Ensemble type of Romantic-Mystery-Comedy K-drama that is exciting to watch!

Tbh, I enjoyed watching this. I kinda started watching it with 10 episodes already available then stopped on the 11th, because I thought it was a 16-episode k-drama. You know, I don't want to wait for a long time to watch the next episodes so I planned on watching ep 12-16 in one day but then, I just found out that there were only 12 episodes T-T Anyway, I could say that it was super fun to watch! Jung Il Woo and Yuri's chemistry is so good. I actually thought they would give off awkward vibes. Don't get me wrong but I am a fan of Il Woo but based on the trailer, I didn't think they would look so good together.

If you love mystery k-drama with romance, then this is just right for you! But take note that the romance aspect is higher than the mystery, unlike other k-dramas that only have subtle romance. It was also comedic, thus, it also falls under the romance-comedy genre.

Here is my kinda-detailed review. I will only mention those that I want to. SPOILER AHEAD!

STORY: The plot was kinda simple. If you're used to mystery-thriller kdramas, you may have guessed what will happen (who's the culprit and all). But it was okay for me since as I've said, this drama is more of a rom-com than a mystery. The romantic line between the main leads is one of my favourites because it wasn't forced. They naturally grow with each other. Something that also really didn't add up to the plot is the NECKLACE. I thought it was such an important piece as how it was shown in ep 1 but it's actually not that of a big deal. Yes, the killer kept that necklace but that's it? Nothing else? Anyways, moving on to how the cast were written....
DON SE RA - I actually like that they didn't make her weak. Unlike some female leads who always need saving, Don Se Ra is smart and can protect herself and her love ones (though not all the time). She's the type of girl who would find a way to escape when kidnapped rather than just let her lover rescue her. She's a natural and I love her for that!
EUN SUN WOO - What else can be said? He's good (ooppss, right now, it is the character okay? not il woo). He's smart and he lives up to it. I love how his character was written. I mean, other main leads- no matter how smart they are- lose themselves when their loved ones are in danger. But for him, he's still that person who thinks of a way to outsmart others. however, he's somehow unnatural at the part where he was kidnapped. He was already stabbed, injured, tired, but how can he still has the strength to fight and outrun the others?
Yang Jin Mo & Na Hee: I wouldn't say that this is an unnecessary couple because they actually helped bring the main couple together. However, tbh, I skipped some of their parts because it is not related to either of the main lead's story. BUT! I do commend that they are written in a way that won't take off the spotlight from the main cast.

ACTING: Everyone was good, hence the rating. If the plot was written with a heavier mystery, I guess their good acting will be seen more.
>>> Ilwoo & Yuri: What else can be said? They're very good! They have the looks, the chemistry, the smiles! I'm actually a fan of Il Woo but I haven't watched any of Yuri's drama- including Bossam where they are the main leads. I was amazed by how she acts as it looked so natural. Even them as a couple looks natural! I even started watching shows wherein they are together and added Bossam in my list!

>>> HONG WOO JIN as Kim Jae Ha: He was actually good! I loved that they chose him though I did not know him before. The best scene of him for me was when he showed his true self. His character was hateful but while watching him act, I can't stop thinking how nice it is for him to be a villain. His eyes were so dark, yet his lips were smiling. If you notice it, the more he is mad as he talks, the more his lips turned into a heart.

>>> YOON SUN WOO as Kang Tae Joon: he's irritating, thus, he's successful as an actor! BWHAHHAH He made Kang Tae Joon so irritating yet at times, pathetic and lonely. Thumbs up!

MUSIC: I love the ost! SAVIOR by Baekho!

Jack of all trades, master of none

This Show starts well enough. There is a lot of energy, and it promised some interesting characters and novel mesh-up of genres. Unfortunately, after that initial burst of creativity, it quickly lost the momentum and settled on a plodding meh-ddle ground that felt more cliché than creative.

Let us dive deeper. The leads includes a crime fighting chaebol with a hint of Batman including a secret lair (their words). Of course, that means he is paired with a trusted sidekick who is both a lawyer and a hacker/tech guru. To amp up the odd pairing, the FL has superpower but has a difficult childhood. Yet she is always righteous and hardworking. The 2FL can bake yummy bread (….).

Yes, that is an eclectic mix but the writer-nims thrown in enough chemistry and fast paced action from the get-go to keep your interest for long enough to get over the initial hump. Unfortunately, problems soon start to surface.

For starters, this Show has so many plot holes and inconsistencies. It is almost as if the writer-nims brainstormed ideas and settled on a handful of good ones and then try to tie them together with bits of string.

There is also little character development. It is more like character regression. The detective/crime fighting ML solves almost no cases except for one personal one that has been ongoing for 20 years. Yet all the ducklings begin to line up as soon as the FL joins the team. The lawyer sidekick practices no law, he does the usual techno babble, and everything magically appear on his screen. BTW, he drives a van that Scooby-Doo will be proud of. The FL barely ever uses her superpower, and the impact is marginal and contrived. The 2FL is there purely as comic relief and the love interest of the 2ML. Everyone just seems to settle into cliché roles.

This means the tone and direction of the show is all over the place. One minute it is slapstick comedy, next scene can be sickly sweet romance and then it becomes deadly serious. Some shows can pull this off like the Law Café but this show just feels scatty and manic. Maybe this is because of the writer-nims’ inexperience. Both credited script writers have little writing experience prior to this show and sadly, it shows.

Acting wise, it is a real mixed bag too. With the plot and tone going all over the place, the actors are prone to overact or just look a bit lost without clear directions. Most of them gamely soldiers on but it is a tough gig. There are lots of one-note characters which doesn’t help the the show's cause.

In the end, I was thankful that it is only 12 episodes long as I was wondering where the show is going at the end of ep.9. It is watchable, it has its moments, but it is like looking at a storyboard of hand picked scenes and a matching checklist from Script Writing 101. Could a more experienced writer-nim deliver a better script or would it be better to leave this sleeping dog alone?

The story overall is ridiculous to no end

To gloss it over I'd say the story is interesting enough to keep you engaged but let me be honest, the story is just too dumb. A CEO part-timing as a detective to uncover the murder of his mother and a girl who has supernatural hawk-eyes and can see for miles ahead of her. Oh and the girl is just too nosy btw. They gang up with the CEO's lawyer friend who is a part-time hacker to uncover the mystery. duh! (rolls eyes) The only normal person in this drama would be the girl's bestie who runs a bakery......

Oh and there is some underground(I think it's underground) secret lair for the gang as well. This story reminds me of those children's detective stories I used to read when I was a kid..... extremely childish and not very realistic.

The story overall is ridiculous to no end and the plot is so so. I wouldn't actually recommend anyone to watch this.

Mediocre Job

A story with potential but quite a few loopholes. The acting could have been the saving grace however at some points it did get a bit over the top in my opinion; funny at times, but mostly cringe. Production of the show though is appreciable and so is the OST. I don't think I'll ever re-watch this. If there is another season then that might be another story and I might end up watching it but that'll be with hope for a redemption arc for Kang Tae Joon and maybe a possible introduction with his son.

All-in-all I probably would have dropped this show sooner if I wasn't in a major procrastination cycle due to an exam in 2 days (wish me luck :3), though should mention for a one-time watch where you have nothing else to do, this is a good option (only in this particular situation does it deserve a Good Job).

Fun to watch but just one time only.

Overall, it was ok. the ML was great eye candy and he was good in the role. the FL is meh for me. There's not much chemistry between them and I feel maybe another actress would be much suited for the role. The FL in Crazy love looked very alike the FL here but definitely more younger looking. current FL looks older than ML and I keep thinking that she's the big sister. Maybe that's why the chemistry fell a little flat. ML is too boyish and cute, even as the CEO, he looks like he's being playful. and FL a little too matured to be matched with him.

LIITTLE ILLOGICAL AT TIMES BUT I LIKED

It started really strong the story , the acting everything was good and i was hooked. I even gave it a 10 star rating because i like it so much, it had so much potential and could have been a little better i feel like their love story was a little rushed at the end and it would have been a little better if they got together like one or two ep ago but still they managed to wrap their story up beautifully.
As for the episodes the first half was very good and the later half felt a little bit draggy but it was not something to drop the drama for me at least.
Also i didn’t exactly like the second lead couple i think they had a little too much screen time but they do help the main couple get together.
So i suggest that you do watch this drama as it’s definitely worth watching and overall mystery about who the actual killer was is nice but there were a few loopholes that should have been answered.

CHeesy, ridiculous but they got me smiling like a fool

The storyline and writing is nothing to marvel about, however sometimes we just need dumb shows.
Acting is solid, characters are visually appealing.
Its not something to watch to analyse just go with the flow and have fun.
Romance comedy unseriousness and soo much joy.
Will be finishing this cause sometimes lighthearted stories just satisfy the taste palate.
Waiting to see how the second leads romance develops but the Main leads are doing good so far.
Definitely a fantasy environment setting, nothing makes sense or applies to reality but its still a very good watch.

Season 2 Please!

Good Job (2022)

Likes
1. Light and fun kdrama! Plot is simple but i like their silly disguises and solving cases.
2. The show was mostly carried by the great chemistry between the main leads Sera and Sunwoo and the second leads Jinmo and Nahee. They were funny, sweet, romantic.
3. I also loved the bromance between Sunwoo and his best friend Jin Mo and secretary Director Hong.
4. Also liked all the OST songs.

Dislikes
1. The villain is predictable (at least to me), felt like he tried too hard to be like Joo Dan Tae (lol) and I still dont really get his motive (sounds shallow).
2. The other "bad guy" was just too angry from episode 1 without really saying why he is that way to Sunwoo.
3. Detective Han was largely useless except for the last episode. Which was too bad coz he would have been a great part of the team.

Rating: 8.5/10 (8 for the story + 0.5 for the leads)

This is a light drama with overflowing chemistry !

First of all , this drama doesn't make me tired because it's so light , fun but still have a purpose. that's it. This 100% saved by Kwon Yuri and Ilwoo's acting skills + chemistry.

This is my fourth dramas watch an actress Kwon Yuri. I can see she has great acting skill but sometimes she has no eyes for a great drama ( i mean good directing and good scripts).

Hopefully this year she will choose a great drama. I'm rooting for her. Because ilwoo's seems already choosing one ... so Yuri need to take another project abd i hope it's bring out her acting skill like in Bossam.

Good Job are for those k-drama watchers who are burnt out with stress from watching suspenseful and stressful dramas that are full of plot twists. Good Job will re-energized you with it's good humor and light but very meaningful story. You will also feel the love between the romantic partners and the friendship between the main and supporting characters. Over all, it's a must watch.

It was very fun and the actors and actresses have portrayed their roles very well that even though the story was kinda lacking, it didn't matter that much as they have compensated it with their talents in acting.

I wished they have contributed more to the story line, I guess the writers haven't fully decided on what to do with Sera's superpowers as they have not explained much about it, only that Sera experiences headaches when she overuses it. It would have been nice if they decided to have it like Extraordinary Attorney Woo where every episode, there's a new case to handle. It would be very lovely if they got to investigate new cases every episode too using Sera's powers while the story line is on going, It would have been a hit. I hope there's a season 2 where they could give Sera's powers some justice.

Disastrous Job

It's a really cheap, lazy and outdated copycat that had no soul or identity to speak of. This shouldn't have been released in 2022. The cast were fine but they should've had some standards when picking up their projects. The synopsis emphasized on the drama having a love story and romance but that doesn't happen until the last 1/4. During which, the drama pushed their romance into our faces to a sickening level without actually being romantic but more like children discovering attraction to the opposite sex type of romance. The story and writing were practically nonfunctional on a literary level that it made me feel ashamed for finishing it. I wanted to draw some parallels between it and orange cats but I would be insulting orange cats. It was broadcasted by ENA, I should've known better.
