The writers didn't know what they wanted out of the story.

As the headline says, the writers either didn't know what they wanted, or decided it was okay to create a story that is very distasteful to the complexities of life and people.
They chose to portray a world that was black and white, where having incredible strength gives a person the right to judge, jury and executioner.
They decided it was okay to allow people never wronged by life to judge the fate a person who was only ever wronged.
To decide who does and does not get a second chance.
The only thing they gave depth to was Shi-oh as a character, and even that they messed up, by tossing him aside as common garbage, simply for the methods he ( had no choice but to use ) so as to avoid dying.
He was a bad person, but he was a person that wanted to live, and the dramas only message was that he should have just died to begin with, rather then become a bad person to survive.
If this character was in a different drama, i wouldn't mind, but in this drama its insulting.
The drama is a joke, in a very misguided and tasteless way, with shallow characters and an even more shallow representation of people and the struggles they go through.
In the end, the (good) characters were worse then the villain, because what good is a good heart when its conditional upon a persons actions.
They justified their own actions because it was for the good.
Many people thought that, and they were seldom right.

The female lead was so annoying and had the maturity level of a kindergartener. She was extremely annoying and it was so hard to watch the scenes with her. The only thing that saved this drama was Byeon Woo seok who played Ryu Si-o so well! The villain was brilliantly portrayed, by him. He was evil, heartless, cruel, and so good looking and the actor made the audience somewhat sympathize with his situation and what made him that way. I wish they hadn’t ended his character that way and he was still alive. Very disappointed. I would prob rewatch with only his scenes. I could look at Byeon Woo Seok all day. I hope to see him in more roles.

QUE BAGULHO RUIM

Personagens tchongos;
Protagonista songa monga;
A mãe da Namsoo então nem se fala;

TUDO ME IRRITA NESSE DRAMA ATÉ A CAPA.

uma única ressalva é o vilãozinho, assisti por ele mas não passei do episódio 4 (foi muito ainda)

this drama is awful

the beginning was good and everything seemed pretty well until the reunion of mother and daughter. the show turned cringe, no proper plot twists, bad acting and no chemistry between the leads at all! the ending was weird as well. the only plot twist was very predictable. the focus was more on the mother and the grandmother and there were so many plot holes. overall i would never recommend and yes please dont waste ur time watching this. i watched with the hope that it can turn good at any moemnt but alas it didnt. disappointed by the female lead. and there is no comparison between this and the og

The biggest disspointment of the year!

Many plotlines either dragged on or were completely forgotten, the women were OP as f$ck, the men in the family were obnoxious, the main couple was barely developted but the worst ofender was the treatment of the villain. The guy was beyond saving, but If you give us a character with such a heartbreaking story, at least give us a hero with a heart. Nam Soon used his feelings like they were nothing! If you are going to make us care about him, why can't the main "hero"? It became very hard to root for her. This and Love Alarm were the two dramas I hated the most.

WHAT THE HELL?!!!?

I enjoyed the first few episodes, interesting comedy but it seemed to just work.
Wasn't sure about Nam soon but in the beginning I didn't mind her, I disliked her by the end though.
The three strong women had little to be desired to be honest, whether by poor writing and characterisation or just simply not being my cup of tea, I do not regret saying I didn't like any of them.
So much power basically wasted with bad writing and characters.
Hypocrisy everywhere and i swear some points i couldn't understand what the writer was on.
Didn't ship the mains at all, didn't feel any chemistry and just in general I found the male lead boring.
The story was so disappointing and cliche and underwhelming, i watched it all but i feel cheated. I feel unsatisfied in every way.
Only reason i stuck it out and finished it was Ryu Shi Oh. The most compelling character in the whole show.
I couldn't believe how they let him end.
This poor abandoned child made into a monster just wanted one person to stay by him, yet even the woman he fell for abandoned him and lied to him.
Yes he killed people, he's a flawed character that was put through hell. No excuses but the way this all played out was awful writing in my opinion.
I'm so upset l can't say anymore.

Anyway get Shi Oh's actor a main part in something mafia or anti hero because he was the best thing in this. Raised rating slightly from 2.5 to 3.5 for him and some scenes in the beginning.

An absolute horrible show. Don't waste your time.

I will say I was excited for this having seen the first strong girl series but this one was just horrid. It lacked the chemistry, comedy and action of the first one. The FL and ML had zero chemistry.
I can't believe this drama was written by the same person that wrote 'Strong Girl Do Bong-Soon' because it is soooo bad. And I mean, really bad... If you like 'Strong Girl Do Bong-Soon' just skip this, trust me!
The main female lead's acting is really weird and it makes the main character look so stupid. Her acting is just so irritating. She is supposed to portray a strong girl but she keeps making such weird facial expressions like she has brain damage or something, the character looks so dumb because of her acting, not to mention the weird power they added for the character, now she can jump and has supervision too!

Lastly, please don't waste your precious time to watch this show.
The only exciting thing about this series was the original couple's cameo.

A big Disappointment!! I hate what they did to Ryu Shi Oh's character.

SWDBS is one of my favorite kdrama but SGN is bullsh*t. I give Strong Girl Namsoon 1 out of 10. Here are the reasons why…
Let’s talk about positive things in this drama;

1. This is a Comic drama where I wasn't expecting logic.

2. Min-min couple cameo:

Park Bo Young as Do Bong Soon and Park Hyung Sik as Ahn Min Hyuk are the cutest couple in the kdrama world. Their cameo is the reason for me to watch this.

3. Kim Jung Eun as Hwang Geum Joo mother of Namsoon:

Those who didn’t watch the drama might think that this kdrama is all about Hwang Geum Joo and she is the main lead cuz she lit the screen and we saw her as an ML instead of a supporting character.

4. Fans including me love the villain Ryu Shi Oh aka Byeon Woo Seok:

Yes, He is the villain so he should at least die like a villain and not just a side character. I was disappointed with the writer cuz they didn’t do justice to his character instead killed him pathetically. Cuz of his popularity he could have become the greatest villain of the Kdrama world but writers did him wrong. I wasn't shipping him with Namsoon obviously cuz he is the villain so make him bad but not pathetic, please.

Now the minus points and why fans don’t like this drama much;

1. Lee You Mi aka Kang Nam Soon acting is cringe-worthy:

She gained quite a popularity after the Squid game and All of Us Are Dead. In the beginning of the few episodes she was doing okay but in the middle, her acting was getting more and more cringe. she tried so hard to look cute that she forgot to act and in the last 2 episodes, she was so done with her acting.

2. No chemistry between the main leads:

Their romance was forced and not what we enjoy, they have no chemistry between them. There was also no love triangle cuz she was friendly with Ryu Shi Oh and some fans shipping them. The director and the writers could have made the main lead romance worthy to watch but they failed.

3. Lots of side characters with story and screen time:

My question is why? those characters have zero contribution to the story. There are lots of unnecessary side characters who are given screen time instead of creating chemistry between the main leads.

4. Namsoon's grandmom Gil Joong Gan has a much more interesting love life than her.

5. It’s not only Lee You Mi who did bad acting but other characters also do that and the fact that Hwang Geum Joo throws money on everyone's faces and they just accept it like Namsoon's adoptive mother she won’t even hesitate and happily accept it like a bagger.

7. The whole story roams around a drug case related to a Russian mob group and in the end, they still have not completely resolved it.

8. Creating Ryu Shi Oh emotional backstory with an extremely difficult childhood and then showing that he is doing that to find his friend (in the starting) and in the end, his same friend just came to kill him… is so messed up what writers wanted to do?

9. There were lots of plot holes and things which were not make any sense which we could have ignored if the drama gave us something to ignore.

The only reason for me to watch the whole drama was Byeon Woo Seok and it was so difficult to finish this drama… I had to force myself to watch the last 2 episodes It was unbearable. I give it 1 star please don't make Season 3. I will not watch it!!

I don’t recommend Strong Girl Namsoon even if you are a Strong Woman Do Bong Soon fan.

Don't expect too much

I know this is too late for the review but i badly wanted to give review for this. my first worst experience in kdrama No words......Total disappointment.. Cringe at the most... I never wrote a negative review.. But this one made me do it.. Story ok as we know something abt it bcoz of bong soon, but rest too bad, even the acting of the big artist not so good, a fake daughter came in and do all that and she just simply forgive her. Male lead and Female lead chemistry didn't work out, the two thing i like abt it was the villain and the father characters

Decepcionante

"A Lackluster Sequel"

Strong Woman Namsoon's sequel falls short of its predecessor in several key aspects, leaving me longing for the charm and chemistry that made the original a hit. The absence of a strong connection between the main leads is glaring, robbing the series of the magnetic force that once held me captivated.

Surprisingly, the villain manages to steal the spotlight, capturing my' heart with a love story that outshines the lackluster romance between the protagonists. His charismatic smile and towering presence become unexpected highlights, overshadowing the supposed central love story.

Regrettably, the sequel fails to deliver a compelling mystery, leaving me yearning for the intricate plotlines that characterized the original. Forced comedy among family members further diminishes the series' appeal, creating awkward moments that disrupt the flow of the narrative.

However, amidst the disappointment, there are a few redeeming qualities. The villain's unwavering love and trust towards the female lead provide a refreshing dynamic, offering a rare glimpse into a complex and compelling relationship. The villain's endearing smile and imposing height become unexpected sources of enjoyment, injecting moments of charm into an otherwise lackluster storyline. I just love him ❤️❤️❤️..

Additionally, a standout character emerges in Namsoon's mother, who proves to be a true badass, adding a layer of strength and depth to the narrative. Despite the sequel's shortcomings, her character stands out as a beacon of resilience and strength.

In conclusion, Strong Woman Namsoon's sequel falters with a lack of chemistry between the leads, a captivating villain who steals the limelight, and a noticeable absence of a compelling mystery. While there are moments to appreciate, particularly in the villain's character and Namsoon's mother, the overall experience falls short of the expectations set by its predecessor.
Its really disappointing 😔

Not Good Enough

Korean Drama '' Strong Girl Nam Soon '' is a fantasy comedy.

The drama tries to live up to its popular prequel, but doesn't manage to be enjoyable. The main lead was not cute, but childish and immature, which ended up being annoying and tiring to watch.

The story was boring as well. After Nam Soon found her mother, which was probably the most interesting part of the drama, things went downhill. Overused tropes, a boring and without chemistry romance, a messy love triangle that didn't make sense, lukewarm action scenes, and cheesy comedy, were all elements that led to the disaster that the drama eventually was.

The performances, at least, were decent enough. The cameo of the old characters was a nice touch as well.

So, overall, two out of ten.
