Go east!Go for it!!
This is one of the best Chinese dramas of 2024 that I have watched.It is a package of emotions, friendship,love,affection,righteousness,justice,family ties, betrayal,scheming,cunning,cruelty and all the elements of a human life.The drama starts off with a narration by Yuan Mo,the male lead who lives carefree and makes living by giving travel passes to those who wish to stay in Changle city of Yong.He introduces us to Sifang pavilion,which manages many affairs of the country with the help of its East and West courts effortlessly and is headed by Mr.Yu who brings up Yuan Mo
And then Yuan Mo meets the carefree yet domineering and mysterious Ah Shu,Wang Kunwu who is transferred here from military barracks,Yuchi Hua,daughter of Duke Er,who manages Jingzhao prefecture,Ji,Shen,An Xiuyi,Susu,and others.The events that take place in Sifang pavilion and how they affect everyone forms the latter part.
Yuan Mo is witty, humourous,carefree, intelligent,cool and smart.Ah Shu is smart, intelligent,cunning yet learns to be responsible afterwards.
Wang Kunwu is one person who you would always want as your friend.He is responsible,righteous,calm and reliable.Yuchi Hua,though the daughter of Duke Er,has no such airs,is one of the sweetest characters in this series.
Ji and Shen are also funny and good friends.I particularly liked the character of Mr.Yu.He is affectionate,loving, caring,yet stands for justice.
Tan Jianci,Zhou Yiran, Du chun and Adi Kan were perfect in their roles.Their acting was on point.
All the other actors did a fantastic job to bring life their roles and present an entertaining drama.
The costumes,sets, locations, music,pace,plot, screenplay everything are very good.
The thing that I liked the most is that this drama strikes a perfect balance of emotions,both on positive and negative sides.
The friendship between the 4 leads and even the members in the pavilion along with Mr.Yu was awesome.The emotions were perfectly balanced,be it love or friendship or family.
The envoys were also good without any ill intentions and did their best to bring peace.
Prince Duomi,though appeared for a short time,was sweet.
Uncle Kang is a loyal, caring person who did what he could till his last breath.
An Xiuyi and Susu track was also good.
The antagonist,Man In white,is extremely cruel,vicious,cunning and his ruthless.The twists that unfolded in the last episodes were very good.
All the scenes were perfectly linked to each other with only a few boring moments.
Overall I will definitely recommend this drama which is a perfect mix of emotions, politics and suspense.It is a worth watching, nice drama .

Funniest Characters but Kinda Boring Story

What I dont love about this show:
*This story felt like something was missing. Despite the funny characters, the story was sometimes very boring.
*Sometimes, some of the FL's actions felt very thoughtless
Overall: This drama was like a dish without salt. It was good and filling, but something was missing.

Refreshing and interesting drama
At first, i was not sure about this drama from the trailers. I thought it would be heavily comedic but it turned out to be such a gem in 2024, esp because i couldn't find any dramas i really like in 2024.The story is comedy, fresh and interesting with high quality cinematography and good costumes. The casts are all good actors and have chemistry. Nothing cringe here. And Tan jianci was able to develop Yuanmo's character thru out the drama brilliantly. The investigations, friendships and romances are all in balance. I really love it. This is definitely my healing drama of 2024.
I love how they gave enough romances here n there between the cases they had.
The plot is simple and quite predictable but still worked for me.
I found that tan jianci such a rare and versatile actor. Everytime i watched his drama, he always chose different characters and nailed them. In Lost you forever, xiang liu's character is so strong and memorable but you won't see any hints of it in Yuanmo' characters. Make me able to enjoy yuanmo. He did that too as shenyi in under the skin. Such a good actor.
Some people ranted about the FL but that is how her character is in the script and ZhouYiran did good job in potraying her. Tho in some emotional scenes, she didn't nailed it but still okay because tan jianci balanced it with his acting. Ashu is refreshing, unlike some boring FL from other dramas.
I think it is important to watch without any expectation of the characters so we will be able to enjoy it. We can't expect every characters are always the hero or perfect as human being.
I also love the second leads and all the supportings. They seemed like a family and their chemistries was shown in the drama.
Go east is a must see because this drama is brave enough to be different than other dramas.

Light and healing drama
It was funny, light and interesting. Not my usual kind of drama, but i was hooked since episode 1 and couldn't wait for each eps to aired. Even bought the express line.Watching this because of tan jianci after his amazing performance in lost you forever and he did great job too as yuanmo. What a great actor.
But even if i loved an actor, i couldn't watch it if the drama is bad. I am so glad go east is suprisingly exceeded my expectation. The cinematography and the casts are all good. I love wang kunwu too!
This is one of my favorite drama in 2024 because i laughed from eps 1 till the end. Also didn't expected the hot kiss and loving it!

That was dumb
Lost interest after that maid lied, got someone else in trouble, acted remorseful, but didn’t reveal her lie. I know it’s supposed to be a comedy but being a comedy doesn’t mean plot should be dumb and characters lack integrity. We supposed to be ok with what she did? Pfft.Too bad. I really like JCT. That character though killed this drama for me.

Was able to figure out obviously that dude was mad sus
No plot line all it looks like is yuan mo is gonna fall for his maid and his search for his parents death truth............'sigh'pls tell me it gets better ?

Go East Sangat Epic
Aku tidak tau kenapa drama ini mendapatkan nilai kecil padahal menurutku dramanya sangat bagus. Aku mulai tertarik menonton dari episode awal karena banyak kasus-kasus pembunuhan yang harus dipecahkan. Aku menangis dan tertawa saat menonton drama ini. Terlebih Tan Jianci bisa mentransfer perasaannya ke penonton. Aku menangis keras di episode 30, 32 dan 33. Aku akan segera menyelesaikan episodenya. Benar-benar diluar prediksi
Awalnya aku tidak terlalu tertarik menonton Gon East. Karena selain kurangnya promo, sepertinya dramanya biasa-biasa saja. Tapi setelah menonton beberapa episode, aku tertarik mengikuti sampai akhir. Kasus-kasus pembunuhan dan pemberontakan mengingatkanku pada Anime Detective Conan. Yuan Mo dengan keterbatasan (tidak bisa bela diri) tapi memiliki otak cerdas untuk memecahkan masalah. Ada banyak perasaan yang dimainkan dalam drama ini, marah, sedih, kecewa, bahagia, jatuh cinta, terpuruk, semangat hidup, benar-benar sangat komplit. Kita bisa senang melihat bela diri, bisa tertawa melihat kekocakan para pemain, sedih karena kasus-kasus kejamnya, bahagia karena kasih sayang antar pemainnya, jatuh cinta dengan sedikit polesan kisah cintanya. Sampai aku menonton 2 episode terakhir, aku sungguh tidak pernah menyangka siapa penjahat utama bahkan kedudukannya pun tidak pernah terbayangkan. Bagaimana cara orang-orang Gedung Sifang memberantas penjahat, benar-benar sangat seru dan banyak di luar prediksi. Ditambah akting Tan Jianci yang sangat bagus, dia bisa membuatku tertawa dan menangis dalam waktu bersamaan. Overall aku puas dah ingin merewatch lagi.
