Very good BL with lovely main characters
Love everything out of it. The main characters too. ML like Wonyoung is one in a million too. Strong, independent, he just knows when to stop and choose to love himself more (when he thought Taejoon truly hated him). I love that Wonyoung has got a backbone and in no way a weakling. Taejoon too, knows when it's time to admit his fault and apologize to Wonyoung. One of the healthiest relationship I've ever seen in series. The scene where the two of them walk together into the sunset was just... wow ?
Loving that progression from "sajangnim" (사장님) to "hyung" (형) too ? About time they get more comfortable with each other.
Like other, I wish for second season with Hotae-Donghee story too. I just can't move on from them yet. This BL drama would forever hold a very special place in my heart. Kudos to the team, you made it ????? I'll surely rewatch this again when I miss them (already missing them as I write this).

Maybe it will a little spoiler!
Finally I watched this drama after doubting it because I had read the manhwa many times. In terms of story, there are differences, but in general it is still the same good. At the beginning of the story, it was a bit boring, the plot wasn't very thrilling, the couple's chemistry at the beginning of the story was too basic, less expressive in my opinion, and in this drama, I was once again affected by second partner syndrome (it seems like a lot of people are like me hahaha). For those of you who have read the review up to here, don't immediately drop this drama, because the interesting conflict is in the middle to the end. I need to remind you again that the theme of this drama does not have serious conflicts, in fact it tends to be light, like the theme of simple adult romance which is more concerned with comfort and career support. In this drama there are also minimal skinship scenes, even just a brief kiss hahaha. But what is interesting is the experience of love between different ages and also same gender romance, where each couple tries to fight against the past to open their hearts and make peace with the past. Is it worth watching? Yes, especially for beginner viewers of BL dramas, because it is very light without any sexual scenes. Was this review helpful to you?
Better than I expected
I definitely would recommend this to anyone who enjoys BL.The story line is extremely well done and all of the actors did a fantastic job.
While I enjoy some of the school bl's, my taste runs more to the stories that are not school related, this being one of those.
While this show won't make my top five, it will make my top ten. However, the rewatch value might be low as I don't think I will watch this again for a long time.
It's a good show, don't get me wrong, but it's not a heavy drama and I prefer those, although there are not many out there.
My biggest complaint is the "touch your lips" kisses. While the story line and actors are quite good, I just don't get the same feel when a couple is supposed to be in love, but there is only a "comfortable and sentimental" type of feeling from them. Couples falling in love is when passion typically comes into play the most. This show is more like a bromance.
Also, although hurt feelings and tears are good, without a touch of anger in some of the scenes, something is a bit lacking, I think.
The landscape is beautiful, as is the OST, Overall, I think this show does deserve a 9 rating.

Very Wholesome, a Very Enjoyable Watching Experience.
Unintentional Love Story was a very lovely story to watch unfold. The music was otherworldly in how good it was at expressing the emotion of the scenes.
The acting by the leads Cha Seo Won and Gongchan was honestly breath taking. Whether it was new love, heartbreak, betrayal, or just not feeling the vibe they were able to deliver it in a very profound and nuanced way.
The supporting actors of Han Do Woo and Won Tae Min were also entertaining and quirky adding a breath of comedy.
My biggest problem with this drama was it did not give itself an adequate number of episodes to properly pace out its complex narrative. This show would have been far better served as a 12 episode series, allowing for a full rounding off and complete deep dive of all its moving parts.
The lead relationship when depicted as functioning needed more action time before things went south in my opinion.
And the supporting relationship never was given the time to fully come to fruition on screen leaving one to wonder what is going to happen next.
Other than that I would recommend this show to anyone who enjoys a good drama. It has a lot of heavy elements making it less of an easy watch, but nothing that detracts from its enjoyment. Great acting, great emotion, interesting premise, and lovely music.
P.S. Be prepared for a lot of pausing because the close captions move very fast.

Quite lovable, but one support character could have been fleshed out more
I love both the main couple and the side couple in this BL. I wonder, though, if it might be better to make the side couple the main couple instead. The main couple, Tae Joon and Won Young, have a rather solid if predictable story. I think much of the credit goes to the development of Tae Joon's character. I can understand how he has trust issues after being betrayed by his ex-boyfriend, so I can empathize with him when he finds it very difficult to simply forgive and make up with Won Young after he finds out that Won Young has been originally tasked to try to persuade him to come out of hiding and exhibit his works. Won Young is, on the other hand, also in a predicament we can sympathize with--he is suspended from his job through no fault of his own and can be in serious debt (also not really his own fault) if he does not get back his job. (It's unfortunate that the series seems to neglect the serious problems Won Young is facing after the initial exposition. Some timely reminders would perhaps have been good.)
The side couple, Dong Hee and Ho Tae, are quite economically portrayed. There is so much potential for fleshing out Dong Hee's back story. From the start, we are given hints that Dong Hee is in love with Ho Tae, but when the latter (who keeps changing girlfriends) shows an interest in him, he refuses to accept the love. Dong Hee's main explanation is that Ho Tae is the son of his mother's friend, but one wonders why. This is revealed later in the series in a flashback with Dong Hee suffering from abuse from his parents because of his sexuality and Ho Tae's mother being the only one who comforts him. Why Dong Hee does not accept Ho Tae's courtship because of Ho Tae's mother is less clear. Is he afraid that Ho Tae's mother might blame him if she is unable to accept it if her own son is gay--and she is someone he owes something to? Has he internalized homophobia in some way and thinks that Ho Tae and his family will be better of if Ho Tae goes on dating women? In some ways, Dong Hee can make for a more compelling main character than Tae Joon. The abuse he has suffered and the years of quiet one-sided love for Ho Tae make him the most emotionally complex character in the series. If only he were a more fleshed out side character or the main character!

Worth Watching
It is true that the show had many flaws, but I would say it is worth watching. Yes, they had a strong build up for the second couple, but we are left unsatisfied as we are unsure if they end up together. As for the main couple, the kiss scenes were indeed lacking passion. However, since the story builds into this stressful scenario where all the worst things that could happen do, seeing the efforts of Ji Won Young to attempt to save the relationship was very touching. Even though there aren't a lot of romantic scenes, it does make me admire the small things they do for each other, and the hugs that Yoon gives to Ji was the most comforting and warm-hearting scenes that I have seen. Was this review helpful to you?
A slow burn, but worth sticking with!
The start and premise really intrigued me, but it was a very slow story and character development, so I got bored and left after episode 5.In a drought of content I came back, and plowed through another tedious episode, but p 6 really started to burn, and by 8 was sucked in.
The acting is constrained in true KBL style, and the kisses anemic, but KBL purposefully leaves a lot to imagination. So I was able to use mine to fill in the blanks.
The side story is really interesting, and could probably be a BL series on its own, they are so cute!
A nice tense finish ends this series and pits it in the top tier of my KBL

Simple yet heart fluttering series
The series was not rushed, which i loved very much because often we get very short episodes, so they rush the story and it gets confusing sometimes but it was not the case here. Their acting surpassed my expectations. Their chemistry was chemistrying. Every hug and stare felt real. No awkwardness at all. I am okay with the kiss scene because the story was too damn good. I would love to see more of the second couple though. This series will always stay my comfort series and it's hands down one of the best k-bl i watched. Thank you to all the actors. I would love them to work again together ❤❤❤❤❤Was this review helpful to you?
Short And Sweet
There's A Few Concepts I Really Love About This Show. It Wasn't A Typical Kisses Someone Else Show. It Reminds Me Of The Japanese Style Of Cute Boy Love. It's Simply Love Nothing Less Nothing More. It Wasn't Over The Top With Drama. The Couple Is Just A Couple. There Wasn't Alot Of Dark Moments It Was Sugary Sweet. So If Your Looking For Something Light And Cute This Is It. I've Seen A Lot Of Boy Love And Its Always The One's I Don't Expect That End Up Drawing Me In. I Liked It Alot. It Has A Way Of Keeping Your Eyes On The Show. It's Impossible To Stop Once You Start! Was this review helpful to you?
Classic
Cute and romantic series, perhaps a little classic for my tastes. The main couple were adorable and the side couple too but very sidelined. There was a bit too much back and forth at the end which annoyed me a bit and...Not among my favorite Korean bl but still acceptable and enjoyable.

Brotherly kisses and brotherly hugs but a fun heartwarming series to watch
This series really worked well with source material, several scenes from the manhwa were replicated on screen and it was beautiful to see. The actors had great chemistry and played their roles very well. The reason I rated the story a 9 is because they really didn't flesh out the second male leads story and this isn't entirely their fault because the manhwa barely does but I would have loved to see more of them. I'm hoping that we get a season 2 focused on them because their story is equally as interesting.Another thing I didn't like were the kiss/hug scenes between Taejoon and Wonyoung. Fish lips kissing and side of lip kissing genuinely make my blood boil because it is passionless. I'm not saying they should shove each other's tongues down their throats but at least suck on each other's lips a bit, like actually kiss. I get that they were trying to keep it PG 13 since it aired on a network but I really hated it. The hugs too irritated me, Taejoon always hugged Wonyoung like they were brothers and Wonyoung was always stiff during their hugs, that's not how people in love hug each other. The smallest example we see of a lovers' hug is in the last episode when Wonyoung initiates the hug before Taejoon quickly transitions it into a brotherly hug.
Overall the show is interesting and has a great rewatch value. As long as you don't expect hot passionate kisses, you'll love this show!

typical romcom :)
ah, the age old grumpy x sunshine trope! you know em, you love em! this was actually one of my first watches and it also introduced me to now one of my fave kpop groups, namely The KingDom (formerly called KINGDOM) because they wrote one of the songs on the soundtrack (Traffic accident by DANN & MUJIN from TKD).but back to the actual series. this series was a great introduction to BL for me! it's cute and calm but also has it's obvious heart fluttering moments and made me root for the couple. the characters were endearing though a little predictable but then again the whole story setup is quite predictable: the mc meets the male lead and forcefully befriends him and then slowly falls in love whilst also trying to hide his ulterior motives and then comes at the point of where he needs to decide between his original goal or his new love. the story is enjoyable but not enjoyable enough for me to rewatch it if i'm honest because to me the acting, editing and pacing could've been better especially from the main couple. but for a beginning bl actor i think gongchan did pretty good! the second couple, dowoo and won tae min is is what really stole my heart. the tension and the drama between them was much more enjoyable to watch because of the comedy and the history of the characters (but the acting was also better).
the production value was great but i havent seen that many k-bls so i cant really compare. (edit: now i have and it's pretty good still so thats a win)
so would i recommend this series? yes, if you just started watching BLs and want something straight out of a romcom or just want to watch something that's light to digest :)
