Fun Time Travel Romance
This was a very fun drama! I enjoy time travel romances such as Live Up to Your Name and Mr. Queen, so this was a nice new drama in the same vein. The main couple's relationship development was really well done, moving from initial dislike to eventually being head over heels for each other. The secondary couple was adorable and hilarious as well! I loved Sa Wol's character. I also really liked Tae Min - I appreciated the development of his relationships with his brother and SIL.I also liked how Tae Min's mom wasn't pigeonholed into being a complete villain and was portrayed as a three dimensional, believable character. I'm happy that things worked out for her in the end. I wasn't super happy about what happened to the grandpa since it didn't feel completely believable - it was very makjang imo.
Characters aside, I thought that the past and present life's parallel storylines were quite well done. The reveal that the grandpa was the real villain was decently built up. I also liked seeing the differences between the first and last episodes. The lady with mystical powers was a good plot device to tie things together. Finally, Yeon Woo's arrival to New Joseon was absolutely hilarious and really made the first few episodes for me! Dol Se the vacuum deserves an honorable mention for his sacrifice.
Overall, despite the large amount of chaebol infighting, I thought that this was a fantastic drama. The acting was excellent, the romance was sweet, funny, and believable, and the storyline was fun and exciting. The balance between humor and seriousness was also really well done throughout. 9 stars.

Hang on till the end..
It was a good series.. Completed in just two days..If you are into time travel.. this series is a good one..
Try not to judge who is the villain of the Kang family at first.. wait till at least ep 10 to decide..
It has some clichés and you might feel dropping it during episode 4 or 5 but I suggest you to wait till the end.
It has some twists and turn and the second ml and fl couple will win you heart.
It is cold ml X warm fl
The fl is an embroiderer you will see a lot of them through the series but mostly butterfly.
The last episode will bring some tears but it is a happy ending.
My only complain is about how the fl treated the Joseon Tae Ha. She treated him to coldly. He loved her so much and she knew that he will die soon so she should have showed him some affection

from Rom-Com to Rom-Bomb!
With a strong start, this drama made old tropes fresh and grabbed my attention right away. It was "crack-tastic," catching my attention and hitting all the right notes. The leads were adorable, there was romance, there was humor, there was time travel and suddenly the hour was over. It was a rollicking good time with a nod to Legend of the Blue Sea and a contract marriage to rival none. And the costumes--oh, my!--were gorgeous. However, after the midpoint, episodes started to drag, characters were redundant and the plotline suffered from fatigue and a lack of creativity. This drama simply lost its way leaving a path of plot-holes and unexplained motives. The shards from the plot bombs were scattered about. The only thing that held it together were a few feel-good romantic scenes with the lead couples and the stunning, hanbok-inspired dresses.
There was so much potential with the time-travel aspect. It was fun and believable, then it wasn't. There was a crazy crime plot, complete with gangsters and a chaebol-infested struggle to control the family owned company.
So why did I hang on until the end? The performance of the leads and their romance. Adjust your lens for an uneven watch, interspersed with beautifully done (and redeeming) romantic scenes and some memorable laughs.

I enjoyed it. but had a few questions about the plot.
Overall I really enjoyed this drama.I think Bae In Hyuk was miscast. I like him as an actor but the role needed somebody that was very cold in the beginning, and he doesn't have a commanding presence, he has more golden retriever energy. I still liked watching him, he is adorable and he did a good job with acting.
There were a few things in the plot that confused me:
-I don't really understand the grandfather's full motivation, why he was trying to force his grandson into getting married by pretending that his health was failing, only to have disappeared the original intended bride.
-I think I missed the full explanation of why his mother was in that room and what his grandfather was trying to accomplish.
-They don't go into who the butterfly lady is. unless they did and I missed it, but what was her motivation was for appearing and manipulating things? Was she fate or chaos?
-There were some scenes where it kind of eluded that the present Tae Ha might have had his medication tampered with, or his doctor sabotaging his treatment, but that was never followed up on.
The moon rabbit scene was absolutely one of my favorites, It made me laugh really hard.
I liked that they didn't bog things down too much with her having to learn about the future and how to use things properly. They had to spend a bit of the episodes showing her adjusting, but it didn't get too ridiculous.
And I liked Sa Wol's character, because she was very outspoken and brazen and brought some lightness to the seriousness of the main couple.
It's definitely one that I would recommend to people as an easy to watch rom-com with a little bit of historical drama thrown in.

This drama kicks off with a lot to recommend: the beginning love story is sweet, and our FL Park Yun Woo is endearing and funny as she navigates the modern world. But, trying to fill 12 episodes with this wears thin, and attempts to complicate the plot fall flat. On top of that, having the ML Kang Tae Ha a 30+ yr old man be even more bumbling and inept at romance than the FL from the Joseon era, just becomes frustrating and the chemistry fizzles. The secondary romance is worse: immature and condescending towards working class people.
The only real mystery that kept me watching is why the grandfather figure was so up and down: friendly and supportive one moment, and sinister and murderous the next, but I wasn't so curious to suffer through to the end of this.
One highlight!: Yoo Sun Ho as Kang Tae Min was a delightful surprise. Fun, charismatic, a bad boy with a bit of a conscience. I enjoyed his character a lot.

Not one of Lee Se Young's finest historical dramas.
As usual another common and tropey K-drama love story where FL has only eyes for the ML wrapped up as a historical. The ML BTW is a supposed reincarnation of her past husband, who was turn into a hapless 2nd ML in the end by some tasteless and tacky writer. Can these zero talent and unimaginative writers for once have a decency to not write this tired 2nd ML trope in at least one drama. I only finished about halfway and stopped watching and took a peek at the ending. I don't plan to take this up again. Was this review helpful to you?
Why this drama deserves 10 ratings?
First of all, 2023 was a year of "time-travelling" based dramas. And, to say, almost all the dramas which contained this kind of plot made big. So, "the story of Park's marriage contract" too.If you ask me what I liked the most of this drama, I would say the casts. Yes, the casts were great. Lee Se Young, Bae In Hyuk are such talented actors that they've profoundly proved their roles. Also, I liked the other supporting actor and actresses too. Because of them, I will definitely watch the drama again. And the chemistry between Lee Se Young and Bae In Hyuk was undoubtedly fabulous.
Now to say, about the plot of the drama, I definitely think it was unique than other dramas. Because, the ending scene wasn’t like the other time-travelling dramas. Also, the main and middle plots, climaxes were different from any other dramas too. You might feel a little disappointed at the end though, but that also gives a beautiful massage. Actually, who really understood the plot will be able to catch that. But I won't say anything anymore. Cause otherwise I will be giving the spoiler ? which I don't want to.
And about the musics of this drama, I think they were great and perfectly matched with the drama. They were successful to portray the emotions of the characters and situations.
Of course, this drama is definitely the worth of rewatching. I am planning to rewatch the next month. I am sure, the viewers won't be bored or disappointed. Because this rom-com drama is that much capable of it's worth.
Lastly, I, personally have always liked the historical Korean dramas. And, this drama is truly different than other historical and time-travelling dramas. LSY and BIH did their best and perfect. I liked the casts, plots, comedies. This drama also gives a beautiful massage. As a literature student, I was able to capture the theme and massage. I guess, that is why, I found this drama so mesmerizing.

Why this drama deserves a 10 on 10?
First of all, 2023 was a year of time- travelling dramas. But, historical time-travelling dramas are always on the top. This kind of genre never disappoints us. This drama too, meets with our expectations.Lee Se Young and Bae In Hyuk, both of them are amazing actors. They sucessfully portraited their roles. But I am more amazed by their visuals. They’re such fine looking actors. I was always a fan of Lee Se Young. But I wasn’t sure about Bae In Hyuk's. And he clarified my confusion about him. I was hoping for this drama to be around of 16 episodes. But, no problem. Yet, I was satisfied,
Now, to the next part, that is the plot and story of this drama. The story is a lot different than other kind of time-travelling historical dramas. It is mixed with thriller, supernatural, comedy, melo and romance. Jack of all trades- in a word. Most of the people was hoping more and was not satisfied with the ending. But, I will say that it was a happy ending, those who understood, knows better. I cried at the last episode. I will not spoil anymore. Go and watch the drama, if you're curious.
Music and Ost's were good too. Also, I was massively satisfied about their fashion ramping concept and those dresses. The whole drama gave me a genuine vibe. The supporting actors made the drama more interesting. They acted really well.
I will watch this drama again, for sure. Without any doubt, I am also hoping for season 2. Let' s just hope that the directors will give this drama an another season.
In conclusion, the beautiful and cheerful casts, the fabulous storyline, the Ost's of this drama will not let you to waste your time. So, watch the drama and be happy.
Happy watching.

One of the best dramas of 2023! Watch it, please!
This whole show from top to bottom broke my heart, made me smile and laugh, made me soooooo upset, and made me wish there was 4 more episodes. Lee Se Young and Bae In Hyuk acted their hearts out and had beautiful chemistry, with a natural build up. Even with the parts that move slower and makes you want to pull your hair out because you wish the characters could speak up sooner or make another decision, it is more than worth the watch. You'll find yourself watching episodes just because you don't want it to be over yet. The side characters stories were good as well, I can't forgive some of them but their endings were well deserved and well ended as well. Congrats to them. One of my fav 2023 shows. Was this review helpful to you?
Beautiful… would watch it again
What can I say?It kept me interested, found it beautiful..
From acting, story, drama and ending…
Perfect pace…
ML was perfect combination of hard but adorable.
FL was genuine impressed with modernity and funny, empowered in the right way.
No overreacting things, right amount of intrigue…
Would watch it again , so therefore I am rating it high.

A classic case of a poor ending...
The story starts off strong with an engaging plot that takes place in a modern and historical time line. That charm is quickly lost though as our female lead adapts to the modern environment too quickly and the story rapidly becomes cliche. That being said, the chemistry between the two leads is really strong, they definitely carry the story and make it worth a watch if you like a good love story. I also really like the score for this drama, especially in the last episode! But the last episode is a complete mess plot wise, it makes zero sense and even makes the fl a bit dislikable. It's a shame because this drama had the potential to be really good but falls a bit flat unfortunately. Was this review helpful to you?
Good Enough
Korean Drama '' The Story of Park's Marriage Contract '' is a fantasy, time travel romantic comedy. The drama has a great start, with an interesting female lead who is delightful to watch. It also has a fun story, with enough light and fluffy moments to keep things entertaining. The comedy part was great as well. And even though there were some cheesy moments and overused tropes, they were nicely embedded in the story and they didn't feel too cliche.
The second half of the drama was, on the other hand, rather boring. The ending was well handled, sure, but they added too much unnecessary drama just to keep things emotional. That is why the conclusion was rushed.
The performances, finally, were all enjoyable.
So, overall, seven out of ten.
