totally worth watching
I Hear The Sunspot 2024 was an amazing drama. I really enjoyed watching it. The feelings were so genuine; I could truly feel them. It made me wonder how life can possibly be from someone else’s perspective. I love that it showed us that people don’t want to be treated differently or pitied but instead want to be counted as normal members of society. The drama didn’t only carry beautiful messages and make us concerned; it also helped us understand what love truly is. I could feel the love. I wish everyone finds someone they want to change this world to a better place for. I hope someone comes into everyone’s life who can show them the way they want to take steps, grow, and glow.
Talented cast, beautiful story. All I can say is that I adored it.

Prettiest 2024's BL
Was waiting for this drama to air, didn't expected that much, but oh God. The story, the character, the cinematography, all make me fall in love. Kohei and Taichi express their emotions really well (make me cry a few time). I love the ending so much, netral, nice, lovely ending<3Was this review helpful to you?
"Unspoken Bonds: Hidamari ga Kikoeru and the Quiet Power of Love"
I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt like I needed to make an exception for Hidamari ga Kikoeru—because this series moved me in ways I never expected. It’s rare to come across a story that resonates so deeply, and yet, this one did.The way this series captures emotions is remarkable. It’s not showy or melodramatic; instead, it’s thoughtful, genuine, and smart. Everything about it feels natural, almost effortless, yet so real that you can’t help but get pulled in. The love that grows between Kohei and Taichi is understated, quiet, and tacit—but it’s there, and it’s powerful. You can feel it in their every interaction, their shared silences, and the smallest of gestures.
What stands out most is the struggle they both face—not just with the challenges that life throws their way, but with their own vulnerabilities. Kohei’s hearing loss isolates him in ways that are heartbreaking, and yet, Taichi’s warmth and acceptance bring a light into his life. The way the series handles Kohei’s struggles and his gradual opening up to Taichi feels honest and sensitive. Every obstacle, every moment of pain and uncertainty, every resolution—these are all woven together in such a way that you feel as if you’re living this journey with them.
As their bond grows, so does their understanding of one another’s feelings. It’s stunning to watch these two characters connect so deeply, to see their unspoken love grow into something unmistakably real. For me, this series is something truly special, an experience of living love and friendship on a level that goes beyond words.
In the end, I was left in tears, feeling an intense sense of fulfillment. Hidamari ga Kikoeru isn’t just a love story—it’s a story of acceptance, understanding, and the quiet power of human connection. This series will stay with me, a reminder that sometimes, the deepest bonds are the ones that don’t need to be spoken.

One of the better BL shows but there’s room for improvement
The show started out strong as I love the chemistry between Kohei and Taichi. The plot development was great too considering how their first kiss at the staircase was early in the drama. But it kind of goes downhill from there especially with the appearance of Maya. The story also gets unnecessarily draggy. Some episodes felt like it gives nothing to the story development. I kind of understand the struggles that Maya felt but because the episode was short, it just portrays only her bitchiness, which naturally, lends to more people hating on her.Acting wise, the one who portray Kohei was stronger in my opinion. The actor who did Taichi did well in the beginning but he kinda falters because his expression felt one-dimension when he tries to do the reflective expressions. And I was also kind of annoyed with his passiveness in acknowledge his feelings, like it takes too long in my opinion.
Music was really good. Love the ending song. Overall, enjoyable watch but also agonizing too.

JUST LIKE READING THE MANGA
No words to explain how much I loved watching this. It's just like reading the manga. I'm so so so glad they decided to make this live action. I've always known about Kohei and Taichi, but really got to know them thanks to this one. I also started reading the manga and it amazed me how similar they're. Thanks thanks thanks. This is so worth it. I wish we could keep seeing more, a second season would be amazing if they keep doing it like this one. Little changes from the manga but still the same. I loved it with my whole heart and fell instantly in love with each character. Would love to see more of Yasu, Yoko, Maya, Chiba and Sai.Was this review helpful to you?
A must watch Japanese series since “Cherry Magic”
At first I didn’t expect much about this series because the started with Taichi - an aggressive and loud kid which was the type of character that I disliked the most. Nevertheless, the energy I used to bear with him to see how the series going rewarded me hugely! I love everything about this series! If you’re looking for obvious skin ship gestures, kissing and such you should skip this one. The way the love was expressed in this series was really subtle yet it touched my heart deeply. The love between the two character was pure and enormous, it looked as if it was unrealistic but isn’t it the type of thing that we’re looking for in these kinds of series? Was this review helpful to you?

A thing of pure beauty
This show is just so so wonderful! The story of a friendship, and blossoming romance, between a shy, insular boy who's going deaf and a dorky, exuberant, excitable puppy of a boy who becomes his note-taker in class. The leads are amazing actors who have a really beautiful and pure chemistry. There are some real laugh out loud moments from Taichi, a guy who cannot fail to make you smile with his boundless energy, but he'll also make you cry with his sincerity and purity of heart. It's no surprise that Kouhei falls for him as Taichi treats him with a respect and honest friendship that he's never known before.
Be warned that when she arrives, you will hate Maya - the new girl with hearing loss who is Kouhei's junior - with the burning intensity of a thousand, white-hot suns!
The only reason this didn't get a solid 10 from me was that I really would have liked to have seen one tiny, beautiful kiss between them, instead of the one fakey, shot from behind their head so you see nothing kiss. But to be honest, even if this had been a bromance rather than a BL, I still would have loved it! It's charming and sweet and funny and touching and beautiful and I'll definitely be watching it again!

WORTH THE WAIT!
I Hear The Sunspot and I am in love with it. This is probably one of the most BL mangas that I have heard of ever since I started to delve into the world of BL mangas but the adaptation just came in this year and I am not disappoint. Honestly speaking, I will go ahead and say that this is one of the bests this year for so many damn good reasons. The story follows two kids. One of Taichi who has divorced parents and is working two jobs to earn his keep. He is living with his loving grandfather since none of his parents wanted him despite of that, he is a fucking ray of sunshine and I would probably want to be with someone like him for the rest of my life. Seriously, he is so pure, innocent, lovely, understanding, open, kind, and so many more good adjectives that there is. I really love this character so much that I would marry him just like a hamburger steak. He is also very hungry. I mean, he uses so much energy to give other people and I feel like he deserves so much more love than he is getting. Luckily, he met another kid named Kohei who is hard of hearing. Taichi became his notetaker since he is having difficulties hearing and what he offers him is amazing food that his mother prepared. It is a symbiotic relationship to say the least but he soon developed feelings for Taichi. Honestly speaking, who wouldn’t? Taichi is such a good-hearted boy and we have seen this multiple times in the show but the scene where he protected Kohei from Miho who did not really have bad intentions but somehow romanticized the situation of Kohei. It must have been hard for him to be that popular and to slowly lose his hearing. It must have been hard and what made me love him and Taichi more is how they are empathizing with other by respecting each other’s decision as much as possible. It is such a wholesome kind of relationship that only one can dream of. The love story of the characters may not have happened immediately and I really understood why. I think the way that Taichi reacted to the confession was so sincere and he may not have felt it in that way before but the slow burn really worked with these two because the love story aspect did not feel forced at all and they are having a story of their own. The individual storylines that these characters had focused on their growth and the future. This is why the confession in the last episode where Taichi admitted that he is also in love with him just made me smile the most. These are characters who struggled with admitting who they love because of different reasons but it all boiled down to how they really felt and that is just a romantic scene without forcing it to be. It is just their emotions and what they really feel at that time. It is just really them at that moment and that is just lovely. I also want to give flowers to Kobayashi Toranosuke and Nakazawa Motoki who played Taichi and Kohei, respectively. These are very young actors but the performances that they gave were outstanding. I will have to admit that Kobayashi Toranosuke really captivated me with his performance. The range that this young actor has and how expressive his face is – is just phenomenal. I was so impressed, amazed, and flabbergasted with his performance. He is portraying these external emotions and have good inner monologues too. He is really good. We also have an impressive supporting cast. Actually, the writing in this show is impeccable from start to finish because they just really let the characters have their moments without forcing us to like one but instead made us fall in love with both of them while making sure that all of the supporting characters have their own stories or lives as well. It is such good writing and directing that made it all work. Everyone in this show did an amazing job and this is worth the wait. Was this review helpful to you?
mudaram vidas

A Beautiful Continuation of their Story
The word 'Beautiful' perfectly encapsulates this series. The story, the sounds, whether a summer or a rainy day, the characters, and the people in their lives all come together to make it a beautiful and comforting watch. This series adapts the story from the manga and movie into something unique. The world of two beautiful souls who have been neglected in different ways; they meet and form a beautiful connection. While this version is familiar, several changes have already improved the overall story. My expectations are high.
A bonus is that I'm already in love with the actors' interpretations of these roles and look forward to watching their chemistry unfold. I definitely recommend this one!

Love this but one thing I do have to say about it
It is such a good drama I truly love the storyline and how they work together but I wish there was more to it. I loved it so much I need more of this type of storyline. Anyone know of bl stories/shows that are like this one? I truly love it and hope to have more of them together or atleast find a show with a similar plot/storyline.Was this review helpful to you?
