This series is a Thai adaptation of the manga Kieta Hatsukoi by Wataru Hinekure.
Honestly, I don't really understand the culture in Thailand, and sometimes it's hard to catch the jokes implied in this Series. Some of the plots are different from the manga, but that's okay because this series is an adaptation. What I don't like is the scripting and the scenario that is lacking to be made into a series. In terms of the cast, I really like the acting of the main characters. They are all talented actors. They are able to lift this series that is lacking in terms of production to trending in every episode.
If you are looking for a funny show without having to think too much. Watch this series immediately!

Good as a standalone.
Overall, this was a very cute series. This part is about the series as a standalone without any comparison to the Japanese adaptation of the manga. This was a very enjoyable series and had a good script. However, the execution was not always the greatest at times. For the positive aspects, the cast was great and did an incredible job with their characters. It also had a great sound track. As for the negative, the pacing was a little rocky at times. There were many episodes that were spot on and then others that dragged on. The main problem for me was the overuse of sound effects. I’ve become use to sound effects in Thai series and even appreciate it when done strategically for a purpose. Unfortunately, this series overused it to the point that it really became annoying.
This part is comparing the Japanese adaptation. Again, I know this is not a remake but I would be lying if I didn’t compare both. Just like Cherry Magic, I like that this was not a carbon copy of the Japanese version of the manga. I thought the changes they made were great and help the story/character progression. I also like how they went further into the relationship development with both couples. The ending was perfect and helped bring everything to a full circle. Although I did enjoy this series, it was somehow missing the same whimsy that the Japanese version had. Again, I think it was the overuse of sound effects that caused this. I also think 12 episodes was too much. This easily could have been done with 10 episodes.
Random Note:
Sin’s café is the same café location used in the series “Why R U”.

Thai remakes have been so good lately!
If you liked the premise of Kieta Hatsukoi, the Thai adaptation mostly follows the same narrative structure as well. So, what was different from the Japanese version and did it work?Atom is an awkward high schooler who wears his heart on his sleeve, but he doesn’t come off as cringey or overly childish. His behaviour was also less exaggerated compared to the Japanese version, which I preferred (because the Japanese version is a little over the top for my liking).
NOBODY are better suited for the Thai remake than Gemini and Fourth. Fourth’s ditziness translates well into the role of Atom. And Kongthap’s cool demeanour and steadiness is also similar to his performance as Tinn in My School President.
I’m glad that the Thai remake also took the chance to spotlight how difficult it is for teenagers (or anyone really) to come out to their family. This is something usually not explored in Japanese BLs, especially since a big appeal of Japanese BLs is the utopian bubble that its characters live in.
Fourth and Gemini have so much potential given that they’re still so young. My wish is that they will get an opportunity to try something different with more mature roles and complex characters.

CAN'T ERASE THIS LOVE!!
My Love Mix-up, originally coming from a manga series written by Wataru Hinekure and illustrated by Aruko, which depicts the love story between two boys who seem to of had a mistake of who likes who.If you haven't read the manga or seen the Japanese adaptation, then you may have went into this blind. I didn't. Probably about a week before this began to air I finally decided to watch the Japanese version, which no doubt, I will never regret because it was just such a sweet and genuine love story. That being said I knew the overall premise of the story, but that didn't stop me from wanting to watch this. I haven't read the Manga, so I'm not too sure about how it fully goes, but in my opinion, this showed a pretty decent adaptation.
This story depicts when a boy accidentally makes a different boy think that he likes him.
Atom borrows an eraser from a girl named Mudmee, the girl he likes, to his surprise he sees the name Kongthap written on it. The saying that goes around is that if you write your crush's name on an eraser, if you use it enough, you might be lucky enough for that special someone to like you back! Atoms heart is crushed, but he's determined to help her! Things go south when Kongthap sees this eraser and mistakes it for his, leading to his thought that Atom liked him. Kongthap had never had a crush nor been with someone before, therefore, he takes Atoms feelings into consideration because he doesn't know it's not his. What will Atom do when he begins to like his crushes crush? Or is it even Mudmees crush?
I have seen positive ratings about the Japanese version, and I can agree on it. Watching this made me feel.. happy? I guess you can say that. It's just like a cutesy High School relationship. It didn't really make me feel embarrassed, besides that one Mudmee scene.. But this is just a bittersweet romance that I would recommend to those that don't want anything too.. Hardcore?
The acting was great, the story has always been great, and it's just amazing overall. Some may say that this is two childish or just doesn't fit Fourth and Gem, but I honestly disagree. Most people know them from My School President, it wasn't the same as MSP, but was surely sweet just like it.
HONORABLE MENTION...
Chokun (Half) and Pahn (Mudmee)????? I LOVE YOU!! They were so cute together and I really want to see them together again! Chokun is so cute and silly and so is Pahn!! Hope to see them more!!
As I finish my review, over the course of these 12 weeks, I have written down every quote, and I'm going to pick one to five a little deeper into. (I'll put the quotes in the comments.)
From episode 8,the quote:
"For certain things, the question is not when, but why."
All the quotes in this series have spoke to me, but this one.. I don't know what it is about it, I just feel like it wraps all of the quotes into one. The quote itself is saying that the reason and why you want to get through it is the most important thing, whether it comes to challenges, love, or just anything in general. It suggests that understanding the reason behind them is more important than knowing the timing that it should happen. It's like it comes naturally and you'll know for yourself when it's the right time. As we know, this series is about high school romance, therefore this quote, when it comes to love, is meaning the love is more important than when it happens. It could be a time where you're the happiest in life, or it could be a time when you're the lowest in life, but that isn't important, it's the way it comes into your life and brings you that feeling in your heart. It shifts the focus to the deeper emotions and connections that make the love meaningful.
Thank you My Love Mix-Up, and thank you to the cast, for making these past 12 Fridays meaningful to me.

My sons never disappoint me
I liked the japanese original, but I was so damn happy to hear Gemini and Fourth would be doing the Thai version. I just love Thailand so much dude.First, they removed all the homophobia from the original and I loved that!!!!! I'm so tired of homophobia being a plot - everytime - to make the story go wrong, it's 2024 I want these cute gays being cute and having problems without having to be victims of hate, duhh.
Kieta Hatsukoi was good and innocent, I think that's why they chose GeminiFourth for the roles because they were always great at being teenage shy lovers, and they proved that you can have that and also have lil kisses.
I wasn't such a fan of the straight couple in Kieta Hatsukoi, the boy was very annoying and didn't seem to be a nice guy either. Half, on the other hand, was perfect. A saint, even. It was very funny how two chill guys like him and Kongthap were able to easily deal with such melodramatic and paranoid teens like Mudmee and Atom.
I don't think I have to go into detail about the main casts' acting, Fourth and Gemini always bring everything they have to the scene and make it really emotional because they act and match so well.
I really like everything and I even loved the straight couple 'cause they were really cute, attractive and had great chemistry. I hope to see Pahn and Chokun again soon (not necessarily together), especially Pahn (I fell in love with her).

I Detest GMMTV'S attempts at adaptations
I love Gemini and FOURTH which is why I have to drop this at episode 1 or I will begin to dislike them. It's not their fault but in my opinion GMMTV has dropped the ball in one way or another in every adaptation I've seen including FIND YOURSELF, F4: THAILAND, CHERRY MAGIC, OSSAN'S LOVE (which hasn't premiered yet but...) right now Im giving another adaptation from GMMTV in A LOVE SO BEAUTIFUL (I adored both Chinese and Korean versions) yet so far the Thai version is set on suck. Dew and Neo are 2 of my favorites but not even their charm and acting can save a GMMTV ADAPTATION.Back to My Love Mix Up. Why Japan keeps allowing a place like GMMTV butcher their source material I will never know (I know it's the money)
Fourth is adorable and a good actor but I watched episode 1 and his Atom (Aoki) fell flat for me. And I can't say I blame him because the director should make sure he excels at this role. It's just not there. As for Gemini I was a little more impressed with his Kongthap (Ida) but not by much. Gemini and Fourth have a lot of chemistry but Fourth seems to be trying to hard to pull this off and as such for me their chemistry is lacking here.
I will admittedly say I did not have the privilege of reading the manga so I'm not sure if this Thai Adaptation is closer to the manga then Kieta Hatsukoi. There Aoki was more of an adorable spas yet so lovable against Ida's straight laced smart guy with no concept of what it means to like another person.
Fourth is playing Atom like he wants to be like Aoki but he's more like a slightly different version of Gun (his role in MSP)
So for me I will end with Episode 1 and go watch Kieta Hatsukoi again to show how this really should be done with Aoki, Ida, Hashimoto and Akkun (Aida) in the only version I want to remember.

Cute and funny
It was cute and funny, I really enjoyed it. People say it’s boring but I disagree, you don’t always need a big plot or a lot of kiss scenes to make it a series good. It was simple and good. I watched the Japanese series before but tbh I can’t remember it a lot lol. They had good chemistry, the side couple was also sooo sweet. I don’t have a lot more to say but overall 8,5/10 ❤️Was this review helpful to you?

dilly-dally
I'm not G4 fan but I used to watch their MSP series and quite enjoyed it. When the official trailer of MLMU was released, I felt a bit odd as it seems like the acting is not as good as I expected. This feeling maintain the same when I watched 1st ep.Fourth acting is ok but in some scences it seems like he gets exhauted and turns out to be stiff.
About Gemini, his acting is a bit no for me :( Tbh, he doesn't do well in those soliloquy scences. I was extremmly impressed by the actor played Ida role in Japanese ver. He did really well in those soliloquy scences so when it comes to Gemini, I was really disappointed. His acting in those scences is so boring and stiff. It makes me feel a bit annoying and really dont want to keep watching this series.
Both fourth and gemini acting make me so confused. I wonder have they ever pay attention to train their skill, like taking some acting skill class to improve or so.
It's kinda disappointed somehow as I like the original Japanese manga. I used to watch the japanese live action ver then dropped after few episodes as I couldn't stand the "overreact" Japanese acting method. That's why I was very excited knowing about the thai ver. But when it's released, it's just so... plain. I'm kinda dragging my feet whether i should keep watching or just drop. Hmmmmm. I wonder will it gonna be better for the next episodes or just keep plain like this.

Masterpiece!
I just don't know understand why some people say this series is not up to their expectations. even though this is a remake, i loved it. now im so thrilled to watch the original series. GeminiFourth was out of league. just 🔥. im upset about the fact that the series has come to it's end.this would be my first detailed review.
first of all story. i heard that the original series was also a masterpiece and it's true. i love how they made this a friendly series. it is very soft and i love how they portray Fourth. his acting was out of this world. he expressed the character's emotions as his own. like a normal person who is living in fear because of this homophobic world. and how this series puts in that there are people who support the LGBTQ++ community. it also is a message that love doesn't have boundries. overall the story was the best.
acting and casting was like wow! Gemini was so into character. he is like so boyfriend material. i love the way he makes the drama so pure. and the GeminiFourth moments are just 🔥. and my best FotFot. he is the best. i ain't showing partiality. but i love Fourth's acting more. and im sure he and Gemini has got a big world ahead. im not only speaking about them but Chokun(Half) and Pahn(Mudmee) was also great. it's my first time seeing them. but they have a place in my heart now. and i have become a fan of Mudmee The Hulk.
music was also great. im sure Re-Move On would be everyone's favorite. i love Re-Move On and Whenever I see you. both are great songs.
I could rewatch this series a hundred times. but still MSP is my favorite. I liked MLMU but I loved MSP.

I dont’t really understand when people gives it low review because they compares to the japanese version which is BS because thats a totally different show.
I havent watched the whole japanese version because I didnt like the first episode so far. So I just scrolled the episodes and for my taste the japanese version ending was boring.
But I can refer to it.
So I am really satiafied because I liked the thai version much better and the main reason was GeminiFourth acting and Phan was good too. I love the fact that the thai version is based on the whole manga and not the japanese version because the manga wasnt compeleted when the japanese version came out.
I love the cinemtography as well. P’Au is a great director and I love his work so much. I cant wait and I am so excited for episode 2.
