Really intriguing

Really intriguing start to the show. Idk the budget for this drama but the CG/special effects are all done tremendously well. The FL is charming even while being unfriendly to others, I think this is in part due to the fact they show she is kind to those close to her like her butler and Madam Ju, showing she is a good person though she comes off prickly and stuck-up to outsiders. There is enough exposition without explaining everything and leaving some mystery for later, and the twist at the end of this first episode was unexpected! SPOILER: I think the twist was done really well because we all expected a deal between the two of them, which brought the viewer's guard down--they think they know what to expect and then are surprised by his powers failing/getting transferred in the end.

8.0/10 - Awesome.

Basically went in blind with this one. All I truly knew was that my beloved Kim Yoo Jung is the lead. I love Kim Yoo Jung so much that I suffered through episodes of Golden Rainbow for. In the past I will follow Kim Yoo Jung. Sadly not all her dramas are for me.

My Demon starts of really great. The introduction of our demon, Jung Koo Won, is super fun. What I didn't expect was that Do Do Hee (Kim Yoo Jung) is basically a corporate demon. So a demon of hell and a demon of earth are soon tossed up against each other. Jung Koo Won has no idea what is happening to him when Do Do Hee mistakes him for her blind date. Let me tell you, it's glorious. Jung Koo Won is actually shaken by her. Do Do Hee is actually made to blush.

So things are off to a great start.

Visually this episode is top notch. The cast so far is pretty amazing and the character introduced so far are fun. The stereotypical Grandma not so much, but all the side characters are awesome. The setup is intriguing. I'm already trying to figure out how this is all gonna work. Clearly a rule has been broken by Jung Koo Won saving Do Do Hee without getting a contract. I'm sure Hell is not pleased.

SPOILER ALERT! [8,5/10]

This is an entertaining first episode but I pretty much knew what's going to happen the moment Dohee and Guwon meet each other for the first time. It's predictable and cliché, but nevertheless, I like it. I enjoyed every scene thoroughly, and I loved the scene at the end. It's so pretty. One of Guwon's subordinate seems to have feelings for him, but she doesn't cling to him, so I guess she respects him and admire him as her master. This is good because I don't want another ML-obsessed female supporting character, they're getting old. There's still a lot to be known about the universe where the story takes place. What I get so far is that God (unspecified) exists in the universe and demons roam the Earth. They may not work for God, but they acknowledge God's existence (Guwon looked scared when Dohee said the Almighty brought her). Demons provide help by providing a contract; wealth in any form in exchange for the human's soul, ten years after the contract is signed. So far, my favourite character is Dohee's adoptive mother. I also like Guwon's character. He's a demon and he's not portrayed in a way that makes him look like an angel. Every character, including the supporting character, has a distinguishable character and personality. I have a feeling this might end with a sad ending where either Guwon or Dohee dies. Or, if it's a happy ending, neither of them will become a demon, and they will live as a mortal for the rest of their life.
