Great idea poorly executed that dragged on for way too long

This is a BL that had the potential to keep people hooked and be breath taking IF it was 6 episodes instead of 12. The original story idea of parallel universes was unusual and great and the director managed to give a continuous atmosphere in the show that I have not seen in any BL, the closest I can describe to is the anime Noragami (if you are into anime you will get the reference).
The protagonists are good looking and their acting and chemistry is above average. The reasons why I lowered the rate:

1. There are way too many filler scenes between the friends and the protagonists that I ended up having to skip that offered ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to the plot except filling up episode time. I skipped them and didn't miss any information.

2. Completely unrealistic professional setting and people pretending to work on a movie that was so detached from reality that ended up annoying. I understand that it's not the focus of a romance show, but still, every episode was them working for 5 min and then a 20 min scene of celebrating their progress at the park/ bon fire/bar etc. Lame.

3. There should have been more explanation/back story to the travelling between universes, it started well with the support group and then it got abruptly dropped/minimized.

4. They had a chance to show the other people who travelled in the universe and their decisions but it was all focused on the original couple and their unnecessary scenes with friends.

You can have a good time watching it as long as you have the skip button ready to avoid the nonsense.

I never liked body swap tropes until this show.

To be honest, I didn't really like the trope before I watched it so when I found about it for the first time it didn't really catch my interest. But my friends kept pushing me to watch it until I eventually caved and watched it for them. I'm so thankful for them because without them I wouldn't have watched this amazing show. This show is so good! I loved every second of it! It's so captivating with it's story and I felt the acting was authentic. Puentalay for life! Even the side couples were interesting. Loved friendcredits, loved puen's portrait, Loved the hourglass. The attention to detail is crazy. I love this show and you should definitely give this show a shot even if you don't like body swaps!

so boring!

i cant believe how boring this series is. i started it with friends and it was such a chore watching it that i think if i was alone i wouldve dropped it. in the first few episodes vice versa tricks you into thinking that it will be fun. do not be fooled!! from episode 3-10 it is so so so boring. the reason is that they focus on the side plot so much that it is unbearable. the side plot is aside from boring, also unimportant to the story. i missed an episode and a half because i was making noodles and playing pokemon, but when i came back, alas, i had not missed anything important to the story! unbelievable! they do nothing for 10 episodes and then it gets interesting for the last 2. i think that the one guy cant move his face much and it bothers me bc i cant tell what his facial expressions are. my favourite character is the trans guy (very cool) i would give it a lower rating if it wasnt for the last episodes. they also kissed way too late in the series. i think the no kiss or romance made it boring also.

I love this Bl

First off, I want to express that this BL (Boys' Love) series is the first one I've watched in its entirety, with all 12 episodes.

Overall, I just love this BL. I simply adore stories and concepts like this. Once again, they've done an amazing job of hooking me into the story, even though I wasn't initially convinced by it.

As mentioned, I did have some initial issues with the story. I was very confused because the beginning with Talay and Puem was so cute. Their meeting at the airport and then during the film shoot. But I must admit, I didn't read the description of the series (I never do. I usually get my pre-info mostly from TikTok, haha). Then suddenly, he wakes up in another body in a different universe. That really threw me off. I thought I might dislike the series because Talay is in Tess's body and has to deal with the new universe and his friends/parents. And then the whole thing with Pakorn/Tun, who somehow has Tess, and Talay can't figure out why.

But my opinion changed instantly when Puem came back in Tun's body. And then the story really took off. I just love how they both try to live the lives of their respective bodies as best they can. And thus, their friends get to see their own friends and family. And the love that develops between them is so incredibly sweet. It was also cute that Talay never really saw/acknowledged that Tun/Puem was his portkey until the end.

But it broke my heart when Puem and Tun switched bodies again, and Talay and Tess were still trapped in their respective bodies. My heart still aches when I think about Talay waiting at the beach for a whole month until he could cross back over to his universe and reunite with Puem. And when they found each other again, well, we don't need to talk about that. I cried.

So, all in all, I LOVE THIS BL.

It was good?

This is a show that I randomly watched,it took me about three days.Firstly I think the sponsors are pretty annoying but I guess they need them if you are on a low budget.Sometimes the show was okay and great.I thought about watching it for Aouboom but i don’t think they were a side couple, they just got maybe a couple scenes. The chemistry was good.I do really like the story. It was kinda sometimes confusing and sometimes really good.My favorite characters are the nurse and Fuse. The good things are the Story ,Acting and the Intro.Just don’t have any expectations and just watch!!

Sottovalutata probabilmente.

Just a low stakes fantasy BL

Sometimes, it's not that deep!
This was a funky BL that tried to do a little bit more than they could, and that's ok. They can try again later!
So this drama is not that bad as some people say, but it is also definitely not as good as people say.
A lot of things were left unresolved (wtf are tess and tun doing in puen and talay's world???) and the world building was so-so, but it was fun enough and pretty low stakes for me. I watched this after Last Twilight, so this series already had a better ending than that...
Anyway, I liked the cinematography and the jimmyxsea had quite a few moments that made me smile at my screen.
If you're looking for a fun, kind of fantasy BL, this is for you!

One of the best series in the Body Swap genre

Vice Versa is a remarkable BL series that explores the concepts of identity and self-acceptance behind the veneer of body swap. The story is compelling and the characters have this uniqueness that you don’t see in a lot of other BL series.

On the surface the plot of Vice Versa is rather simple. 2 guys Talay and Puen swap bodies with Tess and Tun who reside in a different universe. The story is about the journey of these 2 protagonists to find their way back to their original world and discover the feelings they have for each other. But this story would not have been engaging if it were that simple. The series goes at lengths to explain the issues that such a body swap could have. We have the characters discussing about the responsibilities they have to ensure that they do not ruin the lives of the people whose bodies they possess. They actively work towards meeting the goals that Tess and Tun had put ahead for themselves all the while trying to navigate through the difficult situation of living a different life and finding their way back home. A relationship between the leads that starts as lost souls in a different universe, to acquaintances with the common goal to get to their own world, to friends working towards realizing their dream, to finally lovers dedicated to their relationship in both the worlds.

One of the strengths of the series is the lengthy explanation about people jumping through universes and what it takes to go back and the complications they can face while living in this unknown yet similar universe. Like Talay and Puen there are many others that have stuck in this universe and like them are struggling to find their true selves.

The chemistry between the 2 leads is palpable and their on-screen persona draws the viewers in to the story. The emotional nuances and subtleties conveyed by the actors further amplify the authenticity of the characters’ experiences. The intimate conversations between the leads and swoon worthy.

Although the story is captivating and the actors have been phenomenal there are times that the pace slows down significantly and you are waiting for it to be picked up again. There are certain aspects of the body swaps that are purposely kept vague so it can be molded in to anything at the later stage which made me feel that the concept was completely thought out.

In conclusion, this series certainly stands out due to its captivating story-line and wonderful performances. There are surprising number of guest appearances from actors and dialogues from other famous and successful BL series.

cute fantasy watch!

okay sO. doES it have so many product placements that at a point made me wanna throw the PC at a wall? absolutely. however, after from that and after thinking for a bit about other things that I don't enjoy as much about the show (the weird pacing, the questionable angles at times), i realised that this is partly a story about two people living other people's lives, in other people's bodies, and adjusting to how you can be your most authentic self while still having the responsibility of another person's life. maybe i'm looking too into it but i quite enjoyed that aspect of the show. how talay and puen found refuge in each other projections of both universes.
would recommend to people who like fiction in bls and pink in general.

Had Potential but used it only in the first few and last few eps.

I really liked it, especially because it's something different among all the school/university BLs that were already kinda sick of.
The idea is amazing; I loved the transitions XD.
In the first few episodes, both of them tried to fit into this new universe and I really enjoyed watching this part.
I loved how they hit of instantly, but there's one thing that i didn't really like: The transition from friends to lovers (or something more than just friends).
I felt like it was all over the place and just a bit chaotic with random moments and random kisses.
On the other side, I really started to love the last EPS again. How they both tried to get back into their universe and this weird in between of Tess & Pued.

Overall, i liked the beginning and the end, the middle was kinda unnessesary.
(+ i loved guns guest role)

My jaw hurts from smiling!

It got me screaming, hitting pillow and smiling ear to ear. It really is one sweet romance that makes your heart flutter! It also has its funny moments, especially everytime Neo appears! Love seeing this different side of him

Initially, I dropped this show as I found it quite slow, but I picked it up again after I watched JimmySea in Last Twilight. I'm glad I gave it another chance. It's worth it in the end.

It might starts off a bit slow, but once it picks up, it gets really good.

While there are lots of fluffy moments, this show isn't shallow at all. It brings with it life lessons around love, friendship, work and life in general. It got us thinking about things we might not consider on daily life. What if you get to live another life in other Universe? Would you want to live the other person's life or go back to your Universe? Why?

The only thing that bugged me is the product placement. It's common to have them and I understand why, but this show must have overdone it a little much. It felt annoying after a while when the script is written just for the sake of PPL. Like, how many times must the MLs stop to brush their teeth in 1 series?! Or, cook noodles, or eat that choc pie? or drink tea?

Like, there is easily 4 PPL in one episode. If we cut out those "forcefully written" script, I think we'll end up with 10 episodes, which then probably the show could have been more compact and exciting, lol

Besides that, I enjoyed everything else.

I really love JimmySea chemistry. It really warms my heart just watching them teasing, bickering, and falling head over heels in love for each other.

The ending is also very satisfactory for me, it's not rush at all.

I found it worth watching overall. Give it a try and you might just like it!
