Heavy but what Cdrama land has been missing for months!!!!!

Episodes 1-4
It may be early, but if this drama keeps the momentum and quality, we have a cdrama masterpiece on our hands!!!

Acting: The older actors bring it, but it's Zhao Lusi that. She is insane so far that even on Weibo, gossip bloggers are praising her. There is a scene in episode two that made me cry so hard between her and an older actress and I tell you, the performance does not disappoint in what needed to make you feel that early in the show, I promise.

Plot: This starts off darker than what most may be used to. We are thrown into the world of a slave and what that means as a young woman in those times, and they don't shy away from the dangers. The plot promised a unique story that is merely a pipe dream in drama land today and so far it has delivered on that

Characters: Duan Wu is easily a FL that grabs you. She is far from a dumb girl since she is a slave and she is determined and resilient in her thoughts, and actions, and strives to have the freedom she longs for so much. She truly is the heart and soul of this drama and her. She is the type that will buy it all or lose it all if she could taste freedom and if you were how she lived, you would understand.
The ML is a ruthless, morally grey businessman seeking revenge from former enemies. He doesn't fall for our pretty FL at first sight or anything like that. In fact, he helps her only because the second ML wants to help and so he does it as a favour and in the end, it was the 2nd ML that came through. He doesn't give handouts to her either. He has the typical revenge background, but his function in the story is different from modern-day Cdrama ML's
The second ML doesn't seem special the moment you meet him, but he quickly wins you over that you might have 2nd lead syndrome. He is genuinely a kind, unforceful, upright guy who wants to do the right thing and help the FL because it is just his nature to do so. We meet him trying to save the life of someone who did a petty crime. His meeting with the FL is one you would expect from the ML.

Cinematography: Beautiful. The underwater scenes were literally trending and are currently being used as advertisements for TVs, There are just some shots you have to stop to take in.

Directing: There are weird angle shots of the ML's face that stood out, but other than that the directing for big scenes has been great, especially fight scenes with Duan Wu. Because she is not a trained fighter, they get creative with the camera, as she has to get creative to survive.

Soundtrack/OSTs: Beautiful, and they know how to use them in powerful scenes.

Special effects: Not the best, but it's what I expect from Cdramas. The CGI is not offensive to the eye and is actually quite decent!!! The drama also does as much practical which is great to give more realism like the swing underwater.

Overall so far, this is worth it if you can handle heavier stories/themes.

This drama is well worth to watch and also i was waiting for this to be aired from long time..i gotta say about the story of this drama is so well understandable and exciting to wait for the next new episode 😀
Acting: FL acting skills is so on top she deserves to be top one because how she manage herself to deliver this message out by her acting..wow just wow so brilliant acting skills from the Female Lead.

ML and Second Male leads both acting skill is also on top because this character they playing is suitable for both of them,,i can't wait to see more from Male Lead and Second Mlead.

Ost of this drama is so beautiful from opening and finish ...top tier I've seen so far..

I really recommend this drama to all the chinese drama lovers.... watch this cdrama and give it a try to watch..it's well worth your time 😍

Terminato questo lungo viaggio di 40 puntate ...un viaggio intenso che non dimenticherò...la prima ventina di episodi è stata intensa e fantastica ...tutti questi paesaggi incredibili anche se era frutto di intelligenza artificiale è stato meraviglioso!! Il mare...la nave ...il deserto ..tutto stupendo...e che dire questi fantastici attori...zhao lusi pura magia l'ho sempre detto vicino a lei i suoi partner risaltano magnificamente..qui abbiamo avuto una daunwu nata schiava...che ha lottato per la sua libertà e per ciò che amava dall'inizio alla fine ...che ha perso tutto ma che ha avuto la forza di ricreare legami e una famiglia nuova intorno a lei ...fatta non di sangue ma di sincerità e fratellanza ...al suo fianco abbiamo avuto zijing che ci ha fatto sognare.. burbero altezzoso tenebroso .. un vero pirata che ha fatto vibrare il nostro cuore..ma così dolce ...una vendetta che doveva portare a termine per riscattare la sua famiglia ...un percorso doloroso per entrambi, alla fine sono riusciti a ottenere ciò che desideravano ...lo hanno ottenuto veramente? No perché anche se hanno realizzato i loro destini diventando daunwu una donna di successo accettata in un mondo di soli uomini in cui l'emancipazione delle donne e ancora lontana anni luce e zijing riscatta e vendica la sua famiglia, quello di stare insieme e vivere felici e contenti il loro amore non può avverarsi ... l'antidoto per zijing non si trova e il loro saluto è quello più straziante con tutti i loro ricordi che affiorano...bellissima la scena della stella nel cielo che prosegue in un altra direzione .... daunwu così diventa ciò che aveva sempre desiderato una commerciante errante in giro per il mondo con l'ultimo simbolo del suo grande amore ..l'anello di zijing al dito ...e la speranza che nel futuro altre persone che sono nate pietre possano diventare pietre preziose ....

Taaan agridulce

Los dramas melodramaticos con finales tristes son mis favoritos, así que debo de avisar con antelación que esto es bastante parcial y no me arrepiento de manda.

Desde el principio sabía que era una historia de venganza y resentimiento. Algo bastante común en los dramas históricos, pero a pesar de ello, el viaje por los 40 ep. es entrañable y te hace amar a los personajes, no como seres idealizados. Sino como humanos con un pasado muy oscuro y convertidos en adultos con cicatrices.

El romance es bastante secundario y es parte de la trama, pero no es la historia central. Es más bien la historia de Yan ZiJing reivindicando la reputación de su familia y Duan Wu, saliendo adelante como comerciante. En algún momento se cruzan sus caminos, pero eso no es lo que te quiere contar la historia. Una vez que entiendes eso, el camino es doloroso, melancólico pero también dulce y con una sensación de justicia.

Honestamente me molestan mucho las historias donde el ML se pelea con la FL por no querer arreglar un mal entendido que se pudo haber solucionar hablando desde el principio, por eso le doy 9.0 en historia. Toda esa enemistad entre Yan ZiJing y Duan Wu fue bastante tediosa. Pero por lo demás, me encantó. Sobretodo por que los personajes no son seres divinos que ganan todo el tiempo gracias a sus incontables supociones qué por alguna razón siempre son acertadas(?. Cuando los protagonistas ganan todo el tiempo (como en The double), se pierde el sabor del misterio y el realismo de las historias. Por muy calculado que lo tengas todo, el factor humano prevalecera, así que es refrescante ver a protagonistas adaptarse a la derrota y reorganizar un plan desde los escombros. Muchas gracias por eso.

Liu yuning ha mejorado muchísimo su actuación, pero debo reconocer que aún le queda cierto camino para terminar de perfeccionar sus habilidades, sin embargo, se que con el tiempo mejorará todos esos ajustes y entregará trabajos más limpios. A pesar de ello, Yan ZiJing en efecto es un papel destinado a LYN, el rey de los antiheroes, no puedo ver a ningún actor interpretando a este joyero qué se sacrifico así mismo por su amor, su familia y un comercio más justo.

Así mismo Zhao Lusi, aunque no me gusta mucho su actuación, creo que lo hizo muy bien, podía retratar con bastante habilidad a una mujer fuerte surgida de la necesidad de supervivencia pero con unos valores inquebrantables.

Creo que The Story of pearl girl serán uno de esos CDramas que jamás podrá ser totalmente valorado debido a las condiciones en las que se emitió y por los supersticiones en el cast. Asi que si llegaste al final de esta aburrida reseña te pido que por favor no te dejes influenciar por eso. Es una historia que vale totalmente la pena y que no se pueden perder.
