The plot has a beginning, a middle and an end, in between it's disconcerting (rabbit hopping).
Despite the visual appeal one feels from Yung Sang Yi to Kang In Su, the romance is almost non-existent, no depth in the feelings except the song at the end of the series. However, the screenwriter can compensate for this by offering a second season ☺️
Luckily the actors and singers did a great job and the series soundtrack is good ❤️
Looking back, I had the impression that this series is more of a marketing plan to boost the careers of the two singers than to offer a beautiful love story. It's very light to be in the Boys Loves category

Sweet but lacks in depth and acting skills
There are a few sweet moments in between but overall the story and especially the relationship between the leads isn't working. The issues lay both in the writing and in the acting.First just a few words about the acting: Lee Sangs acting is so flat and wooden that I felt absolutely nothing looking at his face. The other guy, Kang In Soo is not outstanding either but much more expressive and breathed some life into the show in a few scenes at least.
The story is very simple. Actually I didn't find the whole premise too bad in itself and it could have worked with characters that have more depth and a more focused story line. Unfortunately neither the side characters nor the main leads are memorable or convincing. The dialogues are quite banal so that it feels a little like the writers are still beginners at their craft. The scenes are sometimes quite random and many aspects aren't properly explored and executed. They throw in a little of this, then a little of that and then a cute line or moment in between. You could blame the lack of time but the plot was simplistic enough that they could have make it work if they would have focused on a few essential aspects.
Of course the production quality is high, as expected for a Kdrama and the songs are nice as well. However the execution is just so typical that scenes that are supposed to be heart-wrenching just feel ordinary and lackluster. It's just you're typical cookie-cutter Kdrama style with your typical choice of camera work, colors and music but without any creativity or innovation. When they had their sad break-up time for almost five minutes during the last episode I did something else and only occasionally checked the tab if they've finally moved on.
Overall the show feels like a flat painting only in base colors, without any shades or highlights or some kind of fine-tuning or nuances added to it. I would have dropped the show around the third episode if it had been any longer. I hope that in upcoming productions they learn to focus more, are a little braver and innovative and get some leads with proper acting skills. They seem to have all the tools needed to make a good show so it would be nice to see them taking that step. (It would also be nice to have a refreshing story for once, without any idols, entertainment stuff or rich people's sons but let's not set the expectations too high lol)
As a conclusion: It's okay to watch this show if you're looking for something short and simple, if you want to kill some time but not get too emotionally invested and just need some random sweet moments thrown at you. But you surely won't miss out on anything if you skip this one.

Just okay.
In the span of 8 episodes, it was not bad but at the same time it is not really impactful to the viewers. The story is kinda common, the acting isn't really that overwhelming maybe because the flow of the story is light. The thing I love the most in this series is the OST. It was well blend and harmonize, fit to the title itself.I guess if they can only present more, I'm sure it will be good enough. I don't really feel the chemistry between the main lead but it's okay at least at some point I was feel happy watching one of their scenes.
The only thing I want for Korean BL is to please lengthen every episodes of your series. The potential is there and we, the fans, wanted more!

Short, sweet, and heartwarming
This was so pure. The relationship between the lead males is like sunshine on a cloudy day. They became two halves as one thru trust and the love of music. Sang and Insoo impressed me with their execution of acting out their feelings towards one another in a supportive way. You'd never know they aren't long time seasoned actors. Very proud of them as a long time fan of their idol works. There was no cringe value here, like some BL stories I've seen. Only adoration. Hard to describe my feels of love for this drama really. Between the sweet story line and excellent music I easily have watched this multiple times. Big shout out to this entire cast. It has become an all time favorite now. I can't wait to see the upcoming movie version #WishYou 라이브토크 #헬로라이브_후기Was this review helpful to you?
Wish You is a simple romance drama that need more time to develop.
STORY- First I would like to say that I love that Korea is starting to produce BL content. I hope that these short dramas could some day (hopefully) lead to something bigger. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this short drama as much as the other two. I found the story to be lacking and the short length made it hard to fall in love with the characters. I feel that this story would have done better in a longer format, with more time to let the story play out. The characters felt flat at times and the romance was good but just needed more time to develop. This story has potential to be good, that why I would give it a 7.5.ACTORS- The acting was good but not great. Nothing stood out to me but in no way was it horrible. It was just fine.
MUSIC- The music was good, I enjoyed hearing In Soo sing. It fit well with the vibe of the drama, so I have no complaint.

I didn't feel anything about the actors acting or chemistry, there wasn't anything there to feel to begin with. Seeing them interact was more awkward than anything else.
Overall, it's a so so web drama, not that bad but not good either. Mediocre, i would say.

If you're looking for an in between heavy drama filler, than this is definitely your boo. The story itself is nothing new, but the two main actors and the secondary characters give it life. The cinematography is very lovely and, given the extremely short length, the BL relationship develops quite quickly. I feel like a Korean BL pro at this point because, in due form to their current LGBTQ acceptance, the series was over quickly but was still enjoyable for me. Don't go in to this expecting amazing plot development, well fleshed out characters, and neatly tied bows on the storyline. This doesn't have any of those. That being said, I would fully welcome a complete series featuring this storyline as there is so much they didn't follow up on. The chemistry between the two leads is spot on and we get A LOT of up close an personal shots of them looking into each other's eyes. My BL heart was screaming in happiness and second-hand embarrassment the whole time. The acting was really good and I actually loved Sang Yi's character. The music was pretty decent and nice to listen to, which I would expect from a music based series. There are no surprises here, but it did keep a smile on my face.
All all all, a cute and short series that doesn't accomplish too much but left a very sweet, albeit cheesy, feeling behind. I would say give it a go as it doesn't take up too much time and is a nice filler mini-series.

It's totally sweet...too sweet
As I always says once korea starts paying attention in this field ,korea will be ahead for sure. First of all , the story was kinda short but sweet. And second thing ,I found the male leads really really good looking ......you can say I m biased towards korean actors or something .!They sweet main lead is adorable and other strong male lead is really handsome (omg).
Turning to the story ,it was good but as audience our curiosity wants to see this story proceedings and good things keeps happening. But don't worry we also know making movies aren't easy and we will be waiting and looking forward for it.
In conclusion (I know no one is gonna read this much but still) we you want to see something sweet go ahead. Don't hesitate.....!

Why? Well, the story was quite simple and the plot seems like not going anywhere.
I love the music, even I was playing all of the soundtracks while I was taking bath.
I know that Korea is kinda new in BL, but philippines have more qualities BL series. However, I hope I could see another BL from Korea!!!

OHEMGEE
Ok so I didn't expect much from this series simply because it was so short. I can proudly say I'm disappointed in myself for saying blasphemy! lol If you're looking for something where they ravage each other you came to the wrong place. If you love music, enjoy a sweet BL, like a not so basic storyline/plot with visuals all around then look no further. Even though it was short I wasn't left questioning anything, they didn't get off track and it wasn't rushed; can't tell me that's not a pro in itself! This is probably my favourite Korean BL (and I've seen a LOT of BL).Don't knock it 'til you try it!...

Review of "Wish You: Your Melody From My Heart"
- Can I start off by saying that I am absolutely in love with this show! Its one of those shows that you can only describe as 'short but sweet.' While there is only 8 episodes and the episodes are only lile 8-12 mins long it was sooo worth it. While at times things could be fast-paced, it wasn't in a chunky, uncomfortable way; It was more of an let's move it along way shall I say? While, the story is quite cliche, its cute and cringy in a good way. I was left with some questions but well I'm gonna have to suck it up now won't I?- I'm absolutely in love with the soundtrack. There was a wonderful mix of original songs, western music, and some nice instrumental here and there (and we all love a good instruamental). All in all lets just say that my spotify just updated.
- The actors were amazing to put it simply. Its truly been a while since I've seen two actors express so much with just their eyes. And also.... They both fine as hell, not to point out the obvoius here.

It's Korean BL so I am happy
I really enjoyed the series the fact it was from South Korea. Which is very conservative in terms of LGBT so the series is very good but the problem was that it was a very short series and the first 4 episodes were so slow but then in last four was like damn to fast I never get to know how their feelings started for each other Kang In Soo and Yoon Sang Yi chemistry was really good so they did what they were told so the series is good I can watch this in one take series so you can watch this series I hope that South Korean Drama start to focus on BL storyline so it will be very I really wish that South Korea made an proper BL series like how they made K drama so a good series for Christmas week. Was this review helpful to you?
