A masterfully done crime thriller, mercilessly progressing offside the beaten track
Fabulous! "Your Honor" is a masterfully done crime thriller, mercilessly progressing offside the beaten track – with an upright protagonist maneuvering himself deeper and deeper into a hopeless fiasco.Right and wrong, black and white – they turn out to be impractical templates. Almost everything and everyone will be turned upside down at some point, and the entanglements will become more and more devastating.
In "Your Honor" suspense isn´t exactly associated with an arc. It is rather smoothly taking one loop after the other. When it comes to the protagonists: it is emotionally intense, yet at the same time controlled to the extreme, calm on the surface, though concentrated to the max. And yes, it is cruel and merciless at (most) times, too. In a dark vesture and at the same time with disarming grace this KDrama is fathoming personal boundaries of what is bearable and often enough even exceeding them.
PS:
“Your Honor” is based on the original series Kvodo by Shlomo Mashiach, for which several international remakes have since been produced.

Loved the Beginning, the Ending Not So Much
This show ended in a hasty manner and I didn’t even realise that it was over!Starring Son Hyun Joo, Kim Myung Min, Kim Do Hoon & Heo Nam Jun in lead roles, the show was a fast paced thriller. The storyline remained focused on the father-and-son dynamics, with the antagonist pair struggling against the just ones. We can’t exactly call them just, because Song Pan Ho (Son Hyun Joo) and Song Ho Yeong (Kim Do Hoon) both resorted to nefarious plans, for their own benefits. The show was characterized by uncalled violence, a typical revenge saga throughout. While I’m not condoning their acts, at one point of time; it becomes difficult to differentiate between the protagonists and antagonists; because both engage in schemes that inevitably lead to several deaths. It was both painful and heartbreaking watching them each wage an unnecessary war where no one wins.

Did Evil Win? Something to Ponder.
I have very mixed feelings about this ending. On one hand, it feels like the punishment wasn't harsh enough, but on the other, from a more realistic perspective, it was probably the most fitting conclusion. The judge committed atrocities, was directly and indirectly involved in numerous crimes, and played a part in this horrific chain of murders—ranging from children to the death of the officer he cared for the most. And in the end, the true villain, the one behind all this tragedy, got away with just a non-lethal gunshot wound to the chest. For a moment, I wanted to believe the judge had hidden the officer to deliver a checkmate, but that was just wishful thinking.
Both the judge and the mob boss faced their punishments. But was it enough? Some might say no, myself included. However, in terms of representing the harshness of real life, I think it was a fitting end. Did I sense a subtle hint of a second season in the final episode? Maybe. But honestly, it’s probably better to stop here. The takeaway is that trying to put out a spark from hell won't get you anywhere; we must face our mistakes and pay for them.

It did not wow me!
The storyline was very interesting, and it was engaging to see how the events would unfold and whether justice could be served. The beginning of the drama was good, but it became slow and a bit draggy in the middle.Honestly, the judge was incredibly annoying. He practically begged the gangster to spare his life multiple times, promising to do anything, yet he repeatedly stabbed the gangster in the back without considering the consequences, all to save his reputation. I despised his character. Moreover, the entire situation arose because of his son, who disregarded the consequences of his actions and their impact on others.
The ending was very fitting, as a punishment that causes immense suffering is preferable to justice.

A Father's Love
Wow. This dived quickly into the main conflict as well as setting up how we should view our main leads-morally gray. I don't feel the need to root for anyone but I'm intrigued by both men,and the eldest brother. It's an emotional and tensive story about a father's love pushed to its limit, one through revenge and the other through risky means of protection. I am aware this is a remake of a remake but I have no intention of watching the originals for comparison.
Great cinematography, dramatic, pounding music and dialogue that doesn't feel too preachy. I like so far.

Don't Lie
The story is about a Wise Judge who turns evil to cover his child who got into a car accident. The problem is that his child killed someone who is one of the richest families. Wise judges don't want to be involved with them and manage to hide the cases that lead to more complex problems. It's also killed other innocent people which makes him confused about what to do after all things that are already happening to protect his child. That's where the story becomes interesting. Was this review helpful to you?
How far do you go, what rules are you willing to bend? A father's love.
A bit slow-burn, but the end of each episode had me looking forward to the next. I initially took some of the acting as apathetic (I expected more emotions from certain characters at certain instances), but it worked out as the show progressed. Evoked a weird sense of emptiness (in a good way). Last episode was just a bit sloppy, but overall still good watch. I thought it was valid. It did leave the feeling of wanting more but you can imagine where the end's events would go moving forward. Regarding where our two protagonists were left, I found the ending fitting. Some of the comments discouraged me from seeing it through, but it was well worth it.Was this review helpful to you?
I came for jung eunchae
This won't really be a fair review since i didn't come for the plot nor did i pay attention to it, initially i was gonna, but eunchae didn't appear until the end of episode 5 so that's where i started watching, i didn't really pay attention to the plot afterwards either cause i was just looking at her so that's what i'm gonna be talking about, sorry if it's out of topic, you guys need to undertand i accidentally developed a crush on her, i saw her in jeongnyeon and she stole my heart (i'm a girl!!!!!) I'm so weirded out by this i feel like i'm back to being 12 yo having a crush on celebrities only back then it was just guys, so i looked her up and apparently she never had short hair until this year, honesty i wouldn't have noticed her with long hair (i already watched the guest), so i think the combination of short hair + her facial features did something to me, i hope to see her be the main role in some future works and i hope she keeps this hair for ever!I love her for now uwu T.T

Great if you like this kind of show.
I never watch dramas of this genre, but my sister had loved the American version so we were both interested in seeing how things played out in this one.I wouldn't say this show was boring, but it just didn't have me excited to keep watching. The last two episodes are when things finally started to interest me. The whole show, I was already set on this not being a good watch, but the last two episodes made me think differently of the show. I thought the ending was pretty good, I always love a plot twist.
Besides that, I don't have much to say about this drama, given I didn't love it. My favorite part was the romance, which obviously wasn't shown a lot, which is probably why I gave it this score.

Just watch the other drama of the same name instead
Lacking most of the time, ending is rushed and makes you feel like you wasted your time.As usual, chaebols chaebols chaebols chaebols chaebols.
slow and draggy, you can just skip the first and last 10 minutes of each episode and you'll be fine.
Spineless MC and very tolerant villain is what ruined the show yet we wouldn't have a show without either of them...

I love kim dohoon
This drama is good to watch in one seat since its only have 10 episodes and you will feel tempted to know what will happen in the next episode. The plot twist of the story really twisted well and did not give any cliffhanger untill the last episode.Want to watch this because dohoon act as main character(hoyeong) and his character really well represented revenge person and psycho behavior. Eun is such a lovable character, even the family is really toxic they never spread negative energy to Eun and always be nice to her (even Sanghyeok being nice to her is so cute) but live in negative family and lovable child is so sad and i pity Eun for Hoyeong loss.
