Excellent because of heart-throb -- Vin Zhang <3
I am suffering from withdrawal from the very charming and very suave and very handsome Vin Zhang as Xu Yan Shi. My O MY, he is the embodiment of gentlemanly gorgeousness! I love seeing him on my screen. He is like a god! What I love about this drama:
- Vin Zhang, ML, as XYS. Oh goodness. He is seriously a good-looking fellow! His presence and appearance take my breath away. He is well-built and manly. (I loved him in The King's Woman and I am thrilled to see him here.)
- I like how the character, XYS, is written and portrayed. He just takes things as they come and he tries his best to do the right things and the best things possible. It is no wonder that his "underlings" adore and respect him so much. If I had such a capable and sacrificial leader, I would too.
- I like the FL as she is an excellent actress but I wonder if another actress will be even more suitable for her role. However, as she is a fine actress, she does justice to the drama.
- The many kissing scenes are exceedingly hot! Woo hoo! :)
- I like that the leads are truly into each other. They do not fool around with others after making promises to commit as a couple. I like the bit of "healthy jealousy" in that the leads get jealous when there is reason to. They are not crazily jealous and do ridiculous things. I also really like that XYS is secure and that he tells FL to be herself and to show-off her wealth and style if she wishes to.
- I like that, in this show, it is the FL in charge and in control. She is the one who has the immense wealth to be the mover and shaker. Usually, it is the ML who is the "chaebol" type and the FL is the little woman in need of saving and such. Here, the FL is fully independent and fully capable. She does not need a man to complete her life. She is whole and autonomous. I really like this! She wants to be with him because she wants him in her life and not because she requires saving or that she feels that she lacks a man.
- The supporting cast are not the best actors and actresses in my opinion but they try and they are, generally, not hateful. In fact, I am quite fond of the supporting cast. The grandpa is cute. The little "underlings" are quite cute too.
- There are plentiful things happening in the drama which serve well to keep me riveted. I like a good story.
- I like that the bad guys get their just deserts which felt really great!
- The ending is an extremely happy one (for all the good guys)! I love happy endings even if they are cliché.
What I do not fancy too much:
- Some parts are a little draggy. But, just use FF button.
- I do not like the bad guys but we need action which comes from villains.
Overall, this drama is a lovely one because of the leading man, Vin Zhang as XYS. He is such a gorgeous gentleman in the show. I want to present him with "Boyfriend of the year (2023) award" for his stunning, convincing and lovely portrayal of XYS.
I love XYS and I love Vin Zhang as XYS! <3
I foresee myself re-watching the lovey-dovey scenes which showcase the handsome ML in all his absolutely delicious glory!

Now they meet again at work and maybe this time it will work.

Janice Wu's Xiang Yuan makes a bet with her grandfather and takes a job in a struggling branch of his company, where she unexpectedly finds herself working alongside her childhood crush, Vin Zhang's Xu Yan Shi. It's nice to see that although Xiang Yuan has grown up spoiled and getting her way, she's kind and hardworking and does take her job seriously. I liked how the events of the past between Xiang Yuan and Xu Yan Shi were gradually revealed through flashbacks. I was really glad that they cast actual teens as the younger versions of their characters--the teens did a fantastic job.
Xu Yan Shi has really faced a lot of hardship in his life; your heart will hurt for him. He's unaccustomed to sharing his burdens with others, and that's the biggest obstacle between Xu Yan Shi and Xiang Yuan: communication. They really needed to be better at talking things out, although on the plus side they did usually resolve their issues quickly. The last six episodes really disappointed me though, because they stopped communicating entirely. They should've worked to find a solution together! And, Feng Jun gets thrown back in the story and his actions and motives made so sense. What was the point?!
I enjoyed the storylines about the company's struggles; it's unsurprising for there to be office politics and rival factions, and there were some surprises I didn't expect. I loved the team that Xiang Yuan and Xu Yan Shi worked with and the friendship that they formed. Gao Leng was a bit over the top but still brought a lot of humor to the story. However his relationship with Chen Shu did become annoying later on and I wish it had developed differently. It felt like everyone just pressured Chen Shu just because Gao Leng was a caring person--but just because someone is caring towards you doesn't mean you have to be in a relationship with them! It would've been fun if there had been more of Xiang Yuan's brother instead of the Chen Shu/Gao Leng storyline. Also, I can't forget Lao Qing, who was probably my favorite character besides the leads! His humor was on point every single time.
I enjoyed the OST, especially Chen Xue Ran's opening song and 心里的流星 (Meteor In My Heart) by 周蕙 (Zhou Hui).

80% great, last 20% awful
This Drama started well and held up well until around episode 26/32. Wu Qian's FL was genuinely independent and self-assured, and the character grew and matured well. Tha'ts why I stuck it out and ended up still giving it 7/10 when I came VERY close to dropping it.The reason I nearly dropped it was not the ridiculously OTT flag-waving propaganda about Beidou. I'm used to zoning out and FFing through that kind of bakvass - did through beoth times I watched Go Go Squid. Nope, it was the controlling and childish ML, and the way the final few episodes hammered home the message that in the end, ONLY a man can save things and EVERY woman MUST have a man to fix things for her.
The ML says at one point "the most important thing in a long-distance relationship is trust. Let's not ever keep secrets" and then repeatedly tells the FL NOTHING about stuff going on his life, like when he loses someone dear to him or nearly gets seriously injured and yet AFTER that he's thumping his fist on a door demanding to know why she didn't tell him the company she's running is in trouble. VERY disappointing after a promising start. To eventually have the final 3 paint him as the saviour of both the FL and her company was ghastly

decent romance show, can give it a try
Wouldn't miss any drama with ZBB as the hot male lead. Although still played as the handsome and smart one, i find his role as Xu Yan Shi very likeable compared to other drama.Pace of the show is pretty ok, not draggy and things get resolved quickly and move on. Female lead is also very refreshing. I love how male and female leads does not really play the "play hard to get" game.
Very good balance between work and romance (lots of lovey dovey scenes!!) Highly recommended if u are looking for something light hearted yet not too lame/brainless.

A CHAOTIC START THAT BECOMES SOLID BUT ENDS IN CHAOS AGAIN
**The below review is based on personal views and preferences.Dont let them influance your choice to pick or pass this drama.THE STORY:
The usual childhood silent crushes that are separated with time and reunited by "fate/destiny" when one is trying to save one of
her grandfather companies and the other trying not to sink with the same company..Not only they try as much possible to stay away
from eachother, they later realise they are both fighting in the same direction, and so on and forth,i really dont put importance on the side stories.
THE CAST:
This drama might not have been on my top 30 but it sure introduced me to a new actor that has entered on the list of my all time favorite actors.
Not only he is really talented but the visuals are from another world. This is not a professional review so am going to be as mondaine as possible
while talking about this man..He is absolutely beautiful man and he deserves to pick romantic projects and he is allowed to showacase his chemistry.
The most memorable character in this drama is the FL's Grandfather who is chairman,He made this drama enjoyable and he gave us the comedy we needed
when the chaos was chaoting. He was charming, witty, slick and he didnt take nothing serious,he must be a veteran in the industry because he was the really MVP.
I love FL that is strong with a can do attitude and is not afraid to face hardship and she serves this,of cause writers didnt miss the usual angst and annoying
lines but at least she had a good relation with the grandpa and she was fearless with him and you can see how much he loved her very much.
OVERALL:
The story would have been good if it had met sober writers, but this bunch of men or women were all over the place, the cam around in the middle and the story
became enjoyable but in the end they went off course and I cant count how many times i rolled my eyes..It became the worse version of "You are my glory"
And the CP never ending monologue made an entrance and the whole drama went south.

Adorable! Sweet, but not too sweet. really loved this one.
Very refreshing rom com. Different from the normal tropey plot. Well acted. Loved the ML and FL, and grandpa. Janice Wu is, as usual, terrific. And I'm becoming a fan of the actor that plays the ML. As others have said, it's quite long. Could cut out at least 5 episodes. Long wait for FL and ML getting together, but it makes for a slow burn and sizzling romance. The side characters are dull, as others have said, and drag things down. Music is wonderful. Refreshing female lead. Intelligent, doesn't back down. ML is not abusive at all -- kind to FL.Yes, I see that reviewers found the patriotism a little too much. For me, it was expected. It's a Chinese show. It's natural that they would include patriotism in it, especially about the pride of space exploration. It's far less than in "You Are My Glory".

A-
This is a very decent Chinese romance drama. Overall it's quite similar to You Are My Glory, but it has more comedy & the setting is different. (entertainment industry vs. corporate environment in this one) Janice Wu is always 10/10 in romcoms & this paring's been quite fantastic. Also I like "faceslaps" in Chinese fiction & this drama has plenty of that. One big positive in this drama is that the high school flashbacks are quite well done. There are not overly many of them & have proper child actors, which is always nice to see.
So why is it only an 8?
Well, for starters the final 4-5 episodes were quite difficult to get through. The crises were not too serious or anything, but the whole "company's in dire straits" thing was really unfun to watch & then a rocket had been launched & we got fed an incredible amount of Chinese propaganda stuff before the ending credits.
There is also the matter of ML's younger brother. To me it feels like the writer thought the leads are ready to get married, so let's fix the ML's "big problem" before then, I'm quite disappointed with this, the kid was comedy gold, would have much rather watched him bicker with FL, over whatever corporate shenanigans that went down.
Also I really disliked most of the songs. Mainland Chinese rock that gets to be on TV almost always sounds really weird to me, but this drama has been perhaps the worst offender so far.
Oh I almost forgot, the drama is full of insane product placements.

This was a good watch. I didn't expect too much because of the rating says 8.6. But after finished the whole episodes, i found this series is enjoyable to watch. There's no unnecessary triangle love conflict between the main role, so the audience will not feel stressful about the romance-conflict.I love how the BTS crew cast the actor for this series. Wu Qian is the perfect match for the character she plays in this drama. She got that "Fancy & Luxury" vibes effortlessly which suits best with Xiangyuan's character. This is the first Wu Qian's drama i watch, so my opinion is not subjective. Then we got Zhang Bin Bin as the counterpart of Wu Qian's acting. They're the perfect match for this drama.

Romance with a different vibe
A romantic Cdrama with a bit of a bit different vibe than many of the others I have seen. It did manage to stir my emotions in several scenes. They didn’t steer away from all the clichés (like woman tripping and being saved by man), and the female characters in many Cdramas that are too childish and whiny (that I personally find quite annoying) was reduced to a smaller one.
I liked that the FL had a “spunky” personality, and I thought the granddad was a cool character.
The show made me feel everything from the heartaches and despair to attraction and desire, especially from the ML.
What stops me from giving full score is the rushed ending, and the fact that some scenes felt too much like a promotional video for Chinas tech sphere.

Here we meet a bunch of immature possessive men and satellites
This is another one of those dramas with great potential brought down by praise China and low expectations, or is it something else for men... To the men out there reading this, I believe you can control you impulses, fists and lips! You can do it! Yes you can!Seriously if I where a man I would be offended by how they portrya even the so called good guys/ male lead as immature, impulsive extremely insecure and immature along side being another male god. To be clear the actor did an amazing job with what he got and there are moments of fluff, fireworks and what not. Toxic, and I counted at least 3 times the guy pretty much forced aggressive (some would say passionate) kisses as a show of possessiveness/act of jealousy on our female lead..
which brings us to our female lead on the other hand is really cool, kind, smart awesome, and while she does actually seem to react to the male leads behaviour she also shows us how easy it is to get trapped by this. So had this been a thriller type drama with say 15 episodes this would have mede an easy 10.
Unfortunately it is supposed to be a romance, and while I did enjoy some moments between our couples, as well as the occasional flirting and buttoned down shirt. The never endin praise china, aggressiveness, lack of communication and endless self sacrifice ruined the romance and had me spinning pokestops to stay awake.
That said characters are fun, friendships sweet and the actors are good at their job, all keeping this from getting a lower score and helping me stick with it till the end.
P:S the professor was the only character on this show that I fully juist found annoying and did not ad a single thing to the plot.
