Unlikely Love Story
This drama surprised me in the best way possible and I loved it. When you start the series you have an idea that it will just be a silly show that makes a comedy out the illnesses of the main lead but it does a wonderful and sincere job of explaining the characters and how they grow and get better. The whole cast did an amazing job on the comedic aspects but also the more serious scenes. The characters are great as well even the side characters. I especially loved the main leads. Their romance was so soft and wonderful to watch. It had a quirky and awkward charm that made it feel real. This drama is very underrated and I'm glad I stumbled upon it. It's a quick watch and every easy to binge in one night. Was this review helpful to you?

One of the funniest rom com out there. Watch it!!!
I think I find one of the funniest rom com so far.Absolutely amazing.
The leads here are so funny and so likebale and reliable.
How they met is so funny and random.
Sure there are few cliche stuff here and there but it's not enough to bring the show down.
Only cliche things are how they ended up going to the same therapy doctor and lived next door to each other. Sure that can happen in real life but super slim lol
But you gotta have a show so writers had no choice.
Other that, I love everyone here and I love the humor and the chemistry between the leads.
The FL is here specially is so great. She also had some really messed up stuff that happened to her with her ex( very disturbing stuff) a very violent guy.
This show really delt with some really dark stuff but they find a way to balance everything with humor and characters developments
There are online hate, physical and domestic violence, drugging on this show.
Both leads have their own problems they are dealing with.
But the FL had it the worst since she had to live a completely different life in order to get away from her abuser and of course, since the family is powerful he managed to get out of jail and found her again anyway.
He poisoned her dog, and drugged her. Crazy stuff
Also, this show also handled a transgender/cross dresser character so well with the most respect you'd see on TV.
I was definitely surprise. She was definitely a third lead if you will.
How the neighbors treated her at first and how the ML responded to the harassments and all the bad comments. How they said the value of the place would go down if people find out there's a cross dresser living there btw, didn't happen since people don't care about other people business like that. Everyone is just trying to go by
How later you found out more about him or her, he or she not just a cross dresser. He or she has is own life, computer programmer stuff.
Won't spoil everything lol
There's two villains of this show.
One is the FL ex.
I still think he got off easy. As a guy, I absolutely distaste guys who beat up women. Horrible. She kept begging him not to hit her.
Dude was absolutely the worst thing on the show.
Her mom wasn't any better. Anyway that's too much spoiler
And the second one is a guy that the ML been trying to catch since he's a cop.
I think the story line for the ML were wrapped up way too quickly but I'll let it slide.
What you'd be interested in is the relationship and chemistry between the leads.
Two people who truly hated or couldn't stand each other at first, but slowly opened up to each other and be there for one another.
I'm usually not a fan of breakup before finale episodes I find them too cliche but here, there was a perfectly good reason why she decided to end thing before the finale.
Even with few cliche things here and there. I would still watch this again just to see them together and go at each other throats.
Very funny and well written rom com.

A short rollercoaster ride that must not be missed
Since it was a short kdrama, it solely focused on the main storyline. I didn't find any unnecessary twist and turn. But prepare a box of tissues and a pillow for the sorrow and anger it would give you. Even though the script may not be new, the leads' performance and chemistry were worth watching. Furthermore, the supporting characters were refreshing, hilarious, and wonderfully harmonized with the FL and ML. It was a mad ride from the start till the end. No moment seemed dull, but the ending was a little chaotic and rushed for me. Nevertheless, I liked it!Overall, the drama was perfect for a short break from heavy storylines.
BTW, the main leads' chemistry was fantastic, especially THE KISSES!!

This show was absolutely hilarious!
Sometimes I take dramas too seriously and even my drama watching too seriously so that I miss out on just enjoying a show because it is really just enjoyable. I'm glad that Mad for Each Other was the refreshing, breeze of fantastic entertainment because I remembered why I love TV so much. This was enemies-to-lovers done really well. I loooved the uproariously-funny bickering between Hwi-Oh and Min-Kyung so much that I wouldn't even realize I was in tears ...You just didn't know what to expect between the two and the development of their relationship was so beautifully crafted into their unique personalities. The chemistry was palpable and when they finally end up together, they are so cute that I was blushing. The acting by the 2 main leads was incredibly good; they were both charming in their quirky crazy way. Jung Woo as Hwi-Oh just blew me away.
I loved that mental illness and trauma was a big part of the story without overwhelming the plot so much; sth I appreciate about this show compared to other mental-illness-tagged shows where the topic is too much in your face. Instead, we had real character development. The flow of the plot was natural so that the captivating parts of the show hit the climax. Plus, the ending was just chef's kiss
This show failed to get a 10/10 rating only because I didn't get that certain je ne sais quoi ...can't explain it. Still, a great short rom-com that will make your day.

A Comedy That Hits Deeper Notes
At first glance, "Mad for Each Other" seemed like your typical light-hearted romantic comedy – something perfect for a bit of easy entertainment without too much emotional investment. The initial episodes reinforced this impression, serving up a good dose of humor that often bordered on the absurd. But as the story progressed, the drama revealed itself to be much more than just a collection of funny mishaps between two people who keep bumping into each other. As each episode unfolded, I realized that "Mad for Each Other" is actually a deeper exploration of real-life issues that often remain hidden from outsiders. What might appear amusing to onlookers can be a source of genuine pain for those suffering from mental health issues. The show expertly navigates the fine line between laughter and sorrow, highlighting how these emotions can coexist in the most unexpected ways.
I started watching "Mad for Each Other" expecting something light and short, but I quickly found myself drawn in by the complexity beneath the surface. I laughed, I cried, and the series left me with plenty to ponder. The chemistry between the main characters is fantastic, which only adds to the show's charm.
In conclusion, "Mad for Each Other" is a series that surprises. It begins lightly but gradually delves into more serious and meaningful themes. This k-drama entertains, moves, and offers food for thought. I highly recommend it!

Very much silver linings playbook
If you liked It's ok to not be ok and/or silver linings playbook, you'd love this. The acting is amazing and you will enjoy the main characters. It's the right balance of funny, while still touching on the very sensitive topics of mental health and trauma. I thought it was very well navigated. The plot is consistent, easy to follow with several plot lines contributing to the main story. It didn't feel rushed but got through a lot in only 13 30 minute episodes. overall, it was a very good show and I would definitely watch it againWas this review helpful to you?
Hilarious, sensitive, layered.
The most attractive thing about this drama would be the promos/teasers — they feel so out of the place and unusual that it makes you really curious about the drama. I began this drama because I wanted something light and wasn’t expecting much, but wow, it was such a pleasant surprise!Mad For Each Other has managed to address topics be which can horribly go wrong without be insensitive. Every character in this has a sense of purpose, and their interactions despite being filler don’t feel so. I loved the protagonists in this — so different from the usual leads we are used to. This is a proper enemies to lovers trope, I think. They start off in an extremely misunderstood circumstances but the progress goes on positively. For a short drama, they have nailed it without make it seem out of place. I also loved the supporting characters. Their interactions felt pure and there was always such growth.
Towards the ending however, I felt things got a little too dramatic. The drama has been a bit extra since the beginning but it’s managed to be that without being slapstick, but the end, it got a bit too over the top — certain scenes just felt unnecessary. I enjoyed the drama because it avoided the usual tropes, but at one point it does move towards that direction and yet manages to salvage itself, I think. Overall a good drama to watch when you want something not very intense!

Surprisingly good
I didnt expect much but it was actually pretty damn good. Its a quick light comedy with cool characters. What was really refreshing was the unusual relationship development of main and even side characters and weirdness throughout the story. Both main characters and their backgrounds were completely believable which is sometimes rare. Maybe the villian was kind of forced and his evilness was a little overkill i think. I was worried that side characters are gonna be annoiying from the first introducion but that was not the case. Overall very good underrated short drama. Was this review helpful to you?
A light and short series
I like that story make sense , realistic and light in the same timePros
Because the series is short thier is no side stories but the side characters stories are also funny and enjoyable
Although the espoide is only 30 minutes the main character have a past and you can feel thier problems deeply
This kdrama suitable for winter session especially or any one love winter vibes
I can say its a sclie of life drama with moments make you cry sometimes
Cons
You know when you want to solve the misunderstood that happen i hate this part in any kdrama this drama have a little bit of this but not all drama is a misunderstood so it will not bother you

A focus on mental health with a touch of appropriately-placed comedy
I started watching this show after being intrigued by the Netflix preview. Going into it, I was expecting something of an exciting plot with silly, heartfelt comedy. And while that was delivered exactly as I expected, the show's latter half focused more on romance. Except it wasn't the typical k-drama romance...Mad For Each Other took a more realistic approach from the traditional romantic portrayal. It captured the awkward essence between two strangers becoming close really well. And while I appreciated the recognition of mental health, it was the storytelling and appropriate scene execution that really put it to the next level - I especially love the scenes where the leads shared their feelings in relation to their mental wellbeing with their therapist. This was a really subtle yet creative way to show character development and chemistry between our leads.
Overall, I really don't have many negatives to pick about this show. The only thing I can nitpick is some of the subplots weren't really developed in the end. But the story, the acting and the scene delivery were done exceptionally well - and that's 99% of what I care about. As a plus, support characters were also both likeable and memorable. Overall I would recommend this to anyone.

two crazy people falling in love!!
AGHHHH i love this show so much!!!Its exactly like the title says “mad for each other”, and the two love interests were certainly crazy and mad for each other LOL
i didn’t expect myself to love this show as i would, but every episode was freaking hilarious and so fun to watch.
to break it down for you *starts break dancing*
okay for real, to break it down, its essentially a woman with some sort of OCD/ PTSD disorder who falls in love with a cop whos got anger issues.
when those two were first introduced i was curious on how they would make a MAN with ANGER ISSUES…seem like a good lovable character. but oh my god. I LOVED HIM.
both characters are most certainly insane and the shows title didn’t lie one bit. but their craziness was done well because it blended well with the humor and it evened it out.
this show was seriously silly and funny, there’s many moments that made me laugh, especially the ending where they made up 😭 you’ll see what i mean if you watch it!
overall, the characters in the beginning were frustrating (especially the FL) but its obvious that that was the whole point of it. so it didn’t bother me, because thats how she was meant to be lol.
but other characters (such as the women neighbours) were also a little annoying in the beginning but they had their development once a man who dresses up as a woman was introduced and they learned to accept him for who he was.
thats also something i wanted to mention, its how the ML was always so supportive and open to that neighbour characters choice of dressing up as a woman and being referred to as a woman. everyone in the show didn’t show any transphobia or homophobia, it was refreshing.
such a well done show, everyones dynamics with one another was flowing smoothly and i thoroughly enjoyed every second of it.
the one little nitpick i have is the makeup in the show, i think the FL had so much concealer that it was painfully cakey whenever she was on screen, sometimes i could even see the makeup on the ML, but like i said its a small nitpick of mine. it didnt bother me THAT much but i kept noticing how at the moments where the FL should look distressed and as if she has no makeup on, she clearly has makeup on and its cakey! 😭 but that doesn’t matter fr, the rest of the show was really good.
i recommend it!!
