Worth the Watch!!
Trust me, it’s a good show so far.I’m blushing for every interaction the ML has with the FL. Both actors are very good and I’m in love with them. I’m binge watching the show right now and I’m addicted. It’s a very sweet romance and it’s not too cringy like some other shows I’ve watched. I really like the storyline where the girl falls in love with her brother’s friend, that got me to watch it since it’s very catchy. Zhao Lusi and Duan are very good at their roles and they’re both super attractive. I wish they do more shows together in the future; they look so good together.

Immature female lead with a baby voice
One of my friends recommended me this drama and explained a bit of the plot that a 14 year old girl starts to like her elder brother's friend and they fall in love when she's an adult. I found it a bit weird but decided to give it a try.The 1st episode was alright but from the 2nd episode Zhao Lusi's baby like voice started to annoy me. I thought it would get better but it never did. They dragged the drama through 10 episodes of the female lead acting immature (she flew to see her crush who had a girlfriend with no other thinking of whether her family will worry or the fact that she didn't have any money and she also gave her family a lame excuse of going to meet her online boyfriend).
After that, she started ignoring the male lead for many years just because he broke her promise of not telling her that he had a girlfriend. When she got into university, they met coincidentally and instead of apologizing for ignoring him all these years, she called him an "old man". All the male lead did was to take care of her like his younger sister and in turn she ignored him for years and insulted him for his age even tho their age difference wasn't much.
That was my last straw and I stopped watching it after 10 episodes.

Well-written, light and heartwarming drama
Finally, have finished watching all the 25 episodes. You may see some comments I made while watching the drama in the "Comments" section.Tbh, I seldom watch Chinese dramas, let alone write reviews, but I think this drama deserves my review. It is a very well-written, light and heartwarming drama about a young girl who had a crush (or "puppy love" as they called it) on her brother's best friend when she was a teenager, which develops into genuine and unconditional love for him when she enters university and becomes an adult.
I love the storyline, it's simple, light, and heartwarming, without any major villains -- the only so-called "villains" would be the ML's ex-creditor who kept on harassing him, and her friend who happened to be the FL's superior in the company where she's interned, and some schoolgirl bullies who bullied the FL's friend when they were still at school.
The rest are all positive characters with heartwarming relationships and their respective chemistries. I love the brother-sister relationship between FL and her brother, as well as between FL and her brother's friend with whom she is secretly having feelings. Love how they act as protective elder brothers to protect their mei mei from bullies. Love the bickering between the elder brother and the younger sister. Their acting is awesome and feels natural.
I also love the buddy friendship between the ML and the FL's elder brother, as well as the friendship between the FL and her three roommates at the university. I also love the FL's parents, both the mom and dad are portrayed as ideal parents who eventually are very supportive of their daughter.
Everything is being portrayed warmly. I believe this is partly due to the amazing acting performance of the actors, not only the main actors but the supporting actors as well. Their acting is awesome and feels natural. The main lead actress, Zhao Lusi, stands out for being able to portray the main FL character from her teenage years until she graduates from university. She is very pretty, cute and adorable. I also love the acting of the SML Victor Ma, who portrays the FL's elder brother. His bickering and interaction with her little sister (both the young and the adult version of the sister) is very heartwarming to watch - thanks to his superior acting skills.
Another thing, the younger FL character is depicted to be 14 years old (8th grade), but the young actress portraying the character (Zhang Xi Wei) seems to be younger, around 11-12 years old, I think? Her acting is awesome for a child actress her age, it's always a delight watching her on screen in the earlier episodes. I predict she will become an amazing great actress when she grows up.
It's a highly recommended drama everyone should watch.

Bangus banget gilak, sampe sekarang pun masih belum move on dari mereka padahal udh berbulan" selesai nontonnya. sumpah keren banget, zhao lu si actingnya bagus woii, malah pairingnya sama czy pula, bener" perfect combo. romancenya pun brutal banget, banyak adegan romantis yg bikim senyum" sendiri. adegan persaudaraannya pun bener" bikin kiri. semua yang dimiliki zhao lu si aka sang zhi di drama ini bikin semua perempuan pada iri sama dia hahaha keluarga supporr, abang baik, pacar bener" diratuinWas this review helpful to you?
Cuteness Overload?
If ur into first love kind of drama then this must be ur thing. Since it's Zhao Lusi i have nothing to say against it, as always she's giving her best shot into acting that made it look realistic and convincing. She's superb anyway! THE ONLY COMING OF AGE FLUFFY LOVE WORTH WATCHING
I had put this drama at the back burner for awhile now and when i ran out tears from watching historical hearth breaking Kdramas, I picked it up to revive my heart and heal my shattered emotions.I always keep Zhao Lusi's work safe in a corner and watch when i need motivation and a few laughs cos this girl can give you hope with her talent and her mental dialogues.If you watch her drama just know that you will be watching another drama inside the drama,Zhao lusi make up her own side dialogues,you will have hard time differentiating the real vs the acting,she a natural,am sure directors and script writers often agree with her additional input.Another reason I hadnt watched HL was because I tend to stay away from over hyped dramas but Zhao Lusi made me break my strike cos i knew whatever she touched would be gold.
Now I understood why people loved it soo hard,I found myself scrolling the BTS for one hour just because i couldnt move on from it.The acting for all that were involved was top notch,the was few complexities but they didnt last long and the ML back story was the only thing that brought few drops to my eyes and to see someone going though this pain but pushing through was amazing..And him meeting the FL character and learning to love and be loved again isnt what we all thrive for?The siblings relationship was the best in all Cdramas.
The OST that accompanied these moments was wow,the only thing I love about Netflix picked shows is that the music will be fire like the chemistry between these two leads.Am old enough to know better but i found myself having to need air and oxygen cos wow,the stares themselves would melt the iceberg.. They knew how to do it,especially the ML...this man is the king of deep stares.
To future viewers go ahead and be fluffed by this well acted young love without cliches

Creepy and Weird asf.
I've watched 10 episodes. It's common for girls to idealize handsome older boys but I totally agree that the way the story is told is very strange. I just cannot accept the male lead's behavior. Why would a guy who is supposedly always busy working to make a living go to all the trouble to pretend to be her brother? Did he do anything to feel he owes anything to the girl?Then at every encounter they ever have he never even says "Hi". He'll say something cheesy or even start flirting with her in front of her brother/his friends. At the same time, he is protrayed as Mister Perfect. Give this guy a different appearance and people will say he is a pervert.
It's their third meeting and he gives her a bottle of milk by pressing against her cheek when he approaches her from behind.
Also he insists she should spend the morning with him doing homework. Then that essay he wrote for her. Why was that necessary?
People of different ages may become friends, but this relationship needs some foundation, like shared interest or a desired to protect the weak one. Is she ignored by her family or bullied by classmates? There is absolutely for him to be so involved in her life and her affairs at this stage. I would definitely warn teenagers against such kinds of stories.

not my cup of tea
i truly could not continue it. i have seen so many people talk abt this drama and i was so excited to try it and see for myself how good it is.first like 2 episodes were alright,interesting and funny,but then i started to get annoyed at how Sang Zhi was acting. she was supposedly a 17 year old but acted like a 5 yr old. at first i was like okie...but then she just kept acting like that and it got so annoying i ended skipping so much through the episodes.
maybe im missing out on the rest of the story by dropping it like this here,but i just cant do it man
props to the ones that like it and could finish it👍🏻its just not my thing

a bit embarrassing to me...
I was a bit bored with my life, so I decided to watch the cdrama Hidden Love and the kdrama king the land on Instagram. The first thing that captivated me was Hidden Love. I liked it more visually. But now I've stopped watching Hidden Love and I'm only watching King the Land. The reason why I dropped Hidden Love and only watched king the land was that the acting of the actors of king the land was easier to watch. Of course, Hidden Love was more comfortable in terms of genre than king the land. I couldn't continue to see the acting of the actress who plays the female protagonist of Hidden Love. For example, when she did her performance of crying, she couldn't relate because of her voice. She was older and her performance was also a bit embarrassing to me. The performance of the child actor who played the heroine's childhood was better. Of course, the genre of king the land is outdated and not perfect, but at least I don't feel uncomfortable with their acting, so I'm going to keep watching it. I don't know when king the land will fall, but hahaha anyway, this is what I felt after watching my two personal dramas.Was this review helpful to you?
Disappointed
I was very excited to watch this series because of Zhao Lusi, butdropped it because of ML. I was not able to watch him onscreen,
somehow adjusted because of Zhao Lusi.
ML is not looking like a man in love, his expression is of lusty man.
In the first few episodes, he is looking like a pervert, a Pedophile.
Disappointed . They should had hired a good actor, with a little bit more mature love looks not a actor who's giving expression of a molester than a lover.

Dropped
The acting is bad except for the first episode.The music is decent.
The story is too slow. Can walk away to get some coffee and 20 min later and not miss anything. Can miss an entire episode and not miss anything. Being called 2nd brother over and over, him acting like a father figure but later wanting a romance is creepy.
Shouldn't be listed as comedy.
The hype is ridiculous. Started off at 9.9 on imdb and once it gets on Netflix, it'll probably dump faster when people try it like I did. Waste of time unless you are a 9 or 10 year old maybe.

Romance drama!
*This drama is full on ROMANCE, even the comedy is lacking and I can’t compare to Korean drama because this one doesn’t even has the same atmospheric tone like Korean drama, in KDrama where’s there Romance, there’s also a top-notch extra-bonus for the audience to enjoy, this one…. I don’t see, but CDrama can really do well when it comes to historical romance.* I only watch this drama because of the casting of Zen Li and Zhao Lusi collaborate again after LOVE LIKE THE GALAXY drama (also mother-daughter character) plus Zen Li so gorgeous (too bad her appearance in the drama so little to be seen), I love her… apart from that I’m not a fan of a teenage girl and a mid-20s guy love story…
* Zhao Lu Si star power worth every shot of her acting while Chen Zhe Yuan still lacking his skill especially emotional moments.
* it’s a very intimate relationship between a 19years old girl and a 26 years old guy already sound very fishy but totally popular in today’s society (also in the drama he’s 24 when he started having feelings for FL who is 17years)
*The death of his mother was not shown (only tell)
*The ML relationship with Jiang Ying was never shown what really happened between them that made the result that she attached to him, as we can see in the flash back she hate and despise him then what’s give?
* The small envelope the FL insert inside his wallet was never mentioned nor shown again
* The plot/storyline so realistic and relatable indeed but the only thing that’s so exaggerate and very unrealistic was the fact that the FL instantly became very matured & responsible when she became 19years old with a mind of a 30 years old woman, she maybe change because of ML charismatic, kind, humble and modesty character but do you really think a spoiled girl from a rich family can easily change because of love? that’s fairy tale story but anyway it’s a C-drama so what’s not impossible.
*The supporting characters (ML/FL friends) was only there as an extended part or to helped moved the plot forward in the drama apart from that it seems no one cares what’s going on in their decision moment & their development in life, they are like NPC (just like the ML gaming job LOL).
In conclusion, this drama worth watching it, it shows that Love can happen to anyone doesn't matter how old are you and it can make a person so crazy especially in decision making and confidence.
