The ratings are so low for no reason. My only assumption is other fandoms are just that petty and hate seeing other groups/idols succeed.The show is actually really great! I highly recommend so don't let the poor ratings fool you!

This drama is an eye opener to the kpop world
Damn!!!!! The story line is great and i must admit that every cast fits their character too. Oh, KQ debut too ?. Watching this drama, i saw the struggle of these idols. It aint easy to debut at all.The ost, i won't lie, i'm not into it yet but i think its because this is just the first episode.
I never expected it to be this good, but it was awesome. I thought the actors wont be so natural since a lot of them made their acting debut with this drama, but i was shocked at how natural they all are.
This is a must watch for every kpop stan out there. Also for non kpop stan. I love this episode so much. They surprised me a lot.

Great first episode!
I think it was such a great start! I haven't read the webtoon but the first ep made me look forward to the rest of the drama. It makes me want to watch the next episode already. It's also a plus that so far, I've been loving the song releases! I love the little details that helps with the plot, especially the "burner" phones that hint at the relationship between Eumji and Annie. It's an eye opener for sure, showing that the industry isn't just glitz and glamour. Looking forward to how the drama will continue and how the plot will go!Was this review helpful to you?
Realistic idol life, humanistic side.
This drama for a KBS is pretty dark, don't let the idol cast or story fool you. It has subject matter that goes beyond the stage, and pictures. It has a real humanistic approach which is a great comparison for idol from training to veteran. These can be easily comparison to personal growth, resilience and and achievement to personal potential.This is really fast paced story telling, honestly didn't even feel like an hour passed. The story is well written, I am not familiar with the original webtoon, but this alone is compelling on its own. That alone without any previous knowledge of the series looking forward towards the rest. I am also impressed in the hybrid of the connection of this series from drama and real life social media. I personally am excited to have that real life interaction outside the drama.

A deep insight into the K-pop scene
i love this sm! i want the next episode already lol. I was a bit iffy with this drama before the release as i watched some idol dramas previously and they were bad but this one is actually so good. I originally started watching to support the ateez members but boy im so immersed into the story, the plot is rlly interesting and engaging.There is in depth insights into the ugly behind the scenes of K-pop which is not all rainbows and sunshine, it's very much business and competitive. As kpop fans we forget how bad it is and how poorly our idols are being treated so it does make us more aware.
Im really impressed with the acting too! def recommend this drama

IMITATION was so gooood!!!
I really loved the first episode and I thought that Yunho was so great! Jongho's acting was immaculate! I cannot wait for further episodes! Truly 10 out of 10. I have been so excited. I just hope that Maha ends up with Yujin or else im going to throw myslef out a window! Hahahaha jkjkjk If you havnt started watching Imitation yet, I recommend it highly. It has encouraged me to learn Korean because not all of it has subtitles (Im hoping thats a hard YET) BUT you should watch it nevertheless. Yunho in this omggggggggggggggggggggggggggg (lol im just trying to write enough characters for "them" to let me post my review) Congratulations to Yunho, Jongho, San, and Seonghwa! Even though San's part was small, his acting was actually pretty good, Im impressed! So great, so great. Im sure that it is going to get better and better with time.Was this review helpful to you?
I wanna add that I like how this webtoon/show portrays idol life bc some of stuff most likely happens. As the drama goes on, more will be revealed so I really want to see how they show these issues.

Only 2 eps r released till now..... i wasn't really expecting much,, but when i watched the eps its actually better than expected.... uhmm... or u can say I ACTUALLY ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH❤HEHE,,... The female lead character, maha is CUTE, (good luck to teaparty!! i'm rooting for u girls!!!)& 2nd male lead, YUJIN looks CUTEST in hoodies!!!??? (don't hurt my baby pls??)
it also shows how entertainment industry works(which is INTERESTING)
(?spoiler alert?// why that trainee jumped off the bridge.... Where did eunjo disappeared??.. hm.. lots of questions...)
the story is slightly different from the original webtoon (for which i'm very much thankful i like the drama story better) So far, ITS GOOD,, i looking forward to next eps!!!?

Best teen drama ive watched and its only ep 1??!!
I have been a Korean drama fan since 2010 and I have watched almost all teen k dramas and this has been so impactful to me. Most Korean drama fans would also know how hard it is to survive in the kpop industry. Even BTS struggled before they gained fame and this drama and webtoon highlighted those parts really well with a sense of humor and touch of romance.I enjoyed the first ep so much I have already watched it 5 times. I'm waiting for the next ep as well as more performances on youtube !!

Reality of the music and k-pop industry is shown well in this drama
I hope all KPOP fans watch this drama to know how much their favs have struggled and the things they had to go through before debuting. I love that they followed the webtoon too!I enjoyed Tea Party's Show Me and SHAX's MALO as well! They were really well-produced ~! I can't wait for Sparkling and LaLima's release, I know they are going to be lit just by listening to their previews. I hope this drama received more love as its showing us the reality which many of us are not aware of. I also felt that how MAHA is portrayed here is exactly the same as the character in the webtoon. I enjoyed her scenes with Yujin, it was heartbreaking to know that they won't end up together, He really acted well and I hope to see him in more dramas in the future. Another person who caught my eyes was Hyuk, the maknae of SHAX. His red hair and cute personality was really adorable to watch (I rewatched those parts many times)
All in all, it was a great start to the drama!!

I watched chapter one together with my sister and now we can't wait for the next one,You can see how hard they worked, and how much the idols and actors prepared.
