bad choices
So, my problem with this drama besides the acting that sadly it wasn't good, was the even with this the drama would be better if the director made better use of the supporting actors stories. if think that them would be more fun to watch! but I love the drama, I just think that could be better!!! I like this actor, but in this drama that are moments that I think that him acting so bad. and if you be critical was so crazy seen that everyone was almost good, her father in the ending was forgiven, I would like to see what happen with her sister. Was this review helpful to you?

Too Much One sided Drama
2nd wife's son and a daughter of wedlock perfect couplewhy this OLD granny is so one sided with younger son
why whole world is so easy for this couple
i mean this drama places problems for couple and resolve it even before problem is explored
SHORT 12 EP REVENGE DRAMA IN WHICH ONE SIDE IS PURE EVIL AND ONE SIDE IS SAINTS
THIS BROTHERS ARE FIGHTING BECAUSE OF THAT OLD GRANNY BEING TOO MUCH
I GET IT WHAT THEY DID TO OUR FL WAS so wrong, but the main culprit of that her ex bf, she has no revenge for him
but because that idiot liked her younger sister she took revenge of younger sister not the man
it is called selective revenge
bad people suffer ? i mean half of bad people are still with her including her father grandfather and ML
ML took advantage of mentally abusing woman and force himself on to her and made her pregnant
FL only took her revenge on his stepmother Why because she is stepmother and stepmother should be bad person, even if she hasn't done anything she was already a bad person. Drama Logic
and her sister who i don't think did anything that was so bad against her anyways, it wasn't sisters fault that FLs boyfriend liked her ? she took revenge on her sister for being liked by a coward man ?
the Main culprit of everything was just forgotten ? SML was reason of everything but she don't want to take revenge on him because director told her not to..
her jerk father is forgiven because he provided semen for her birth.......
grandfather is forgiven because he isn't worth taking revenge on.....
i don't think FL improved her situation at all, from one abuser to another(ML) it just a transfer of slave in which slave think she WIN
its hard to link to this main leads because the are having everything too easy in there story
struggle is what makes viewers connect to characters
i started this show just to watch Sung Hoon playing male lead here but his acting is so flat much lower then what he showed in five enough and Woori

Might include spoiler
I really love the chemistry between FL and ML, it's so overwhelming. Sitting beside each other and just talking casually is already thrilling what more when they are looking at each other eyes.In the beginning, I feel devastated how everyone around her is acting normally behind their devil intention towards her, her so called husband, the acting supportive sister (during the preparation of her wedding), and that ever evil adopted mother. On the other hand, she shows nothing but pure kindness and warm smile to everyone. But, after that "time travel" and her revenge started, just wow, the warm kind hearted woman turned into someone that you're probably regret once you messed up with. And she found a right and perfect knight who will stay at her side and will protect her at all cost.
I just loving this revenge drama more and more ? Kudos to all cast!

I'm posting this comment for some friends from BOD.
NOTE: this review was used as a thread while watching the drama with friends. So, you can get our live reactions to the drama in the comments zone.Production: cheap. The direction looks between weekly and daily drama. Which is nothing to be ashamed of, as the visual quality of these dramas has definitely improved in recent years. I just assume that the budget is limited. As for the actors, I dont see them often, and some of them are more regular of the sitcom/makjang with 50+ episodes. A few familiar faces and names used to support roles. Especially Jin Ji Hee (from Penthouse). Anyway, there are still good actors.
Episode 1.
First ~20 minutes. Disparate. Avalanche of scenes and characters, difficult to link. Lines of exposition under your nose and worst: people talking about other people you've never seen, and about situations that still don't mean anything. Impossible to memorize or concentrate.
And to nail this in a coffin: no catchy or dramatic scene; apart from the gallery director's shout-out to her assistant Madame Oh and Yu Ra looking at Se Hyeok cam. I had the impression that I hadn't watched anything, that my mind was elsewhere, and that it was so painful that I didn't feel like watching again to take down the information I could only miss.
An incomprehensible misstep coming from the writer of "Feel Good to die", whose exposition was good, and the first scene excellent. By the way, I rec this drama in the comedy-fantasy genre (no romance).
However, things quickly work out like a miracle. The writer insists on repeating names and links. Normally this would be cumbersome and annoying, but here I really needed it. Good scenes appear: people looking at the heroine's painting, their acerbic comments, then the meeting between FL and ML.
It's done, the drama is on track, and the rest of the episode gets better and better. Auction scene, accident, hospital. Funny wink with the big white truck. Like to say the drama will subvert or parody makjang tropes.
Episode 2.
The heroine's change of attitude is not credible. She changes completely.
But hey... I'm not picky, I'll accept that and see what happens.
The rest is a straightforward story, obstacle after obstacle. All focused on the main character. So, of course, it works very well. Everything is crystal-clear, and there's no difficulty in situating the characters as there was at the beginning. The pace is fast, and scenes enough dramatics. It's OK!!
A few clichés with the ML, but again, it all works. It seems naive, but even the romantic scenes are good. It's ultra-easy to watch and understand. No mining, even the flashbacks are laid out naturally. I hardly see any hidden tricks. It's classic, popular storytelling with the aim of giving pleasure to the audience. If you like the drama, thank the screenwriter first!
Episode 3+.
The drama is fun to watch. It focus on the main story without loosing time on side-plots, what I like a lot.
It's 12 episodes but 1h15 each. What is a 15h drama, close to the regular x16 one hours ones.
The attitude of the FL becomes more credible, as she's struggling more with her old-self.
Even with low budget, the director can sometimes paint beautiful scenes and aesthetic:
For example the scene in the night bar with very vivid colors, magic lights, reflection in mirror, blurry effects.
It's not a drama we can take too seriously (and I guess it's not the intention of the writer).
But I find myself involved regularly when it's enough dramatic. A bit like in The Penthouse.

This is a bonafide discovery
I am watching Perfect Marriage Revenge real-time.Perfect Marriage Revenge is a drama which is really outside of my comfort zone, but I thought that I would give it a try to expand my horizons. The actors are not my usual circle of friends either. However, the opulent life style and the Blue Plate fashions on display alone seemed worth the price of the time commitment. The drama is about marriage and revenge (go figure) and being clueless in Korea. Also, it is about marriage musical chairs. Nonetheless, I did find this drama enticing on a gossip worthy level. However, just when you think you have this drama all figured out, Perfect Marriage Revenge dramatically jumps into hyperspace. The drama becomes a whole other animal. It is very sexy (in a PG13 sort of way) and complicated, with a drama twist.
Don’t forget to take time to explore the fashions on display. The reason for revenge, however, will floor you. Based on a web drama, Perfect Marriage Revenge is a Romance Marriage Drama. Personally, I would call this a melodrama. While Perfect Marriage Revenge may not win awards for writing, it may win for inventiveness and acting. Right now, there is lots of Head Talk (Talking to yourself about the drama) with this one. You betcha.
Cast
Jung Yoo-Min (Celebrity)
The actors in the posse are tall.
Sun Hoon (My Secret Romance) 6’1”
Oh Seung-yoon (Blind) started as a child actor. 6’1”

The MC is not harsh enough.
It's actually a good series, and it has some good start. But if you have been reading Cnovels or revenge novels, you can easily differentiate the MC from those similar characters. I have to emphasize on this part as this was indeed a revenge series. For one, she's not harsh enough. I've seen revenging female protagonist before and they can be really badass, but the MC was just around or below the average. The first revenge she did was the only time I felt satisfied with. The next ones are too amateur. I get that she has to transition to her villain era and I liked that there's a character growth for a change, as most if not all of those revenge stories and movies I've seen has already a determined and badass character change at the start. But it's been 8 episodes already and she was still somewhat affected by changes, she's easily troubled, she can sometimes be smiling evilly to her enemies but she can also be seen cowering and wearing her troubled emotions on her sleeves. Her emotions can be affected with petty throws from her enemy. Again, there's nothing wrong about that as that was her character, but I was expecting an unaffecting, equally and more harsh, vicious, scheming and tough protagonist.
Her revenge left me unsatisfied. She's the good girl revenger. When trouble comes I instead worry for her if she can fix it. She's not the typical character that you can rely on that no matter what the enemies throw, she'll just smile evilly and even throw a bigger boulder to her enemies. She really needs to learn from those existing similar characters.
I also don't get the necessity of the marriage. I like it more if she focuses more on her revenge while doing it alone. I like it if they're independent enough not to rely on a man for her revenge.
Anyway, it's actually a good one and was worth watching. Despite all my misgivings from it, I still enjoy and will continue watching it. I just have to voiced out these things. Though the revenge part was prolonged and hashed out, most people might enjoy this.

A heroine of all betrayed wives!!
OMG, you have to watch this drama! I think i found a really good writer who is finally have an ability to lift women's power up.and I think i found my ideal betrayed wife
heroine who will not put up anymore all the BS that people around her threw at her underestimating her, thinking she's fool, naive and stupid.
When you watch the first 60 minutes of the first episode of the drama ( 1 hr. 10 min per episode), it's probably hard to watched because all you see within that time frame is the character of the female lead's naivety, pathetic and it angers you to watch the people around her treating her like some kind of fool. My only comfort within that time frame is the very promising interaction of my guy Sung Hoon and our FL Jung Yoo Min.
But anyways please, dont give up! Bcoz towards the end of the first episode is the beginning of FL's transformation from being weak and naive to a badass one. The character development of the fl , happened right away in ep 1. And if you like the ending of ep 1 , you will be happy more??❤️ in ep 2. Also , Our male lead Sung Hoon ❤️really surpassed my expectation in this drama . Both ML and FL have a very good chemistry?!
What I liked in this cheating/ revenge drama
Is that unlike other betrayed wife drama , it will take many more episodes first before the wife's character action of revenge will be executed and no romance , sorry but if i watch a drama like this , i always prefer to have a romance and not just revenge, ill get bored but that just me. Also , you will not be disappointed of our main leads on- screen time, they have fairly descent time appearance on screen Ep 2 is the best example. Kudos to the writer!!
I cannot wait for the next episode, mainly i will be looking forward for FL and ML 's contract marriage and the process of their love blossoming while living together.
I will be looking forward FL's revenge to her family, the scumbag husband, the witch step sister and also it will be interesting how tge FL navigate to deal with ML's family( ML's mom seems like tge main hard core to deal with). But from what i saw ML's character, he seems like in love with her already and will be backing her up 100% specially now that he found out what FL been through
From her family.

A Revenge Saga With Fantasy Element
Adapted from the webtoon “The Essence of a Perfect Marriage” (완벽한 결혼의 정석) written by Young (영) and Lee Beom Bae (이범배), MBN’s latest makjang on the block is a revenge saga with a fantasy twist. Starring Sung Hoon and Jung Yoo Min in the lead roles alongside an ensemble casting that includes Jin Ji Hee, Kang Shin Hyo, Oh Seung Yun; the show uses the time-tested formula of “Contractual Marriage”. We have a conniving family scheming and plotting against their adopted daughter, a high-handed chaebol heir looking for an escape route from the arranged marriage scenario and a brother-in-law vying for his sister-in-law’s affections; seems like a perfect recipe for disaster, right? What makes this show exciting and spicy is obviously the revenge element; the natural chemistry between Sung Hoon & Jung Yoo Min is so flawless, you can’t help but root for them. Let’s talk about the first two episodes, so you can decide if you want to watch it!Read the complete article here-

Perfectly Sweet Revenge
Thoroughly enjoyable series. Maybe found one episode that was a bit weak but otherwise, it's a really fun ride. Didn't expect much when I started but I'm glad I picked it up!The FL is an exceptionally talented artist who was adopted into her family and always felt like an outcast. One day after being betrayed by her step-mother, she ends up in an accident, passing away and waking up 1 year in the past. She becomes determined to rewrite her mistakes and get revenge starting with cancelling her wedding. The background set in the first episode felt a bit tedious but has relevant information that the FL later uses to exact her revenge.
The ML is a welcome green flag and made the perfect partner in crime throughout the series.
All the actors did a great job, especially the negative characters that brought the necessary spice to the show.
The ending was so perfect. Almost like a fairytale. And yet I didn't see it coming. I loved the plot twists the show introduced and the theme song is catchy as heck!
Definitely recommend watching this series!

vengo a quejarme.

I want to recommend this to literally everyone.
I got into K-dramas recently, just in the last year or two, and every time I watch one there is always that drama that plays within the drama (a la Business Proposal) that makes fun of dramas like this. All the tropes are there, but the way they magnificently lean into some and break others is masterful. This is definitely a typically structured melodrama, but the earnestness in which it was created shines through, making this one of my all time favorites. As for rewatch value, I started this drama as 10 episodes had dropped, and in anticipation of the last two, watched and rewatched this for a week.
Cons:
1 - In my opinion, the costuming/fashion choices do not lend to this drama. I don't know whether they had to make this on a budget, or they didn't have many sponsors, but it doesn't strike me as elegant styling. Perhaps there was a reasoning for it, but I found the ML suits to be Ill-fitting or not made from the best materials, they did nothing for his figure. I compare it to Park Yeon-jin's outfits in The Glory. When you look up most dramas, there are blog dedicated to their styling, there isn't much for this drama.
2 - It can sometimes be just a tad cringey. Specially the male lead. But I forgive it, because I find him also to be terribly endearing throughout the drama.
Pros:
1 - Pacing - Because it's only 12 episodes, this flies past. And unlike other dramas, the obstacles shift throughout episodes. There is no handwringing about the same things throughout the story. I really enjoyed that.
2 - Chemistry - the two main leads do an amazing job of carrying the entire show, especially the female lead. She is so outstanding in her performance. She is sincere and funny. Her range is incredible. And the male lead doesn't AT ALL try to skate by on his looks. He doesn't mind looking foolish at times, using his whole face to act (I love Lee Soo Hyuk, and maybe the directors force him to do so, but he always just has a "model face" on.)
3 - Supporting characters - I love almost all of them (except for her father but I shan't spoil it) they were brilliant and almost everyone got their just desserts.
4 - Trope breaking
Damsel in distress - this is my favorite broken trope. She is in distress in the first episode (which is most people's least favorite) but that last act shows her thorough shift. She carries herself so well throughout the rest of drama and it is around her that people gravitate. She is the general and conductor for the revenge, and knows what is happening most of the time.
Amnesia - Not in the "oh I lost my memory" but in the "you've shown me a million times who you are, but I'll conveniently forget every time you give me new information." There is NONE of this. The two leads make the decision early on to completely trust each other. And they absolutely do. It's delicious and SO satisfying to watch as they deftly handle everyone that tries to manipulate them
Terrible in-laws - this is another great broken trope, and the sister-in-law especially (especially in contrast to the ex-SIL). (Just as an aside, her face during the scene at the department store gave me major j-hope vibes, and she was my favorite from then on)
5 - Proper ending - This one is my absolute favorite in terms of endings. It is so simple and perfectly packaged Probably because the story is rather straight-forward but when things get complicated in fantasy-style drams (like The King Eternal Monarch) or difficult relationships (like CLOY), the writers feel their endings cannot be simple. I don't think those two have happy endings at all, they are so depressing to me, but this one was perfect.
I hope everyone watches this drama giving it a bit of grace because clearly they weren't expecting it to do well, but this a sneaky good drama and I wish they had more of a budget to play with. But perhaps we wouldn't have gotten my favorite new actress as a leading lady out of it!
