The dynamics of the main couple in both shows reminded me of the other: famous guy with a cold exterior who actually really likes the FL the whole time but struggles to express it properly at first. Both dramas also deal with the world of idols/celebrities & the challenges it brings.

Both are pretty different dramas in terms of plot and tone, but if you like the trope of the ML appearing quite cold/indifferent towards the FL at first but inwardly liking her the entire time & struggling to show those emotions over time, you will like either drama.

It's so similar how the two dramas show the real life of idols, the hard times they get through and how they have to be careful about everything they do to not be hated

Both shows are idol dramas and the main leads are played by real idols (Lee Junyoung from U-KISS/UNB and Chae Hyungwon from Monsta X).

The vibe of the story is similar. They all work in the entertainment industry, the ML is more popular and cold and the FL is klutzy and thinks she's inferior

if you want to know about the real darkness of the idol industry watch miss back. both talk about the struggles of idols and the controlling money driven world of idols

Although 'Snowdrop' and 'Imitation' are very different in terms of genres, I would still like to recommend 'Snowdrop'. 'Snowdrop' has an idol actor named Kim Jisoo who will be acting for the first time in a lead role. Just like Jisoo, idol actor Jeong Yunho will also be acting for the first time in a lead role.

As one of the nation’s most beloved stars, Gong Tae Sung is used to living his life in the spotlight. With the eyes of the world constantly on him, Tae Sung does his best to keep a smile on his face and his temper in check. Seen by the people as a kind and polite young man, the only people who don’t buy into his whole good guy persona are those working for his management company.

As the head of that company’s PR team, Oh Han Byeol knows exactly what Tae Sung is really like. Well aware of his strong desire to win and his hot temper, Han Byeol has had to employ her excellent speech and crisis management skills on a number of occasions, in order to keep Tae Sung’s reputation as spotless as it seems. Constantly bickering, there isn’t anyone in the world better suited to the role of natural enemies than Han Byeol and Tae Sung.

Forever at odds with each other, Tae Sung and Han Byeol seem destined to hate each other forever. But could the time they’re forced to spend together change those feelings or will their mutual loathing last for all eternity?

no angry mom pretending to be a teen in Imitation, but both start the same way and their tragedy might be similar

Both dramas include the hash and the sweet of the life of idol trainees and the chemistry between the group members. Debut contains an extra element of fantasy but in the core it's an idol drama.
