every bit of it. Sure the storyline is simple and has been done many times before (friends to lovers trope), but the relationship dynamic was beautifully executed. This drama turned a cliché plot into something that felt real and touching. The pace was also perfect -- there weren't fillers or scenes that dragged on for too long. The cast definitely made this series worth-watching! Park Hyung Sik and Han So Hee are excellent at their craft and have great chemistry!!Was this review helpful to you?

Short but effective in its own way
Soundtrack#1 is a romantic work that was as beautiful and exquisite as a picture, with everything in its place to the point, however it was a shame that it couldn't last for many episodes, which might have been a better treatment in terms of character development and relationship of friendship to love exposure. The drama has a good soundtrack, soothing and alleviating oneself from any sadness, to create a good mood. Soundtrack #1 elicited sympathy from viewers by depicting the romantic story of ‘between love and friendship’ in a cute manner, bearing satisfactory results, although it could have been much more than that.
The major point missing in the drama was the connection they formed, their past wasn't much explored, how they connected and 20 years later, the bond still prevailed. This could have had a major impact in the story which otherwise ended with a very simple and cliche ending.
My Rating : 6.5/10

A LOT happens at a good pace within 4 hours
I'm just dumbfounded about how everything went so smoothly while so much happened in just 4 hours and it didn't even feel like that long. If you're looking for short dramas to watch with a friend, I 100% recommend this it is absolutely amazing! You should give it a try just for the actors in the drama, their acting was fabulous and the music goes very very well with the scenes and their moods and just the overall atmosphere. And as usual Park Hyunsik and Han Seoohee killed it. They're chemistry was just soo good! It's also a happy ending! So it'll save your heart! Overall it's another masterpiece. Definitely worth watching! ????❤️??Was this review helpful to you?
