OK, I guess. I'm just bitter about what could have been.
It had its moments, but falls short in execution for me. For a South Korea-Thailand "collaboration" it was missing any real sense of collaborating. The Thai male lead communicates solely in Thai and that is the extent of the Thai-related anything and him being Thai doesn't influence the plot really at all. It would really change nothing about the story to have him be from somewhere else, even just somewhere else in Korea. Like it is resolved so quickly with the ear pieces that it doesn't even take advantage of the potential misunderstandings that could come from not speaking the same language. And it never really seemed to explain how/why his assistant and manager apparently both understood Thai, but didn't speak it. Just as he understood Korean, but didn't speak it. Overall, it just felt half-baked. There was so much missed potential, it's hard to just focus on viewing it for what it is and not what it could have been.Also, this feels like a weird complaint, but their traumas both felt fairly light for the amount that it seems to affect them. Like a stray dog that used to be friendly, growled and snapped at him once and that's why Piuno is terrified of dogs. I mean, it was a stray. It could have been hurt or protecting its puppies. It's not even like it even actually bit him. He also saved the dog in the beginning because it reminded him of that dog, so he clearly still cared about it. And then Dae is afraid of love because he and his ex got outed as being a couple and his ex thought it would be better for them to break up. It was giving "Nobel Idiocy" trope, not betrayal. I mean, if they got outted and then ex ghosted him and then he spotted ex on a date with a woman, then I could see it a bit more. But this felt like the ex saw that Dae loved to sing and might want to pursue that career and didn't want to stand in his way. But, maybe I've just seen too many of the more angsty dramas where you have people who were SAed by someone they should have been able to trust (stepparent/friend/partner/etc), born and raised in a secret room with nearly no human interaction, watched one or both parents die, been kidnapped, almost been murdered by relatives, etc.
The reality TV show seemed a bit odd to me. And the woman was frustrating, but also seemed incompetent. When she saw the dog come back and they were reunited the other woman in the van was in tears and she was really like "ugh this won't get views" like...are you dumb or just clueless? And then she proved she was both by ignoring the contract they'd signed which could get her fired/sued.

Where’s the love and the cat?
I’m not the type to make a review with only three stars, but it was not a good series. This title literally reminds me of old fashion cupcakes were they ate everything, but a cupcake and Love Is like a cat is the exact same thing which is their is no cat! The setting is at a dog cafe and they only showed a dog which they had to send to heaven which almost made me cry, but can one dog just stay alive in a series. I’m not a big fan of mew since I literally can’t get passed ep 4 of Tharntype because in my opinion it’s such a bad show, but this show also wasn’t really for him. I don’t have a problem with the mixed language dramas because I’m so used to hearing different languages in real life that it feels normal for me, but it’s kind of confusing to me on how people can understand Pi Uno while a lot of people can’t, but also I’m wondering if Uno can already understand his boss, hyung, and father then why does he have to wear an headphone? Is it because it connects and translates to other people by it. I am also a huge fan of JustB which is were Dae Byeol and Gi Min are from so I definitely won’t hate any of them. I loved the plot twist of Gi Min liking Dae Byeol because I couldn’t even tell that was their. I think the reason why I didn’t really enjoy this show was because I just didn’t like the whole plot and how to story unfolded. I also didn’t like the producer of Dooby Dooby Job because the fact that Pi Uno literally got so injured she only cared about the camera if it was still recording for the viewers and that they broke the rules of no cameras after 9 and filmed them giving the shot to the dog so it can rest. I don’t really recommend this show, but it depends on if you want to watch it.Was this review helpful to you?

How disappointing
Wow this was a disappointment.Out of place music that made me want to turn the sound off.
The fact that we didn't get a proper interaction between the main ship for 5 eps and even then it was meh.
The story as it is and the execution is really lacklustre, I really didn't care about any of the characters and the vibes were flat.
Why is the dog cafe empty of dogs? Where are all the dogs?
The whole translation earpod thing is so lazy and how tf does it work????
I really can't watch any more, I like mew and this korean actor seemed good but the writing and what the story is is not it.

More potential than delivery
I liked the lead when he was in Tharn Type but his role in this story is somewhat dull and charmless. The production values do not match normal expectations for Korean series. I will probably persist to the end but I doubt I will ever rewatch this show. I do not think the Thai/Korean collaborations work very well - Peach in Time was also very disappointing and perhaps the experiments should end.Was this review helpful to you?
SLOW START
ITS A VERY SLOW START I'M ENJOYING IT, MEW'S EXPRESSIONS ARE AMAZING , the actor who is playing mew's dad is looking like my senior(LOL). 4 episodes 16 minutes and less than 1 minute interaction between the lead. The 2nd leads are really interesting as well. I REALLY LIKE ACTOR WHO IS PLAYING THE DOCTOR ROLE.Was this review helpful to you?
I finally got my "Mew" dose!
If you can't stand Mew speaking Thai while the rest speak in Korean, then skip this show now, so you don't end up whining lolI'm solely here for Mew and I don't regret it. I've missed Mew since TharnType and this is the one show I see him again after so long. Boy, I miss that smile, that charming look and all of Mew.
Besides Mew, I do like the other co-star as well, especially JM and the vet (except for the baddies)
It's not the best BL out there but it really isn't that bad, really.
Plus, the title gives it all! You can pretty much know the show is gonna be somewhat shallow, fluffy and lighthearted from the title. So, don't expect more than that and just enjoy the show.
If you're someone who's looking for that perfect show that nails every aspect, then get out of this show. If you just want something nice to watch before sleep to unwind, then you are in for little treat

This deserves more recognition tbh
I loved this, the story, the acting, the OSTs, the visuals, everything about this drama was giving what it should, the story was unique, enjoyable and not boring at all the only flaw in the story is it needs more interaction between the male leads (by interaction I mean kisses, hugs, cuddles, etc,) I felt like we didn’t get enough but it was still cute enough to feel those aspects without seeing them often. (but then again “Love is like a cat” and cats are not very affectionate right?)I would recommend it to anyone, don’t get discouraged from watching this just because of hate comments, reviews or lower ratings, everyone has their own standards and in my opinion this should be at least 7.5/10⭐️overall.

Cute
Confused as to why it wasn't called "Love Is Like A Dog" but it's cute.It started slow although I think the leads had chemistry despite not speaking the same language. I think Mew's acting was pretty decent here. Personally wouldn't watch it again but it was an easy watch and the characters were interesting.

All in all the show lacks some story and the execution wasn't the best but, it most definitely isn't a terrible show. It's cute just needs a lot of work. If you watch it you'll understand what I mean. I would not tell you to not watch it just understand that it may not be all that you wanted.Was this review helpful to you?
Not good
I don’t really mind the idea of having two people from different countries speak two different languages and understand each other, but imo it was really obvious that the actors didn’t really know what was being said and where just going by script. Or at least that’s what it felt like.There was really no chemistry at all between the two leads, to a point where I felt uncomfortable watching.
The plot, well idk. It’s a short series so not much can happen but still it all felt very strange.
Strange to a point that it was almost sort of hilarious. So I guess that’s a redeeming quality. I don’t feel bad about finishing it since it was very short afterall.

What are they doing?
Not going to lie I showed up for Mew and what a $hit show. My only thought is he's hard up for money or acting jobs because no self respecting agent should have allowed this. So Mew's character is the only one who speaks Thai but the rest of them can understand him because of magic ear buds, what!? I spent most the show wondering how they all communicated on set. Like did Mew just know when they stop talking it's my turn. And for f@ck sake what the hell does this have to do with cats!?!? I only have 10 min left but I haven't seen one flipping cat, lots of dogs. I watch this because I needed something to watch during my lunch break and I'm still kind of mad at myself for watching it until the end.Was this review helpful to you?
